I’ve been a hair salon customer at Ulta Aventura for over 3+ years now. I mainly go because of my favorite hairstylist, Alena Rodriguez. She has taken my hair and turned it into beautiful highlights and then to a gorgeous one color with waves. Every step of the way Alena will consult with and give me the best tips and care for my hair type! Alena is incredibly talented, skilled and a master at her hair craft! She’s also a wonderful human being that I love sitting in her chair and chatting with!

For makeup lovers like me, you can just get crazy going to this place! So many stuffs and brands... I literally want to buy everything!

Went yesterday Sunday September 12th horrible customer service I asked for help the employee didnt even bother to help me look for shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. They all stand in the front and ignore customers. I didnt bother to buy anything!Improve the training these employees are lost dont even where are the products thats why they ignore the customers. I wish the manager was there to her/he.

I came to the Salon at Ulta today after a disaster of a hair experience two days prior at a different hair salon. I chose Alena Rodriguez as my stylist because I had heard amazing things about her. When I took my hair down from its bun… the sight was scary. Two days before, I had gone in for bayalage and had left with hair that had gray blue tips and an orange top. Alena completely saved the day though! She spent about six hours with me, truly taking her time to get me the blonde I wanted and still maintaining my hair’s integrity. I could not be more thrilled with the results. My hair has red undertones but you can’t see that at all after Alena’s handiwork! I’m golden blonde and truly thrilled with the results. I’ve found my new stylist— one who listens to what you want and makes it happen. Can’t wait to go back!

I had my first appointment at this location for a color correction with Alena, and I cant speak highly enough of her! She listened to what I wanted and took her time, prioritizing the health of my hair. The before and after picture truly speaks for itself. I left the salon with my expectations exceeded. Additionally, Alena is a pleasure to talk to and interact with. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for excellent service and results!

It took me 4 years to find my own stylist . Alina is my favorite best one . She always acts professional by giving a hair cut and hair color , that fit me the most or helpful advices or just carry on a friendly conversation. Definitely recommended!!!

I’ve been to this location’s salon twice now for hair coloring. Alena has been my stylist for both visits and all I can say is she is magic! I will continue to personally request her for each visit back to this salon. She is exceptional at developing the perfect platinum color for my hair and I couldn’t be happier. Terrible service! What’s even sadder is that this is my local Ulta and I’ve been shopping here for a while, and everything is fine until you ask some of the people working there for assistance! They are rude, not knowledgable about the products that Ulta carries and I think it’s embarrassing for a company like Ulta when the customer knows more than the people who work there. They have no idea when a certain product is launching in all Ulta Beauty’s all over the US, we’re talking about a huge campaign. I went there on Monday, after it launched, the lady assisting me told me the products are still in boxes in the back and she’ll get me what I need, she did and I purchased those itmes.The products were supposed to be out on Sunday, I made a “blind” purchase of the things I wanted, I’m saying blind since they were supposed to have a whole branded stand in the store with testers and everything, and I couldn’t test the products before I bought them. I went back 3-4 days later, they still have products in boxes in the back and claiming that the products are not out for sale yet. The lady was very rude telling me that:” there are a lot of boxes in the back and she’s not unloading the truck so she does not know which box they are in and that if they are not out yet ( because they’ve been lazy to put it out of the box and into the store), that means I can not buy them yet ( wrong because I did bought them a few days earlier, now I just needed a different shade of the same product.) I work in sales and this is not how you treat a customer. Ulta, hire people who will actually be glad that they are working here, not seem like somebody is forcing them to do so.

Has everything you need and good prices. Lovely workers. Only thing is the register was wonky. Overall great place.

This review is for the stylist Kim. I urgently needed to get my roots done. Kim was extremely professional, fast (but focused) kind and shared all her product knowledge. She also gives the best scalp massage! I joked with her that I had to drive after leaving and felt sedated from how relaxing her hands were. My color turned out beautiful. Can’t recommend her enough if you’re in the area. I know it can be hard and scary to trust someone new. Thanks Kim!

