I had such a magical experience at Second Summer. I brought my mother and mother in law with me to try on dresses and my consultant was happy to indulge their desire to play dress up and pick a few dresses for me for fun before getting down to the serious business of finding The One. Going off the hint of me having a floral-themed engagement ring, she managed to find the absolute perfect dress, in a beautiful shade that makes my pasty skin have an actual hue! It was love at first sight, tears and all. I never felt as beautiful as I did when my husband first saw me coming down the aisle. From beginning to end, Second Summer and their sister store Blush treated me so well and made the whole process so smooth for me. A+ recommendation.

They squeezed me in for an appointment at the last minute (same day a couple hours later - I was in town visiting)! First place I shopped for a wedding dress, and I’m SO glad I did. My dress was absolutely perfect. In love with our wedding photos 😍

I visited Second Summer earlier this week and could not have had a better experience-- the gowns were lovely, the staff were super helpful and kind and really knew their stuff. Im a street-size 4-6 which puts me about a ten in bridal dresses and they had racks of options for me to try on. They have the ability to work with a wide range of budgets and I never felt any pressure to look at something I couldnt afford. Ive been to a store where I definitely felt the pressure of a hard-sell--and that is NOT Second Summer. Many, if not most, of the gowns are actually sample gowns, not just secondhand/already worn so if that aspect of it is a turn off for you--this store is absolutely definitely still worth visiting as you search for your perfect gown.

I have only great things to say about Second Summer. I went with my best friend to find her dress back in November, and we had a great experience with Alex. She was knowledgeable, patient, and made Sarah, the bride, feel at ease. They have a great selection at a variety of affordable prices, and we found the perfect dress for Sarah.Sadly, Sarah lost her dress in a house fire just two months before her wedding. When I contacted Second Summer post-fire, they were quick to assist us in looking for the destroyed dress, even at other shops, and when we couldn’t locate it at any other shops or online (the dress was discontinued), they made room for us in their schedule so Sarah could find a new dress ASAP. Mary Kate helped us this time (and Alex again at the end), and she was very helpful in the questions she asked Sarah and was able to help guide Sarah to a new perfect dress! She really listened to what Sarah wanted and liked, and now Sarah has a beautiful dress that is perfect for her and for the venue, and will be able to be altered in her timeframe. Mary Kate was very helpful especially in making sure we knew whether or not each dress would be able to be ready in time for the wedding. Alex is going to do the alterations, and she was very accommodating to our tight schedule.This second shopping experience was a very emotional day for all of us, especially for Sarah who had just lost everything that week. Mary Kate and Alex were incredibly helpful and empathetic, and shared in our tears and joy. They made a difficult day and situation much easier and joyous than we could have asked for. While I didnt find THE dress here, I got pretty close thanks to MK.The salon was lovely, COVID-friendly, and had a very calming presence.As others have said, the store is organized by size, so it can be hard if something catches your eye and is definitely not your size but some of the dresses may still in stock at Blush if price isnt a huge concern for you.We did have to put $50 down to get the appointment but again, had a great time, and MK was a great consultant.

If you are looking to either consign your dress or buy one, apparently they wont buy or consign a dress under a size us size 8.I have couture dress that is in European sizing at a eu 14 (us 8) and they wouldnt even consider it. Unless youre the size of a stick, dont bothe wasting your time or money here.

Honestly, you might as well go to other boutiques. Just got off the phone with them as they had stated there was a deal on Tuesdays. When i went the deal did not apply to me and now they are trying to say they didnt false advertise to me. I ended up getting a beautiful dress but sad by the experience as they could have been more friendly and honest. Mary kate is very dismissive and the staff overall does not make the experience personable as other places do.It feels like they are money hungry and trying to get the sale. The customer is just always wrong here it seems.

I found a very beautiful wedding dress with help from Alex. And it was under my budget by a lot. And it fits almost perfectly. I would recommend this shop if you want a beautiful dress.

I got my dress here, and I am very excited about it.I found fairly good deals - ended up getting one that’s beautiful for $500.However, I will agree with many of the reviews here and say that the staff did indeed make me feel like another sale.Quick to assume I was purchasing, quick to get me in and out of the door, and unfortunately not very personable especially in comparison to other bridal stores (Unbridaled has an amazing staff -).I’m grateful for my low price dress but disappointed that they seem to only care about the commission they earn from me as a customer.

