This place I used to think very highly of. It was clean, the manager had a heart and worked with families. Now they are absolutely without any doubt heartless. Ruthless ppl. They will not get a higher management team member to call you back. The place is disgusting. They call to remind you your late and there is a late fee but never speak of the preforclosure fee they tack on when you attempt to pay it. An then they don’t let you pay it down. You have to do it all in one lump sum. Or you lose everything. Even during a pandemic. Worthless. An when your stuff even gets stolen from you in their parking lot as you are putting stuff in your storage they don’t have insurance good enough offered to where it is covered.

If I could give a no stars I would...when I rented the storage less than a month ago I gave 5 stars because the guy that rented me the storage was very polite and told me all the info I needed or so I thought..but I went to get my some of my stuff out and got it in my car I seen roaches crawling in my car..disqusting!! So I took pictures which doesnt do very much good...I only had clothes, sheets and papers...my sons school papers from school I have been saving for the last couple of years! But that was my inportant stuff so when I just went back today to get the rest I told him Im not putting stuff with roaches in my car he then told me sorry the dumpster is full so I have to clean it out or pay for another month..so I go in there and I come across my sons school papers in a box and it is full of roaches!! The guy is down at my storage by this point and I show him all the roaches long story short he then threw away what i wasnt taking because of the roach infestation and said yeah they like damp paper well it wasnt damp when I put it in here and its my fault bc no ac in the storage believe me if he would have told me I would have to through away half my belongings or have roaches when I rented the storage I would have made better choices where I put my stuff bc now I have lost all my sons school papers that I cant get back😠😠😠😤😤😤

John, the manager, is great! Very professional, fast and courteous and does everything he can to help you.Extra Space website pricing was the usual deceptiveness like all other storage places. Extra $20 a month in unmentioned fees. Still a good overall price compared to other nearby places.

Convenient/ pricey

The manager and team at the Auburndale facility are friendly, engaging, available, and really made us feel like they exercised maximum flexibility to help us get into, and then out of, our storage unit. The prices are great and the facility is clean and extremely well lit at night.

A+ service. Only wish they had more people. Seems like all times I went there was just the manager and most of the time he was swamped! He was real patient though, even with my husband who had a million questions. Glad we chose to come here. Nice, clean, and they had cameras. I like that it was secured like that. Paid rent of 112.00 per month for year, they had my phone number, I had everything from tools, go cart, furniture and everything in between! I have been very sick, just got a pacemaker and thought my things were safe! Go to get a tool out in the 10 th month of paying these people on time to find my unit filled with rodent droppings on everything, my furniture was chewed on, they tried to tell me that somebody moved in with food and gave me a number for some insurance company, the worst part was the pictures I lost of my son that died in 1997, being immune compromised, my Doctors advised not getting near anything that had been in shed ever as rodents carry some kind of disease that affect your lungs and I probably could not fight off disease, so total loss! Some things you can’t replace with money, your dead child’s pics and your Health! I have had to pay twice for someone to go out and take pics, for the insurance company to get them to pay a claim, which was a minimal amount compared to content, and of course my dead sons pics cannot ever be replaced! When I complained the first time, they told me they were aware *someone* had moved in with food that brought rats?? At this time they threw a rat bait bag, I have a pic, into my shed and I have pics of the unit with about 20 dead rats in it! If that’s the case why don’t they call you to give you a chance to retrieve your belongings?? I thought they exterminated and my stuff was safe, but it’s not!! My heart is broken! I had an exterminator friend go look at the unit and he said, judging by the number of dead rats, the entire complex is probably infested with rodents! Please do not rent from them if you don’t want your possessions ruined! My heart is broken, I asked to be refunded my money for paying them to ruin my things and they said no!! No, don’t rent from them your things are not safe! And they don’t call when they know they have a problem! Extremely heartbroken and disappointed! Go somewhere else and read the fine print!

Clean. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Beware of hidden prices though. Website & outside sign advertise first month free. My unit was $50 per month. I was informed that special was unavailable due to them being over 80% booked but I would get half off. Not sure where that fine print was. I ended up paying $87. There is A administrative fee of $24, $17 for a lock,& and mandatory insurance. (due to Irma I couldnt get insurance anywhere else). I recommend trying to insure your items on your own as the facility charges approximately double what you would pay elsewhere.

Is great, but the customer service is sub par. What makes it worse is that we had a storage unit here, but the auto pay wasnt working. This was not brought to our attention by the staff or company, so they sold our unit. Really sly and sneaky. We will not trust this company again.

So far my experience with this facility and the staff has been above my expectations. The facility is secured with a gate and monitored with many cctv cameras. The prices they offer are competitive with these type of storage units. The climate controlled unit which Im currently renting is pefect for my needs. The staff are friendly and make sure that you know exactly what it is youll be paying for. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs a little, or a lot, of extra space to store their belongings.

I got a great price at Extra Space Storage today. They provided great customer service and the employee was very helpful showing us around the facilities. They are clean, well kept and have surveillance. They have a move in special of $20 dollars if you refer to the online add, have insurance and write a review on Google. If not it is still affordable, you will have to purchase your own lock if you dont post a Google review and your own insurance, which will both run you you around $15 a piece. Monthly rates are competitive and very reasonable as well. Easy to get to if you live near Auburndale or Winter Haven and live close to 92. Much easier than using a U-Haul office and they are well integrated with the online world. Look into Extra Space Storage if you need space in a hurry, they made it very easy for my family!

This storage facility is convenient, accessible, affordable and clean. Staff has been patient and kind. I didnt feel like I was rushed and ever question I had was answered.

I have not done business there. I only dropped off a friend. However it looks very clean.

They have great hours, and easy access to US 92. Rates are reasonable, and they have plenty of options to fit your storage needs. If you have any problems all you need to do is talk to Brian. I had an issue with a mistake in the system. I only had to tell Brian my issue once, and later the same day, Brian calls telling me issue was fixed.

I have nothing but positive to say about my experience in renting a space at Extra Space Storage at 1012 US Hwy 92 West. John was very cordial and polite upon my arrival and was very clear and precise with his explanations to the service in which they provide. I would recommend to anyone in using Extra Space Storage. They are all you would expect...and then some!

They have a huge RAT problem! My unit was destroyed and most of my things were damaged. Do yourself a favor and find a better priced, clean facility because this one isn’t it! I’m NOT happy.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! We’ve used this location a few times temporarily while we were trying to sell our home. Stored items here to de-clutter our home for showings.The manager, John is very professional and efficient. Usually sets us up in 15min or less. Units are clean and well managed. Security is awesome, I feel safe here. Gated entry, access ends at 10pm so no “thugs” can hang out here lol. Prices are basically the same as other local storages. But the service quality is great!