Went there to pick up some new eyebrow tweezers for the wife and was immediately greeted by a store clerk who then asked me if I needed assistance. After telling her what I was looking for she took me directly to the section I was looking for. She also told me which brand was the best for my wifes needs. I made my choice and headed for the check out line. All the staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable about the store products and the store was immaculate. Thanks ladies!!

I came in to Benefit inside of Ulta to do my eyebrows. I have always done my eyebrows with a blade shaper since my previous wax experiences were not the best (skin irritation, painful etc.) However, I decided to give it another try. My appointment was at 4:30 with Marcia aka Marcy. I got there early so I waited a few moments and Marcy greeted me very pleasantly. She began the process by measuring my eyebrows and carefully assesing them to ensure a good shape. She gently waxed and finished off with tweezing the last stubborn little hairs. Although it was a little uncomfortable for a milisecond the experience wasnt as painful as I remembered since she had souch a gentle hand :) All of her equipment was very clean and sanitized. When she gave me a mirror to look I was in shock at how amazing they came out ! She exceeded my expectations. She is very sweet and informative and was even nice enough to help me put on a strip of lashes I purchased. I highly recommend you go see Marcy so you can see how amazing she leaves your eyebrows !

May in the salon is amazing!! I am so happy with my look and she was very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

I can’t explain in words how shopping at Ulta makes me feel...whenever I walk in I’m ALWAYS greeted with a smile and a “Hey there, let me know if I can help you with anything at all”. It’s very helpful. My Christmas presents for my daughter and mother were purchased here. I’m so glad I have this Ulta so close to my home. It’s truly amazing. My experience here was very disappointing. No one was blatantly rude, however, I can say that my friends and I were uncomfortable the entire time. We were constantly asked if we needed assistance, which at first felt like great customer service. But then we noticed that all eyes were on us wherever we went. I thought, “maybe we‘re the only ones in the store and the workers are just keeping themselves busy“, but other patrons weren’t getting as much “attention.“ I am not one to pull the race card, however, I couldn’t help but feel profiled. It seemed as though we were “more likely to steal” and, therefore “needed to be watched.” I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I have shopped at several Ulta’s and never have I felt this uncomfortable.

Mario really did an amazing job with my hair. I am a person with very tight and kinky curls therefore managing it can be a task. I am here on business for 4 months and live in Atlanta. I wanted to get my wife some perfume and ship it straight to the house for Valentines day. Cayla was very helpful and helped me with the perfume I wanted, then rang up the transaction and took my cash and converted it to use as a giftcard so my wife wouldnt see it on any of our bank or credit card statements. She was very helpful and based on this experience I will be back b4 I leave in april to do this again for my anniversary which I will also be missing.

I had my makeup done by one of the makeup artist. I really appreciate how she did my makeup. I told her I wanted something very natural for my age. I got what I asked for. I also bought all the products she used on my face. ( My husband has no idea how much I spend. 😂. Lets keep it like that.. lol 😂)

Alena Rodriguez has been cutting and styling my hair for 5 years. She still gives my hair as much attention and care as she did at my first appointment. My haircut keeps its shape in between appointments, which is a sign of a great hairdresser.

Have been going to Alena for years for my hair. She always does a great job. I get tons of compliments on my hair color. She is also very sweet and tries her best to please clients.

I have curly/wavy hair with easily breakable ends that split within weeks time of every haircut I’ve ever gotten! I came into Ulta and Stylist Mario HOOKED ME UP! Not only did he give me a great cut to freshen up my damaged ends and a glaze to hide my greys, but he suggested an intensive treatment (which I also did) and products to go home with to keep my hair/curls/and ends healthy! Happy to say that I walked out of my appointment with rejuvenated hair and my ends held out until my next appointment with minimal breakage thanks to his product and brush recommendations! He is knowledgeable not just about the instant fix but also long term hair care. Would recommend him to anyone!

I dont really buy makeup nor do I Come for the salon. I mostly come here because they have a wide range of fragrance. But a few times Ive been here the fragrance that Ive been wanting to smell before buying is always out. They should be removed from display if they are empty.

