I wish I could give a negative star! We got a voyager filter and the filter has blown up twice on us. The ladder they sent us is the wrong one for our setup which we thoroughly explained. We ordered from online I HIGHLY ADVISE AGAINST THIS YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY! Looked up this specific pump on google and we aren’t the only ones with this issue!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with buying a pool, at the Avon store. Specifically, in regard to Seth, who sold us the pool back in January, and has consistently gone above and beyond in regard to customer service. We had a lot of questions, being new pool owners, and he always responded, never making us feel as though we were bothering him. He even came to our home, himself, to address an issue with the pool. He, and the other staff have been great, and we would highly recommend this store.

Dont waste your time. Spent a couple of hours walking around, picking out exactly the items I wanted, had nice big signs on each item listing prices etc, only to be told sorry, none of these are in stock, and we wont sell floor models, you will have to come back next year when in stock again. Yet they still leave the for sale signs on everything so the next person can waste their time as well. so easy to take the price sheets off, or put sold out sign but nope.

Great service from start to finish! We received our order when originally stated with no problems. This is the second large item we have purchased within the past year or so and have had great service each time!

Have not had any complaints while going here. From purchasing a pool to a hot tub, these guys have been extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the products they are selling. All in all, this is a very good place to go to meet all of your recreational needs.

I absolutely love this store! The customer service is fantastic, special shot outs to Jamie, Sean and Carol. From recovering my old slate pool table last year just before the lockdown to last summer purchasing for the first time patio furniture the Avon store is my go-to.This is mainly because of the fantastic peopleAnd then the fabulous collection of everything.Just got a call that my new patio umbrella has arrived Yippee 🤩

Everytime we make contact with this store, it has been fantastic! Every experience from the purchase of the pool, to visits to purchase supplies and the extras has been spot on. Called Jamie this evening because the handle to the pool steps had cracked. Within five minutes, she had sent me a picture of the replacement part!!! Will definitely never step foot in this store again. My wife and I went to look for a new hot tub on 8/8 and figured this was the place to go since it was recommended by close friends. We walked in and started looking around and found a few that we were interested in, but seemed a little deep for my wife since she is vertically challenged at 51.5. When we finally saw a salesman that we had to flag down to even talk to us, we explained our situation and that the jets on the tub that we looked we to high on here since the seats were so low. The salesman had the audacity to tell us to just by a cushion to sit on. His demeaning tone and demeanor towards my wife literally caught myself off guard. After we left I could tell my wife was furious at how she was treated and we just wanted to leave and never come back which we will do. I hope that someone from the store or the corporate office will see this review and make some changes to their sales staff. I dont know maybe that is how they treat all their customers since we were 2 of the 4 people in the store

We are repeat customers. We find your merchandise to be of higher quality then most other stores. Your prices can be reasonable if find at the right time. Other times your prices are outrageous. Your customer service is outstanding. We have purchased from both the Strongsville and Avon stores and both stores have been very accommodating.

Communication is great. I didn’t quite understand a couple things. Why did I have to take delivery of my pool 3 months before it’s to be installed. Secondly, why did I have to pay upfront 100% before the install? What guarantee do I have that install will be done completely and correctly? Normally I pay the balance upon completion of the job. I pray I’m worried about nothing.

Friendly, very quick to get a hot tub. Takes about 4-6 weeks at least thats what they told us. UPDATE- the day we ordered it, we set a date (6 weeks) that the hot tub would be delivered, and thats when it was delivered. The guys did a great job setting it up. Awesome experience.

Ive never had a pleasant shopping experience here. The staff follow you around the store like you are trying to steal a hot tub or walkout the front door with a pool table. Not very friendly or professional, not welcoming or a place I would recommend.

Twice into store. Both times not one staff even acknowledged my presence. And I was the only customer in the store both times. I had same experience at Macedonia store. Obviously GE corporate has no concern for customer care.

The manager today was absolutely amazing and helpful the sales staff wow not so much.

Been here a couple times and will not return. They never have what I am looking for. I needed a pH tester kit. They are a pool store and never have the right pool supplies! I ask for help the lady says they should be in the corner back there pointing to the back of the store instead of helping me.

This place has such nice items to purchase or plan a future purchase to make the house look beautiful. The staff there is always wonderful and I always get great advice and products with keeping my pool and hot tub clear blue.