I was late to my appointment! Very late! We rushed through the whole thing and it was STILL an amazing experience. I was able to peruse the selection while my attendant pulled several gorgeous dresses. Nothing was really singing to me, though, and I was basically out of time. I begged to look just ONE more time and found a huge dress at the upper end of my price range. It brought literal tears to my eyes when I put it on! I bought it immediately.PS, about pricing: there are options under 1000 dollars. My second choice was a piece that was only 600 dollars. There ARE options here. However, if you really need a bargain, please check the clearance section of Lillian Mae Bridal on Rutland. Shes also great for alterations. While I was having my gorgeous dress altered there, I found a dress I would have been just as happy in for $200 dollars.Thanks again ladies I loved my time with you!

Very terrible experience here with Mary Kate. Rude, pushy and refused me 3 times to try on the dress of my dreams (as I told her). So, I just went to stillwhite.com instead to buy the dress she refused to let me try on as she repeatedly told me I could not afford it - this was after I expressed my budget was more of a preference and that I was flexible. So, I spent double online than I would have in this store. But it was worth it. I even cried at this appointment out of embarrassment. Every bride deserves the chance to try on the dress of her dreams. Sure, warn someone if it’s outside their price range but don’t repeatedly deny someone when they ask 3x. Glad I took my business elsewhere.Another thing to note is... when someone says their budget is $1,000 - maybe don’t treat them like they said their budget is $10. Whether you spend $1,000 or $2,000 - it is still a lot of money. It isn’t pennies.

TL;DR Second Summer Bride is a perfect place to get your wedding dressThis place is amazing! Im not stick thin, as you can see, so finding a dress that was going to make me feel beautiful and not like a sausage casing was going to be a hunt. Oh, and I had a smaller budget. I also loved the idea of my wedding dress being green. We did a destination wedding, so it was important that the dress could be taken on a plane. I had read some reviews here about Second Summer and my mom was coming into town to dress shop with me. We went to Second Summer first, and the experience was out of this world. They had dresses that I could fit into that didnt look dumpy, it wasnt a madhouse like you see in Davids Bridal, and my consultant was respectful, helpful, and generally wonderful. We tried on about 3-4 dresses, and really loved one, but I wanted to try on a couple more and think on it. We went to our Davids Bridal appointment, but nothing stood up to the dress at Second Summer. So we went back and got it! Please, if you are a bride in Austin, check this place out, you will be glad you did.

MK was my consultant, and after only a few dresses she managed to pick the perfect one - its like it was made for me; it was the childhood dream dress I had always wanted. Both MK and Sarah were so kind & helpful, and the prices are incredible as well. Im telling everyone I know getting married in Austin - go to Second Summer!!

This was the third bridal shop I looked at for my wedding dress and by far the best experience! The consultant was never pushy, which allowed me to actually relax and find something I liked, instead of being overwhelmed. I found a dress I absolutely loved and was able to try it on twice and walk all around the store with it on to make certain it was the one. There were tons of options in my budget of $1200 and the dress I ended up with was actually well below this budget! Thanks for the experience and the dress!

Pushy, insulting, overpriced and just plain rude. Sarah’ this review is for you. Completely failed to listen to the bride (not me) and kept pushing way more expensive dresses than the budget. We told her under $1000 and Sarah’ didn’t bring ANY under $1000.GO TO DAVID’S bridal!! We went there after and found the dress! (Under budget and the people working there were lovely).

Might be the coolest bridal gown store in Austin--so many different things to choose from and I love that they offer OTR styles. They have super unique dresses & styles not offered anywhere else, which was really cool. I like that they offer affordable styles along with couture gowns so the possibilities are endless

I was nervous about getting pressures by a salesperson when going to try on wedding dresses, so my top priority for the experience was finding someone and somewhere I felt comfortable making my own decision. Natalie, the woman who helped me at Second Summer, was so delightful to be around, had loads of helpful tips, kept my preferences and best interest and heart, helped me stay in my price range, and made the whole experience painless (maybe even fun?). Would highly recommend!

Came in the store with an appointment with Sara with the intent of finding my dress that same day. Sara was able to pick dresses that I liked but it seemed that my dresses were towards the higher end of my budget which I was okay with, but was hoping she would have pulled dresses at a lower range to see what we were looking at. My mom and sister were with me and were not impressed with the experience or Sara, to the point at the end of my appointment they just left and didn’t care to take a picture. We were not allowed to walk around the store to look at dresses (which I assume is due to COVID). I was able to go to the back and watch Sara pick some dresses but i was still unable to walk around freely to look at dresses (Again, this may be due to COVID). The reason for the 3 stars is I like my dress, but again I wish I had the ability to walk around and get a feel of what was in the store, as well as my guests. I appreciate Sara and she is the expert, but the experience just felt so rushed. We have gone to other bridal stores after this experience and the experiences with them were much more pleasant (less rushed, ability to look and pick dresses out).

