My first visit to STARS was STELLAR! I was immediately greeted with a friendly staff and paperwork was easy and quick ! My wait was less than 2 minutes in their clean and comfortable waiting room and Ludi took me back and did my preliminary exam. She was so nice, and super efficient. They have top notch equipment, which is way better than where I went before !Dr. Sjodahl is super thorough and really nice. He explained everything, and answered all my questions. He also took his time, which is a huge plus. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for an eye dr to look no further ! Wish I could giveMore than 5-Stars to Stars in Your Eyes ❤️

Horrible experience at this location after being a long-time customer who recommended this place to lots of family and friends. I got no help from optician when I came in weeks ago to select frames. Picking up my glasses was a laughable experience. Adjustments as I sit in my car? First, I was handed unadjusted glasses and told they should fit with temples pointing in random directions. She never once bothered to check that they were level (which they werent when I got home) or otherwise sitting where they should be. Right away I could tell something was wrong. Ive worn progressives for 10 years; meanwhile I couldnt focus except by lifting the frames a quarter inch above my nose, which means the frame and lens are off. But optician kept insisting a need to wear them for a week and her adjustment was to mangle the hinges so that the lenses are no longer parallel to my face. Professional incompetence. I made an appointment to take them downtown to Michael who is a 10- year veteran.

I had a great experience from being greeted by reception, intake and tests, meeting with Dr. Sjodahl, and finishing up with Kina to find frames.I highly recommend Stars in Your Eyes.

Good place for eye exam - but avoid the optical shop. Ive been customer for over a decade, but no more. Lack of honesty, transparency and sloppy bookkeeping - why put up with it when there are so many other options locally & online?At my recent visit, they said I had failed to pay outstanding bill from last year - first I had heard about it. Turns out that that in truth, they neglected to file my insurance claim. They implied that it was somehow my fault even though they have all my insurance info on file -- and their protocol is ALWAYS to verify insurance before offering services/complete purchase!Despite it being their mistake, they held me financially liable - but graciously offered to split the cost... THEN OVERCHARGED me, misrepresenting the actual cost of the frame/lenses I bought. ... I wont be going back.

My first time at Stars In Your Eyes, and had a great experience! Best and most complete exam I’ve ever had !! The staff from the minute I walked in the door were so friendly and helpful! The doctor took time to answer any questions I had and made sure to address any concerns that I had!! Recommend them highly!!!!

I have been visiting this location for a decade, even after moving from central Austin to Liberty Hill, it is worth the drive into town.Unfortunately, Dr. Colorado, who was my optometrist was no longer their on my last visit this month. But Dr. Kevin Sjodahl was both personable and professional.They have my eye records, so it was great to find someone who was both intelligent and competent, as well as being a nice relatable person.My husband and daughter have gone to an optometrist in Cedar Park, and there was no comparison in terms of their expertise and the sophistication of their equipment. In fact, after I took my daughter there, I should have probably dragged her out the door. But it was COVID time, and we had waited for a long time for her appointment. The staff was friendly enough, but the equipment that they had available was rudimentary. They actually dilated her eyes, which was uncomfortable and then she had to wear “those glasses”.The prescription that they gave us was inaccurate. Therefore, I wound up taking her to Stars in Your Eyes, even though it was an out of pocket expense as our insurance allows for one eye exam annually.What a difference. The optometrists at Stars in Your Eyes are experienced and highly qualified. They identified my daughter’s astigmatism and were able to prescribe the correct prescription for her long term vision.The only complaint that I have is that there is has always been of a pressure from the staff, from the front desk, to the optometrists, to the sales personnel to purchase glasses and order contacts through them, and their pricing is quite high.However, Dr. Sjoldahl was not at all pushy, when I told him that I would be ordering our prescriptions. He honestly cares about his patients and was on our side 100%.This is the best optometrist that I have ever been to.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The new doctor did a great job on my exam, and the opticians were very helpful in picking out frames and lenses. Looking forward to my next visit!

This was my first appointment and only second ever eye exam. It felt very safe, clean and Dr. Colorado was a pleasure who made me feel like I’ve been visiting here for ages.

Went in for scratchy pain, they said they couldnt see anything wrong but to go ahead and take an eye steroid. why would I introduce a steroid simply because youre guessing? IMO, bad advice risking side affects and ineffective treatment for a generic prognosis. Went to ophthalmologist who identified my issue in 1 min. Iv also clicked to unsubscribe from their email list over 3x. If you would stop spamming me, I wouldnt take the time to leave an honest review. This place is fine to pick out overpriced frames but Id look elsewhere for eye exams, they have no clue what theyre doing and this was my first experience needing eye care. I would have rather paid for them to refer me out if they dont know how to evaluate eye health. My fault for not knowing any better, but like I said, 0 stars for spamming me nonstop.

I love the entire staff here! Everyone is so helpful and kind. I had an eye exam towards the end of December, and afterwards I spent an insane amount of time trying on glasses. They have a great selection and I eventually picked out a pair. I wanted to wait to ask my husband what he thought, so I paid cash for my contacts, and planned to use my insurance to pay for the glasses later. I didnt get around to thinking about my glasses until after the holidays, and I found a crazy deal for glasses at another store. Stars in Your Eyes was not only super friendly about providing me with my prescription for the glasses, but they also helped me out with my insurance company. They refunded me the amount for my contacts, and resubmitted the paperwork to my insurance for me. I know dealing with insurance is a pain, but they were so helpful and friendly the entire time! I truly appreciate the customer service here - I will be back for sure :)

I like Dr Colorado and Ive never had to wait for my appointment. I like the option of getting the optomap instead of dilation. It is extra, but its worth it in my opinion. I also really like their contact lens fittings. I usually get really great fitting contacts and when I didnt like the weighted lens for my astigmatism, I was able to switch it out and try a different lens really easily. Plus its a very peaceful office so I always feel relaxed being there. Highly recommended!

Both my husband and I have seen the optometrist for annual check ups. We felt they were thorough and interested in our complete care. They offer some great design choices in their frame selection however anytime you get around great modern design it can get pricey. Though it was no more pricey than our Chicago optometrist. My husband opted for a beautiful pair from Amsterdam, reminiscent of his time living abroad.

The staff has high energy, Dr. Colorado has an obvious expertise in her knowledge and a fantastic hospitality touch to her work, and the processes they use to track/note your visits seems to be quite comprehensive. As someone who is all too familiar with squinting at street signs I highly recommend Stars in Your Eyes for your optometric needs. Bonus points for a pleasant follow up via voicemail.

Dr. Colorado always makes my annual exam a pleasant experience while addressing all my concerns. This year, I was also impressed by how well I was treated by each staff member in booking my appointment, listening to my questions about insurance, administering screening procedures and providing TLC in general.

Definitely recommend! Great service, informative, and quick. Got contacts same day as well, and had everything handled in the highest professional manner.

Best optometrist in the area, Ive seen a few over the years, and was tired of the cattle mentality the others had. At Stars they really seem to care, and are all really personable, professional people. Its pretty low volume, and feels more like a spa than a eye doctors office.-3 year customer
