The car buying process was a lot quicker then my past car buying experiences. Sal, our sales person was very helpful and respectful. I did not feel that I was being pressured during the transaction. Peter, our financial advisor made the contract signing smooth and quick. This was the best experience that I had buying a car.

Charging every single item for diagnosis? That is straight up robbery I will never buy a acura again and once it is fixed I will sell the car asap ok it seems they charged me 155 dollars for only reading the error code it says change the maf sensor and actually it took me less then 5 minutes to replace it with no experience or fancy tools it only needs a screwdriver but it didnt solve the problem I keep reading online and found that it might be a leak in air intake system I checked the hose that goes into air filter and there was a huge crack there so it means that they just read the code and not even open the hood and I waited 2 hours for this check the photos about how they are robbing you.

If you are like me the thought of entering a dealership is the last measure in finding a good used car. Went to David McDavid because they always seemed to have a good selection of Certified cars. Jacob Johnson found me wandering among the cars. Very low key, informative, and a genuinely nice person. We did some negotiating back and forth on the usual trade in issues, and arrived at a price I was happy with. After the sale I brought the car back for a couple of issues all covered by the Certified program. Jacob set the visit up and it went super smooth and took less time than I thought. The dealership is well run and very clean but Jacob was the difference maker in the whole process.

Had to make 2 trips to the dealership as the first trip we could not agree on a out the door price, which resulted in my waking away from their initial offer.Other than that, it went very smooth and the finance office was even able to get me a better interest rate than my previous approval from the local credit union. Would shop this dealer again for my next auto purchase.

Me and my wife was looking for a new car for 3 - 4 months. It was long time to find the right car for my wife. Called many place and they are say they are low on inventory and it will be awhile to arrive from manufacturers like 2 months. We cant wait that long. It was either get the random car that we dont like and they had it there or place a new order which that up to 2 month to build one. Thank god we find Jacod that he able to find a car my wife within reason time frame. Jacod was great person to work with. He was able to find brand new 2021 RDX in white outside at Dallas location. He said it can here in a day. We was shock there was a new car ready to buy. We ask if he can bring it here in Austin, we will buy it now. He got it and we talk it over and we sign the page. He show all details and feature on RDX and my wife love her new car.If anybody need new or use car, my man Jacob will hook you up and take care of you to find your dream car.

The manager Shawn and the sales agent got a deposit for $1000 from me on July 23rd 2021. They said the car will be ready on August 10th. Then they said it wont be ready until September 15th. Now they said, it wont be ready until Nov 15th, and can take 20 days to deliver the car.I asked them if they can refund the money to me so that I can go and buy a car from another dealer. The sale agent TONY and his manager SHAWN were so curt and arrogant and said that it is not refundable and wont even respond to voice mails after voice mails. Until they got the deposit, they would call and follow up every once in 2 days. After the deposit, I have to keep begging them for the money.At this point, I would rather lose my $1000 and buy from elsewhere rather than buying the car from these CHEATS.

This is the worst dealership for customer service Ever!! Today I get a phone call from Lance the service manager stating that the scratch on the drivers side passenger window is not covered by warranty. This is after I brought the issue to Clifton Goldsmith the General Managers attention. I bought this 2018 certified MDX 3 weeks ago. At the time I thought it was gum residue from the window sticker and a poor detailing job. I even called the General Manager Clifton Goldsmith and told him as much. It was only after taking it to Gowash car wash in Bee Cave and the attendant told me that it wasnt gum residue but a scratch. I immediately drove the car to David McDavid and asked to speak to Clifton who looked at it and proclaimed he had never seen anything like it. Took it over to the service department and Lance the service manager said the same thing and took pictures of it. Lance said he would send off to his Acura representative to see what they said. Today Im told Acura doesnt consider it a warranty issue. So my OCD nature saw the scratches on the bumper but missed the scratch in the window tint? I believe their incompetent detail department scratched the tint trying to remove the window sticker and Im being made to suffer for their incompetence. Way to go David McDavid Acura. My lawyer will be in touch.

