I had new glass installed which cracked within one week!!!!!! I needed a new screen on my iPhone 7 because I did drop it. My fault. Exactly 7 days after the new install I was shocked to see a cracked screen when I pulled my phone out of my front pocket. I have always kept my phone in the same pocket for years. I have never broken a screen. Surely this must have happened because of an inferior product or poor replacement. The three young guys behind the counter all had the same response. “The best we can do is give you a discount on a new one” Why would I buy a new one if it might crack and I would have to purchase yet another one!!! They did not even check to see if perhaps they made a mistake installing or the screen was defective. They must be using cheap inferior replacement parts. I would never recommend this sketchy place

Used them for a battery repair on my phone and it was excellent. Went back there today because I saw an expanding crack on what I thought was my cell phone screen. The gentleman looked at it and said it was not the screen, rather the protector for the screen so I was good to go. I truly appreciate businesses that dont try to sell you something that is not needed. Highly recommend this place!!!!

I had a cracked glass LCD screen on my Google Pixel 2 XL. The phone is a bit old now, but they had the screen in stock. I was happy with the reviews I saw, so I took it in. The experience was great: gave them my phone, they said come back in 2 hours, and they called me 30 minutes early to come pick it up. They even provided a free 30 day warranty. 10/10 would return and recommend.

I went in the other day to get my phone screen replaced my phone came in with no problem working perfectly all it had was a cracked screen. They called my dad about an hour after we dropped it off asking if my finger print scanner was working before and of course it was before, but now it isn’t working at all they couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working so all they did was offer 10 dollars off. I was fine with it because I am getting a new phone soon but I wanted to trade this one in. I’m disappointed because it wasn’t just the fingerprint scanner that wasn’t working the whole home button is messed up, it is so difficult but to press and most of the time won’t register that I’m pressing it. Also one thing I discovered today what they didn’t put the right type of screen on. I left with more problems then I came with. I am very disappointed.

Made my daughter phone worse I would not recommend. We went in with a small cracked screen and the iPhone button stopped working after they replaced the screen. The screen also stopped working an d would only work for a short time after we forced it to restart. We were trading in phones to get new ones that why we were getting it fixed. Should have just traded the cracked screen at least we would have gotten half the trade in value.The owner called me and apologized for the issues and offered to try and fix the issue. I dont have the phone anymore, so he offered to fix any future phones that break for free.

My little 6 yrs old threw a pillow and popped and cracked screen on my 14 yrs old IPhone XR. It was maybe 1 hour till closing time when I panicky called Mr.Gadget and they told me to get there. They were super nice and actually able to give me better price than originally asked for to fix it. If I had cash I could have avoided taxes but I didnt. Nonetheless I stuck around in nearby popular Park and Shop grocery store and recived a phone call 30 minutes before previously arranged time to come get the phone.Great experience. We got a screen protector for free.

My husband and I had purchased liquid screen protectors for our phones that seemed complicated to put on by ourselves.We took it to Dr Gadget and they took care of it.Their service was quick and their work is flawless. Fantastic Service, Great Results . Brought in a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 12 pro. Both fixed in 1/2 hour. Even gave me a break on price since one repair was so quick (minor soldering). Friendly, attentive and well informed. Explained possible problems, cost estimates. Popped a new battery in the 10 and heat soldered the charging connector on the 12. Tested both while on premise. Walked away feeling confident problem was addressed. Rare that I find that level of customer service and feel better walking out, than when walking in.7/4/2021Another quick in and out service repair to get my Note 10 plus back to normal after the charging port started detecting moisture. Had that fixed in no time and while they fixing that, had them replaced the battery as well. Working and lasting like a brand new phone.

I went there after being recommended by a nearby T-mobile store. I had a IPhone X that had a bad screen or possibly a bad battery. Anyways, the phone is worth very little if it won’t turn on. I brought it there and Chris fixed it in 1hr at a good price. I was pretty impressed by the speed, quality and price. I was able to get max trade-in value after the repair and I netted out much better in my situation. Was offered $230 for the phone at Verizon (current carrier) if it won’t turn on. Was given $700 for the phone by T-mobile after he fixed it.Thanks Chris!

All three locations... Naperville, Aurora, and Oswego are clean, fantastically priced, and have amazing employees with easy to get along with personalities. They also have services up to and including venturing out to your neck of the woods so you don’t have to go out if you don’t want to. I just brought 3 iPhones for them to work on to the Aurora location. They finished working on all 3 phones within the hour. The customer service was superb and for those concerned about masks and safety during these times masks were worn at all times and the floor has markers for people to stand six feet behind each other...one line so you’re not right next to each other since corona travels in all directions. All in all I would give more than 5 stars if possible. Not a single negative aspect about any location.

