If you haven’t tasted the sweet potato pie then you are insane. Love love love it.

I would like to start with this fact: I am NOT vegan. I went to a vegan pop up and saw these mini vegan sweet potato pies from First Batch for sale. I purchased two but I wish I have a dozen. Honestly I dont like pie very much. Never have. But these were delicious! I cant even explain how good they were. I couldnt tell the difference in this pie versus a non vegan pie. Im ready to have some more of these! Amazing!

Mood Music is where the shop is located. I had to use the address to find it. There is nothing I saw on the outside that indicated the shop was inside. We had nachos. I asked for the jalapenos on the side. The vegan cheese was nutritional yeast based. Or so I thought. It was smooth and the right texture for nacho cheese. The beef substitute was good. Gardein was what I thought it was. Fresh tomatoes and cilantro topped the nachos. It was very good. I had the birthday cake I cream. There was no cake so it could have just been birthday. It was the right texture and very creamy. The waffle cone was a nice extra. My husband had the banana pudding ice cream with the waffle cone. I tasted it. It was delicious.

Today we popped into a vegan dessert shop I’ve been following on IG for a while. It’s off Moreland and I20. They sometimes serve a vegan Gumbo. The ice cream is custom made as is the rest of the menu. We liked that everything had lots of flavor without being overly sweet. If and when you go.. let me know what you think 😋

Dee-Dee desserts are so freaking delicious and for it to be vegan/dairy free is mind blowing!! I am addicted to her pookie pies (sweet potato pies) I drive 2 hours from North Carolina just for them. Today I also had her Banana pudding ice cream, oh my lord!!! She was voted best Iicream in Atl for a reason. Anything you get on the menu will be phenomenal! Thank you Dee, I will be back soon ☺️

Ive never been there, but cant wait! Ive been a vegan for almost a year, thanks to my son, the athletic & personal trainer. Never made any vegan deserts, but cant wait to try!Moving to GA by New Years.