Very smooth and seamless transaction. Patrick helped us with our 2022 MDX. We ordered it and it was delivered within 10 days. Patrick keeps us informed through the whole process. He let us k ow all the associated costs, had us do an online appraisal of our car and honored the appraisal.The gentleman who helped us with the financing was great as well. Went over all our options and was not high pressured on the add ons.Felt we were treated fair throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend them.

John in sales made the buying experience quick and easy. Even after I changed my mind on financing, he got me in and out quick. Also, there were a few things on the vehicle that needed attention after the sale with which he made sure were/are taken care of. Can’t say enough good things about John. Overall buying experience met or beat my expectations. Did all my looking online first, made an appointment, and they had the car waiting for me to test drive when I arrived(late for our appointment). Very accommodating, no high pressure sales on the floor or in finance. Very good car buying experience, in and out in about 90 minutes.

My husband and I went to David Mcdavid on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 to look at an ILX. We spoke with Caleb Cavazos explaining that we were looking for an ILX with a tech package. After speaking with Caleb, we established that there were not any vehicles that fit that description on the lot. We thanked for his help and stated we were going to check one out at a different dealership.Caleb asked us to wait while he checked with his manager to see if he do a dealer trade with another dealership. Caleb came back stating it would not be an issue at all. Stressing how they do it all the time and it was normal practice. We asked what dealerships they normally work with and Caleb stated all of them.The vehicle and the dealership was agreed upon, a quote was given for our trade, a dealer purchase was created and a deposit was made on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Caleb stated that the vehicle has been reserved and it currently waiting for shipment.My husband went to David Mcdavid to fill out a loan application and to confirm the deposit was accepted on Thursday, July 14, 2021 at 9:30am. Caleb insured that the vehicle was being held again and we should have it by Saturday or Monday to pick up.Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 9:51am, we received the following text, “Jason we had the ILX locked down and transport set up. Gillman still sold it yesterday after telling us we could have it. The next available will be end of August if you can wait and will be a 2022 same discount unless you are willing to switch interior colors.”There was no apologies, there was no how can we make things better…All of this happened because Caleb stopped us from driving to a dealership and buying the vehicle that we wanted so he could try to get a sale. Now the vehicle is gone, there aren’t any in the state that match the description.I just spoke with the dealer where the vehicle was suppose to be held and the salesman and managers state they were never told to hold the car for David Mcdavid.Caleb has now since become dismissive and unable to work with.Use extreme caution and do not trust these people.**Update**Just received a voicemail from the other dealership stating that they are not doing dealer trades due to the resent shortages. This confirms that this entire deal was fabricated.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quick response of the service department. I didn’t have an appointment but had a tire sensor go off so I drove my car up there. They said it was a nail in my tire. They patched the tire up and also checked on another issue. I waited maybe an hour and a half and I was done. I really appreciate the service compared to other dealerships.

The car salesman was nice, but he sold me a used car with damage under the vehicle that they never told me about and it wasn’t in the car fax. They claim they inspect cars but it’s almost comical how they let me drive off in a car with all of the damage it had. Two of the wheels had sharp edges that could burst my tires if I hit a pothole too hard. The damages were about $1800 (I took it to DODGE dealership[way better customer service there])so I wanted to just return the car (this was a week later). I showed up and asked to talk to the USED CAR MANAGER, he proceeded to make me cry by raising his hand at me and telling me to correct my tone (clearly I’m frustrated at this point but still respectful) he also said the question I asked him was “stupid” claiming “you don’t ask questions like that” when I asked if they would actually fix the car correctly (you know since they did such a great job inspecting it). He also threatened that his legal team would blame the damages on me if I fought my case. He has 0 people skills or humanity and all he cares about is money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE BECAUSE NOW IM STUCK WITH A BROKEN USED CAR THAT PROBABLY WONT BE FULLY FIXED :). I spent nearly 30k on a Dodge Charger that had damage that wasn’t reported underneath and damage to the tires. This was supposed to be a great experience because it’s the first car I’ve bought all alone, they turned it into a literal nightmare. The used car manager is horrible. He had 0 sympathy for my situation but I’m supposed to take in consideration that he had a bad day? (Which was later explained to me by the much nicer general manager) Do not trust this place. They don’t do proper inspections!! Thanks David Acura!! Wish I could give this place a 0

