Recently brought my S60 in for some pathology in the fuel management system. Able to bring the car in the same day I called and had it back with a new fuel filter sensor within 24 hours! Swedish Auto seemingly has changed management but the work was reliable, very speedy and thorough. Technicians were able to identify and head off another potential expensive repair with their screening as well. I have been a customer since 2013 and always been satisfied across different management. Definitely recommend if you have a Volvo in the Austin area.

Drop off was quick and easy. I mostly knew the issue and drop off was easy with an apointment and the repair was done in a timely manner. Pricing was much more fair than the dealer would have been. And the dealer always takes forever. I see my self using this shop again.

Very helpful, knowledgeable, high quality, thorough and fair. Went to them in March with an electrical problem (start/stop did not work) and they diagnosed that the support battery was not functioning properly. Replaced it and everything is great. Scheduling was easy, they took the car in when I arrived for the appointment and explained the issues in a surprisingly short period of time. Thoroughly and thoughtfully addressed all my questions. I have been going to Swedish Auto Service for almost 20 years. Right now I take my Lexus and my Volvo there. They have always been amazing, and now that they are doing more than just Volvos and Saabs, I use them for all my cars.So how do you know a good repair shop from a bad one? A good repair shop is one that focuses on fixing the problem you have by diagnosing it correctly. My Lexus was making some noise. They took it out, listened to the sound, came back into the shop, replaced some parts on the passenger side, and rather than just assuming it was fixed, drove it again and noticed that the noise was also coming from the driver side. They fixed it and got me my car, nice and quiet.I also took my Volvo XC90 here. They helped me do a pre-purchase inspection. They also have helped me maintain the car. I couldnt ask for anything more.

If you have a Volvo in Austin, this is the place to go. They are honest, profesional, caring and quick. I highly recommend this place over the dealership.

They did an engine replacement on my s60 t6. I don’t know about the work just yet being perfect Bc there are a lot of clips missing on my hood, and a couple other questionable things. However I would say that the guy at the front has the best customer service. You just have to double check their work Bc I was told to replace a cat converter ($2600) and then they realized they put the wrong coils on which made my engine misfire. They fixed it, codes went away for misfire and the cat converter after running cataclean ($27).Thanks for the work guys.

They were extremely accommodating with me. I made an appt, didnt need it, then suddenly my car decided I did. They fixed the things on it for what I felt was a reasonable price and were quick about it and willing to work with me about pickup. Id recommend them especially for any Volvo stuff.

I took in my 1999 Volvo V70 that was having brake and suspension issues, among other things. Pegah was very professional and knowledgable and the quote I got was reasonable. They were actually able to save me a good amount of money from their own quote and they found a refurbished part that was cheaper than the new one, and has since been perfectly fine. Repairs were also timely and well done. Ill definitely be going back and would highly recommend them to anyone with a car that needs good taking care of!

I had a difficult situation. My car suddenly stopped running. I did not know for sure what the problem was. I had my car towed to them and they quickly found the problem. and did the repairs quickly at a very reasonable price.

I managed this shop until a few years ago. I had changed careers. I recently needed my brakes done on my BMW 328i. I remembered that they now work on all European cars so I want by to see about getting my brakes done. The service was excellent. The price was more than fair. They did not try to talk me into any unnecessary repairs. The service was quick and efficient. The staff was knowledgeable and caring. I have a high standard for service expectations and the staff at Swedish Auto Service met and exceeded my expecations.

I had two things going on. My air bag light was on and the check engine light would come on and go off. The issue was a fuel filter sensor. Swedish Auto Services fixed the fuel filter issue and the air bag light went off before they could get to it. They were honest and told me that no codes appeared for the airbag when they checked it. Very professional very honest.

Reputable business that’s stand behind their brand. Not very easy to find repair service that is honest about their work, but Swedish auto has given me the comfort I need, that once my car is dropped off, their findings is exactly what’s needed. Additionally, I have had a part that failed, and they fight with the manufacture or distributor to ensure malfunction parts are replacement at no additional cost to me. keep up the good service Swedish!

