I went to Staples for inkjet cartridges. I was pleased to find a guidebook which listed ink compatible with my ancient printer with SKU numbers. My first choice was sold out but helpful sales worker suggested a substitution that will work. Price was competitive with other local stores and item was in stock. Over all a pleasant hassle free experience.

I recently went to this store to look at a particular ink for my Canon printer. I found the product I was looking for and proceeded to checkout. Once I arrived at the checkout lane is when I started experiencing issues. The person working the register immediately asked for my Staples Rewards phone number and started by giving the area code as he waited for me to complete the number. I told him I wasnt part of the rewards program. He told me he could sign me up for it, and I indicated I was all set with that. I told him, quite simply, I just want to buy my ink. He then asked if I wanted to sign up for some ink recycling program to get discounts on future ink purchases. Once again, I told him I was all set and just wanted to purchase my ink. At this point he seemed to grow frustrated with my response, similar to how I felt thus far. After this second rejection, he stated that I must have a job where I have to do certain things as well, even if I dont want to. This was delivered in a manner not consistent with providing customer service, but in a way that gave evidence to his frustration with me. At this point, I told him I was done with my purchase. I left the item with him and immediately left the store. I would strongly encourage this location, and Staples in general, to reassess what customer service means to them. If a customer says they dont want something, dont push it. Dont try to sell them on some program. I know what I need or want. I dont need the company or associates telling me otherwise. Needless to say, they didnt make a sale, and honestly, they may have lost a customer entirely. I was most displeased with this experience and I suspect anyone else in the same position would feel no differently. They need to look into their practices a bit to ensure ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE in the future, not a facsimile thereof!

I dont reccomend shopping here because the prices are outrageous, they charged me 2 $15 dollar fees on the $99 dollar chair I bought bringing the total to about $130, customer service not helpful, the store in lewiston is way better

WORST!!!! customer service Ive experienced, dropped off packages last week, with Christmas presents and no one knows where they went and was told they don’t keep track of when picks up are done.. ! Definitely will not be doing business here and will not be recommending to anyone at all!.... Post office knows nothing of packages, cause someone here did not do their job correctly and effectively....

This is an amazing office store. It is the only one in the area, since the Auburn Office Max closed. They seem to always be in stock of most items. The service is wonderful and the employees are amazing. Their rewards program has saved me hundreds. I always price match with their 110% guarantee.

Completely poor experience. A woman that appeared to be the manager is completely rude and should not be management. Has ZERO customer service skills. Was combative through the whole conversation. We came into the store at 10 of 7 and she was at the door. We asked are you closing and she said no. So we went in to get some supplies. As I was walking around about 15 minutes later she walked up to me and rudely says the store is closed you need go pay for your items. OK, so tried to find my friend. Walked by the front as she glares at me. Found my friend as she comes back and repeats the same to her. Mind u my friend has a cart FULL and is still in need of supplies. In which the girl responds WE ARE CLOSED she also threw in there they were closing due to lack of customers...... um, what were we?

Had an appointment at Best Buy geek Squad at 7pm on Thursday to fix an iPhone cracked screen. Went to drop off phone because we were vacationing and the Best Buy said I had to show up at 7pm to do a bunch of paperwork, could not drop off and the guy said it was apples fault. Really!Any case I said fine and that I would go next door to Staples. Well what a great group of sales persons and the store manager Pam, great customer service. Outstanding! She not only accommodated me and fixed my phone but did a fantastic job. Also they had a 15% promotion. Pam and Matt, if we’re in the Navy, would get a Bravo Zulu for a job well done.Will never trust Best Buy and never use the geek squad. I have been working on computers for more than those guys have been alive and they talk down to you like you don’t know what your talking about. No wonder they are facing bankruptcy. Best Buy you could learn something from the Staples staff. They have my business whenever I need a phone repair.Again thanks Pam and keep up the good work you have great people at your store.Dave from Chicago.

