Went in to get my septum with a few friends. when getting the piercing, it hurt really bad. like so bad. the piercing was extremely low, and out of obvious concern i went to a different place because of how bad it was. turns out, bri (the piercer) went STRAIGHT through my nose cartilage. not even close to touching the actual part where your septum is supposed to go. out of curiousity my other friends wanted to make sure their piercing was in the right place. they weren’t! although closer to the actual spot they were still touching cartilage. don’t go here.

I called inquiring about a walk in and explained that while I had gotten one half of a tattoo done (two separate dates), I hadnt gotten the other half. I had a stencil and everything. Joel was very professional about getting me in and out quickly while still doing a fantastic job, and he even touched up the first half that I had gotten years ago, all of this at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place to others and I will be coming back!

I went to get a tattoo with my boyfriend. We went in as walk ins. We both got our tattoos done by James. And his work is amazing. Not only is he very professional and kind. He takes his work serious and takes pride in it as well. He is very experienced and you can tell by his tattoo quality. He was very patient with regards of our tattoo size and answered all of our questions. This is by far my favorite tattoo. I would definitely recommend getting your tattoo here. We will be definitely going back.

My friend and I came in to get a couple of piercings this weekend. Bri was amazing! We were really nervous and werent sure what to get done at first. She helped us decide on our daith and helix piercings and did a great job of easing our anxiety! Our piercings turned out fabulous and everyone else in the shop was really nice. This is definetly our go to place now.

I came into the shop yesterday as a walk-in to get the “Christina” piercing and I didn’t have to wait long at all. I believe it was actually one of the tattoo artists who pierced me because he was the only one willing to do it!! Thank you so much!! The whole process went very quick, professional, and made me feel confident and comfortable. I know it has to be awkward to pierce a random woman’s vagina, but I seriously am so grateful that my piercer kept it cool, calm, and professional!!! It looks great, I am hardly feeling any pain today at all. Thank you again!!

The establishment is amazing do not get me wrong. The piercer in the shop who goes by Bri, is terrible. She is very unsanitary and unprofessional. I watched her give my friend a piercing on a Saturday. One that generally should not hurt, and she had my friend in tears and my friend pain tolerance is very high. The after care instructions were total trash we knew from experience of having so many piercings. My friend also took that piercing out because as we suspected it was done wrong. I do not recommend anyone to go to her and I also feel she should be fired and not have anyone else go through this.

I came back into the shop a few days after getting my piercing because I was having trouble with it. Javi was great! He was able to get me in, switch out my jewelry give me the appropriate aftercare information and had me on my way. Javi was very professional and helpful. I’ll have to come back and see him for my next piercing.

Overall this was a great experience I was looking for a piercing tech last minute and they were able to get me in and get my nose pierced for amazing price in comparison to a lot of other places that we’re going to make me wait!!

I was able to get the consultation and tattoo appt booked within about 4 days of each other which was fantastic turnaround. Im extremely happy with my tattoos and theyre probably my favorite pieces now. Definitely found my new artist here in Denver!

I got my ears pierced about a week ago. I had to change the jewelry because I’m scheduled for surgery. After connecting with Javi on instagram he was able to answer all of my questions and he saw me a lot faster than I expected, he changed my piercings with very good attention to detail, he explained the mistakes made by my previous artist. All in all I would definitely see him for whatever i do in the future.

Javi was great, he has a very gentle hand. I got my septum and my mom got an industrial. Quick and easy with the good kind of pain. 💙

This place has good artists but they lack good service!!!! I had a tattoo cover up done and I even tipped the guy for doing good! He said I can get a retouch for free no problem.... well most of the ink kind of came off even though I took care of it. I try reaching out to the artist, which his name is Steve Smith, but just leaves me on seen and doesn’t reply. This is an unprofessional store and I’m not sure if it’s just that certain artist that sucks but just putting that out there.

GreatHANDS DOWN the best shop in aurora . I got my family crest on the outside of my arm and Antonio the dude from Bolivia did it and the color is really bright and vibrant and hes fun to chat with. He has ranked number two in Bolivia county competitions and conventions . Their piercer is also one of the top ranked in Denver. Every artist there has a lot of talent and experience Id recommend it fo4$urr

I came here a few months ago to get a very simple tattoo. Unfortunately the artist, Steve I believe, rushed through my tattoo entirely. I’m now having to go get a touch up because he rushed through the lines so there are empty spaces in between them. Would have just gone somewhere that would have done it right the first time and save myself some money.