I contacted Adrian Duke the moment I knew I was in trouble. He was able to assess my problem over the phone and told me I could come in and they could help me right away. When I got to Acura, I asked Adrian if there was anything else that should be checked and besides the Multi-Point Inspection, he verified when I might need an oil change. The reason I continue to own an Acura is because I know I can depend on Adrian Duke to take care of me.

Great experience at David McDavid dealership and David Chessmore - my service advisor. David was very professional but did not push or sell. Drove 2 hours to them for a safety recall and left thinking I will return and use them for any needed repairs in the future. They did a thorough exam of my vehicle and gave me a video of each highlighted item that I might want to consider repairing. Even prioritized the list. But did not push or insist I use them. And they washed and vacuumed my car. I was very impressed!

Horrible customer service. I took my 2020 MDX to the service department due to multiple codes saying the vehicles braking system, adaptive cruise system, lane mitigation system, were all failing. BRAKES! They said cant duplicate it, cant help you. I explained that I do not feel safe due to the BRAKES failing code, they said dont worry about it. I advised how I am not supposed to worry about a warning saying the brakes on a 7k pound projectile are failing. I was completely dismissed by the service department. I have pictures of the codes, which have gone off 8-times in the 8-months Ive had the vehicle, he wouldnt even look at them.I asked to see the GM, the sales manager took my info, I NEVER GOT A CALL!

I spent close to $100 for an interior cleaning and it most definitely wasn’t worth it. I dropped my car off at 8am and was told it’d take about 3 hours. I didn’t receive a call until close to 4pm, saying my car was ready for pick up. At first glance, I noticed they didn’t clean in between my seat belts at the back. I still had chocolate stains. After fully looking at my car, they didn’t clean under my seats and they also didn’t clean the cup holders in my back seat.

Disappointed with customer service. Course they are terrific before and while buying a vehicle but after sale theyre customer service skills disappear. Treat you like a bum on the street. Inquired about a vehicle. Set an appt to look at it 2 days later and vehicle was not ready. Couldnt even locate it. Said they had sold it, but in fact it was lost in the mix and was there. Bought it and was promised next day it would be ready. After broken promises and 4 days later I got it. But still hadnt been completed so was told to bring it back for easy touch up paint. (Was a used MDX) but absolutely beautiful.) Again took it back and left it there 9 hrs. Was never touched and was told to bring it back AGAIN. very frustrating when I have to work 6 days a week. 1 month later was completed. But communication and customer service skills really need attention.......

I drove my RDX to the dealer for both fuel pump motor safety and MOST bus network recalls. Meanwhile, there was rubbing noise when opening the rear hatch. Adrian was the Service Adviser to greet me. He paid heed to the issues raised by me with patience and courtesy which impressed me tremendously. I was happy with the works except Most bus network was still outstanding due to unavailability of the spare part.

Unbelievably bad experience with David McDavid Acura Service department. Left my car there (two different times for the same issue), first time was told they could not find the issue even though there was a big red indicator on the dashboard. Second time my car was kept for 5 or 6 days, multiple parts to be replaced, only to be returned the car with the EXACT same issue I took it in for. Service manager told me the repair was beyond their ability/understanding of Acura car systems. Mind you my car is not brand new and a mid range model. Now I am left with an unreliable car, needing to either find another dealer/warranty approved shop or sell my car with a clear defect present even though the whole thing is 100% covered under the extended warranty. The service advisor, Adrian, deserves five stars for his professionalism and customer service. The bad part of the experience was the manager’s disrespectful communication style with the staff, including reprimanding an employee for incomplete daily tasks in front of their peers and the waiting room full of customers. I was there for two hours (the expected time for the service) and left agitated from being in the hostile employee environment. The location is super convenient, the vehicle service was excellent, and I do not know if I’ll return.

