What a lovely store! What a wonderful experience. Like the Original Good Day Market in Portland I grew up shopping at, Same smell, Same sweet vibe. Lovely ladies, Fantastic selection.

Really disappointed!! One would think that especially a natural food store would be open and willing to donate products to a pantry in need of gluten free items for patrons that have celiac. There are no options. In the world we live in today you would think and hope that when someone reached out and asked for help that one would want to lend a hand in some way and help. Not only were they not open to donating anything but the employee seemed not even to care. How sad. God bless.

I have always loved Axis, shopped there before they moved locations. The people have always been kind, friendly and helpful. Until today when I was informed they were closing and couldnt control Google and what time Google says the store closes. I understand that times are difficult, but I believe that makes it even more important to be friendly.

Its clean friendly ,they have greats products, but a little expensive.

This is a wonderful store with so much variety. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I always enjoy my shopping experience here and almost always find what Im looking for.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is always bad but today after I drove 30 min to get there the woman was about to lock the door and said it a nasty voice we close at 6. I asked why it says 8 online and she said well google isnt us. Ive been in customer service a long time and you never just shut the door in some ones face. They have one product that we have a hard time finding elsewhere right now or I would have stopped going here after my first visit

Great selection but could use a little updating. Staff is really nice and there is plenty of parking. Some of the prices are outrageous.

One of the best natural stores I have found and been to in Central Maine. I would highly recommend. The staff here are also very friendly and helpful.

This place is like a statue. Its cool and neat, glad its there, but I never buy anything there because I dont need any of it.

One time i went here there was no one to be found in the store, not one person working or near the cash register, was just standing there waiting to be cashed out

Been shopping here for years, friendly staff, super helpful and attentive. Clean and lots of cool stuff :) this is one of my 10 year olds favorite stores.

The only health food store in the area quite a bit in this small store, that said its a bit pricy.

Store closes at 5pm not 8pm, great store, customer service could be better

Since covid-19 Very Sad service! I went to the store for the first time after the stay at home order had lifted. When I went to enter the store I was greeted with a panicked voice, stay away from the door, dont come in here! Yikes, I thought! What happened... 5 employees from the inside peered out at me as if I had the plague. They said I could order online or by phone and come pick up my order. I sat in the parking lot called and called no answer (yet 5 employees were in the store staring out) so I finally gave up. I ordered off Amazon. I like to buy local as much as possible but after being treated so rudely I have only been back once in 6 months. I have tried to reach someone on several occasions to place a special order. It rings busy or just rings and rings with no answer and no machine to leave a message on. I see that someone else has posted a picture of their new hours 8-5pm, yet online it says they are open till 8pm. Not sure what is going on but I am finding ways around having to shop here anymore. Its kinda sad because I have shopped here for years. I am sorry it has come to this. I hope they will be able to make it...

I would highly recommend this place the workers are all very helpful and nice.

Great natural foods store, feels like an indoor farmers market. Anything you need but can’t find at a chain store you have a good chance of finding at Axis. The staff are polite and welcoming and are happy to help you find anything you might not see. There is also a great selection of international foods and ingredients as well as health foods and supplements. With a wide variety and calm atmosphere, Axis provides a great shopping experience.

This store is like stuck 20 years ago. Cant be compared to other co-ops, like Morning Glory or Rising Tide. The selection is very limited, especially for fresh foods. Everything is outdated.

I freaking love that they have raw milk products! Can actually make healthy ice cream with that and their raw honey and good quality eggs.

This store has an extensive amount of merchandise available that the health food loving demographic will enjoy. Truly a bit of everything, including cards, essential oils, pet food, and works marker type crafts. And of course many healthy groceries, though in some cases only one variety is offered.Also, a few aisles of supplements and herbs. Its the only place in the L/A area offering this array of healthy options.That said, they are significantly overpriced. In some cases, cost is DOUBLE what you pay online. Their bulk items are also a cheap shoot. We have gotten dates that had worms in them and most everything you buy thats bagged tastes and smells like detergent or patchouli.Overall a great store with mostly outstanding staff.

I special ordered product and recieved a call it was in. I stopped by on a Friday, a little after 4:30. When I walked in I was greeted with we close at 5. Umm..ok. I asked the cashier about my special order and she told me to go in the back and tell someone. Umm...ok. As I was walking through the store, I encountered an employee, I said hello and he responded with we close at 5. Yes, I know, Im trying to pick up an order. Sigh.Unusual for the employees to be so rude, but the times, they are a-changin...

Amazing selection of gluten free flours. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cosmetics and skin car section is also very large and a nice resource to have in the area.

Great people great source of natural essentials

This is a great resource store for us. We have family members who are either lactose intolerant or require gluten free foods. It also has vegan selections for the family members who have chosen that lifestyle.

Over the years my experience has been that the service has become better. Most employees are helpful and knowledgeable. I asked to have them order me something special and they were very accommodating and quick to let me know when the item was in. Product is always plentiful and the prices are not bad. They have a great gift section!

Failure to update hours. Made a trip only for it to be a waste. Call ahead.

Nearly all associates are on top of their game and very friendly. I have no idea what kind of turn-over they have there, but the customer service has improved over the last year. Fresh produce is frequently rotated and kept appealing; Well-stocked. There is a reason this small specialty store has survived for so many years in a predominantly corporate-store city, they are enthusiastic and one of a kind. Patron as often as possible, I would hate for L/A to lose this landmark.

I was just passing through. Friendly staff, had lots of pretty, nice smelling things to browse. Didnt have everything I was looking for but the basics were covered.

I go here for my cooking spices,b cocoa, and yeast, they are sold in bulk. Generally about a 1- 1 1/2 cup size bags. Much cheaper than the grocery store. Of course all organic.

Great new store, love the selection, but i echo the other reviewers that customer service really needs to become a top priority here. its hit or miss with the customer service, and that i believe is just a result of training the staff and a value system at the store that may very well just be accidental on all parts, but honestly, there was a time i refused to go back (and spend my regular, at the time, $120 bill there) because of the customer service snafus that happened so much. i think things are slowly improving.

You know when you read about something thats a new health breakthrough, well they have it. Its so much fun leisurely walking around this store to decide how you want to treat yourself.

Staff is pretty rude and not very helpful. Id go elsewhere for that reason alone. Some prices are high but not all. Otherwise exactly what your expect of a natural food store.

I go there every now and then. They have natural soda for 60-80 cents. I get the Coconut juice with pulp for $3 there and its just as good as a real coconut.