My brother and I went here for our first tattoos back in November. I came in with a drawing I made the night before and the next day we had an appointment. Javi and Steve made us feel welcome from the start. Before we showed up Steve was already working on my tattoo design for the stencil. He came out made sure everything was right for my liking and explained how it would come out and if something wasnt exactly how I designed it before. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time. He talked to me through out the tattoo and so did Javi. Even when my parents left to get dinner, they made sure I felt as comfortable as could be, showing me their tattoos and or just talking to me about life and my design. He was so open to doing my mental health piece and even asked me questions about it. Overall this tattoo has made me feel whole and I couldnt ask for a better one. Steve walked me through step by step on the healing process and it was a great process overall. He told us that if anything fades or scabs away during the healing process to come back in a month for a free touch up. After months of having this tattoo, I have no complaints, it didnt fade and the line work is amazing and it was everything I wanted in my first tattoo. Highly recommend Steve and the shop as a whole. Will definitely be my first option for any other tattoos to get.

The service here was very poor, I used a coupon, buy any burger and get one for $1.00 and both burgers were raw on the inside. There was water all over the floor and my 2 year old slipped in it. I told them the floor was wet and nobody even attempted to mop it up

Javi has done a few of my piercings and I’ve got to say dude is great. He’s gentle and very knowledgeable on his work. You can tell it’s more of an art form then just a piercing. He will be my to go piercer moving forward and I highly recommend him! The shop as a whole has great vibes and is very clean. If you’re nervous about getting a piercing I’d say the ora in this shop helps to calm your nerves!

Tattoo artist I did consult with did not seem knowledgeable or confident about capabilities regarding type of tattoo I wanted. Quoted me twice the price other tattoo shops had quoted me. Other patrons and professionals gave me a lot of side eye/it didnt feel welcoming.

I absolutely loved this place when Kristen used to work here , she was literally amazing because of her I got all my piercings here & recommended so many people here ❤ ! But recently there has been pour customer service and unprofessionalism from Javi . If you messed up a previous piercing you should not make the customer feel like it was theyre fault. Understanding that some are more experienced than others , still communication goes a long way , but there was about little to none! Very disappointed ! Did not feel welcomed at all!

Told me to wash with soap and messed with nose in harsh way after piercing

I got my industrial piercing done over a month ago and noticed a few weeks after that there were bumps starting to form. Javi pierced my ear and recommended an aspirin rinse treatment. I tried that but the bumps got worse. Had another piercer take a look and said it had to be taken out due to the placement of the piercing. Ended up taking the bar out and my ear is healing great with the bumps going away as well. Tried to message Electric Crayon to see if we would be able to resolve the issue, but I never got a message back either. Very disappointed since I usually go to Johnny to get tattoos done.

Javi the Piercer is the coolest dude ever. He is patient kind and professional. He takes his time makes sure the placement is where you desire. The best part of him is that he’s doing this cause he likes it not just because it’s how he gets paid. If you want a passionate person who knows what they are doing and is trust worthy you should come here.

We brought in a picture of what we wanted. What he did, looks nothing like the photo.It didn’t quite look right and I should have spoken up. He said he couldn’t make it smaller, but I think he could have, keeping the numbers the same size. The picture on the left is the photo we brought in, the picture on the right is what was done.Very disappointed. Also, the placement is not right. Its not supposed to be on the creases of the wrist, its supposed to be above the creases. The person who put the same tattoo on my son,placed it above the creases and it looks fine. If I could just move it up an inch, maybe I wouldnt be so upset, but of course I cant.

