I have been coming to this store since i was a little kid the owner is nice and always willing to do his best to help you out with what you need the service is impeccable. It is about the furthest thing from big corporate you can get it is a family owned and run music store the people you talk too are musicians not sales people. The people you talk too are the same people who work on your gear. The store has been in business since 1948 they may not have everything but what they sell is good and i dare you to find another store like this one. The staff is experienced and you can trust the speno family to get the job done right.

I brought a guitar here a couple of months ago to be fixed up. They gave it back to me 2 weeks later the same way I gave it to them. Same strings, if anything they made it worse the action was way to high they did not oil it or adjust the truss rod the thing was unplayable and still is I am not looking forward to going back..

VERY NEW to guitars and I bought a right hand Fender online not knowing that I would need a left hand guitar. Spenos took in the Fender and put in my hands a Luna Left(y) that fit me perfectly!! The owner (I presume) gave me an INCREDIBLE DEAL on the Fender I traded in and the Luna I purchased. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. His employee made sure the guitar looked and sounded perfect, and got some other stuff for me at a wonderful price!! Now I know you can find some wonderful deals at big stores or online BUT you will miss out on the service and care you will get at Spenos!! I look forward from now on going to Spenos for ALL my needs!

If you care about Covid protocol even a little steer clear of this place 1000%. No employees were wearing masks and maybe 2/10 customers were. Blatant disregard for the basics of working in customer service nowadays. Also, selection was incredibly limited compared to how their site and google make it look. Mostly a record shop/sheet music type of spot. If I wanted records I’d have gone to sound garden or books and melodies in Syracuse. Came here looking for a musical instrument store but really didn’t see much of one. Pretty bad experience. Definitely won’t return.

Great selection of vintage stereos, speakers, used vinyl and musical instruments. Mike always takes care of the customer. Very proud that Auburn is lucky enough to have a local business like Speno Music!

You cant get this level of expertise and service at any other music store period.I bought some tubes today. They were very helpful with the purchase. They also helped me test my old tubes.

Speno is great, my only problem is that every time I walk in there I end up leaving with a new instrument! I guess you can say they do too good! Every time Ive bought something theyve given me either discounts or add ons, and I cant tell you how much I appreciate their business. If only you had more keyboards!

Love love love this music store, its family run and the atmosphere is nostalgic. They have high quality NEW/USED instruments and great prices! I purchased a couple instruments there (guitar and mandolin) and they worked with me to get them. Also had my violin repaired and set up, it is perfect now. Mike Speno and his family are the best! Not kidding. Worth a drive if you live far, they have everything or CAN get it.

This place is packed with electronics, instruments and old vinyls packaged in plastic. Quite a selection of rock, jazz, etc. Many old time radios. Definitely worth the time to stop in and explore.

The owner and son were authentically concerned and helpful about my needs. The neighborhood vibe and service took me back to a time before the words big box stores were were ever spoken. I left feeling amazed that such places still exist and hopefull that we can get back to that way of life.

I’ve been to many shops. But man this one takes the cake. The staff are space cadets and very unreliable. I sent a guitar in for repair just to see how it would turn out. I get it returned in worse shape than when I sent it, I wish I had saved my money and get the know how from a YouTube tutorial. Calling the store doesn’t help at all. I got a hold of Mike who is the owner and he came off incredibly rude and narcissistic. I’ve asked around the music community in NY if they’ve been here before and they all gave me a smirk or just laughed saying they wouldn’t step foot in there. I couldn’t agree more with them. I urge anyone to please not go to Speno music Unless you’re wanting to get terrible service.

A good music shop, great for fixing instruments used in high school band. Ect. Also sells many instruments, not cheap but most music shops arent. Also have used to have lessons, not sure if they still do. They sell guitars and drums. They dont usually buy instruments, but may if its the right type and time of year. Also sell many other items for playing instruments, reeds, greese, picks, and foot peddles.

Very disapointed. Dropped off my sons trumpet for repair. It was a bit of a rush job as he had a school concert in one week. Was very happy when he said he could have it repaired by Saturday, only 4 days away! Stopped by Saturday afternoon and it wasnt done. He told me he had a lot going on and didnt get to it yet. He told me he would have if done Tuesday morning. I reminded him that I needed it for concert and wanted to make sure it would be done. He flipped out and yelled at me, exploded and said he was busy with ither things. He said it would be done by Tuesday, that he was 4th generation and had been in business for 80 years. I said I understand, I just want to make sure it will be done in time, and reminded him that he originally told me it would be done on Saturday, but he missed it. He told me to take the trumpet, he wasnt going to fix it. Leaves me in a bind and likely with very disapointed 8 year old. I know this store has great reviews and is well liked in the area, but I am extremely disapointed how i was treated.