Last week I wrote up a bad review because of the way I was treated by the manager in the mentor store… He promised me a quick exchange for a wrong pillow… He was going to bring it to my house on Friday… And I never heard from him. I needed to wait until Wednesday and I called… And was not treated very nicely. Long story short you guys commented you were sorry and to please give you another try. Well today I went out to your Avon store 45 minutes away from my house to give you another try. It’s amazing that you stay in business with your customer service. The merchandise you have is amazing. But if I can’t get educated on it I can’t buy it. And to just tell me that there’s fire tables all over the place and have a look around myself. I wanted specific questions answered. To be told I’m very busy and don’t have a lot of time… It’s not the way to treat a customer. I have spent quite a bit with you. I have chairs, couch, Table, chairs, storage box… Today I wanted to fire Table. We actually found what we wanted and have decided we will drive even further to get it. I wouldn’t spend any more money in your store if you paid me to spend it. You really should do some re-training… The pandemic has her everybody and if you want to stay in business you have to wait on a customer and give them the time of day. This review will be forever permanently up now. I will not be as kind to take it down as I was my first one. It’s my third experience and my last.

I first went to Litehouse by mistake. That will NEVER happen again!! Bought a new filter for my pool and the old fittings from the pump were too small. Litehouse wouldn’t even ATTEMPT to help me. Their “pool expert” was rude, said he had no idea how the Hayward plumbing was hooked up; even though I had the old fittings in hand! Jamie, Bobby and Jacob at the Great Escape were more than phenomenal. Everyone went out of their way to help and together, Jamie and Bobby got me the correct fittings and we can now enjoy the pool. They were super friendly, very eager to help and didn’t make you feel like you were wasting their time. Jacob helped us with gross pool water and this guy KNOWS HIS STUFF!!!!! I can’t say enough good things about the staff here! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Thanks guys!!

I bought a pool vacuum for well over $200 to try to clean my 24’ round pool. I tried using it several times and all the vacuum did was stir up all the dirt in the pool; the vacuum bag collected little to no dirt or debris at all. I can easily take a push broom to the bottom of my pool and it does a better job than the vacuum did. I called the store and asked if I can return the vacuum and the lady on the phone told me no because the vacuum was not malfunctioning. So I wasted over $200 for a piece of garbage they sold me that does not serve it’s purpose. I will not be returning to this store.

To all people fighting to get our freedoms back... My wife and I wanted to go to the great escape because we are looking to purchase a pool. Immediately apon entering the store we were greeted by extremely frantic employees asking us where our mask were. We explained that we are exempt do to medical conditions and we both have doctors excuses which we of course are not obligated to show, but we were informed that we would still not be allowed to enter do to the owners personal policy. This falls under the American disability act and we will be notifying them asap. I suggest anyone who isnt going off of the narrative these days to go to the lighthouse where they are following the actual guidelines from our state government and only making the employees, not the patrons wear mask.

I cant wear a mask due to lung problems, had 8 chest tubes, i was asked if i would wait outside and the worker there did my shopping for me, I know they had to go by the rules, but their kindness really made me feel good and respected for my disability, Thank You Great Escape.

They are competitivly priced but with excellent service and quality... way better than Lighthouse.

I always avoided going here because I thought it would be over priced but I had to go recently because everywhere else was sold out of what I needed. It turns out they have much better prices than most other places, even cheaper on somethings than amazon!

I feel customer service varied depending on individual. Greg was informative and knowledgeable. The other salesman we dealt w needed to be more informative and clear with specifics as what needed to be completed for installation. He was not specific on what all needed to be done to install the pool. A checklist of specifics of what needs to be done (electric work) needed be given at time of purchase. Not just a vague statement. I also believe install side of company needs to be more connected to sales side.Greg did contact me based on specific issues and handled it very professionally. I was happy with his willingness to make sure that all issues were resolved. I wish we would have been able to deal with Greg throughout the whole process .

Every time I have been here (the Avon location is the only great escape I’ve been to) I’ve had nothing but positive experiences. Everyone is very knowledgeable and nice to talk to. I have ordered a few things and everything has been very prompt!

Came in today ready to buy and spend thousands of dollars, waited 35 minutes to talk to somebody, FINALLY talked to somebody while the reginal manager made small talk with a customer how hes in the store for 2 months, and he (the guy helping us) was super rude. Never game a name, and pretty much us from buying a pool. He made it sound like we were taking up his time. Told us the 3 pools they ordered for stock and went to help another customer. Gave us no pricing options for either of the 3 pools too. My wife and I walked in fully expecting to have bought a new pool, instead walking out with absolutly no information, no price options and the absolute worst taste in our mouths. Taking our business elsewhere.