Great place to go if you have a Saab, not many others around. Great service and was very straight forward about what I needed done and they did it very efficiently. Only down side is price but if you own a Saab or Volvo that is something to expect.

I have a 2008 Saab and it was running really bad and had been chewed up by rodents while parked at my ex bosses house. no one has been able to fix it and it was backfiring and running horrible. well took it to them and they fixed what they could on it and when they couldnt fix the rest of it they were kind enough to find someone who works on them and arranged for it to be fixed over at the place they suggested. they then towed it over there at no cost to me and have kept me updated on repairs. these people went far and beyond themselves to help me and my saab. i recommend these folks HIGHLY they are wonderful people and did not try and run up- a big bill without fixing it. thank you guys for taking such good care of an old lady and her dream car. i love all of you. During this pandemic I was asked if I would like my vehicle picked up for service. The gentlemen were pleasant and called me when they were on their way. I was notified on the cost of repairs before a determination was made on whether or not I would have them fix my vehicle. I dont know where to start, so Ill start by saying this was my first time ever taking any of my SAABs to a service facility and I was wondering how nervous I would feel. Well I felt very comfortable in the waiting area as I love SAAB memorabilia and there was enough to keep myself occupied. I was unable to have a spare key duplicated due to a faulty control module. I asked for a written estimate on the job and have started saving my pennies so I can come back soon and have the work completed.The outstanding SAAB Technician went above and beyond by noticing I had a left turn signal issue and easily fixed it for me. I knew it needed to be repaired, but Ive been lazy and never dealt with it.I can tell you right now that this is not an ordinary Automotive Service Facility, Ive work at many and none will give you the attention and care that youll receive here at SWEDISH AUTO SERVICE. I will be back soon and I cant wait to write another review!Very happy, I will be back :)

Follow up to my previous review below:I went back in to have a follow up inspection done on a repair I had previously paid for (at the request of the shop to ensure the work done was still good) and was refused service because of my review. Refused to check their own work that I paid almost a grand for!I find it comical that the owner can reply to other reviews yet cannot reply or return my call.Furthermore, the shop service writer has got to be the most unprofessional individual Ive ever met at a shop. Keep in mind, in my previous profession I strictly dealt with auto repair shops so I have been exposed to dozens of repair shops. To say he is the most unprofessional says a lot. When he refused service to me he couldnt even look me in the eye. He simply waved his hand and said that he was informed to refuse service to me based in my review.Im not sure what to really think at this point other than the owner and his service writer have no morals or sense of how business actually works. No sense of self accountability or integrity as well.If I could give zeros stars I absolutely would. I would encourage anyone with any sense to pick a different repair shop for your needs. I would even consider the dealer at this point since they are overpriced anyway. At least if you take it to the dealer they will treat you with respect and follow up with you.Avoid these guys at all cost!

Moved to Austin a month ago and was recommended to Swedish Auto by a colleague. Brought my truck in because the engine was hesitating. Ive been bringing my wifes Volvo here for the past three years with no regrets. Swedish Auto is now under new ownership and have expanded their service to all makes and models. I brought my Infiniti here last week to replace the front and rear brakes. I was told by Pep Boys that I needed to get new rotors and that they wouldnt be able to shave them down. I decided to get a second opinion and Im glad I did. Swedish Auto literally quoted me $200 less for the same service. I highly recommend checking them out if you need to get any repairs or service with your vehicle.

Steve and the team are wonderful. Ive had a long term electrical issue caused by a different shop and Steve and the team have worked with me for months to identify and resolve every part of the problem. They have been tireless in working to figure out whats happening, while still being careful to only replace parts that indicated failure, instead of taking a shotgun approach. I deeply appreciate the time and effort they have put in each time my car has failed to start. They are a 5 star team.

