Entered at about 10 p.m tonight to give this place a shot. It was quite filled with customers both standing and lounging in the inside and outside areas. Not a single one of the customers I saw was wearing a mask, but the two employees standing behind the front counter were. As I approached the female employee, an older lady, demanded to know if I had a mask. I simply replied no. In response she snatched up and stuffed her fingers into a box, yanked out a mask and thrust it toward me. Put this on please she rudely demanded in a peevish tone of voice. I just instantly turned and left without bothering to point out that not a single other customer in or outside the shop was wearing one. Have a nice night she tossed out for a snarky finale as I headed out the door. Weird, but not in a good way. Ill not be back.

My first visit to Epoch Coffee and I really liked. Very good expresso coffee. I had the blueberry scones and also a tamale. All was yummy—-How would I not come back?That coffee is a piece of art!

Really nice people at local coffee joint. The base coffee to my drink was outstanding, and in fact I had to inquire about the brand of coffee. Prices are a little better than Starbucks too. They need a loyalty program however, to better compete with the likes of Starbucks

In town visiting a friend and we came to Epoch to finish some work and enjoy their drinks. I recommend the hibiscus mint tea. Service was great and quick. Really loved how chill the vibe was here, and there are some fun shops right next door to check out.

Cool and relaxed atmosphere with a great variety of delicious coffee and good cookies. We had a cold brew and a double shot of espresso. Both very good. Open late, which we love and appreciate too.

Coffee tasted awful. Walked into a store full of maskless people. COVID is only active if you stand up in the store. Barista was outside smoking a big fat loud joint.

When it comes to safety of all people, this coffee shop extremely exceeds other 24 hour places such as The Buzz Mill - I am bummed that this place closes at 12 AM now but can understand it should NOT have been their responsibility for this long to facilitate safe spaces within the city for people. I would still always recommend supporting this space, their initiatives, and local neighbors way more than I would other 24 hour options locally.Maybe Bennu might be the closest second option, but this place does reign supreme in safe but also local places that are cordial and safe enough for female identifying beings to work and stay safe.

Just had great cup of coffee today. Miss the gooey, decadent chocolate cake/pie dessert. Like to go sit outside on the porch and catch up on my paperwork. Mac (my dog) likes to schmooze with people and get occasional treats.

The coffee is super good. I’ve gone three times now to see if I’d have a better experience with different people working, but I feel like all of the employees are just not friendly ): like to the point where they are condescending. You gotta hire new people, I will personally work here and bring good vibes if you need it! There’s a lot of places with good coffee, the human interaction is what makes you want to continue to support a specific business. Sorry I’m passionate, coming from a barista herself lol.

THE STAFF IS HORRIBLY RUDE! Go and ignore the rudeness because the coffee is great and the group I was studying with all agreed that the open hours are the most appealing thing.

It’s a good coffee shop. They make some pretty fire americanos and espressos. Really enjoy their joe on early Austin mornings. Definitely recommend Epoch as a potential go-to coffee spot. A nice extra about this location is that it’s right next to a pretty dope record store—coffee and records, can’t beat it!

Cool college coffee shop. I havent been here for a couple of years, work and life and such, but with the exception of the social distancing now, its pretty much like I remember it. Great atmosphere and the staff are awesome. Whatever they are getting paid, its not enough. Their blended mocha coffee was so good, my girlfriend wanted one after she finished her iced coffee, lol.

Although I havent been here much lately, Ive spent years kicking around this place. I love that Epoch breathed new life into the whole North Loop neighborhood. I love that its one of the only 24hr businesses in Austin. I love that they are involved in the local art scene in various ways. The owners are nice people who have helped countless other local businesses. Epoch has always been a great social space, but unfortunately their coffee has always come second to that. The drip coffee and iced coffee are decent, but their espresso drinks have always been a little on the bitter side. Most customers seem to order sweet milky drinks that mask everything, and theres nothing wrong with that. But if youre looking for the perfect exquisite cup of most heavenly coffee on this earth (as I always am), then there are better options.

These guys are great. They need more seating. Wish they had beer too.