I have been here twice for my iPhone! First time: my charging port was fried! Took it in and they fixed it fast! They also told me my battery was draining fast and showed me how to help improve the battery life! Gave me a price, an ETA to be done. Process was smooth!Second time I came was today! I came in because my screen was black! I can hear my notifications coming in so I knew my phone was still somewhat alive! Came in he took a look at it said he can fix it! I was expecting to be told itll be ready for pickup tomorrow- or Monday----As I walked in a little before 5:30pm (closes @6pm) but he said he was staying a little late and he was willing to fix it. Sure enough! I came back around 6:10 and it was fixed! Had a screen protector thrown in at no additional costs! They are super great to work with! Prices are reasonable and definitely get the job done! I havent had an issue with my charging port and Im confident that my screen will be fine!

Called today after my iPhone XS Max died. It had no power and would not take a charge. Went to the Verizon store where they told me there is nothing that could be done. My son dropped his E-Learning Chromebook and damaged it, I took it to Dr. Gadget in Aurora to be looked at they fixed it in 25-30 mins tops. They informed me of a Dr. Gadget Mobile service starting at the end of the month where they make home trips, with me having smaller children this is a perfect idea.

Upon him applying my case he also took it upon himself to put a protective case over my cracked screen so my children wouldn’t cut their fingers when they have my phone! I was a little skeptical at first, but these guys were incredible. My wife dropped her iPhone screen-down on concrete. It was so smashed, you could see through to the inside of the phone. I talked to Apple, Best Buy, and Verizon, and they all said it wasn’t fixable. Then I took it here, and they had it all fixed and looking like brand new in about an hour. And all for cheaper than just a screen replacement would have been anywhere else. I can’t thank them enough.

On Saturday I dropped my phone, Samsung Galaxy S6, in a pail of water while I was gardening. I brought my phone in to Dr. Gadget, and they did a water damage repair, and it is good as new!!!! These young men know what they are doing--and theyre nice about it! I would highly recommend them for any phone or tablet problem that you may have.

Took my wifes phone in for a battery replacement in late November. In the beginning of January, the phone would die immediately after being taken off the charger. Even though I was out of warranty (30 days) Chris agreed to talk to the owner about waiving the fee - without me even prompting. The battery was replaced the next day when they received their daily shipment. Good service.

Should have done this review a few months ago when I received great service by Dr. Gadget. My cell phone screen was not working. I researched the potential screen repair price, and then went to Dr. Gadget. I was given a good price estimate compared to my research, and approved the repair. When I came back to pick up my phone after the repair, I was told that the necessary repair was less serious than anticipated, and the cost would be $100 less than anticipated. Honesty is the best policy, and I and family members will be back if we ever need cell phone repair again!

I went in into the store last Friday to have a component replaced on my laptop and I had bought the component online. I had previously attempted asking other repair places in the area and some either said they wouldnt do it because I was bringing my own part or they were just asking for an obscene price for the job. As soon as I walked into Dr. Gadget I was immediately greeted by the staff and I explained the situation. They offered me a very reasonable offer, agreed to use the part I brought in, and told me I could even wait because it wouldnt take long, other places told me it would take a few days and that was difficult because it was my work laptop. They conducted themselves very professionally and their level of skill was incredibly impressive. They explained the process to me so that I knew what to expect, I honestly feel very confident in their work and will most definitely bring my future business to them as well as any referrals. Went in to repair a Samsung Galaxy S10e. While they didnt have the parts, they ordered them on Black Friday. Received the parts on that following Monday and was fixed that same day. Highly recommend and will definitely be back if I ever need something fixed again!

Brought in my Note 4 because it would keep restarting on me even when the battery was fully charged. I have never had such a flawless interaction with a business, they were patient and understanding and fully prepared to do whatever it took to fix my phone as they noticed it had sentimental value to me. Mo the owner assisted me when he could have just as easily handed it off to one of his employees. I felt important and that my problem was taken to heart as if it was Mos. He took care of me within a timely manner and when I went back he has my phone up and running with a complimentary screen protector. So very helpful and honest. I mysteriously lost the back of my phone and case over night and they had various spair parts for my LG G4 and got me on my way for $10. I will certainly tell everyone I know to bring their service needs here. Very reasonable price for repairs. I asked about a new piece of glass over my camera and they explained the small scratches doesnt effect my photo quality and would be wasting my $30.They still have cases and screen protectors for my old unit too. Ill probably upgrade my phone next month and they were helpful with suggestions on Galaxy S8 vs LG G6. They recommend the S8, unless I can wait for the next Note. He loved his Note 7 and never saw issues with them.Edit: I have purchased the LG G6 and the camera lens cover mysteriously got a crack in it. The got the part in a couple days and had me on my way pronto. These two brothers do a remarkable job of making sure their customers are happy.