I have been taking my 14 year old car here for major service for a while now. Each time, they have provided a loaner, kept me in the loop with repair status, and gone above and beyond what I expected from a service shop. David took care of all my questions and concerns, and my mechanic was very knowledgeable about my car. The icing on the cake of my last visit was making suggestions for parts I can replace myself to make my car last another 200,000 miles.

Disappointed with the service department. I recently purchased a brand new vehicle and the alignment was out due to the delivery inspection of the vehicle being poorly done. I brought the vehicle in the following day and the service advisor said his boss would not cover it under warranty. I literally just bought this vehicle less then 24 hrs ago and I was given a hard time about getting a warranty alignment!! They perfomed an alignment inspection in the service drive to verify it was out and it was! I was told they could get it done but they were unsure of the warranty. I waited an hour and the advisor came to me and said they got it done and he would cover it but its not something they usually do… Like you guys don’t usually do your job??? RIDICULOUS!!

This is the kind of car dealer they warn you about!! Would never buy a car or get a car serviced here! They lied to my face throughout the selling process and then changed their story as soon as I bought the car. Beware!I test drove a used car here and decided to negotiate on the phone. After I agreed to a price, they rushed in paperwork and once I saw the car again it had a several new issues that were not there during test drive (not in any of the pictures). They broke the windshield of the car, broke the passenger side mirror, and stained the leather in the passenger seat, then lied to me and said that they would have someone come to fix it. They then told me that the car was missing a set of keys and that they’d send the other set of keys. Month later and bow they said that they won’t and they were just “keeping fingers crossed”.Avoid at all costs!

We bought a truck and it broke 2 weeks after our purchase. We are very lucky that we did not DIE or KILL another family in this truck that we bought from David Mc David Acura. My husband lost control when the bracket that holds the differential broke!! He almost went head-on with another car, thank God the lady was able to move out of the way since my husband was unable to control the truck. It makes me so upset that we are dealing with this when we purchased specifically from a supposedly reputable dealership. We took the truck in to get an estimate to see how much it would cost to repair and the guy said the truck had been welded before where it broke off. This is something that the dealership should have seen since they supposedly inspect their vehicles. We were basically told oh well you bought it as is.The general manager, Clifton Goldsmith did not even make time for us after waiting over an hour to talk to him. He is the one who made the call not to help out with the cost of repair. Its a BROKEN truck! A broken truck could have caused a BIG ACCIDENT on the road. Something that this dealership could of easily take responsibility for missing such a dangerous defect. Instead, they just washed their hands. Just to think that we drove in that UNSAFE truck with my two little kids makes me very mad. By the way, the seat belts were not even bolted down!JUST HORRIBLE!

This was absolutely, the best car buying experience ever! From the Gm Clifton calling me the next morning after an online inquiry to Adam my personal salesman after we started discussing the process. I brought my car in on 02/26/21. My push button start was not working properly. I was told the diagnostic test cost $140.00. However if the test came back without finding anything, I would not be charged. The test did not find anything. Turns out my battery cable was loose. I was still charged 123.20. I feel I was over charged for what was a very simple fix for a car I purchased from your dealership and is still under an extended warranty.

From the first conversation Adam was awesome. Excellent product knowledge, communication and trustworthy. The whole experience at the dealership with everyone I interacted with was great. I’d been shopping around quite a bit and had not experienced this level of customer service. When I came to pick my car up, Thomas ran me through everything again and got me leaving feeling very happy and confident with my purchase. The car is awesome.