I made a list of bridal shops to visit and based off the reviews and photos, this was my very first stop! I was so impressed the second I walked in the door. The amazing ladies greeted me with warm smiles and assisted me right away. I didnt even have an appointment (being my first time I didnt even know thats something I had to do) but they started asking questions and pulling dresses for me to try on. I was immediately comfortable in the fitting room and excited to see what Id find since these dresses are so incredible! We didnt find a match but I made an appointment for the following week when new ones came in. In that time, I went to a few other bridal shops and was not treated ANYTHING like I was at Second Summer Bride. When I came back, I had the same amazing experience, but unfortunately just didnt find the dress and went with one from another shop. I will be back to check out accessories! I HIGHLY recommend that any future brides stop here and check out the beautiful dresses and wonderful staff! Thank you so much!!! :)

I went here for my first bridal appointment to try and find my dress! I wasnt excepting to fall in love with any dresses right away but I was pleasantly surprised! Alanna was my consultant and she was absolutely wonderful! I tried on a bunch of dresses, she helped me find a style that I loved, that I previously didnt think Id like at all! The dresses were all very well priced and still in great condition considering they are either on consignment or were samples previously. Although I didnt end up picking a dress from here, if I hadnt found the one at my other appointment I certainly would have come back and picked one of the two I fell in love with here! Id definitely recommend this shop!

I visited with my friend, the bride-to-be. The staff was so nice and helpful! They helped us find dresses in her budget as well as her style. They also didnt mind that we brought some sparkling wine to enjoy while she tried on dresses. It was a fun experience and a wonderful option for all brides who want a beautiful dress at a great price.

Our experience was less than we had hoped. Our bridal consultant, Sara Garcia, was rude and actually made negative comments about us to the bride to be. The Mom described what kind of dress the bride preferred and she failed to show those type dresses. We were first told where to look for dresses then to stay because she would take the bride to look. Next, we were told to move because others would need to crowd into the sitting area, also. We had an appointment! My recommendations, paint your store and pedestals, get updated furniture and train your personnel to provide good positive customer service.

I said YES to my dress here!!I started my wedding dress shopping experience at the high-end boutiques, but ended in tears of frustration. I’m not a size 4 but most of the dresses in those boutiques are that small so there’s no way to even try them on to see if they’re an option. I’m not about to spend $6,000+ on a dress I can’t even see on my body. It was such a bad experience.Then I went to Second Summer and they had so many dresses in my size and even larger so I could clip them and see them on my body. I had such a fun experience and found my dress on my first visit, which I wasn’t expecting. The ladies who work here are so kind and friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this bridal shop. It was one of the first places I set an appointment with and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I had the pleasure of working with Natalie. She was an absolute joy! She was so helpful and so excited with me throughout the process. I let her know that I had a very small budget to work with and she was able to pull a wide variety of designer dresses in my price range. I absolutely fell in love with one of the dresses I tried on but felt I needed to give other bridal shops a chance as well to make sure I was making the right choice. After going to several other shops I was very disappointed in the selection of dresses in my price range and also the customer service fell short in comparison. I quickly returned the next day to purchase the wedding dress that I first chose and the other sales rep Silvia and the store manager Audrey were there to help and were wonderful as well. Thank you so much Second Summer Bride for making my dream dress become a reality!

I would definitely recommend Second Summer Bride! They have a good selection of consignment dresses as well as a small boutique in the store. I went to Second Summer after purchasing a dress from Alfred Angelo and never receiving it after they closed. They were so kind and patient with me (it isn’t fun to shop for a dress after you’ve found THE dress). I ended up finding an even more perfect dress and they were so helpful throughout the whole process.

Had a great time with my dear friend as she tried on wedding dresses at Second Summer Bride. We specifically went for the Bloom by Blush and the dresses were beautiful. Pricing was between around 1 - 3K. I browsed the other dresses in the store and there were some great deals. I would say it is definitely worth checking out!

Really helpful shop. Never pushy, they just wanted to make sure you were helped. Beautiful, quality dresses. My mom thought my dress was 6-8k but it was $1600. My only negative (and I think this is common across all shops) is the appt didnt seem long enough. Id recommend asking about a second appt if you are unsure.

