I tried for weeks to get service set up, and I was repeatedly told they could help me and would provide the service I was requesting. I called many times over the span of a few weeks, and they kept saying they would get me a quote by the end of the day, by tomorrow, by this afternoon, and they never quoted me and then eventually stopped picking up my calls. If they had just said that they wouldnt be able to help me, I would have been content, but they led me to believe I could rely on them.

The worst propane provider you could possibly imagine. I just closed my restaurant at 5PM on a Saturday night because they forgot my scheduled delivery. They apologized for being under staffed and that was it. My account was paid in full, and I had no warning no nothing. I had an order for a High School Band that was delayed due to their horrible customer service. If your choice is Ferrell gas or to start a fire in your backyard, well cut down a tree for heat. I wish I could give them a negative 10 stars and I will be writing a review everyday until they pay for my last delivery.

We were Sharp Propane customers since 1995. They gave great service. All this changed with Ferrell bought the company. Promised delivery dates were not met and after running out of propane once and having the delivery delayed even though we were under 3%, we changed to another company. In mid March, we informed Ferrell Gas that we were switching to another provider and that they needed to pick up their leased tank. Two months later the tank still resides in our front yard. Multiple calls to customer service did nothing. We were told, Yes we can see that we missed our promise. But nothing happened. When I told a customer service rep that I needed to talk to a supervisor, I was told that I would hear back in 30 minutes. It has now been over 3 hours and I have not received a call. All of my calls since then are not even returned by customer service reps. I think that they are blocking my number.Do not use this company. They lie.

We have had auto refill with first Sharp Propane and now Ferrell Gas for about 10 years. During that time we have run of gas twice which is not supposed to happen with auto fill. We crossed below 10% over three weeks ago. We started calling for gas at that time. We were guaranteed that we would have a fill by March 11 if not sooner. That was two days ago. We have called daily for the last week. Each day they tell us it is out for delivery. Yesterday they even gave us a name of who they said was the driver. Still no gas and now no hot water and no heating. I cannot do not know if they are extremely incompetent or trained to lie. I am now looking for an honest competent supplier. Any ideas? As you can tell I am extremely upset. I wish I could give a negative rating.

This company is the reason a zero star rating is needed. They purchased Sharp Propane and neglected Sharps clients. Then, an order is placed for refilling, and they dont show up, blaming on last weeks weather the neglect of six months. Do yourself a favor and swap those tanks to a company that is truly professional, and does not insult the intelligence of its clients. My 1 start is deceitful because they worked really hard to earn a ZERO.

Ferrellgas is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I called for a delivery and still 2 weeks later they haven’t showed up, nor called. I’ve called in 7-8 times asking for a status and on every occasion the rep said they’d check with dispatch and call me back, and of course they’ve never called. Several reps said they’d up my priority because of our tank level and how long it’s been, but that’s simply not true. I even paid a $150 same-day delivery fee and, well, that didn’t help (they did refund that). Anyway, i switched to P&R, a great local company, and they gave me an actual date on when they’d come (Ferrellgas gave a 2-week window, and still missed that window), very refreshing. I can’t ditch Ferrellgas quickly enough, and highly recommend others that have issues to consider P&R, and support small business at the same time.

Valentines week 2021 temperatures into the single digits. ferrell has been our carrier for over 30 years. NO MORE.... said Propane would be delivered sometime in the next two weeks! When you’re out of propane that’s not acceptable. Another carrier came through for me the day I called them! We were grateful! And at a better price!

**week 5 still no delivery. Thanks FerrellgasNot really sure why this company chooses to be so terrible. What is the point of even operating? Just close down and put everyone out of their misery!Week 4 of no delivery, and no answer for why.Pretty far past the 7-10 business day estimate I received when paying. Complete lack of customer service, employees over the phone never have an answer, they always say they will call back but don’t.

Ferrellgas bought out Sharp, which we had and were very happy with. Well, after a few months, I am ready to find another company. We are supposed to be on auto-fill. Well, we were getting low and I put in a request a week ago. We ran out completely so I called and they said that they might not be able to fill it for another week. After some back and forth, they told me that it would be delivered today, which is Friday. I called about 4 and they said someone was en route-its now 7 and no gas. They are closed and will be for the weekend. I have two kids and everything in our house runs off of propane. I already havent been able to shower in two days because I was letting the kids and my husband use the hot water we had left. I am beyond irritated and will be finding another company. This is not the first time we have been on zero gas with Ferrellgas, the first time was miscommunication. This time was not. I guess I will be giving local restaurants my money this whole weekend since I can not cook. Even our grill is propane. Thanks for top notch service, guys. (By the way, the delivery guys are great. But, the company is not.)

Propane prices and fees are not a bargain, but I used them because I thought they were reliable. They are not. They failed to fill our tank before the deep freeze so we went into it with very little fuel. Now we are at 0%. You wont answer the phone or update us on delivery. At the very least, just answer the phone.

