Hello all, I would like to share my recent experience with Uptight Carpet in Avondale (contact info attached). At the beginning of May, my wife and I re-carpeted 3 rooms in our home. Given that this is an expensive home improvement, we did our research and ultimately went with Uptight Carpet. The sales rep Mr. Frank Chavarria was extremely knowledgeable regarding all of his products. He helped us narrow down a few choices out of hundreds of options. He provided all the facts good/bad and gave his suggestions. He did not pressure us to make a sale that day, which is a huge positive for me.When his team arrived to install the carpet, they were early, got to work right away. Once they were finished (photos attached), the installers and myself did a walkthrough and everything was perfect.I would recommend them to anyone I know.

Purchased a new home and the soiled, smelly carpet needed to be replaced ASAP before moving in. After going to several places and being told I would have to wait 4-6 weeks to get carpet installed (in 2021) I almost gave up and thought I would have just deal with it gross carpet.Luckily, I found Sarah!!! She worked her magic to ensure I would have the carpet installed week of move in! Hooray! She went above and beyond with carpet recommendations, let me know what carpet samples were in stock, to get the fastest install. The day she came out to measure the house she brought more samples with her. So glad she did because the carpet I chose didnt look good with the floors. Day of install everything went smooth. The installers are professional, perfectionist and didnt leave a mess. I am very happy with how it turned out! Sarah was very personable, friendly and resourceful. Recently had old carpet pulled out, new plank tile put down. Frank was great to work with, has a good eye for what complemented the existing old tile, and was able to tie it all together with the accent transition. The tile men were excellent, helped us get the furniture in and out of rooms, and even kept an eye on the cats that wanted to escape. Very pleased with the work and we were always able to communicate easily if needed. Highly recommended

We put new carpet in our home. Frank in the office was very knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant throughout the process. The two gentlemen that they sent to install the carpet were thorough, friendly, efficient and helpful. The process was very timely and without delay. We were very pleased with the entire process. Called first in an effort to understand best options for my staircase project. It was a difficult, circular conversation that went nowhere so I decided to go to the store to talk face to face. On arrival, I again tried to gain some professional insights for carpet options, costs, pros and cons of materials, etc. It was like pulling teeth! I was waved off in the general direction of a number of sample kiosks with zero personal engagement or information and was told to pick what I liked... wow, great insight! I wandered around a bit then decided to forget about buying any carpet here as no one was even remotely interested in working with me. So I switched gears and asked about natural stone for a different project I have going. I asked for samples but they had none to show me. I was told they could order stone samples and would call me when they arrived. I agreed and left my contact info. That was 6 weeks ago. I called back twice but they have never contacted me and never provided samples. Done with this place. I went to Floor and Decor. Had a great experience and purchased over $1500 of travertine. I would have liked to patronize a locally-owned small business but the lack of customer service was ridiculous. I won’t be back.

This is a slam dunk 5 star rating! We worked with Frank at Uptight to review what our options for carpeting were for two bedrooms. He listened to what our parameters were (type, plushness, wear concerns, and warranties) and showed us a couple of carpets so as to clarify what we wanted. We took samples home, then brought them back the next day with further clarification. He went straight to the carpeting that we ended up choosing! He did the measuring for us, so he was able to help us with color options - huge plus!Installation was within 3 weeks from the order and the installers were amazing. They moved our furniture (for a nominal fee) and had the job done inside of 2-3 hours. They were clean, wore masks, polite, and made sure we were happy prior to leaving.The carpet looks and feels amazing! Truly more than a few steps above what Home Depot or Lowes offers. Yes, its more expensive than Home Depot, but you get what you pay for. We expect this carpet to last a long time! Thanks Frank and thanks to Uptight! Weve already recommended them to others!

Uptight Carpet just finished installing tile in our home last week and we could not be more pleased with the entire process. They have an excellent selection at their showroom, and Sarah even ordered more samples for us to choose from so we could make the perfect selection for our home. The gentlemen who installed the tile were courteous, experienced and obviously skilled. Highly recommended!

I met Frank one afternoon while I was out and told him what I needed. He came out to our house, gave us a quote and we set up a time to start our new flooring. Edgar and Hector were the installers and they did a fantastic job putting our new floor down. We are having more work done hopefully in August and they will get the job. The owner of the store was a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgeable and helpful! My tile came out beautifully 😍 we already had an installer and he sold us the tile at a discount. I will make another purchase in the future. They have carpet tile grout cabinets and I think counters maybe too! All shapes and colors and patterns . We picked out the tile in store on a Thursday and it was ready for pickup the very next morning. The warehouse is just off litchfield. And they were great also 👍

Had a problem with our first experience here, but management reached out and wanted to make it right and they did! Matt came out and brought a couple samples he thought we would like and we loved one in particular. He got us back THREE quotes for it (changing the padding and changing the thickness of the carpet) so we could make an informed decision and he was extremely helpful. Will update once flooring is in, but I’m sure we will be very pleased in the quality

Frank was great to work with from start to finish. He helped us stay within our budget. He was on time to take measurements and had a quote for us within 24 hours. Great experience.. Had all my old carpet ripped out and installed tile that looks like wood. Great for my family and animals- no scratching. They were very professional, came when they were supposed to, completed work on time, good product and good installation. No problems and no fuss. Cleaned up after themselves and the floors look great!

I had vinyl plank flooring installed in my office meeting room. It looks incredible. They came out and measured, called me with a quote the next day and scheduled the install. The guys were super clean and quiet while installing. It was done fast. Such a good experience we went ahead and replaced the carpet areas too!

