I had a great experience with Smart Patio from the initial meeting with my specialist before purchase all the way to delivery. Everyone I spoke to was professional and friendly, making the whole process easy-going and exciting! Kudos to great customer service! Hard to find that now-a-days with covid being an excuse for everything

Last year we were looking to make some upgrades to our home due to Covid. A patio cover was always something that we talked about so we could use more of our backyard. Now we are in June and what a mistake we made.First, when we contacted Smart Patio they were in Orange County. We went by to talk to them about the plans and the building was empty. That was not a fun car ride home. They said they moved their shop to be closer to their clients up in the mountains where the 605 freeway ends. Months later we went by to talk about some problems we were having because they would not return our phone calls with the project and again, an empty building. Again?!?!?! Now after 2 months they are an hour east in a strip mall commercial complex (we got their address from their website). We got there, no signs, completely locked up with nobody to talk to. And of course, they do not answer their phones.A $10,000.00 project turned into almost $18,000.00 that does not work. All these new costs like shipping material from Vegas to their warehouse, we had to hire a company to build plans for our city (they said that was included), electrical, and tons of small costs that added up.So now, we have a patio cover that does not work, nobody answers their phones and no other company wants to come and fix their product. Everybody says that it is custom parts and they dont want to touch it.My wife is going to bring this up for the rest of my life, I can just see it. What a mistake I made. Do yourself a favor, get the final cost including all costs and warrantee in writing if you are going to purchase their product. The cost is almost double and there is no service to fix anything.

I dropped in to talk to them about the patio cover I wanted. Their very rude employee asked why are you on our property, no photos!?. I had my phone out, I was not taking photos of their parking lot and building, why would I? It is a business center where they have space, this is not a private building. I explained I was interested in their patio cover and I was told to fill out the information on their website and somebody will get back to me in a few days. A few days??? I am at your office and you are open. On top of that, the warehouse guys were sitting outside smoking weed. I know that is legal in California but when you are on the job running a forklift???? I am so glad I went to their shop in person, they are not shiny like their website. Rude, dirty, weed smoking team, I can see why there are so many other negative comments about their company. Just sad, I was there to spend money. So glad I did not sign up online.

I purchased my awning over four years ago it was one of the best investments I have made in my home. If I had to do it all over again I cannot imagine dealing with anyone else in orange county. Their honesty and integrity is above reproach!

They are so eager to collect fees but single handedly delayed my project. The engineering drawings I received were not what I was purchasing!!! They told me it would take another 4-6 weeks to get the correct engineering drawings!!! It took me contesting my cc charge for them to even respond as if they cared!!!BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS when dealing with them!! Not worth the hassle if you ask me!!! You can actually get exceptional service from a company that cares... its evident they dont!!Won’t ever work with this business & I recommend you don’t.
