We had the best experience possible! Jeff was a gem to work with throughout the process. We were looking to replace the granite on the kitchen island with a butcher block, and sent ATG an inquiry over the website. The response was immediate, and Jeff invited us to visit their workshop. It was the best way to look at all the alternatives and decide what we wanted to go with. Jeff is very knowledgeable and guided us through the choices, making it super simple to get what we wanted - an end-cut Sapele mahogany that we have been using daily since installation! Installation itself was a charm. Jeff and his team made it super easy. We recommend them very strongly!!!

We worked with Jeff on a custom island top as part of our kitchen renovation. We initially met Jeff at the shop so we could look through different samples and he could talk through various options. He was so kind, informative and helpful with each interaction and was very patient as we ran into some cabinetry delays that impacted his ability to install our top. For the past few weeks, WOW is all we have been able to say! We could not have asked for a better experience with ATG. From our initial phone call with Jeff, we were hooked. Every single step of the process, including the educational tour, we were included and the amount of detail and care they put into our projects (we came back for more) was phenomenal. Jeff and his team refinished our walnut kitchen counter tops, and they are amazing! They were almost 15 years old, and the finish was in bad shape — 2 weeks later they look better than new, and we have gotten compliments from everyone who has seen them. Great process, product, and service. When we decided on wood countertops late in a kitchen remodel, Jeff and the team quickly came out to discuss options, pick the right product, take measurements and get started. They delivered and installed a beautiful countertop more quickly than expected, then came back to repair stains left by the builders! If you are looking for a timely, responsible team to build from scratch your piece of art (in my case it was a walnut bar top with 3 different custom angles to specifically fit my unique kitchen area) then you need to speak with Jeff and/or Schuyler! From design, fabrication to install the job was seamless with nothing left to chance. Details like, thickness, finish type, color tones of wood within the walnut family, edging style were shown as samples so expectations were exceeded. Price and Service were above the industry norm. Since they have their own shop, they can really do CUSTOM work! Another PLUS if you want to meet them is they are located central to all areas around ATL.

Excellent customer service! I felt like my project was a priority and they were great at communicating when it would be ready. My bar tops at Waller’s Coffee Shop are awesome and I keep getting compliments. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again in the future.

Ive never seen a person be so helpful to someone they knew was not going to be a customer. Just spoke with Jeff from Against the Grain, and within the first few minutes of the phone call we determined that my project probably wouldnt be suited for their countertops (they do higher end custom work and the project Im working on is much lower end than that). Normally you would expect that to be that, but no! Jeff spent the next half hour walking me through how to get the countertops I wanted within the budget of my project, from other vendors. Like, who does that? When its time for custom, they will be my first call.

I love our new countertops! ATG was great and the process was entirely seamless. Highly recommend.