Frank Chavarria did an excellent job helping us with the selection, purchase and installation of our new carpet this week. He stayed within our budget and was sensitive to the tight timeline we had to get the job done. He personally measured the space and reviewed our options. Love this place. Great selection and prices. Sarah our sales advisor was fantastic. She was patient as we looked through many samples. She was honest and wasn’t trying to upsell us. She was very knowledgeable about all the different products from her years of experience. She reviewed our house square footage from plans to know an exact estimate. She even looked at different retailers to compare. We will always buy our flooring from her!

Very happy with the service I received from Frank.  My tenants recently vacated my property in Avondale and I quickly needed to replace my old carpet flooring in my entire house.  I chose Uptight Flooring based only on reviews I read online about past clients’ experiences with Frank.  I must say I wasn’t comfortable having to handle this transaction from out-of-state.  I felt like I had no choice but trust Frank.  I’m glad I did.  Not only did he do a great job with the flooring he also advised me of other items he thought I should be aware of in my vacated property that had nothing to do with his installation.  I will definitely use Uptight for future projects.

Uptight Carpet was very efficient, timely, and clean. They even were able to get us a tile that they didnt currently carry. We were referred to Frank at Uptight Carpet from a friend who had some work done by them. We couldnt be happier! Frank is an expert in his field. He is easy to work with, responds quickly to any phone calls or emails, keeps clients updated on progress and makes sure everything is completed to a high standard. We had a bathroom remodel done in our master bath at our second home and we took care of most of the communication with Frank over the phone and via email from our primary residence. We had just bought a house in Goodyear and wanted the carpet installed as quickly as possible, before unpacking everything. After much research and a recommendation from a good friend, I contacted Uptight Carpet to request a quote for new flooring. They were one of three companies from whom I requested quotes. Frank Chavarria was assigned to come out for measuring. Not only did he arrive early for our scheduled appointment, he brought some samples and promptly delivered a written quote. After a small negotiation, Frank was able to answer all my questions. I decided to go with them, mainly because they were able to provide the porcelain wood-look tile I wanted while remaining within my budget. Another plus is they would move large furniture.Within a couple days of signing the contract with Frank, Eddie (project manager) was calling to schedule the start date. Frank originally set expectations that they were about 4-6 weeks out for starting a new project. While this was within my timeline, Eddie gave me a start date only about 2 weeks out. What a pleasant surprise.It gets even better. Eddie called me a week before my project was to start, saying they finished a job early and could start that day. Since I was hosting a July 4th party, we agreed they would start July 5, instead of the originally scheduled July 9.On the morning of July 5, Edgar and Hector arrived on time. They did a brief walk-through of the home and gave me an outline of what to expect. They saw we would need to live in the house during the project and wanted to be sure I understood there could be a lot of dust from the tile removal. Then they promptly set to work moving furniture so they could begin tearing out the old tile and carpet.During the nine days it took to finish the project, Edgar and Hector were extremely conscientious. They even took time to play with our three-year old son. Eddie checked in on a daily basis, either with a phone call, text or a personal visit.Upon completion of the project, there were just a couple minor adjustments. Eddie was right there to fix everything. There was no pressure for the final payment the moment the installers were done, rather, Eddie wanted to be sure I was completely satisfied with every last detail. Later that day, Frank called to check that I was happy. I truly am.Uptight Carpet surpassed my expectations, delivering a beautiful floor on time and within budget. Went in; selected tile(s) to be brought to home with measure/coordinate with existing tile. No response for weeks. Followed up; still no response; 3rd call, sent out person with 1 tile who tried to upsell me by not using my own tile for transition; provided combined quote without cost/sf when I asked for detailed by room with costs and after 3 attempts refused to tell me who the manufacturer is so i can check details on tile, etc. Done!

Uptight tore out our carpeting from the MBR to the Master Bath area and replaced with porcelain tile on the floor. Their installers were outstanding; did a professional job fitting the tile; cleaned up each workday, and minimized dust and dirt through the removal of existing carpeting and old tile. Their followup throughout the process is focused on exceeding the customers expectations.

I don’t always get up tight, but when I do... I get Up-Tight carpet 😉

NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US is what they should change their name to.We purchased Mohawk carpet from uptight carpet & decorating several years ago and then again purchased carpet a couple years later for three other rooms. We tried to purchase cork flooring from them for our kitchen about 4 months ago but NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US. The first MOHAWK CARPET WAS DEFECTIVE and it took them 2-3 months coming seeing and supposedly contacting Mohawk, the bottom line, NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US. So we have to replace our defected carpet ourselves because there is no such thing as a Mohawk warranty apparently and Uptight doesnt care. The other three rooms were installed improperly at each doorway, they extended the new heavier padding too far past the seam of the other rooms making an unsightly bump. Twice people came and saw and agreed they didnt install the padding properly and that it needed to be corrected, but again NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US.We went to purchase the kitchen floor they had no samples of what we were looking for, but said no problem they will get us the samples, information, pricing everything we need. But again NO ONE EVER GOT BACK TO US..My bottom line is MOHAWK ARE LIARS and offer no such warranties of any kind. UPTIGHT CARPET ARE LIARS that never follow through and really dont care what you think about them or Mohawk. I strongly suggest to go to the big Home Depot or Lowes and all stores have different carpet rolls in stock at all stores. If you find a carpet you like ask if its a Mohawk brand, if it is, keep looking until you find one you like thats not Mohawk. And Im almost sure if the big stores install it wrong theyll come out and fix it within 30 days unlike Uptight that only makes you UPTIGHT.

I went in to Uptight Carpet and picked out carpet, they were suppose to order a sample and bring it with them when they came out for measurements. They never called to schedule the measurements, I called them several times to get it setup, I spoke to various people, left multiple messages. No one ever called me back. If this is their customer service before money is exchanged I can only imagine how much worse it will get.