Ulta Beauty at Aventura is my go to hair salon!! Ray is the stylist you want for sure. Hes my one and only stylist and has a customer for life with me. He is so wonderful personally and professionally. Definitely has experience under his belt to do a phenomenal job. My usual is a wash and trim/cut and each time he does a little something extra at the end just to give some style to my hair. Honestly, ever stylist there is very good though. Stephanie, Angela, Kim...they are all great at what they do and would hate to see each one of them go from that establishment.

My hairstylist for the last three years is Alena at Ulta in Aventura. Caring and talented hairstylist professional. I first came to her after a very bad highlight. My hair was over dried from it and Alena was able to save my hair! She recommended me the best way to take care of my hair and best way to style it. Thanks to her I have a healthy looking hair!

This is really great Ulta when it comes to selection. Customer service is also great most of the time. I have had various associates go above and beyond for me and others that were blah. Its expected in retail I guess.

Took my sister to Ulta Aventura for our first time to get her Back-To-School hair cut. Stylist: JessicaShe was satisfied with her cut and style. And some staff were friendly. Some others need to learn better customer service. If it werent for that, Id give it the 5 Stars.

Stacy is my “go to” for anything hair! My base color and blonde highlights are always on point which has been difficult for a lot of colorists to do. She keeps my hair in amazing condition considering all of the processing and always knows which treatments to use when my hair is struggling. Highly recommend her!

I stopped by Ulta to get my Keratin treatment done while passing through Aventura, and I was more than just satisfied with Tawannas work. She did an amazing job but additionally was patient and friendly with me and took the time to make sure shes providing the best service possible. I would love to return to this Ulta!

A little pricey

I first went to Alena, master stylist, after having received a really bad haircut and color at another salon. She was able to correct it and I’ve been going to her ever since...for the last 3 years. Alena really listens to what I want which is unlike most stylists who only do what they want to do.

Our co-founder has been wearing the same set of Mere Natur hair extensions for over a year. Periodically our hair extensions have to be taken out and reinstalled. We were in Miami for Superbowl weekend and our co-founders hair extensions were extremely loose. We stopped by ULTA Beauty to purchase products to help conceal the issue, but ended up making an appointment at their in store salon with Tawana. Tawana made magic happen. ULTA doesnt currently offer wefted hair, however, she set to work uninstalling and reinstalling our wefted hair extensions for our co-founder in record time. Her work was perfect. We highly recommend stopping by ULTA Beauty. Their employees were extremely helpful, and their inventory of professional grade products was virtually limitless. Of course we would love to see our wefted hair in ULTA stores, however besides that, they are perfect. Thank you for everything.

I have been growing my hair out for years, but havent really taken good care of it...so I decided to treat myself and go to the Ulta salon while vacationing. I did call and make an appointment. As soon as I was there, the stylist took me early. I explained my hair experience, that it was long-overdue for a cut and in need of some serious TLC. Mario - the stylist - listened patiently to all my questions and concerns and gave me an amazing hair cut - it feels so much lighter and healthy then before. We decided go for some deep conditioning too, and my hair feels like silk. I took some stuff home from Marios recommendation. He was very honest with his product recommendations and basically said that if HE didnt trust it, he wouldnt recommend it to me (Lol). Im so happy I made the jump and treated myself!

Ray Lantigua is the best stylist u could to.. I am super picky about my hair is done I like it to be a certain length a certain color and blown out a certain way and he is so accommodating to all of my needs without complaint he is the premier stylist of Ulta!!!!!!!He has such knowledge on coloring all new techniques and super efficient Love love love him!!!!!where ever he goes I’ll follow!!!!!

Called about a hair service, and the woman on the phone told me to come by. I drive half an hour to the store, and when I get to the salon they say they never told me to come. With the WORST attitude Ive ever been subject to as a customer. You work at Ulta, relax. As for the store, the staff is helpful, but the salon employees either need an attitude change, or need to go. Like many others, Im taking my business elsewhere.