When your car needs to be fixed or a quick tune up like a oil change, do you cringe thinking is the repair shop I’m taking it to is going to , rip me off, do a poor job or not at all and take forever to get it done.Well not Swedish Auto. I took my Lexus 2005 es350 to get my front and rear rotors done. They were done super quick and much lower cost than others. My car the. started to hesitate while driving and I thought it may be the spark plugs. But I took it in and they diagnosis the issue and it was my ignition coil. They changed it out quickly and the car runs as new.I won’t take my car anywhere else.

As a SAAB owner since the mid 1980s, I have identified and relied on a select group of trusted mechanics to keep my beloved cars running well year after year and long after my friends bought new autos. Swedish Auto is my favorite Austin SAAB mechanic. They treat customers as friends and are honest about which repairs which are necessary and which are optional. They also have been willing to give me “the talk” about when it is time to let a SAAB “go.” I heartily recommend them.

I dont normally leave reviews, but I have to in this case. I took a road trip out from LA to help my sister with her move to Austin. I ended up having engine problems with my Cayenne (probably from the 22 hour drive). Fortunately, this shop was close to her apartment. I ended up having my car towed to there. Initially, I was afraid that I was going to be taken advantage of since I rolled through in a Porsche, but on the on contrary. The team at Swedish are friendly and professional. They helped me repair my car quickly, and made recommendations for items that I could have repaired down the line. Never felt pressure. Wish they were in LA!

We actually moved our car from the Volvo dealership service center to Swedish Auto because the service at Volvo was so poor. Pegah was fantastic. He arranged to have our car towed from Volvo to Swedish Auto and had the car repaired within 24 hours. In striking contrast, our car was stuck at Volvo for over a week with no communication. We will absolutely work with Swedish Auto going forward.

I have a problem with the starter and I took it here for them to do a test. They said that nothing came up in the codes, excuse. Decided to charge me instead $350 to swap a coolant reservoir. I dont recommend this place get a second opinion elsewhere.

***Please read the entire review***I have spent several thousand dollars with this shop for repairs on my Volvo over the past year and a half.  Dont judge me, I love my car!The last two times I have brought it in (Feb/May 2019) I have gotten my car back with scratches on two of the doors.  After the first time in Feb, I called the shop to discuss the issue but never received a call back.  I brought the car back in in May to have some of the repairs done that I had discussed in Feb.  This time, I pointed out the scratches and asked that the technician be careful to not allow this to happen again.  Sure enough, I get the car back with scratches in the same place it was scratched before in addition to scratches on another door that were not there before I dropped it off.When I brought this to the attention of the shop manager, his responses were what concerned me the most.  He replied with, there no way that could have been my guy, our lifts dont come on this part of the car, my guys wouldnt scratch a car on purpose, your car has a lot of miles on it, did you take photos of it before, etc...  There was no ownership of the situation.  In no way would I think someone scratches a car on purpose, I dont care about your lifts, who cares about the miles???  I dropped it off without the scratches and got it back with the scratches, end of story.  Somehow its getting scratched and neither you or I know how but someone does...  I replied that I did not take photos but we looked at it together when I dropped it off and I drive my car all the time.  I know my car better than anyone!  What is the likelihood that it gets scratched in the same exact place?  You could even see where I had buffed out the previous scratches as best I could and how new and fresh the new scratch was.  He replied, I took photos of the whole car after you dropped it off.  I asked to see the pics and after seeing them, the scratch was not there!  I asked about the other scratches and he replied, Oh, I didnt take pics of that.  I asked him to send me the photo so I can speak with the shop owner, he replied that he would...still hasnt sent them even after multiple calls and visits to request the pic via email.  He went on to say that he could just delete the pic.  I was blown away!  He then said that the owner would not do anything anyway.I asked for the owners phone number so I could discuss the situation, he refused to give me his number.  I asked for his email address and he gave me the shops email address.  I asked when the owner would be available and he replied that the owner would return June 9th.  I waited till then and began to drive by looking for the owners red F-150 so I could chat about the situation but its never there.  I asked if I left a message would he reply, he assured me that he would.  NO CALL BACK AT ALL.  To say that Im disgusted with the way this was handled is a massive understatement.I asked to read the entire review so that I can say, the repair work here is fantastic!  They are over-priced, no doubt (parts mark-up about 300% roughly) but the quality of work is great.  I will continue to bring my car here (for now) because I know that my car will run great when I pick it up.The sad fact is that, the owner either doesnt care about the customers, the shop manager doesnt care about the customers, the owner doesnt know whats happening, the shop manager doesnt know how to run a business (he did say that hes a technician and this is the first time hes run a shop rather than just be a technician) or a combination of the three.  My information is in the computer and Im sure they know who I am.  All I want is a call from the owner with a chance to show the owner the scratches and discuss my side of the story.Hopefully, this happens sooner rather than later.