If you used Sharp for years like I did and now have Ferrellgas terrible service, then go shopping for another provider. They are slower on delivery, make it impossible to call someone, and dont even staff up their web chat service sufficiently to get a live person. I waited 5 minutes, and lost interest. Meanwhile, it has been a week since I requested delivery, and I am still waiting. To make matters worse, I found other national competitors quoting per gallon rates at 50% of Ferrellgas quote. When I asked a regional manager to offer a lower rate (somewhere in the middle even!) they declined. I waited until the winter season is over, but intend to switch very soon and recommend you do as well.

This is a horrible company. First it took them 3 weeks to come and refill my tank. It took them more than 4 weeks to send a technician to check out if there was an issue, in fact, they didnt sent anyone. When I finally got fed up and asked them to pick up their tank, it took them another 3 weeks to do that. I was without propane for more that 2 months in the midst of winter.

A spectacular failure on multiple levels. During the 2021 winter weather crisis in Texas they repeatedly told me they would deliver and did not do it, both before and after the roads were iced over. I have spoken to someone every day they have been open for the last 12 days with no help. They left my family cold with no explanation or indeed even a cogent response.

Just purchased a new home, we submitted request for them to keep the gas on here but just change in our names. Long story short our request was “lost” and never received. I called that day and asked why wasn’t my request granted (keep in mind this was 2 weeks before we moved in from previous owner) and the lady over the phone told me the soonest they could hook up is a week from today. Last night temps were below freezing outside! And we can even cook in our new house! But that’s not what gets me mad, it’s the lady over the phone, doesn’t care not one but, and acts like it’s not her problem. It’s sad. Worst customer service ever!

Set up to get service and was told they would come the next day. Called them back they tell me something different and that now it’s going to take 24-48 hours for someone to come and that someone would call me today in an hour and I even asked are you really going to call back just to get it on the recorded line. Nope didn’t happen and now they are closed. Smh this is ridiculous. Guess we will be taking cold showers again. A call back would’ve been nice. Hate this place already.

I should have posted this a long time ago, but it slipped my mind. Now, that Im ready to get quotes again, I came across their name, and I decided to post it before I forget it again. My parents used Ferrellgas service for over 20+ years, and rented a tank from them. The rental fee was minimal, so my parents did care. Although, if they had purchased one from the beginning, they would have save in the long run, and had a tank that was paid for.I purchased my parents home and started to get a quote from Ferrellgas and others, and found that they were a bit higher than everyone else, so I called them to cancel our service, and what they told me blew my mind. They said that I could not cancel their service and that I have to lease the tank from them, because the service was with my parents and that Im not authorized to make any decisions on the tank, so I had my father call them to cancel, which he did that day.I called Ferrellgas back and asked if they would consider selling it; however, I was told that they could only lease/rent it and could not sell it, but when I decided to switch suppliers, then they said that they would sell it to me. I asked for the price, and keep in mind that its used, and over 20+ years old. Get this.....The price they had offered was about $400 more than a new one, which I was quoted from another place, so I declined their offer and told them to come pick it up. They threaten me to cut my service that day and remove their tank, and asked how I will keep my house cooled or heated. I told them that its not their concern. I immediately called the other company to have my new tank installed. I called Fellerllgas later that week and a several times thereafter to come pick up their tank, and they keep billing my parents in the meantime.Well, its been about 8 years since Ive lived in this house. GET THIS.....the tank is still sitting in my back yard. I dont know if my parents are still getting billed for it, but when I asked my dad, he said screw Ferrell gas. If they want to ruin a persons credit over this, let them. My parents are old and have no intention of financing anything anymore, so their credit score doesnt matter. That said, its very sad and disappointing that there are people and businesses like this. If you have read this and still choose to stay with them, thats your call, but there are so many other propane suppliers to choose from.

First of all, beware of local guide reviews. they are only here to boost ratings by contributing content. if you read the real customer reviews, you will get a better sense of what a sub-par company this is.Ferrell is REALLY great about auto delivery (so they can rack up that balance); but historically, they have provided horrible customer service. we were forced to use them for 7 years (we used to rent), and have not taken the time to find another alternative. that will change very soon.currently, we are making 100.00 monthly payments, on time, never ever missed a month, and they are bullying us with threats of collection on a 339.86 propane bill.ridiculously greedy company. go somewhere else. anywhere else.

I called thursday 3/7 to set up service and was told that I would get a call back about a deposit same day. I never received a call back. I called friday and was told I needed to pay 100 deposit and a 65 application fee. I paid this all with my credit card same day. After the lady takes payment she decides to say it can take up to 5 days for service. Last rep said 2-3 days. I have children here hungry and cold. This experience was the worst. I called Monday morning (TODAY) and had a rep tell me I would have to just wait until the scheduler came back and she wouldnt be in until WEDS. After speaking to rep and being placed on hold for 10 minutes she hangs up on me. I call back and finally after being a rude jerk to the reps there I get a supervisor who apologizes and says they can schedule for tomorrow. Sad to say I had to be a jerk just to get them to do their job.
