Absolutely poor patient care! I scheduled 2 months out for a new consultation only to get a call a week before my exam to be told I have to cancel my appointment. No attempt to re-schedule me to a reasonable date or on another provider. I would have to wait another month. I work in healthcare and this is not how to deel with this. I made sacrifices and changed my work schedule, moving my patients I see, to an earlier date, so I could attend this visit in the middle of the day. I understand things come up and schedule change but don’t make me wait another month.

I chose this eye care center because it was close to my house and has good reviews. I am so disappointed. I had an annual eye exam and a contact lens fitting. I had to come back for the contact lens fitting because my brand had to be ordered, and waited an hour and a half without seeing the doctor or being given an estimate of when I would. I had to reschedule and on the third visit, I had to wait over half an hour to see the doctor. Also, I have vision insurance and they still mistakenly sent me a bill for$275 and when I called about it they said it was a mistake. Thats an expensive mistake! Horrible customer service.

This place needs to evaluate their service. I had an appt at 2:15 (which had been rescheduled by them) and I was not seen by the doctor until almost 4. Very frustrating experience.

No pain with much vision to gain. I would do the procedure again with Dr. Burcham.

I did register a quiet strong complaint about the appointment scheduling. I have been a client for many years of this practice. Otherwise this was a surprisingly pleasant experience. Better than previous annual visits. Dr Burcrham actually acted like he knew me and was warm whereas in the past he acted rather cold. I know this person does a lot of charitable work overseas in the vision Arena to help. So i believe he is a good physician. But this was my experience yesterday 9-24-20.

They are very good and Know what they are doing. I take my eyesight very seriously and i love how they answer all my questions and explain everything they need to do to get me the best results. I really LOVE THEM. They have been so polite to me ever time I have a visit with then, 4 years and counting. I wont go any where else.

Greeted when arrived. No waiting time. Taken into exam room almost immediately. All staff very friendly and professional. Exam results discussed I was directed to further procedures appropriately. Ronna Gould

The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Burcham was very kind. He took a lot of time examining my husband’s eyes, asking a lot of questions, and determining the best treatment plan for him. Even though it was a very busy day for him, he did not rush. He took the time to explain everything and to make sure my husband’s questions were answered and that he was comfortable with the treatment plan. We are both thankful that we got into him!

If you have some one coming and for some reason cant make it on time try to be flexible not say like yesterdayOh no problem you already waited 30 days how about other 30 days to reschedule. Our health is not 30 days of waiting. If I feel good I dont need appointment. And you want to know what happened in next day waw why not the same day or follow up.I would not recommend people to call your office.Good luck to improve

There was a little wait but I didnt fill out my paperwork first. But the day before I got all my questions answered about insurance and every question answered about my eyes. The doc was well informed and above all patient with my ignorance. It was all in all a very good visit.

I got the wrong prescription. Totally. Completely the wrong axis number (52 as opposed to 116 - not a small or even understandable error). I spent 6 weeks trying to get glasses made through an online company and I kept thinking they were made wrong. By the time I figured it out, Id had to visit 3 different brick and mortar stores to examine the different glasses made for me, plus deal with an online company multiple times, do 2 separate returns and 3 different orders. This company will only now offer me a store credit. What did the doctor say when I finally traced all my problems back to this office? These things happen. Rarely, but they do. No apology. None. That was it as far as an admission, plus he did write my error on the prescription, but thats not an apology. I was stunned.I was pleased they were able to squeeze me in for the recheck where they did confirm the prescription was totally wrong, but since I had to pay $30 of my own money for a non-covered test, the hours and money and time I have spent because of the doctors error is enormous and is just salt in the wound.On top of that, while I was waiting, one of the people who worked in the office said she thought COVID was real but it was really overblown. This was not in the beginning of March...this was at the end of October. REALLY? Im a bit horrified to think these same people are responsible for the necessary cleaning between patients, or any other safety protocols.One last thing that may be a positive or negative for you and I offer it for informational purposes only - This is a very religious office, which is a little off-putting (or traumatizing, if youve had horrible religious experiences) for some but could be seen as a huge draw to others...Bibles on the end tables, etc. Im just stating this so others can know, if that is something they would find upsetting, or particularly helpful.tl;dr: Got wrong prescription, no apology, office staff thinks COVID is overblown, very overtly religious practice

This is a relatively small practice, which is one of the many things I love about them. Dr Takara is so personable and cheerful yet professional. Shes explains things in a way anyone can understand.They also have the most up-to-date equipment; highly quality professional grade. My visits there are fast and thorough and the girls up front take good care of me. And I cant forget the very knowledgeable tech, Bob!

I had no been to the eye doctor for four years. They welcomed me back and were very thorough and thoughtful in the exam. I was very happy to learn that my eyes were well and no change from last exam. They did a great job! Thank you very much!

Dr. Burchum is very professional and is very calm in his presentation of taking care of his patients. Bob was professional as well. The office and staff have improved a lot since last year when all of his “regulars” left. Good job!!!

This place is awful. They sent my father to collections even though we called multiple times and willingly gave our card information to pay 1 bill from 1 year ago. It is ridiculous what reception staff they have or if they are even working at all. They also didnt have his correct address on file and couldnt figure out how to fill out their side of the paperwork.

Exceptional professionalism and friendly environment. They took the time to explain all of the examination procedures. Burcham provides outstanding services form the exam to frame selection. They offer a wide variety of affordable frames and lenses.

Went in for an eye exam and to get a eyeglass prescription. Staff was very nice and professional. Both my doctor and the technician explained everything that was done. Very satisfied with my visit.

