This review is a *little* overdue...Over a month ago I went up to Auburn to look for a new car with my Dad. Real Deal Auto Sales was the first place we stopped. Thats when we saw that they had a 2013 BMW 5-Series parked in the lot and we went to take a look at it. This car was in mint condition, very little to no problems with this car and not a spec of rust anywhere! The service here was amazing and Kevin is such an outgoing guy! Hes honest and straight to the point. Hes the kind of person that I hope is the face of every dealership. Not to mention that his mechanic was just as great too! I had a problem with the car so I brought it up yesterday to see what was wrong with it, and thankfully it was only this little hose that was detached. They fixed it free of charge. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive. After having this car for over a month I can say that I am in love with this car. Every ride is smooth like butter and handles so well. I couldnt be happier!! I had an amazing experience at Real Deal! Just purchased my new (to me) Volkswagen and the process was quick and painless. I went in to take a test drive and decided to purchase. Honest and fair service- they give options on how you can address the issue, allowing you the control to make your own decisions. Bought my truck on 7/9 and by 7/12 I already had to contact Kevin about an issue. Got one thing fixed on the truck but still didn’t fix the vibration/shudder. Told Kevin it was still doing the same thing and tried to come in but got pushed back a week. The truck was getting bad so I took it to a local garage and they knew right what it was. I contacted Kevin and told him what they found and Kevin was not willing to do anything about the transmission issues I was having. After he was notified of this transmission issue he blocked my number and I was not able to contact Kevin again. 3 weeks after I bought this truck I was broke down on the side of the road and had to get a tow to a garage to get my transmission completely rebuilt. Complete joke of a place Kevin runs, extremely unprofessional and used the cheapest part he could get for the one thing that he did actually fix. I highly would recommend finding a different place to purchase a vehicle rather than real deal.UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO KEVINS REPLYApparently Kevin is also a liar. I was never once offered an extended warranty. When asked about the warranty that came with the vehicle he stated the drivetrain was “bulletproof” and the vehicle would only come with a inspectable item warranty. Also lies about his willingness to install the new torque converter at only the cost of the part, to include free labor. I clearly would have taken him up on that instead of paying 2k out of pocket. But really the big catch is how would I have been able to contact him? Kevin blocked my number after he was told there was transmission issues. The issue that was fixed was a lower ball joint, which if not caught before the ball joint gets too bad is a huge safety issue while driving! Sadly this review is in no way exaggerated.

Recently bought a 2012 Mini Cooper S Countryman ALL4 from Kevin. I’d been looking around the state for this model and had seen and driven some that just weren’t right. This particular car was from an out of state auction, 6 speed manual, 110K miles, and I verified it had a fairly solid CarFax history. Car was very clean, inside and under the hood. Good tires, new brake job, fun to drive. Very good experience with test drive, and no hassle sale. Kevin is very personable and no pressure - he’s easy to deal with. Update: continued great support & true to their word. Two weeks after purchase, an expensive transmission part started malfunctioning. Kevin and his technician, found the Subaru replacement part for cheap locally and covered the cost of labor. Overall, the repair coast me half of what the franchise dealer quoted and Im back on the road 24hrs later. The technician took the time to explain the part and even showed me one that he had recently replaced from another vehicle. I bought 2010 Tundra off from Real Deal Auto a few years ago, I recently needed quite a bit of work done to it, so I called Kevan up and he didn’t even hesitate, told me to swing it by so he and his mechanic Denis could take a look at it. Needless to say they went right through it, and I got it back back just like new. The service I received was top notch, Kevan kept me informed through the whole process as they came across things that needed to be addressed. Thank you Kevan and Denis for a Job well done!!

Negative Experience. I bought a car years ago, wrote a negative review and it kept getting taken down for some reason. I will tell the truth: Kevin was all hugs and kisses for THIRTY DAYS. He said there was no problem, both times I had gone back with an issue. He hooked up a little fake meter machine and said all was well. Long story short, I had to pay $800 to my mechanic after the 30 days. When I mentioned it to Kevin, he cursed me out and yelled and hung up on me. Real Professional. I have since spoken to several people who had similar experiences. Stay clear!!

If youve ever had to buy a car FOR someone else then you know the struggle. Between bad weather, lifes happenings and not really sure what make and model I was looking for, it took me about a month to find the right one.I finally found the car on cargurus.com (not sure why all dealerships dont use that app). Kevin knows his business well. He even had the car warming up for me before I got there. I think we were in out and with a new car in about a half an hour!I recommend Real Deal. There was a nice selection of cars and trucks. Its a little off the beaten path but worth the trip.

About a month ago, my wife and I purchased a 2012 Honda Odyssey from Real Deal Auto. We had looked many places from Maine to Mass, and found what we were looking for close to home, in Auburn, Maine! I am currently writing this from Ohio, where we are visiting family for the holidays, the first real test for the vehicle. He wanted to make sure that this vehicle was the correct fit for our familys needs, even checking in with our 8yr old, to see what he was looking for in a new car. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and was willing to negotiate on the price a bit.The van was very clean and inspected. After a test drive, we needed to return home (Portland) to secure the loan through our bank. Kevin made sure that the bank had all of the necessary paperwork, and when we returned to purchase the vehicle, he was there to pass on all of the registration papers we needed to make transfer of ownership hassle free.The vehicle came with 3 months of satellite radio included, and when that did not work right away, one quick call to Kevin, and it was worked out within a day - no problem.I would (and have) recommend purchasing a vehicle from Real Deal Auto. We needed to buy a reliable, inexpensive car — and we needed to buy it sight unseen. I searched the Portland area for Honda Pilots and stumbled across a great looking 2011 model at Real Deal Auto. One owner, no accidents (which a quick look at the Carfax confirmed). After reading a few glowing reviews I called Kevin, who was friendly and enthusiastic but also direct and to the point. I decided to take a chance and am glad I did. The car had a (common for these model years) airbag recall — and Kevin gladly arranged for a local dealer to take care of it. He also took time out from his vacation to meet us at the airport on a Sunday with our “new,” extremely clean car. Quite a relief after our long journey. The entire process could not have been easier and I’m happy to say that so far it drives great. I highly recommend Real Deal Auto!