Today, I went in to get a tattoo and Steve refused to do my tattoo.In depth, I made an appointment for 7/17 at 5pm. On the day of the appointment, I went in the shop and waited 15 minutes to find out that Steve was not in the shop due to a finger injury. Not a big deal at all. I understand that emergencies come up. I was a bit disappointed in how they communicated this with me because all I received was a missed call, 30 minutes prior to the appointment. I called the number right back, but no one answered, so I thought it was a spam call. There was no text message nor a voice message. I was told that the shop tried calling me a couple of times, but my phone records show otherwise.I had to reschedule the appointment for 7/20 at 6 pm. I went in at 5:40 to start the paper work, as I respect the artists time and wanted to make sure I was ready to go on time. I waited until 6:25 pm for Steve to start sketching my tattoo. Again, I didnt mind at all. I had previously gone in to the shop to explain to Steve the tattoo that I wanted and made a deposit when he agreed to do the tattoo for me. I respect that he has a busy schedule and understand that appointments can last longer. At 6:38 pm, he had finished my drawing. I had three minor changes that I wanted to make (more on this later). Was it wrong of me to ask the artist for minor changes on a drawing that will permanently be on my body? He then reached in his pocket and returned my $50 deposit. He told me that his next appointment was waiting and told me that I will never like the tattoo he draws. I guess small tattoos arent worth the time and money. I am truly disappointed. My two friends got their first tattoo with Steve and I believed that Steve was truly caring about his work and his clients. These same friends were with me when this happened, and they were all disappointed in how we were treated.The pictures show the small minor changes that I asked for. The print out is what Steve originally created on the computer. The hand drawn picture is what he drew for his second sketch. The first 2 requests I had were to decrease the size of the paw and move it over towards the right. He proceeded to hand draw his second sketch after these two requests. After looking at the hand drawn sketch, I asked if he could make sure that the paw is centered to the stethoscope. I didnt even ask him to draw another sketch. You can clearly see the white background/square around the paw. He could have easily made these minor adjustments quickly on the computer. He wasted a couple hours out of my day (days...!), but he couldnt spend a few minutes to create a sketch that I was comfortable with.Why would you schedule appointments with so little time frame in between, if you, the artist cannot understand that some appointments will last longer than expected? I, the customer, was able to understand that appointments may get backed up at a tattoo shop, but I dont think Steve understood this. I believe that valuing your customers time and opinion is an important center of focus as a tattoo artist. I respected Steves time, but Steve clearly did not respect my time. This is my 7th tattoo and I have never been so disappointed and felt disrespected.I ended up going to another tattoo shop this same day and the artist there quickly made the sketch in one go. He even took the time to fix the ECG to look like actual heart beats. After the sketch and paperwork, my tattoo took 30 minutes to finish.Steve canceled my first appointment, started the first sketch 25 minutes after the scheduled time, discriminated me for asking for small minor changes, was upset at me for being backed up, and made his own judgement about what I was thinking about his drawing. I am very disappointed. We all have bad days and maybe this was the case on this day. However, I hope that this is an experience no other customer will have to go through. Please be professional. There are many tattoo artists with amazing skills, but manners reflect how passionate they are about each, individual tattoo. I wish him well.

I went in and the piercer pierced my labret off center.

My usual piercing shop was closed at the time, so I decided to try Electric Crayon! My cousin also recommended me to come here. The piercer who works there, Javi, is INCREDIBLY kind. Despite the many times I’ve gotten a piercing, I still get nervous anyways, and he really calmed me down. Really really recommend coming here if you’re a first timer for piercings! Javi pierced my nose, and it looked amazing. They have music playing all the time and great art on the walls, so the environment is perfect. Highly HIGHLY recommend!

I got my ears pierced (four lobe piercings) here a little over a month ago. I was having a lot of issues with my piercings being infected and painful, and when I reached out they never responded. The piercer was awesome, I passed out while he was working on me and he was so gentle (I wish I could remember his name but he was the dreadlocked dude with a ton of cool tattoos, a veteran I think. He rocks.). But the tattoo artists werent wearing masks and there were quite a few of them in there. I think that should be a requirement for a place that involves open skin and bodily fluids during a pandemic but thats just me.

I asked them to do a piece for me and it took over a day until they responded very short with me and then didnt respond for another day telling me I need to make appointment before they will draw... okay I would have loved to but the fact that they didnt communicate and it took 2 and a half days for them to tell me I need to make an appointment when I asked the first time what needs to happen. They dont seem to take their job seriously at all which is shame because i was planning on having 12 other friends come by and get a piece done for a late friend, but we will be taking business elsewhere as they dont seem to care to much about customer satisfaction

Took my daughter to get a nose piercing. While there, I looked through several books. I liked Steves style. I asked him to draw something up for a small cover up. I specifically showed him his own book with the style I wanted (realistic black and grey). He traced my existing tattoo and asked for $50 deposit. I waited 3 weeks and never heard anything, so I called the shop. I also text him several times.He ended up texting me a picture in traditional style. When I mentioned the owl in his book, he said he cant do that style for my cover up...then why did you say yes and take my money?I instead asked for an entirely new tattoo and design. That was 12/22/2018. I never received a new drawing or anything. Here we are in June 2019 and I am looking for another shop.If you dont want to do the tattoo, just say no and dont waste my time.

