Customer service in their lumber warehouse was terrible. Spoke to guy at the customer service desk who help and recommended a product from the warehouse. The guy at the warehouse could barely speak and acted as though he’d never heard of it. This guy clearly wasn’t even attempting to understand which is very frustrating after talking to this person for about 2 mins I just decided to leave

First time customer. Excellent service at the order desk and in the warehouse. Order picker made sure I got good lumber but that wasnt hard. I didnt see any poor quality in the first place. Place was clean, well stocked and very well organized . Im from Birmingham and wish we had a Russell in the Gardendale area.

Nice, clean, friendly staff. Name brand and house brand items available. Inventory not avalable online but a simple call solves that. They have a mandatory mask sign at the door but staff dont wear them. Lots of parking space.

These delivery drivers are so incredibly rude! Speeding, cutting off cars, running people off the road, tailgating. I called the company to place a complaint, especially with KIDS in my car, the man on the phone basically cared less that me and my children almost got ran off the road because of this mans reckless driving WITH a good amount of wood and other materials in the back of the truck coming within inches of our front windshield, speeding over 80+ miles an hour... all before 7 am in the morning.If you really want to stand by behind people who clearly misrepresent your company and can’t abide basic traffic rules and are careless with other people’s lives, that’s on you.Thanks for almost causing an accident for no reason by 7 am!

Great service and choices.

They would not take order over the phone. Driver pulled in the yard, my wife went to meet the driver,he was told not to put lumber in muddy area. He pulled his truck in the mud. Stuck it. My son went out to try and help. Couldnt pull it out, so he offered to help unload by hand to keep it out of the mud. The driver just lifted bed and dumped it in the mud. Now I have muddy wood, some of the boards broke, rutted yard and when he pulled out he broke limbs off the trees. Where do they get their drivers. I recommend going to anyone but them. Stubborn, non caring, just the worst experience ever.

I was there to make a delivery and was totally ignored by everyone . So I just left the bucket of material and their ticket and left .I cant stand to be ignored . At least acknowledge my presence and say youll be with me in a minute , and Im fine with that . I dont mind waiting . But dont ignore me like Im not even there .

Great All the Way Around. I deal with these guys all the time. I dont ever remember them not going the extra mile for customers. Collecting information/Specs, rush orders, special orders, and so on. A great part of the community for sure.

I needed a 6 X 6 X 6 piece of cedar for an urgent project. I was told to come here to get it otherwise the nearest store to stock 6x6 cedar would be in Atlanta. I was charged $90 for this piece of wood. I knew I was getting ripped off but unfortunately I didnt have time to take a trip to Atlanta to get it. Home Depot carries a 6 X 6 X 12 piece for less than $70 at the ATL locations!! Im sure Im not the only woman that has walked into this place and been lied to about prices. I will never do business with such a dishonest company again. Im surprised that someone would even feel okay sleeping at night after jacking up a price that high!! Do yourself a favor and support other business that pride themselves on customer service.

I sure was disappointed to see that the Russell delivery man that just delivered lumber to 1357 Burke Lane in Auburn (at my neighbors house) chose to drop the load halfway across my driveway!! I share the driveway with 1357 and the guy can see a vehicle parked 10ft. from where he left the lumber (at least I assume he can see.) But he just drove off without so much as an apology when I came out to protest his complete lack of accuracy. I know how to drive a truck, too, and this guy just doesnt get it.

This company is full of cheaters and scammers. ESPECIALLY the sales reps. They will sell builders hundreds of dollars worth of materials MORE than they need for the job, and then the home builders return the extra and get the money back, but they give the homeowner the original invoice, so somebody is pocketing a lot of extra cash at the homeowners expense! Very shady practices!!
