Do not take your car here. I had to have a few heater hoses replaced and they forgot about my car. They said it would be 2 weeks for the parts to get there and be replaced. A month later I had to call them to see what was taking so long. Apparently the parts were on “back order”. They didn’t tell me because they didn’t want me to take my business elsewhere. So they said, two more weeks. I call in two more weeks, well this time they says it’s going to be over a month, so I should go to Atlanta myself and buy the part, then bring it to them to fix it. I say okay, I’ll get it. I get the part ordered, and it’s not on back order anywhere so I know they lied and just forgot about my car. So again, part is ordered and in the mail when I get a call saying I could come pick up my car. Never got a call to not order the part myself, was never told how long it would actually be, and was continually lied to about services just so they could scam me out of my money. I didn’t even have a choice to take it to another shop. I called and asked all the right questions but the man on the phone couldn’t be bothered to even answer them. I had two heater hoses replaced, only one was the back order nightmare but buddy couldn’t tell me which one they did and didn’t have. Continued to give me the run around until they could take my money. This shop will scam you and will not care. BEWARE

Would recommend to anyone. Was helped by a gentleman with a kind but strong spirit. He listened to me vent and answered all my questions about my air condition and other concerns I had. He went above and beyond what he was required. I pray double blessings on this company and I pray that he is appreciated.

Highly recommend this place. It was probably obvious from the point I walked in that I knew nothing about car problems. These folks checked out the tire, realized the lodged metal hadnt done any major damage, pulled it out, checked for air leaks and sent me on my way free of charge.

Best all around shop in Auburn and Opelika hands down. Everyone is knowledgeable, everyone is helpful as they can be. I feel they are the most honest mechanic shop Ive ever been to.

Me and my friend used this place my friend went and it was first come first serviced so I went in to get the above done to my car and was there before they opened but still had to wait hours for people who wasnt there to get there. LONG story short my friend was caucasian and Im not dont support these business practices.

If you use them make sure youre white because no matter what time I go Im always waiting even if Im the first person there Ill have to wait hours for white people to bring cars later and get serviced first. White only Entrance, Back Of The Bus All over again lol

Very nice and professional! They found some other repairs that needed to be made but did not make the repairs without my consent or push me to get anything extra done. I will be bringing my car back next week to get those extras repairs made! This is the second time they have worked on my car and it was a tire replacement. The first time they did some body work after I was rear ended, they do excellent body work too! 10/10 would recommend!

I did have a rough experience with Will on the phone with an emergency phone call for a service they normally do not perform however have done for my self before, but in the end it was a thankful experience thanks to David. He is always one call away when my forgetful self locks my keys in my car. Great Place to Work and The Best Shop in Auburn !

Franklin is our go to place for automotive needs...always up front and honest about what needs to be done and how much. We used to go to a chain but constant turnover and unreliability pushed us toward a local company. Franklin is the only automotive service name we trust.

College students and anyone for that matter should stay clear of this place. They price gauge students. Six hundred dollars to change basic spark plugs and wires on a Chevy Blazer?! There are better, cheaper options out there. Please don’t support this business unless you have a large disposable income.

Do not use Franklin tire and autos,they price guage,My car stalled in school parking lot I had it towed to Franklins and was told need to replace starter and negative terminal, bill $484.52, I informed them my starter has lifetime warranty it can be replaced without any charge and you can charge me the labor for replacing it,he refused blatantly said we have to make these charges to keep ourself profitable and insisted me to pay $308with starter also was adding diagnostic charge $52.80 include which usually doesnt get added when you use them to do the work.I towed the car to my house and looked online how to replace negative terminal ,I replaced the terminal cost $6 my car was back normal,they are fraud fraud fraud be aware donot use them who know how many people they looted and defrauded in the name of falsifying parts replacements.I have full estimate hard copy.

I wish to start by thanking the office manager who was very nice in giving me a ride back to my place. Having said that, I am disappointed in how the front office treats its customers. I went there with the intent to support local businesses but...1. In a span of 5-days, I had to visit them 3 times to get a diagnosis on oil leak. When I visited on Friday, I was quickly told oil is leaking from everywhere and I need to come back the following week to get a diagnosis. When inquired about appointments, the front office told me that they serve on a first-come first-serve basis.2. When I visited them on Tuesday, I was asked to leave my vehicle for diagnosing the leak problem. While I handed the keys and waited in their office to be dropped back to my place, at least 2-3 customers who came after me got their vehicle serviced. Its just unfair that one customer needs to leave her/his vehicle to get it diagnosed, while the others can come after that customer, get their vehicle diagnosed and even get it fixed while they are in there.3. A $50 fee was assessed for diagnosing the problem, which just said that they needed to open up the timing belt and the components around it to get better access to the problem.I would have taken a second opinion (a $800 fix deserves a second opinion) about my vehicle and probably gone back to them but the prejudiced treatment on their part is disturbing. I truly wish Franklin T&A success going forward but at the same time request them to be professional, particularly at the front office.