This is, and always will be, my go to place to get piercings. Staff is super friendly and experienced. It May be hard to catch them occasionally, but trust me it is worth waiting a day or two for this awesome staff. I have never had a bad experience here. Everything is always done quickly, patiently, and exactly how I want it to look with minimal pain. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

None of them wore masks, very unprofessional with shoddy line work. Only thing that MIGHT be good there is the piercings, but their jewelery isnt of good quality either.

Met with Steve Smith for a special, simple tattoo. My experience was excellent. Steve was cordial, knowledgeable, and obviously a talented tattoo artist. I was fully satisfied with the experience and his work. Moreover, the conversation that we had during the tattooing process was genuinely refreshing. This is a great tattoo shop with some awesome artists. I wont go anywhere else ever again. The artists really take there time to create something that you are gonna want on your body forever. I would recommend that if you plan on going you make an appointment as they do get busy.

I got my first tattoo there almost 5 years ago. At the time I thought it was well done, until I went to a different shop... firstly the guy there used a stick deodorant on my arm directly that he used on EVERY OTHER CLIENT. He had a very heavy hand, and the entire tattoo is a patch of rough, bumpy scar tissue. My friend at the time had 1 huge piece that had absolutely 0 scaring, but the small piece that this artist did on her also turned out very raised and scarred after healing.Currently none of my other tattoos are like this, theyre all smooth and have never irritated me. I use unscented lotions still as well as a cream my husband and son both use for eczema.Wish I could remember the name of the artist, but I hope he found another passion.On a positive I had my nose pierced there 5 years ago as well and the piercer was absolutely fantastic! 10/10 would recommend whoever she was.

I got my noes pierced by Javi today and its absolutely perfect. It looks great and was done super quick. It didnt hurt at all and i havent had any swelling. Price was great super clean shop, and all the people were really friendly!!

I went to Electric Crayon Tattoo Co. for my nose piercing a couple years ago. I was super nervous cause a lady that pierced me in a shop in Lakewood did a horrible job, and left me traumatized. Long story short I was supposed to be pierced by a gal at Electric Crayon, but turns out she was busy at the moment so luckily I got the chance to meet an awesome guy named Javi ! He was Apprenticing at the time and for some reason his vibe came off super comfortable and professional and I just knew I was in great hands . My nose healed amazing an I can take my ring out without worrying about it closing on me. I recently visited Javi again to do my Medusa and let me tell you he once again KILLED IT ! Javi is beyond professional and so light handed. Very sterilized and very knowledgeable about what he is doing. The staff is beyond amazing at this location EVERYONE needs to check them out !!!!!!

I got a piercing and a small tattoo from this shop, and both turned out wonderfully. The piercer was extremely friendly, and the overall experience was relaxing and quick. She took care of me when I bled a lot, and the piercing is healing extremely well. The tattoo came out just as I wanted it, and he was very kind and considerate. This was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing!

This place is great. Its clean, professional and the staff is friendly. Zach explained everything he did and triple checked my design to make sure I was getting what I wanted. He made sure I know everything was sterile and clean. He was friendly and talkative while he worked. He went over the take home instructions in detailed and encouraged me to call if I had any questions or concerns. This is my first tattoo but I felt very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Not on time.Not professional.Over priced.Came to Colorado from Oregon to visit my best friend. She scheduled the appointment ONE MONTH in advance. We got there 30 minutes early, our appointment was at noon. Steve, the artist, didnt even remember what we were getitng and still had to draw it up. Its past 1pm at this point and hes finally ready to get his station setup. He has an intern with him helping set up, which made it take longer. Totally understandable. My best friend and I were so excited to be able to be next to each other while getting matching tattoo and watch it happen. But because of Covid-19 we werent able to be in the same area while getting tattoo. Completely understandable. ALTHOUGH the tattoo artist, the intern, the piercer and my best friend could all be in the same room. But I couldnt watch this once in a life experience. Doesnt seem very fair or with the Covid-19 guidelines to me.ALSO over priced.. 4 in by 4 in square and only 4 hours of work for both; $300 each. Steve obviously only cares about money.I do love my tattoo because I got a matching one with my best friend but Steve has a very heavy hand and forgot some of then lines in the tattoo. I didnt notice itll the next day. I maybe a protectionist, but I wouldnt recommend this shop for tattoos. When I return to Oregon Ill be getting it touched up by someone else.

