Love hitting this place up every now and again. They always have a great selection of beer and snacks on hand. Also, if you are a fan of desserts, this is the place to go for the munchies when they come up. They usually have fresh desserts up front, like cake/pie slices or brownies and also have frozen desserts. Im a big fan of cool haus ice cream sandwiches and the always keep some fresh stock (aside from the bacon sandwiches...always appeared to have been melted). I recommend this place to anyone in the area or from out of town.

This place makes some amazing tacos and sandwiches and is a reliable place to stop for snacks. Their alcohol selection is impressive and I appreciate that they carry so many local Austin brands.

Great neighborhood market. Breakfast tacos are the best. They also serve sandwiches and have prepared food. Great selection of unusual beers and wine. Lots of stuff for gluten intolerant diets, too. Friendly service, always with a smile. Worth the visit. You can spend a lot of time exploring everything on the shelves.

I fully enjoy going to this little gem of a spot. The breakfast tacos are seriously one of the best options in town based on size, proportion, and tastes. They also have an excellent assortment of wine and beer. I do wish there were a few more essential items for the house, but CVS is literally around the corner, so I cannot complain at all about them. They do well with what they have - cold brew, nutritious/savory/sweet snacks, sandwiches, and everything else mentioned above. It would also be a nice place to do a little computer work if youre looking for a chill spot with low traffic and soft music in background.

Quiet little market sits kind of behind the scenes, but once you know its there, youll be glad you found it! Patio seating area, with hot sandwiches and the like available inside, an impressive wine and beer variety for those who enjoy more than just ordinary! The employees are never too busy to answer questions or offer suggestions, and Ive only once seen one not smiling, in his defense however, hed just bumped his head on a shelf! Stop in for a quick bite and grab the things you need at home all in one stop with less commotion than HEB or Randalls

3 Best things about River City Market...1. The staff is extremely friendly. Always smiling and saying hello.2. Macaroons. I think theyre better than La Duree. All are amazing but I personally like the strawberry.3. Amazing selection of stuff. A lot of it is organic or natural but not all of it so read the labels to make sure youre not buying something you dont want.There are actually a ton more but I promised Id limit myself to 3. Theyre open late so swing by when you can

My instant new favorite market! Excellent selection of beer, beverages, delectable treats and grocery items (with a an organic/natural slant). The deli offers great sandwiches, sides and the pastry case always has a selection of macarons. Whats not to love?

Neighborhood coffee place, taco joint, and deli, with a strangely varied beer and wine selection and friendly staff. Coffee (from Katzs) is brewed really well and staff is accommodating for food prep (says the person who orders an egg white migas taco with no cheese). Worth a stop if youre looking for a place to work for a little while (high speed internet access available) or somewhere to grab a bite with friends. Dog friendly patio seating outside, close to a bus stop, just off South Congress.

This is right around the corner from our apartment so it makes it very convenient. It easier to pop in here and grab some beer or wine rather than fight the normally crowded HEB. The staff has always been helpful on giving us tips on beers or wines or any other products they have. The prices are a hair over average but most of there selection is almost impossible to find else where or at least limited in stock at other places.

I am visiting town. Wanted COLD PROSECO and having no idea about areas of town or such. Finding ALL MAJOR LIQUOR STORES CLOSED AT 9:00pm until my Google search showed RIVERCITY MARKET. A phone call inquiring about Proseco and COLD revealed an AMAZINGLY, PERSONABLE, INFORMED OWNER WITH A RESOUNDING YES TO ALL OF MY WANTS. Once there, and then going to pickup food that had been ordered and the delay for delivery vs pickup time was huge,.... I then discovered the RIVERCITY MARKET offered an AMAZING selection of FOODS. Guess where lunch will be today, yall!