Way overpriced, felt taken advantage of. Credible sites said this little repairs parts and labor should be an average ~$260, this was close to $500. When I asked about it, they were rude and I felt disrespected. We wont be going back to them for future auto needs.

They may have a good quality over fixing cars as a lot people heard, but at least I havent felt this with my experience. Instead, what I felt is impatience and disrespect for their customers. I went there because my engine light was on. They told me the inspection fee is $80. I thought they may give a better inspection than my dealers. However, they just showed me the code, and then told me whats wrong with my car and how much money I need to pay to get them fixed. I was so suspecting about the result and when I asked for a proof of a more detailed inspection, they just told me you are free to go anywhere else now. After that the staff even didnt look at me anymore. I was almost stung. After I realized what happened, we argued for 15 minutes, and finally the staff said again, okay, I apologized for just now, but you are free to go anywhere else.I don believe such a reasonable requirement from customers could be so annoying to a businessman if he can care his customers a little bit more than money. They should show more patience rather than their history and reputation.

My vw Touareg had a broken ac and needed all new rotors and brake pads. Franklin was able to diagnose and get all parts and work completed in one day. This is by far the best auto shop in the area! Equipped with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, they go out of their way to meet your every need. After reading some reviews, I thought I had to chime in. I have ALWAYS been treated with nothing but mutual respect and of the utmost courtesy at Franklin Tire and Auto. Great prices and great service every time I have visited, and with the clunker I used to own I was in there a lot. So I guess they havent been able to please everyone, but apparently if you have common sense, are courteous, and are respectful, I doubt very seriously you will encounter a problem. I will always recommend Franklin Tire and Auto as they have earned my trust.

This is probably the best auto repair place Ive ever been to. Theyre scrupulously honest, provide information and cost estimates for everything, and complete repairs as quickly as can reasonably be expected. Just excellent service and people in my experience.

I had a diagnostic test run at Auto Zone before I went, so I already knew what the problem was. When I got to Franklins, the guy wouldnt give me a price quote before running the $80 diagnostic test (he said it would be somewhere between $200 and $500 to replace the part I needed, which is a pretty big range if you ask me, and means he either had no idea how much it should cost or he was trying to give me the run-around). They told me half of the $80 would be credited back to me when I had them make the repair, but it seems awfully foolish to have a test done before you know whether the price of the repair will be absolutely outrageous. A simple price quote and I probably would have gone for the test--but it seemed like a trap. Just be aware. They seem nice enough, but there are other places around that will be more upfront with you when you ask about prices.

Amazing shop, best in the Auburn-Opelika area for sure. The technicians and service reps are excellent. This place isnt about pushing parts or upselling you on unnecessary services. Would recommend to anyone who needs work done.

Great service and saved me in the long run! I had my car checked knowing it needed some scheduled service, which they provided quickly and at a good price. While performing the work, the manager contacted me to explain that they found problems with my engine mounts. They explained the possible effects but did not press me to fix them immediately. This gave me time to investigate and discover that the problem did in fact exist and manifested itself exactly how they explained. Later at my own schedule I took the car in to fix the additional problems. I was glad they did not pressure me to fix everything at once because it gave me more confidence in the source and solution of the problem. Honest and respectful staff.

They have always been courteous and fair. I have never once felt taken advantage of or felt that they were dishonest. I take my vehicles there for any problem I may have, from general maintenance to more serious problems. Out of all of the mechanic shops / tire places in the Auburn Opelika area, this place is the best!

I have a daughter who is a student at Auburn and we live out of state. Knowing her car is being taken care of is extremely important, as any parent would tell you. We first went to Franklin on the recommendation of someone who lives locally. That was 3 years ago and weve never had a reason to go anywhere else. No matter what she needs (and weve run the gamut) they are responsive, polite, fast and reasonably priced. They often check fluids/tires for free just to make sure shes ok before she gets on the road. I just dont know how else to put it - THEYRE GREAT!!!

Dishonest front desk employees, very bad attitude.I replaced all rotors and brake pads the night before on my car but being tired at 10:00 pm I put on one pad backwards. I noticed the strange noise and asked the front desk employee to check on it. The rotor had no grooves on it that time.Then the lying jerk called me on the phone that the whole brake system needs to be replaced because it was ruined. Of course it was not, I only drove 2 miles and used my handbrake to save the rotor.They drove the car around to ruin the rotor and pad on purpose to prove they were correct! Criminals!Do not go there!

This is an unreliable repair shop. On September 15, 2018, my cars engine yellow light came on, and I saw a four-star rating and drove over for repairs. The store told me that the CATALYTIC CONVERTER was broken and needed to be replaced, and that it cost more than $1,200 for inspection, parts and labor. I followed their advice and the store promised me a one-year warranty on the same issue. I drive my car for 40 days, 2,800 miles, and the same problem comes up again, and I come to this auto repair shop again, and they dont do quality assurance. The explanation they gave was the same problem as the other parts problem, and I had to pay more than $1,000 again. My car is now worth $10,000 and they want me to spend more than $2,200 on the same problem. Ill never go to this store again. Its a fraud!