I was very happy with the work done on my SAAB 9-3. They were able to smooth out the engine and get the turbo back online. They worked around my busy schedule and got me back on the road in record time!! I would gladly recommend them.

I have been coming here for my 2004 Saab 9-5 since around 2012. Everyone here has been Grade-A Amazing. Sometimes I have needed to leave my car there for a day or two, but often theyre willing to go take a peek under my hood right there in the parking lot to check something real quick. They have ordered parts for me and on the rare occasions I try to do something myself they have even been willing to work with the parts I had already purchased online, like for my headlights or the plastic clips for the window rollers. They give good advice that I have on occasion verified with the dealership, and they are more than fair with their prices. They have given me many reasons to trust them over the years and I feel very grateful for their expertise and understanding. Kind, ethical folks and way better to work with than the dealership.

When I first brought my car in, the individual I spoke to said their specialist was out of town and couldn’t check my car until 4 days later (1st red flag). Then, I was informed that based on my car’s ‘symptoms’ it would probably be an expensive fix but he wasn’t 100% certain since the specialist was out and he (the specialist) was the only individual knowledgeable enough to provide the diagnostic. Then he proceeds to try to sell me another car they have there (2nd red flag). I still proceed in trusting this place because it was honestly a last resort. When the “specialist” returns, I am magically provided the same expensive estimate I was informed about when I initially dropped off my car. I don’t think it was a coincidence and that this place is potentially running scams and accustomed to handling business this way because I was coaxed to believe they were legitimate but clearly they aren’t. If you’re looking to conduct business with a legitimate, ethical, efficient, and trustworthy company, sadly Swedish Auto Service isn’t the place for you!

I have been trusting the care of my 2013 Volvo XC60 to the Swedish Auto Services team since moving to Austin a couple of years ago. I am able to get on their schedule quickly and am always satisfied with the service I receive..I dont believe the charges have ever exceeded the estimate that I was presented with prior to the commencement of work. I would recommend Swedish Auto Services to anyone ... even my Mom!

Swedish Auto is the only place I trust with my Saab! Ive been going there for years. They are super nice and are great at communicating the status of your repairs.

This place SUCKS .... they mess your car up by not having the right oil plug for your car or truck and tamper with it , so that their plug fits. My suggestion would be to NEVER go to these shops. They deserve minus stars.

Way too pricey and not helpful. A shop with an obvious business model of ripping off people who dont know any better. Called to ask an estimate on replacing a water pump on a Saab 9-3. Was told I couldnt get an estimate till they looked at it. Told me to come by. So I got my coolant leaking car there and THEN they tell me it will be $100 just to get an estimate on the water pump. Got a call back and the estimate was about double of a reasonable price. They wanted close to 300 bucks on top to replace a couple hoses too. Plus, they told me they might break something replacing the pump, so it might be more. Would probably avoid this place if you are any kind of price conscious.
