I heard about this place on Instagram, and really do not regret coming here at all! The staff were extra friendly/accommodating in communicating with me as a deaf customer. I ordered a latte and the hummus toast. I love that they do not surcharge for the almond milk since Im dairy free. The latte was very flavorful, not super bitter. The hummus toast is also one of the best millennial toasts Ive ever tasted! It was full of savory flavor and slightly spicy, just the way I like it. Also, if you take the time to check out the back patio, its such a cool place to chill out at. Lots of greenery in a relaxing atmosphere. It is perfect for brunch with friends or a date, whether with yourself or someone else. I will be coming back here for sure.

I ADORE Try Hard! I live just down the street and walk over for coffee with my boyfriend pretty often. The coffee, matcha and tacos are so tasty! The space is so charming, the service is amazing and the staff are all just wonderful humans. Its always a happy vibe in there––every time I go, I just know its going to be a great experience. Not to mention, they supported our neighborhood during the winter storm with free tacos and coffee in the morning when everything was shut down. They are just fabulous. The *only* thing I could possibly have to say, is that I wish they were open later; I usually get my coffee craving around 3pm or so, and they are closed by then. But obviously thats just a personal preference and not their problem at all. I love this place so much!!

Probably the best coffee I’ve had so far in Austin, from their fresh roasted beans that I brew at home to their crafted drinks hand delivered from the bar. Just as important, the people are so friendly, and the whole space is very inviting. Can’t wait to come back and stay awhile (and order some food)!Update: The food is bomb! Tacos are made in house and full of flavor, and the cinnamon rolls are perfectly gooey and delicious. They really do TRY HARD on everything, and it shows!

This has to be one of the best coffee spots in Austin! Everyone who works here is so friendly and the outdoor patios are great. I love that the oat milk/almond milk isn’t any extra cost unlike a lot of other places. I come nearly every week and it doesn’t disappoint.

Waited almost 45 minutes for my coffee. They were supposedly down a person. After sitting there watching their process, they had one girl taking one drink at a time trying to find who it belonged to. Multiple people went to the counter asking where is my drink and they kept saying we will bring it to you. When you have 6 drinks waiting to go out, just give the person their drink! Why make someone wait when their drink is sitting on the counter ready for them? Its not that difficult and its poor customer service to make people wait while 1 person spends 5 minutes walking around trying to find who ordered what drink. Such a waste of time and leaves your customers very frustrated!

One of the best new Old-Austin places to open- delicious, community focused, fun, and has a little something for everyone (vegan, gluten-free, omnivore). Their gluten-free lemon poppy seed cake paired with a black cuppa- there is seriously no better way to start the day, no matter the time. The food is so frickin delicious, its hard to not order one of everything. Plus, they have front and back patio, as well as inside, options and a dj to keep me grooving more than I ever thought I could. Im low-key obsessed with this place!

What an amazing place! All 3 tacos we had were tasty (vegan migas, migas, and carnitas and eggs) and definitely something to come back for. Then the coffee was also quite good as well (coffee cola definitely a unique taste but I loved it). With everything being so good we grabbed some pastries to go and enjoyed all those as well. Service was top notch with them going as far as to notice we had decided to sit and stay instead of taking it to go and asking us if we wanted to switch our tacos to for here after our coffee was delivered. 100% will come back (especially with their good prices) and try some more of the specialty drinks.

We don’t live in Austin, so couldn’t go support in person. The Music Is Happiness blend is everything I love for a cup of coffee, and we French press that bb.But we also ordered a roasters choice bag, they sent us No Hands. Lemme tell you, I was not disappointed.Absolutely will be ordering from here again.

My wife and I are still mourning the loss of Blue Dahlia, but I was happy to see this new local coffee shop take the space. Never have I been! But I wanted to come to support this local coffee shop and they were having some donation thing going with free icecream. I went but we had got there a little late, after closing actually (I wasnt aware of the hours). I knocked on the door, and I belive maybe the manager, or owner.. he had told us we were late and I was oh okay can I atleast have some water because it is really hot, he gave us free cold brew and water and a pint of a ice cream!! I was so surprised and extremely satisfied and pleasantly delighted by his kind gesture and service, the coffee was awesome and I will definitely be back during buisness hours because the entire staff seemed so friendly, thank you so much for making my day❤

Probably the best new coffee shop in Austin. Coffee is incredible with a wide selection and an incredibly friendly staff! Discovered this place a little over a month ago and have been back every weekend to try their weekend special, Migas taco and a coffee. If you have time, ask to sit on the back patio for a great ambiance to enjoy your food and company. It pains me to write this because I know this will become an Austin establishment with lines as long as Franklin’s but I had to write this review to give Try Hard coffee the incredible review it deserves!

Got a delicious decaf latte with oat milk and vanilla. It was so good! The vanilla was not too sweet like it can be at other places. I also appreciate the milk alternative as I love the extra little nuttiness of flavor you get from Oat Milk. Pretty quick and the guy behind the counter was super nice! Cute little walk up window for now during Covid and a couple of spaced out tables to sit if you wanna stay.

Really, really good coffee. easily some of the best coffee in austin. their tacos are way above average as well. but the best part by far, and giving this place 5/5 regardless of what they sell, is the staff. very passionate and excited to be there. very nice and a great addition to the neighborhood. going to miss blue dahlias and their back patio. but for anything to take over dahlias space, this is the best option possible. hoping that after covid, Try Hard will do something great with the back patio space.

This place is great. The east side needed a good breakfast taco near 11th st and I had not found one I really loved until I started coming here. I LOVE the carnitas and egg taco, and the lattes are on point.