I dont like this store location . I have been there twice and have had a bad experience both times. I had to write corporate about their treatment. Customer service sucks. I prefer the one in Pembroke Pines. Its sad, because the Aventura one is right down the street from me. But the staff at the Pembroke Pines location are much friendlier.

Its usually not crowed,so you have the store and the makeup artists for yourself! There are a lot of product testers,everybody its super nice and helpfull,you can have a loyalty card,i loveeee shopping there.The only problem i got so far was that the other day we didnt get a revolution free palette(you got it if you bought more than 15$)because they ran out of them,and got nothing instead :(

I absolutely loathe coming to shop at this location. Every time I come in, it takes anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes for a beauty advisor to acknowledge my presence and ask if I need anything. The testers are always extremely dirty and shelves are unkept. There has not been one time where there is more than one person at the register, and I need to wait at least 10 minutes to get rung up. Most of the time, it is not due to a short staff, but rather beauty advisors chitchatting with each other. The level of service is Horrendous

Rude employees, not helpful and inexperienced. Even though the store is always empty, the lines are always so long due to the slow service. I literally come here for one hair product every few months (it is around the corner from my house) but I dread the visit every time. It should be a positive and exciting experience but its not. Id rather spend all my money at Sephora.

This place is a joke and so is the staff! I called a day before to set a hair appointment for my husband they gave me the time 1 oclock so he shows up and they go and say that it is for 2 instead, with no phone call and with attitude rolled their eyes and didnt care to say sorry for the mistake. I mean its not NASA its Ulta, the least you can provide is customer service. Screw this place and the staff. Oh yeah and figure out your own gender.

Don’t recommend the benefit brow bar! Rude staff, I had an appointment at a certain time made me wait 20minutes and didn’t apologize when I had to leave as I couldn’t keep waiting.

Book with Stacey she is the best!As a person with curly hair I have always struggled to find a stylist that can shape my hair the way that I like. I went in for a haircut and she explained that a relaxer could smooth out my curl, making is possible for me to wear a classic Gentlemans Haircut which is very rare for me given my hair texture.I asked her to relax it and now my hair styles easily and looks the way I have always wanted it to. She also suggested and applied the 5 minute Color Camo to help blend my greys into my own natural haircolor. The blend was stunning. The best part of the experience is that the laughs never stopped. I highly recommend Stacey because she is the best!

Racist store. My boyfriend (who is black) took me shopping here and when we got to the register to pay for our $300 basket a nasty store clerk loudly and aggressively accused him of removing items from packages (items that we were already buying -_-) and insinuated that he was stealing......when he literally had his credit card out about to pay for hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. He also tells me that whenever I left his side for a few seconds, she watched him like a hawk. He was completely humiliated and this ruined our night. I love Ulta but will not support a business that condones racial profiling. From now on I will go to Sephora and recommend others to do the same

Had a terrible experience here. First off no one said anything to me when I walked in, but I noticed them greet other customers. I work for an award winning company for their customer service. Every customer deserves the same treatment. So theres no reason I should not have been greeted. Then the general Manager, Dawn or Andrea is her name, was at the register and ignored me even with all my stuff on the counter. She proceeded to count money and talk to one of her team members. No just a moment just nothing like I wasnt even there. When she finally got around to helping me there was no customer service, it was a transaction that I was inconveniencing her with. Mind you this the General Manager! You know the one who sets the example? Anyways I asked about samples and she gave me this condescending look and said thats only with a qualified purchase. I get all kind of samples from sephora for the same amount of money I was spending. I will NEVER shop with Ulta again. Maybe they should take notes from Sephora, create a better experience and give people samples, its that added little treat that makes shopping with you rewarding and enhances the beauty experience. Ill gladly give my money for luxury beauty products to Sephora. Ulta: Girl Bye!!!

I will never spend money at Ulta again. I asked to be matched to a foundation shade for darker skin. After being passed to 3 sales people having 5 different shades of makeup put on me that i could look at and see would not match my skin tone they basically told me that foundation does not come in my shade in the whole store. I was so embarrassed.
