James is an Auburn treasure. Best bike shop in town. The only bike shop that knows about old bikes, and the only one that isnt going to try to sell you new Trek or whatever if you bring in a 70s steel bike (which are superior anyway), or even a walmart bike.

The man running this shoppe, James, is a treasure and will take care of you responsibly.

The person who helped us was courteous and knowledgeable. We just showed up and they said it would only take a day or 2 (which it was) and was inexpensive. My son will be back to have them service his bike again!

Skilled bike repair, and surprisingly fair rates. Daniel and James will go the extra mile to address mechanical issues and keep your bike on the road. I have a commuter bike I use all the time and a road bike that is almost 20 years old now. The Bike Shop helps me keep them on the road with good advice and good work when I cant do it myself. Their years of experience have saved me some serious headache.

These guys are are wonderful! I much prefer to give them my business rather than a big sporting goods store. They are helpful and honest and each time I go in to have something done on my bike Im blown away by the customer service.

It takes them one day to get service works done which puts you out of a ride if you bike to and fro campus like I do but man do they do a good job. My bike rides like a dream after taking it to the Auburn Bike Shop. Very satisfied.

The staff here are amazing; very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. When I first came to Auburn, they helped me pick out the bike that was right for me. If you buy the bike from them, you get free service on it for a year! I will be going here for bike service and parts as long as Im in Auburn.

I bought a bike at The Bike Shop almost 15 years ago and have been taking it back whenever I need any service. They treat customers right. They never try to sell me something I dont need. When my mirror broke and I went to buy a new one, James told me how to get a replacement mirror rather than buy a whole new one. When my taillight quit working and I went to buy a replacement, James tried to fix it rather than sell me a new one. James has done very minor repairs (like gluing in pedal reflectors) on a walk-in basis at no charge. When I needed a new odometer that would fit my existing bracket, Daniel rummaged around in the back and found an old one that he sold me at a very reasonable price. They know me by name. This shop may be smaller than some others in Auburn, but they do their very best to treat their customers right and provide excellent service and advice.

Helpful and friendly employees. Reasonable prices. Fast service. I needed a new inner tube, seat, and handle bar grips. They had it done in two days.

I bought my latest bicycle from these guys years ago. I still love it. I have always taken my bicycles to these guys to fix them. They have always done the repairs quickly and cheaply. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Only gave them one star because I couldnt figure out how to give them zero.They refused to pump up the tires, tighten the pedals, and adjust the brakes on my brand new Pedago City Commuter because it was an E-bike and they just dont want to get into those. I could not get the person there to tell me whether they were afraid of some kind of liability or whether they just had no respect for E-bikes and folks like me who need the occasional assist of an electric motor. I got the distinct impression that it was the later since I was only asking for basic mechanical inspection and set-up.They dont seem to understand the concept that you are not liable if you are in no way negligent. That leaves two possibilities; they are either incompetent or rudely biased against what they see as something less than a real bicycle. Since Ive had no problem with their service in the past, Im guessing it must be their bias. I didnt know that there were bicycle-nazis in town, but now I do.Keep in mind that this is a shop that I have done exclusive if not frequent business with since the 1980s. I purchased my road bike from them many years ago and to date they have done all the service on my bicycles.Worst customer support, empathy, and biased policies I have experienced in a business that is supposed to support people in their hobby of bicycling. They will never get another dime of my money and I will go out of my way to send people to other shops in the area such as James Bro.s Bikes who had no problem whatsoever helping me tune my bike up. They were very friendly, professional, and said they love E-bikes and were more than happy to work on them. Funny, I didnt even know that there was another shop in town, until I was treated so poorly. I guess I should thank them for forcing me to find a real bike shop that actually cares about customer support. Maybe that is worth one star.

Would have saved a dollar at Walmart but I was compensated with expertise and knowledge. The gentlemen takes pride in his craft and thats priceless.