I brought my phone here to get fixed 3 months ago and some of the features stop working about 2 months after I took it to sprint and they opened the iPhone and noticed that it wasn’t the original iPhone glass and that there were 2 screws missing from the screen I was worried about taking it back in thinking that they would say the warranty was over months ago and that there was nothing they could do but to my surprise the owner apologized and assured me that he would figure out what was going on with the phone he was a little surprised that it was missing 2 screws and mentioned that who ever worked on my phone that day may not have known how to put it back together which irritated me a little because if you aren’t 100% sure in your work then I would rather you tell me so I could avoid future problems with the phone. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to figure out the problem even though I’m sure he tried his hardest so I have to buy a new phone but he did promise me some free iPhone accessories for the inconvenience overall my experience here was so so yes they have great custom service and they really listen to what you have to say so they can figure it out but the one thing I would recommend is to make sure that all of the employees working on the phones there are actually capable of doing the job and if not ask for help during their learning process. I’ll definitely be back if I break another screen because the prices were reasonable but I will definitely double check to make sure I have all of the pieces under the screen.

Never take your phone here. My dad cracked his iPhone 8 screen two weeks ago. I called them and see if they would replace it. The person that answered the phone told me to hold on so he can ask the owner if they had the parts. He told me to bring it in and they have the parts for it. He said it was $140 which was fine. Took in the phone. Left it there for few hours to replace the screen. Went back to get the phone with my husband and he looked at the screen and told them that’s not an iPhone 8 screen. The screen is bulging out and the screen is not cleared. The person there said no no it’s the right screen. We knew it wasn’t. It was our fault for taking it there so we paid them n left. My dad lives in New York and he was visiting us for the holidays. He went back to New York last week. He just called me to tell me his touch screen is not working. Now he has to take it to the Apple store and he would have to pay another $150 to get the actual 8 screen.

My first time ever writing a review. These guys know what they are doing. But the best part is, they are very honest. I had my daughters iPhone screen fixed a few weeks ago, and though they did a great job, that is not why I am leaving this review. A few days ago, I went back because my tablet had charging issues. They could have charged me a lot of money to replace a battery and charging port in the tablet. But after running diagnostics, they informed me that it was in fact in a perfect condition, and I was using a bad charging cord. I would have never guessed this since I was using an original charging cord that does not have any physical damage. Instead of paying them over $100, I walked out with a new cord for MUCH less. They will be getting my business in the future, along with everyone else I know that may need their services down the road. Keep it up guys.

Dr. Gadget was able to repair my iPhone for less than a quarter of the cost of what Apple was going to charge me. If only I knew about this place sooner; I could have saved so much money over the years. I went to the shop near the Best Buy off of 59 and they were very friendly and timely.

Took my phone in to get a crack fixed. 30 minutes later the phone looked brand new and for much cheaper than I thought. Verizon was going to charge me $150. For $30 the phone was fixed and I was on my way. Plus I am always happy to help any veteran owned business. I will definitely be recommending the shop to all my friends in need of a repair.

I brought my sons IPad Mini in to have the glass fixed. They replaced it in under 24 hrs and when we came to pick it up they let us make sure everything worked on it before even leaving the store. I cracked a screen and these guys did an amazing job replacing it for a great price. Within 90 days it malfunctioned and I took it in where the team went above, beyond, and exceptionally gave THE best customer service I have seen in a very , very long time. I was unable to pick it up around closing time and these guys stretched their schedule to accommodate me. Their reviews on social media are great, but their level of customer service is phenomenal ! I wish them the best of success!

I had searched many places to get quotes, and was glad to find Dr. Gadget. They returned my device looking brand new in no time and I am really happy with the service. This place is amazing, service is really great! they attend the customer as their top priority. I have had a screen protector for my iPhone 6s Plus I was having trouble installing myself and decided to give them a call to see if they can help me which they did. In less than 10 minutes the phone was ready. Very friendly people! 10/10 would recommend.