This place is the perfect spot to grab a coffee sit down and study. The vibe is amazing and the coffee is good. I always get a ice hazelnut mocha before skateboarding from here.

This is a popular location. However while I was at my stay there I did not see not once the tables being cleaned.My chia was good. And I loved the cup it was served in.

Is as less than impressed with the set up here. I dont know if it was an off day but the staff werent super friendly which surprised me because usually when I visit Austin people everywhere are almost annoyingly nice. I asked questions about the menu and they were kind of short and not super helpful. Im not trying to be a Karen about it, just surprised me. The coffee was ok but they didnt have as many options as Im used to for milk and the likes. Very busy though with lots of people talking and studying and it had a cool vibe so Ill probably revisit and give it another chance if Im in the area likes and Id still probably recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of thing in the area, especially since it was recommended to me.Also, the parking set up was pretty good for Austin and I liked all the other shops they had in the little strip.

Their coffee is not that good. Tastes very cardboard like. The establishment does not make you feel welcome and the area looks like North Philadelphia. Dont buy.

Ive been here a couple of times and Im never disappointed. Always super friendly and they have pretty ample seating. I have had the aeropress coffee on my previous visit, and had a mocha on this most recent. Both were delicious. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good cup coffee and to sit out on the patio when weather permits.

I normally enjoy this spot, but the Batista was very rude and demanded a tip although he didnt deserve it. Really disappointed with the service....EDIT: I then received my mocha and he didnt mix the chocolate powder at all. It was horrible. So disappointed

Wowza, just called and the young man who answered the phone was incredibly rude and literally hung up on me, I guess because he was annoyed that he had to answer questions from customers at work. I was asking to see if it would be a good place to get a cup and work late nights, now I can see this is definitely not a place I’ll receive hospitality.

I’m not crazy about the price of the coffee but it couldn’t be in the cooler spot. Free water fir u or your dog on a hot day is pretty cool

I’ve heard really good things about this place, so I went today for the first time and I felt so unwelcomed by the barista. I wasn’t familiar with their cup sizes for iced coffee and he made me feel like I was bothering him by asking. I ended up just sitting outside, before I left I went back inside and being my first time going there I had to ask where the bathroom was and he just pointed towards the restroom and didn’t say anything. Not a very friendly staff.

For the comfort and community space theyve created they deserve 5 stars; however the coffee/drink quality is highly variable. I highly recommend keeping the order simple and expecting leisurely service.

I Was asked to put on a mask but most of the people in the shop were mask-less ? Then when I left the other barista was out side smoking some loud.

Nice local cafe. Currently there is only outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and keeps things orderly. You can walk up to order and wait for your drink on the decorated patio. Tried the peppermint latte, it wasnt overly peppermint which I liked.

Kinda snooty vibe.

I will go out of my way to get some good coffee form these wonderful folks!

My favorite coffee shop in Austin. Super welcoming, coffee is great, and I still feel comfortable going there with their walk up window and closed dining room. All over good vibes.

So, disclosure, I visited during the pandemic.. so not sure what thatll mean 6 months from now, but this place is great. The locals seem to know that already as there were still a few around at about 11:30pm, minding their own and socially distancing.The venue is clean and they are clearly doing the right thing by patrons based on their outdoor seating requirements etc.The coffee itself was really good, not sure what roast they mostly use, but it was mild with a nice sweetness to it ( nothing added ).Its good to find a place with nice people and good coffee still open until midnight.. sometimes you just need a late coffee and Epoch is a great excuse to get one.

I love this spot!Even though they have a few locations, it feels very neighborhoody.The physical environment is very comfortable and unique that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Its also nice to see some of the same people there week after week.The coffee is good quality, well-made, and reasonably affordable.The staff arent overly-friendly on the surface, but are always willing to answer questions and make sure you have a great experience.I like this Epoch location because it is a comfortable and unique place in my neighborhood that brings the people who live here together, and offers a consistently good experience while Im there.