Kara was phenomenal!!! She definitely made up for the not so good experience that I had at a bigger shop not too far from there. I told them what I was looking for ahead of time and when my fiance and I arrived they had several dresses in the room waiting and then allowed me to get dressed and look to see if there was anything else I wanted to try on. I couldnt decide between two dresses and Kara patiently helped me get back in them and put a veil on me so that we could get the vision. Second Summer Bride is deceptively large and has a great selection. I didnt find too many dresses that were my style, within my size range, or within my budget, but the dresses that did meet those criteria were gorgeous and looked new. I found that many dresses cost more than I expected for a consignment store (sometimes more than new dresses I looked at at other bridal shops). I pointed out a few dresses for my consultant to pull, and she chose two more to try on. Natalie was a highlight of my experience - very sweet, funny, honest, and practical. She helped me visualize how a dress might look with different alterations like removing sleeves, adding a different belt, and changing the neckline a bit. The mirrors inside and outside the dressing room are big and well-lit. It was easy to make an appointment and to find the shop. I ultimately decided to have my dress custom-made, but I had a great experience here and would highly recommend that anyone looking for a dress try Second Summer Bride.

The sales associate was super sweet, kind, and helpful despite me being completely up front about not being In the market for these dresses! She still answered my questions and gave me advice on what style of dress might be most flattering for my body shape and current pregnant belly...she wasnt dismissive or rude and I wish I could remember her name!! Either way, I came in stressed and overwhelmed about chosing a gown and she was so nice and helpful! Also, if I WASNT BROKE, there really are some beautiful gowns there....and not overpriced, I am just broke. Just want to make that clear. There were gowns for 700-1600 that I really loved....just....not in my personal price range! The store was pretty and clean as well! I want to also reiterate.....I appreciate that I was treated nice and not snooty and pretentious. Thank you!! God Bless!!

Second Summer is a super sweet shop and Natalie and Audrey were very friendly. I took my dress for consignment here and the process was very easy, and its a good system because when the store makes a good sale, you get as much as they do. Its a win-win for everyone! I would recommend a stop here if youre shopping for a new gown or looking to give your gown another chance to shine.

This is a wonderful place to find gently used designer dresses. Theyre very helpful and actually help you get into every dress. I love that the dresses are organized by size so youre not searching the entire store. Although they have a good selection, I didnt find any dresses under $1000 that I liked. Most of the dresses seemed to be priced $1200-$2000, way beyond my budget sadly. Definitely check them out though, they get lots of new inventory.

While I didnt find my dress here, I had a lovely experience! My consultant was super attentive and fun. She also put up with my adorable, yet loud and not too happy 2 year old niece who was along. If youre looking for a quality gown that wont break the bank, definitely try this place out! Big selection in a wide range of sizes. Come prepared to buy that day though, they dont hold anything. There is also a little room of accessories as well!

Overall my experience here was disappointing. For second hand dresses, they are very pricey. I didnt try on anything less than $1,200. Staff was not very polite to my mother who arrive about 5 mins before me. They did not help me pick out dresses according to what I told them I was interested in, and just showed me where I could find my size dress and left me to pick out my own dress. Although this is a great idea for a store to help brides keep the pricing down, they are going about it all wrong.

We had a lovely experience. After doing some dress-shopping before, we can savely say not to have had better consultancy before. The attendant was very friendly and interest, super flexible, very helpful and understanding. She had a great feeling for her clients and a very considerate taste and she made it a wonderfully comfortable experience. As it came to closing the deal, the shop did a lot to serve their customers. Also, the selection is excellent, just like the prices. They are currently waiting for expanding in the neighboring shop unit and totally deserve this success. Unfortunately, we are not from the area and cannot send our friends over here, but we would certainly do that.

I had a wonderful experience here and found a gorgeous and NEW Essence of Australia dress well below my budget! I was really surprised at how large the selection was. Theres plenty to choose from at any budget. This was the second store I visited when I was shopping for my dress and I highly recommend it to any bride!

Wish I could give unlimited stars! Had an amazing experience here. They made up for the horrible experience I had else where. I had a scheduled appointment with another bridal shop, where I was on time and they made me wait 15 mins before helping and then cut my appointment short to help another bride. Second Summer Bride took me as a walk in and gave me unlimited time to be my picky indecisive self. All the while helping along the way! Then to top it off the afforabiledy of their dresses is astonishing. My dress should have been over 3,000 and I was able to get it at 1,000. Brand new dress! Beyond recommend this place for all brides!

I had a great experience. Natalie is so sweet and helpful! She took the time out and asked questions about my fiancee and I. She made me feel so special! She helped me find the dress that I love and for a reasonable price. I got the dress and a sash for under $1200 after taxes. They also offer for you to sell your dress back and 50% back. They have a huge selection as well. I liked a lot of the dresses I tried on. I had been to Belle Saison, Alexia Gavela, and Blue Bridal.