Two years ago I had my cataract removed and an artificial lens put in. I went back and had an artificial lens put in my other eye everything went fine. Developed a film over one of the lenses. They removed it with in three days of it being discovered. Yesterday I took my 15 year old in for years we have been told how bad her eyes are and we have had to pay for expensive glasses. Found out yesterday she doesnt have that bad of vision. Thanks to Dr Takara. Thank you!!!

Billing was able to resolve the concern that I had however it went on for too long and it happened more than once. This is why I would rather go somewhere else for my care than to go through this once again. However provider is very pleasant as well the person who handles billing.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Burcham and from check in to check out the process was very smooth and professional. Ive had my fair share of eye docs across 4 different states. Dr. Burcham and his staff were able to dial in my prescription sharper than anyone before. They also discovered a distortion in my cornea that other doctors had simply waved off as a nerve defect. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SUPPORT STAFF,BOB behind front desk has a terrible attitude , He would not fill out the paperwork for our insurance company properly. We ended up paying out of pocket $300 because the pharmacy helped and let us have it prior to approval, This is for my 92 year old mother who called them for over a month in an attempt to get the eye drops that they had prescribed. She contacted the office numerous times with no return calls.When I drove to the office in an attempt to solve the problem Bob told me he was very busy and may not be able to call the pharmacy in the next four hours. He already had over a month to solve the problem.We will not return. Read the other one stars they are about poor service from staff

Upon entering the office, I was very pleased with the aesthetic appeal of the waiting area. It was very tidy and the office overall appeared very organized. This was where my positive experience ended.The woman at the front desk was very rude, not making eye contact with me and simply advising me to sign in. She handed me a clipboard with paperwork, again, not bothering to make eye contact and told me to fill it out.When booking my appointment, I was given the website and told to print and fill out the paperwork if I could before my visit, which was exactly what I did. I mentioned having the filled out paperwork to which she rolled her eyes and grabbed the clipboard back.Prior to scheduling my appointment, I ensured they accepted both of my insurances. I made it very clear that I had a primary and secondary insurance.My actual visit with the doctor was fantastic. Her eye exam was thorough and she addresses any concern or question I had.After my visit, I was told I was responsible for a copay. Knowing this should not have been the case, I questioned why I was being billed if my secondary insurance had not yet been billed for he visit. One of the women at the front desk, immediately got defensive and begin speaking to me condescendingly. She repeated the same thing over and over, saying it a bit slower each time. She asked her billing person to clarify what she was telling me, although I was never able to speak to said billing person myself.I took my script and will be seeking my eyeglasses elsewhere.I do not recommend this location at all.

Dont trust them with your eye health. They are great at disseminating glasses and contacts, but with regard to anything truly medical about your eyes they are clueless. They misdiagnose by simply guessing, state that it will go away, and delay referrals to experts. Their treatment of my family member was negligent at best. Avoid!

My appt was at 10am. I didnt see the Doctor between 11:20 and 11:30am. When I got to see Doctor Burcham, he came in just started talking, then stated Oh Im Doctor Burcham, shook my hand then proceeded about my situation.The scheduler was nice, but talked really fast, I felt like I was being rushed through the whole process.There was hardly any eye contact.

Extremely disappointed in the service. Eye check up two weeks ago required a new contact prescription....paid for but NEVER ordered, and they cannot explain the problem. Burcham Eyecare use to be my go to place, now considering dropping them in favor of a new location!

I had lasik with Dr. Burcham last year and I am so happy with the results. Its so nice to be able to see all the time. The staff is amazing and warm as soon as you walk through the door. I would definitely recommended them for all of your eye care needs.

As a new patient I was provided excellent eye care management by Dr. Takara and her technician Bob. They were both highly skilled in their respective roles, friendly and caring.

Dr Burcham listened to my report of eye illness and explained the problem and my expected recovery. He gave me a prescription that comforted and calmed my symptoms. He explained my need to have patience since my eyes will take several weeks to heal. Great experience!!

Great experience here. Caring friendly staff, was able to get an appointment on the day and time that I needed.

Terrible experience. Had an appointment went and needed to make a follow up one. They wrote me a card with 2pm. Showed up at 1:55 they said I was late and the appointment was at 1:30. Since it was their mistake they got me in. Then I was told I would need to go to another specialist. They would fax over the information to the other office. When I didnt hear from the new specialist I called and they never received the information. I had to call and ask for them to fax it again. Still dont hear anything. So finally I just made a new appointment on my own without the information. Because apparently they cant figure out how to fax.

Nice people. Will be going to them again for exams etc.

I choose this eye doctor for my husband based on location and Google reviews. He has gone back 3 times to get the right contacts, twice they didnt schedule his appt in the computer and were puzzled when he showed up with an appt card written by the scheduler. He has spent more time in the waiting room than with the eye doctor. They also couldnt calculate the cost of contacts after reviewing his benefits multiple times. This place doesnt have their act together, go somewhere else!!!

I was a patient of Dr Emilys- my original exam which was inaccurate and impersonal.Her bedside manner is that of a rushed individual that just wants to get you in and out.Maybe because I have VSP and they look down on that insurance; I dont know. Her first diagnosis for my contacts was horrible-I knew immediatey-called the next day-she didnt even reexamine me-she left a different right contact with the front desk.Still wasnt much better. Very impersonal-and to be honest, definitely not a shining star. Her diagnosis was bogus.I should have known the second I walked in the office-A young man was so frustrated with the staff he was screaming and yelling and not one person came up front to see what was going on.......very poor, unprofessional people. People will get wise to them after a while-I have been telling everyone that will listen that they are quite awful-and I shall continue to as long as that group of clowns is practicing.