I was looking for a hot tub and they were out of most choices. The only ones they had were over 10 thousand dollars.

Staff is very helpful. Went there for advice on hot tub maintenance. Suggestions were informative and spot on. Items are a little pricey but very good quality.

Needed to pick up six ceramic tile to repair my patio chairs. The manager was helpful in locating the item quickly. Was very happy they had the tile in stock. Chairs repaired and now rocking properly.

On the advice of friends who purchased here, we drove an hour to see what they had. Their competition is only 20 minutes from my house, but our friends were adamant that we check out The Great Escape. We ended up buying a pool and are now waiting for delivery. Our buying experience was awesome!!! Their prices were cheaper then their competition. Also their accessories and pool toys are cheaper as well. I will write another review once we receive the pool and are up and running.

Horrible customer service. Wont deliver everything then accuse you of stealing it. Never again will I purchase anything from Greg at the Great Escape.In regards to Greg post above. He is a liar. Never once did we ever say we were satisfied with anything the great escape has done. Also anyone who supposedly got free installation, you didnt. You were charged and I have proof thanks to Matt Coughlin. Dont worry Greg you wont be ripping more people off.

I bought my pool from here and had it installed. They did a great job and always willing to answer questions and you can take your water from your pool there to have it tested free.

We came in looking to replace our 18ft pool with a 24ft pool the older gentleman that was helping us was rude we told him what we were looking for and he said in a snarky voice youll be waiting untill end of August we asked why and he explained at that point he seemed annoyed with us so I said well then how about a new pump and cover for our existing 18ft and again in a snarky voice said we have no pumps and filters in stock and it would be 2-3 weeks to get one and said we likely do not have a cover either asked if he could look and he said I guess I can look in the back just a very rude and unpleasant visit the first time we have ever been there we usually go to lighthouse

They were quick to cash my check, but when I actually needed customer service, they left me hanging. I was disappointed. It was between Great Escape Avon and Lighthouse Pools Elyria. I chose Great Escape and now I must replace the one year-old textured concrete walkway that their installers ruined. The worst part was that I wasnt even given the courtesy of a call back. I spoke to both Nicky and Amy who were very nice, but did nothing but pass the buck to back to the installers who simply ignored numerous phone calls. Manager (Matt), also failed to return my phone calls. It has now been 4 months and we are at the end of the season. I will eat the loss, but hopefully nobody else makes the mistake of patronizing this business. Terrible customer service and very disappointing. I guess I expected too much by expecting a call back. My mistake.*** In response to your acknowledgement... My wife gave them permission to use the gate to get to the backyard, not ruin the walkway. I assure you that if they would have advised her of their intentions and that it was likely to cause irreparable damage to the brand new concrete, she would have elected for them to use another means. I would have assumed that they would know enough not to drive a several thousand pound tracked vehicle over a 4 stamped concrete slab; further, I would have hoped that they had the decency to acknowledge the damage that they caused and apologized. Lastly, the damage was not the only issue. The fact that I left message after message (at least 5 times), and NEVER received a call back from anyone shows where the true customer service lies. As a matter of fact, it wasnt until I posted this review (several months after the install) that I received any kind of acknowledgement. I pondered not even calling because I hate to be that customer that finds something to complain about. After being ignored time and time again, it became more about the lack of respect / empathy than about the ruined concrete. Again, I guess this is what is to be expected from Great Escape. Thank you for your apology months later in response to the terrible review I left you, but in the future, I will take my business and save my recommendations for Litehouse Pools in Sheffield Village. They are great! To all reading this review, please do not make the same mistake that I did by giving business to G.E.

From the start of purchase the salesman Gregwas very rude and disrespectful still purchased pool picked up supplies after paying in full when installers arrived liner was missing we were accused of losing on highway,mind you it was wrapped! Was told it would be reordered and I had to pick up. I went to pick up and it wasnt there. Had to make second trip when it arrived salesman offered a raft for his rude behavior. Installers said they also had problems with him in the past pool was started then the liner delay it rained came back couple days later to finish install left yard a total mess! Pool in so bumpy on bottom. It is impossible to walk or clean I have pictures of everything they offer to fix by having me drain them pulling back liner retapping sand and me paying to refill and for all lost chemicals! This is a 18 by 33 above ground pool! So upset and disappointed this is not my first pool last one no problems and lasted 20 year! Was not purchased thru them! Beware of great escape in avon ohio!
