It is never fun to have to take something in and be at the mercy of a tradesman but this place took care of me better than any other. I Took my laptop in to have it cleaned and deal with some cooling issues. The gentleman who helped was extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable. I was given quote and an estimated time of completion. My expectations were blown out of the water. It was finished sooner than expected now runs like a dream. To top off the great service I was called 10 minutes before they closed that my laptop was ready and without having to ask I was told they would stay open for me to pick it up. While I hope I do not find myself in need computer repair anytime soon, if I do I will go to The Computer Repair Connection of Austin.

I took a computer tower to them diangnose. When I went to pick it up after the diagnosis, they hardly answered any of my questions about what was wrong and made me feel very uncomfortable for even asking. When I got home and opened up the tower (the power supply was bad, so I was going to replace it), theyd left everything unplugged inside and basically screwed me over. Definitely worth finding a different vendor that values your business and cares about returning your equipment in at least the same or better (not worse) condition than when you brought it in.

I recently had a great experience with Computer Repair Connection. My Dell laptop wouldnt start and after trying all the at home troubleshooting I took it in here for repairs. They ordered a new motherboard and replaced it within 3 business days, this is during all the COVID-19 craziness. I was so worried to trust a new business with something as important as my computer during this crazy time. They put my mind at ease and had a fast turnaround, professional communication (though funny enough they dont use email, just call) and friendly. Would recommend!

I dropped it off at 4pm, got a Quote at 11am the next day, had it back by 1:30pm... love this little shop. Android and Apple. Best Buy never answers phone and online chat was busy, so glad I gave up and found Juan. Mom and pop shops still the best in Austin, like this one!!! Recomend for sure. I am thrilled!!! Advice: youd want to call them every other day as a reminder. They could have ordered a hardware but forget about it as its waiting there to be installed on your computer. I got my computer repaired here and all I can say is they are great! I used the speedy check in not really knowing what to expect, but once I arrived I simply told them I had completed the speedy check in, they asked my name, verified my phone number and issues and just like that I was done. Took one minute! They called me about 3 hours later with my quote. I approved as the price was great,(hard drive replaced and data transferred for less than $200) and it was ready for me an hour later. Thats just great. They really do create a great computer repair experience. Im a Apple guy and this place took care of my Macbook just as well but faster than when I had to take it in for Apple care which has since then expired. I had a feeling I would get grade A service here. So, I dropped my laptop off at around 1-2pm on a SATURDAY and the technician replaced my hard drive AND installed a nice, fast version of windows 10 without all of the bloatware that came with my original Toshiba by 4pm!! The labor cost was extremely reasonable and the part I needed was priced reasonably as well. Not once did I feel anxious about leaving my $1000 laptop in Juans hands. He will have my business for as long as I am in Austin.

Juan was great. I called and got no answer at first but did not leave a message. He called me back! My laptops hard drive crashed and I needed to see if I could pull my data from it. Unfortunately I could not. All of my files were corrupted. He replaced my hard drive and cleaned my laptops fan out. I dropped my computer off at 3:30pm on Monday and was able to pick it up first thing in the morning. He was willing to stay open after 6:00pm for me to pick it up same day but I did not want to drive back downtown. I would recommend him if you are needing something done quickly! He politely gave me references to a couple other places that could possibly get my data back using methods (but for a hefty fee of more than $800). Data recovery aint cheap! But his prices were very reasonable. I paid less than $200 for the whole thing.

I had issues with my motherboard and went here to get a repair. It was the most simple and painless experience I could have imagined. It took half the time he quoted and he doesnt charge too much for his service. I will come back EVERY time I have computer issues.

My HP Omen laptop began to break at the grill. Eventually the hinge began to come loose. At the beginning of the year I turned it in to Geeksquad. They claimed to have had the parts necessary and that it would be three weeks before the parts would get in. I had to send my computer off to a different state to get it repaired. After a month went by I had to call them to figure out what was going on. Turns out they had lied to me and didnt have the parts. They sent it back but again gave me no notification that it had arrived. I had to go find out myself. In total, I was out a laptop a full 5 weeks, though I did manage to convince them to refund me. This past Monday I took it to The Computer Repair Connection. Juan was super friendly and professional and knew exactly the problem and where to get the parts. He could even repair it on site. I got it back today in great condition, 4 days later. This buisness is awesome and I couldnt be happier!

