BEST MOVERS EVER!!!!!!!! I am in the process of a long distance move and I took time out just to write this review of how great I really think these guys are! They moved my heavy boxes like they were full of feathers and in RECORD time. They were so fast and worked like a well oiled machine, each guy doing their part. The guy in the truck who stacked the boxes was an expert and made everything fit like a puzzle, it was amazing. We thought they would be there all day and they moved everything out in less than 4 hours. I just wanted to express my gratitude to what I thought was a REALLY great group of guys who were funny, caring, and made me feel at ease like I had known them forever. I can only give them 5 stars but if I could give them 10 STARS I would!!! Im also not a big reviewer, I never write reviews, but this group of guys was so awesome I had to share!!! :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND Allens Transfer & Storage. TWO THUMBS UP. Broke a lot if stuff, we only moved 6 miles, I have had military moves from Germany, Georgia, El Paso Maine and this was the worse move ever!!!!

Called and the woman said that she would hold it I had medical issues in which went I to an emergency and when I called she gave it away and not caring.. very cold and rude

Initially I was excited to put the contents of my house into climate controlled storage. I had pipes burst in my house and bit by bit as the insurance company dragged its feet and more pipes burst Allens came and put my life into storage. Everything was good until the 4 older men got to my library. I have 5,000 volumes and they were treated with zero care. When I tried to explain to the packers the care some of these books needed (some books are over 200 years old) I was ignored and told to mind my business. After dealing with the insurance company and repairs to my house I finally had to get my stuff out of storage. I could not afford the $2,800 they wanted to return my items so I hired 2 fellow combat veterans to move my stuff back to the house. I put 6 vaults in storage but only got 5 back. On the paperwork my names was spelled 4 different ways with 3 different names that were close but not correct. I have furniture damages, missing stereo and TV, missing 750 books, another 250 books were damaged with ripped and broken spines, I had a set of 24 settings of blue stoneware... I got 8 out of 24 plates, 6 out of 24 salad plates 2 out of 24 coffee cups and no saucers for the blue stoneware... My grandmothers Ruby Crown Set fared worse, of any 18 settings collection 12 plates, 7 glasses, cake plate, 3 bowls were broken, when they came out of the boxes, a broken dinning room table, 3 of the 8 dinning room chairs were broken from how they were forced in to a vault, missing kitchen mixer, missing cuisinart, broken microwave, refrigerator does not make ice, the stove had a broken door, and the capper, I was given a Maytag dishwasher when I own all whirlpool appliances. When I tried to discuss what was missing and damaged with the front office staff I was asked well what do you expect when you hire children to move you? The two combat veterans I hired were 35 and 42 highly decorated and African American. I hired them because I am a disabled combat veterans. The office staff refuses to discuss the situation with me and claim they have returned everything. If you need long term storage get a indoor self storage place. They are not worth the hassle the time or the money.

My experience with Allen S has been terrible. We moved from Maine to Florida and they did most of the packing and kept our stuff in the storage until we could find a home in FL. When we did, they made us wait for weeks before we could have our moving delivered, as they were always waiting for other stuff to fill the truck. So, we had to live in our new house with almost nothing!The worst part came when we received our goods. Many things were broken, some damaged, others completely destroyed. It was clearly the result of a bad job in packing and a worst one in storing and moving our stuff. It looked like they didnt care of what they were handling.When I complained with them it was even worst. The manager was unfriendly, rough, and not willing to help a customer who had been treated so badly.I didnt want to purchase an insurance with them as I already had a home owners insurance that gives me some kind of protection, but this shouldnt mean that they were allowed to make such a mess.Really, a terrible service.If moving from Maine, do yourself a favor: look somewhere else!

From beginning to end they were great to work with. I found them easy to correspond with, with any questions I had. The guys who moved us were polite and professional. They were in and out in less time than I thought they would be. They were on time. I would highly recommend using them.

I see the other two reviews had problems, but I didnt. Everything arrived in excellent condition, even some very delicate figurines. The workers were excellent and the work was done in excellent time. All items were packed in more than enough packing paper. I guess if I had anything bad to say it would be in trying to find everything after unpacking the boxes. Example - the hardware for my computer desk, was in a different box than the other desk parts. Other than that, I had no complaints.

Its a shame that people that chose to save on cost and pack their own belongs may not understand the concept of packing boxes correctly. Typically, when boxes are crushed it is because there is too much space in the box / not enough packing paper to fill in the empty areas, which is why they collapse.

Years ago, this company moved our company people all over the US from construction job site to job site! I have used them several times since for local moves and more recent when I was moving some items from FL to ME. They met me at my fathers house in FL, packed up the items and dropped them off to my house in ME! No issues and on time at both ends! Thanks!

The unloaders were professional however whoever packed the semi-truck was not. Damaged my luggage. Damaged boxes. Ill let pictures speak for themselves. Would you trust a moving company who stacks fragile boxes on the bottom with a 50lb compressor on top? Still waiting to hear back from them concerning the matter which was reported to them by email and phone on 8/19/16.

I should have stopped the move the moment they showed up, but you put your trust in people that they will do the right thing! Stuff thrown in boxes, furniture taken apart with pieces left behind. My items were placed in storage so the savy movers knew enough to conceal the damage from me rather than being up front and honest. I contacted the main dispatch about the unproffesional packing and pieces parts from who knows what left behind. I also tried to contact my salesman Jon Carr who was on vacation at the time. Just fill out a damage form you will be all set with the extra insurance you purchased. Claims denied. I have never been so upset with a company and people in general. If I can get one person not to use them then I feel like the 5 minutes to write my review was worth it. Thank you.

If there was no star they would get it. They moved two truckloads of my belongings. They mixed food with clothes, they pilled heavy things on delicates, they destroyed my appliances and then wouldnt let me put in an insurance claim because I wasnt the one who arranged it, my assistant did. They packed a 200lbs marble statue in a cardboard box with no handles! They were told to pack all the delicates in the original boxes which they were given but chose to use cheap paper and piled the delicates in huge boxes crushing everything and then leaving the original boxes in big plastic bags empty! They pig piled everything in two storage units so when I got there and repacked things it all fit easily in one unit. Truly the worst company I have every dealt with and I have moved from Europe before now and was never this upset. It was devastating!Since first writing this I hadnt gone through all my things. I have since found empty boxes that once held family silver, dishes not wrapped and now broken (they were just stacked), porcelain lamps with twisted lampshades due to poor packing. The list is endless. They deny all responsibility because they did what they were told, whatever that means. I told them my collectables had individual boxes and they sent the empty boxes in giant plastic bags! Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with.

These people are criminals. Do not trust anything they say to you let alone trust them with your possessions. This company, by far, was the worst moving company I have ever had to deal with. Do not give them your business - you will regret it if you do.