This store has all of the services a small business needs, but sometimes at a much higher retail price than other office supply stores. HOWEVER, let me give you a work of advice: NEVER purchase a computer from this company or the Augusta, ME store. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I purchased a laptop computer that was on the expensive side because I needed a reliable computer for a home business and a class I teach. The first warning that I should have asked for my money back was when the computer person couldnt make backup files for the computer. Another computer taken from the shelf (the same exact computer) was switched out with the original laptop and, again, the computer person couldnt make the backup files. I should have DEMANDED my money back and gone to Best Buy. I was given the computer under the impression everything was fine. I get home and work with the computer for approximately six months and one day I notice my Microsoft Word is gone! GONE! Maybe I hit a button, but Ive had computers in the past and never had anything wiped off my computer. I called Staples, but because they have nothing to do with the computer files, they tell me they cannot help me or give me advice. I attempt to do a systems restore, but I cant because the computer person didnt back up or give me the files! I feel the computer people do not have adequate knowledge of installing and backing up files, nor do they have the customers best interest. I will be going to Best Buy for all of my computer needs and the other office supply store. I cannot believe that a store can conscientiously sell a customer an item that wasnt set up correctly and tell the customer it was done correctly.

Great service at Augusta, Me. Staples. Nate Alexander in the copy & print section was very professional, knowledgeable and patient with customers, even though he was extremely busy. I will certainly go there again. Such a different experience than Brunswick Me. Store. I went there 3 times for the same job. Was told each time something was not working .( email was down, color printer was down) and just overall I dont care attitude from the staff that I spoke with. Wow, it was amazing. They need to take social skill lessons from Nate !

I have always been treated well here and I have bought many items over the past years. The price is always good and the service has always been sufficient. In todays empty store retail store cut the labor costs environment this store still tries to function and it does a good job.

Find somewhere else to fax from. The store charges a premium per-page long distance rate for toll free faxes, which is expensive, but so be it. However, they sent a multi-page fax one page at a time, each page as a separate transaction, leading to no end of headaches when the recipient did not receive the pages together. High-priced amateur hour. When I raised the issue, I was told it would be fine, with the staff declining to resend properly.

Every time I have had architectural prints sent electronically and I go to pickup, there is ALWAYS an issue. Most times they missed a page printing or they print duplicates and charge me for them-something I had realized after I had gotten home. Another time I sent the file, they hadnt printed it before they closed-every closing time they wipe their computers-the next day no one knew anything about it. They constantly are having employees rotate thru their print marketing center and everyone is clueless. It’s quite bad. For me to consider spending $4k on a printer to avoid the staples nightmare, that is unfortunate.

Watched a slob of a manager down a employee for asking a valid question. The girl looked fairly new and he was explaining their printer or something behind their cashier/service desk and she asked him if paper was the same and he looked her in the eyes and began telling her stop playing dumb and how she was playing dumb. Really. This is how managers work? Very unprofessional. There are so many types of paper and to treat someone like that is so unprofessional as a manager.

We were blown away with the exceptional customer service we received on sat 3/10/18!!!! I had an appt with Best Buy geek squad to replace my iPhone 6 battery. When got there, I found out I had to leave my phone for 2 days. I was not comfortable leaving my phone for 2 days but it needed to be fixed. After we dropped it off with Best Buy my husband suggested we check with staples to see if they do it as well. My husband needed a new battery in his phone too although with his job he could not leave it for 2 days. We walked in to staples and immediately were greeted by Sarah. She was so helpful and kind and we were told it would be 1 hour for both phone batteries to be replaced. Needless to say I ran next door got my phone and money back from Best Buy and gave staples the business for both of our replacement batteries. I/we have never been happier. The knowledge Sarah shared with us on laptops, phones and everything technical was so helpful. She was so kind as well. I really can’t say one bad thing about the store. I’m only frustrated that I didn’t go to staples first! Thank you to everyone in that store but especially to Sarah!!! Adam to for entertaining my husband on the ‘left handed pen’ conversation. The phones are perfect and we will use the Augusta, Maine staples for any tech issues and for supplies. Thank you thank you!!! I hope this store is able to receive kudos from corporate on their customer service! They truly deserve it!

BAD is how I describe my experience. They charged over $2.00 per page to fax a standard 8 1/2 x 11 sheet - self service with no cover sheet.They also have rip-off corporate policy relative to where the fax was sent. It costs more to send a fax out of state than local. I assume that means here in the State of Maine, but I didnt read the fine print about what qualified as local.

The staff at printing and copying were very pleasant, and, I think, knowledgeable. They are very understaffed and couldnt keep up with the traffic. The biggest problem is that they have third world quality wifi. I couldnt send them a document from my laptop using the wifi in their office area! Finally, we realized that the wifi on the sidewalk was better. I got the document to them, but then they couldnt send it to their printer. This was like dealing with dial up internet 15 years ago. They need an upgrade. I spent more than an hour trying to get 15 copies of one page. I finally left with no copies.