This is my favorite coffee shop! Every drink I have had here is delicious and the workers are friendly. They use a high quality espresso for their lattes and you can taste the difference. My fiancé loves their iced chai and says its the best he has ever had. We also recently both tried the mojo coffees and they are SO tasty. It has become my go-to drink there!

Everything was delicious and absolutely beautifully.

Went here today and the lady working was so rude that I didn’t even order anything. We walked a mile to get here to have coffee and my friend was still outside and 6+ feet away from the entrance and the staff member asked her (not politely) to put her mask up. Then, I brought my service dog to the bathroom with me and she yelled out of the door I was leaving that only service dogs could come inside.. assuming mine wasn’t. Not once did she smile, say anything other than rude negative comments our whole visit :) I’ll give Epoch the benefit of the doubt that they made a poor hiring decision or maybe she was having a bad day and they’re coffee is good? unsure

Gave them a 1 star review about 2 years ago, but much has changed since then. The obnoxious people on the shop staff are long gone, and those who remain are wonderful people. I love this place again.

This is my favorite coffee shop within Austin. It has a large, comfortable seating area, friendly staff, and many electrical sockets under almost every table for charging electronics.It also has a relatively large parking area. I highly recommend this place.

Place was packed on the inside, but it had a nice atmosphere! So we enjoyed our lovely hot green tea and horchata outside. It was my first time going, but I loved it and cant wait to go back!

Top notch place. Great atmosphere. Pizza is good. The mojo is amazing. Full mojo is very sweet. Wife loves it. I prefer the half mojo half coffee. Its perfect. Outlets everywhere for charging.

I can always count in this place to feel like home. This was the first place that made my partner and I feel welcomed in Austin. The vibe (at least later in the night around 10pm-3am) ranges from grunge to simply cozy. I’ve never been disappointed with their coffee selections and their staff is always calm and collected. The parking is made obvious and if there’s no spots left there’s lots of legal street parking. Overall, this place will have my business as long I’m near Austin.

Its 24 hours, got lots of nice indoor armchairs and tables and outdoor tables and seating bar with outlets overlooking a small creek. I got an iced matcha latte, and it was delicious. Decent parking lot for austin. One of my favorite coffee shops!

My absolute favorite coffee shop- pre-pandemic (I haven’t been since then) the 24 hours, fast wifi, outdoor areas (both smoking and no), and friendly + skilled baristas made this place a 10/10. Local bakeries and restaurants supply their food, they have a wealth of information on their beans, and they are always quick!

Kinda comfy whether you go alone or with friends! Music is the best here.😎

OMG had the COOLEST experience here:First things first, theyre walk-up only (at the time of this review) and had a solid plastic barrier between the register and the customer. So 10/10 for C-19 safety right off the bat.Storytime. So, its a sleepy cloudy middle-of-Covid day where no one wants to be out. But Im set on trying this local coffee spot that everyone Ive talked to has only had good experiences at. Epoch has a line of maybe 3 of us (all spaced apart) and you can feel this vibe that says, Everyone keep your distance; be safe, dont talk. Lets just get our coffees and disperse. Gloomy, right?Then each of us gets to the register where an 8 man with a beehive engages with *each* of us, and leaves us walking away from the register like we just learned we get a free puppy with our order. No joke, I went from cloistered to exuberant. I mean, my body language changed.Gentleman at the register asked what my plans were for the day, and I said I didnt work for a few hours, so Im gonna get caffeinated and play videogames. Get this: he asked Which videogames? So I said, Fallout New Vegas, actually. Its a 10 year old game, but itll be my first playthrough and Im kinda excited. He says, You should be! Its got a sh*t ton of replay value! And Im like, YEAH!.. Yeah OKAY, lets DO THIS day!And the coffee was on-point too. So theres that.(Apparently if you get brown sugar in your espresso they should add it during the pour so it caramelizes when the hot espresso hits it. And our Epoch guys *knew* this.)

Great atmosphere and amazing coffee. Its also in a cute little shopping center where you can wonder around if you like. They have lunch options as well if youre hungry. Several different brewing methods for many options.

Has been one of my favourite coffee shops in Austin for years. Pre-COVID, it was a great place for late night hangouts with coffee and pizza.