Went in for sister tattoos. Didnt have an appointment but was seen within 30 minutes or so. Denis did an amazing job on our stick figures! Very fun and relaxed atmosphere! In the same visit Kristen pierced my daughters ears. She made my daughter feel so comfortable.

Awesome! I went for my first tattoo today. Dennis was so very nice and engaging. I was very nervous walking in the door but the minute he spoke I felt calmed. I will definitely be going back to Dennis for more! It looks awesome and he made a perfect replica of my dogs paw print who passed away.

Took my daughter in for her first tattoo and Steve took really good care of her. He gave her the exact design and location for her memory tattoo. The following week her sister got the matching half. I was nervous about my 16 year old getting such a permanent thing but with him stating that he didn’t do any tattoos below the elbow for younger clients and encouraging her to get her piece on her shoulder blade we were both extremely happy. I would recommend the shop and Steve especially!!! His way with younger clients is a true selling point as he truly has both parties in mind with his ideas and willingness to assist with a compromise everyone is happy with.

This place is a joke. Dont know how to tattoo, piercing are very dirty and the tattoo they did got infected. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING ELSE WHERE!! This place rips you the hell off and destroys your body and expects you to pay them for it. Ridiculous

I had two tattoos done in the same day. One by Steven Jr. He did a fantastic job! And one by Steven. Quick, clean and the amount of detail is incredible. Everyone is professional and know what they are doing. I will be recommending them to everyone I know, and when I am in town again, I look forward to getting new ink!

Great for tattoos, a bunch of very talented artists. I personally go to Piper but Steve does amazing work also. Would not recommend this place for piercings as the piercer doesnt seem to follow her own schedule. Ended up going somewhere else after trying four different times to catch her.

Absolutely amazing. Johnny B is phenomenal, professional and knew exactly what I wanted. The only place Ill go from now on.

Awesome Shop! Well worth the hour drive. Zach did a custom Liberty Bell. Turned out BETTER than what I hoped for. Will be back next week for the second of many to come. Thanks guys, you rock!

Got my first tattoo here! The staff was professional and skillful. My tattoo artist took note of what I was wanting and enhanced the final drawing. I couldnt be more pleased! I definitely recommend this place and the artist (Steve Smith) that did my tattoo..

The piercer was amazing. I was terrified and he talked me through it and made the whole experience so much easier. 10/10 would recommend!

Terrible tattoos and very low concern for public safety. Is it just me or should you be wearing masks when working with open wounds during a pandemic?

After unexpected countless visits, without enough notice Electric Crayon is distinguishably a top notch tattoo shop, atmosphere and all. As far as Artist go Johnny B is Top self going boss in the ink game. Customs, creativity, cover ups, and everything else... His Line work is beyond most others including dept. Best way to experience EC is to call to set up an apt, if you really about your ink or body art.

Called on a Saturday night right before closing, and got an appointment with Steve. Met him and got started on my lower back cover up. He was AWESOME!! He laughed and joked with me so I wasnt thinking about the pain, and it was over in a flash. The conversation was fun, friendly, and just what I needed at the time. The price was just as awesome. The shop was super clean, and everyone was super nice. Steve did exactly, and beyond what I imagined, and I only had an idea of what I wanted. I can not say enough about it. Perfect, awesome, excellent, and more. I will be going back for all my cover ups, and every new tatt I get. THANKS AGAIN STEVE...

It was amazing, the place was very clean and everyone was welcoming. It was my first tattoo and Denis did an amazing job making it look so realistic and helping me to make an awesome design.

Just was there and stood around for 30 min looking at every book and idea in shop, not a single person said hi (at least 5 employees). We were simply wanting to schedule an appointment for a tattoo and find out the cost. Will take our business elsewhere!!