Ive had problem computers in the past that ultimately drove me to problem computer technicians. CRC was a complete 180 from what Im used to in Austin computer repair. Walked right in, told him my problem, he assessed it, walked out, he called me about two hours later after further review, i picked it up at my leisure. No talking down to me because I dont know tech, no unnecessary watching him endlessly click on who knows what behind the counter, and no waiting days on end to figure out what was going on, no multiple people working on my case having to check with one another re: what one did in a previous session. Mature, sensible, no time wasting. Awesome experience.

It was a good experience up until I got my laptop back after Juan replaced the Keyboard.I had to use the headphone jack to review a film for a class and it didn’t work, I checked and updated the drivers, googled all the trouble shooting went through thoroughly of HP forums related to the problem. So I called Juan and immediately he is argumentative, then he accused me of an assumption that I was saying he spilled liquid intentionally on my mother board. He said the headphone jack could be damaged by the motherboard chip. He said the speakers that were on my computer were brand new with the keyboard but one of them on the left side was cutting out, then he said it could be your motherboard.My problem is those two parts were working fine before he took my laptop. So maybe it was a manufacturing problem but he just went straight to accusing me of his own assumptions of something I never said. So I asked him how much water do you think was spilled on my keyboard and he says two ounces. I can tell you that didn’t happen, but why would I spend 230-240 dollars on a repair just to call the person I last picked the laptop up from who repaired it. Who opened up the laptop and without even taking a look at it he says it’s the motherboard.Do I think he damaged it, after this phone call I think there is a possibility he accidentally put it back together and damaged my laptop. He accused me of saying he spilled liquid on my laptop which I did not say and continued to be very argumentative which shows me some sort of guilt and he is unsure of himself because he maybe too confident of his abilities that there is that possibility of error.I don’t like how it was jumped to the motherboard before even looking at it. I don’t like that he accused me of something I didn’t say. Then he threw in my face yknow I got other customers than you as if I wasn’t worth the time as a customer granted I gave him another device to work on immediately after I got my computer back that’ll cost me another 200 dollars. So why would I call and try to figure this out just to be told I’m falsely accusing him of something I didn’t say. I have a feeling he has done this before.He discredited HP Technical Support said they didn’t know what they were talking about he discredit all the forums and solved problems. He said they didn’t know what they were talking about the company that built and designed the laptop originally. If you discredit an expert testimony and if that hardware issue was solved on that forum of a related issue how is it wrong? It raises suspicions on his integrity. I gave you the benefit of the doubt Juan but how you treated me over the phone was not professional at all and I didn’t appreciate it.I don’t like being called a liar and you had a guilty conscience before we could get down to the root of the issue hadn’t even looked at my laptop yet but somehow knew the problem before I brought it in even though you said it’s invisible to the eye you can’t see it.update: When I came in I said my fingertips were wet, but that was last year, it did not start acting funny until three weeks ago and continued to get worse. So no it was not water damaged and I had to think about it, I did not drop a cup of water 2oz as you suggested. I did not try to slight you because after I picked up my laptop I brought in immediately a second device which you STILL have that will cost be another 200 plus dollars so why would I try to get anything free from you? I never asked you for a free motherboard I never asked for free anything, I paid you 230 dollars to fix my keyboard and then went about my way for one week until I had to use my headphone jack for the first time in awhile so that I may review a film for my criminal law I class. Why would I slight you? I thought Juan was a really nice guy and he definitely tried to be helpful.I picked up my computer, but didnt start it up for a couple days (I was on vacation) - I started it up only the day before we were heading back to West Africa. Unfortunately, the first start-up, I got the missing boot drives error again. Juan had done a full system wipe/restore/data backup for me, so I figured it was just a fluke. I hoped it was. I restarted and it worked just fine. The first thing I did was download Kaspersky virus protection.The computer continued to work fine for about 2 weeks - and then started doing the same crap again. I now get the blue screen (same errors) and the failed boot drive pretty regularly. Thats kind of disappointing since Ive been using the recommended virus scan (which has never found any viruses or corruptions) and Im back in West Africa where I cant take it back in for Juan to look at again. The fix didnt even hold up a month. I dont use suspicious software (I dont do torrents, or download things other than for work-related purposes).I spent almost $100 to get it fixed and it works about the same as it did before - which is to say its barely functional. Im coming home to Austin again in September so I will have to figure out if I take it back here or if I try a new place. Im kind of bummed about it because I really did like Juan - so Im a bit sad to give him not a great review.

I thought the service here was very poor. I called about receiving a quote and was told to bring it in so they could look at it. When I found time to do So, they informed me I would have to leave the laptop.
