The best merchant in ATL! The staff are very knowledgeable and super friendly; they make great recommendations. I once came in to Ansley completely distraught, exclaiming that I intended to eat cheese and cheese alone for dinner. One of the employees walked through my (quite substantial) cheese list with me and described what characteristics a good wine pairing would have! He picked the perfect wine for my drunken cheese adventure. Much happiness! They also have funny little meme cartoons on their labels to help guide your choice. 10/10 would cheese again.

The prices here can be bit high, but there are always several interesting selections.

Yesterday I purchased a bottle of wine and when I opened it, the cork had started to rot and the wine tasted horrible. So I walked back to the store with the bottle and the cashier refused to let me switch the bottle out or return it and said it was against the law. I looked up the law in GA and you are absolutely allowed to return spoiled wine. Horrible customer service and he offered no resolution. As a wine shop, you should have better customer service and honor returns on spoiled wine!

They are freaking amazing here. Everyone is super kind and really helpful. They’ve been so great during this quarantine so I can still get my booze in a safe manner! 😎 love you guys so much. Thank you for all you’ve and all you’ve been doing! Highly recommend!

Went to Ansley for help with my weddings bar. Not only did they get me extremely quality libations for really good prices, they also made several very good suggestions and provided a ton of insight. They worked with me to make it a really wonderful experience. I absolutely cannot recommend them highly enough.

Always chill and they go above and beyond to order for you if they dont have it.

I dont know much about wine, but I wanted to get a nice red for my brother for Christmas. The high reviews for Ansley Wine speak for themselves, and I was not disappointed. The staff there was helpful from the floor where I was given great recommendations in my requested price range to the checkout desk where I was offered free gift wrapping. Id definitely recommend this place.

Surprisingly, I was put on to this place by an employee at Greens Package Store after I went in looking for what I discovered is a rare wine.When I called up Ansley Wine Merchants, I spoke to the kindest woman on the phone who promptly checked to see if they carried it. When she discovered that they didnt carry it, she offered to order it. I hesitated because I didnt need a case of the stuff. But heres why they get 5 stars... they let me order 2 bottles of wine yall! Just a few days later, it came in and I got to enjoy my wine that weekend.Going into the store for the first time, I felt right at home. Everyone was so relaxed. There was not one shred of pretentiousness in there. Seriously, these people are the nicest. The selection is awesome and the prices are what youd expect.

🗣Lack of customer service. Dude with beard literally looked me down as if I were a criminal. I dont like that in 2021.

What a perfect selection of everything!! They have it all from an inexpensive bottle of wine, to the premium bottle for the wine connoisseur, as well as liquor, beer. Any time I am in there I was always greeted with a warm welcome and asked if I need help finding a particular brand. The last time I was in there they were able to help me select a wonderful wine for dinner. I truly appreciate customer service from each staff member. Plus they are happy to place an order for you.

I cannot praise Ansley Wine Merchants enough! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic birthday gift that arrived on time. Terrific choice for a unique and special present with top-notch customer service.

Wine geeks at their best. This place is an amenity for Midtown Atlanta: it is incredible for buying high quality wine based on taste rather than brand. The best value there is European wines which they mostly get from family run, old world wineries that have very little overhead cost and all mortgages paid off a few generations back, making these wines cheap to produce without sacrificing anything in quality. Some wines there are pure gems at well below $20 mark. Their wine club is the best and laziest way to get great selection for consistently very reasonable price: 6 bottle set of great wine is currently $75 plus tax. The policy is very relaxed, basically no commitment, just ask for either red or mixed set. Focus on non American wines also means more delicate, more complex and often more off beat flavors than our standard buttery Chardonnays and pungent Cabs. Thats basically the best place for adventurous wine drinker.

This place has it all!...and if they dont they will get it for you. I really enjoy going into this store. Ive been going here for decades. Always friendly, and always willing to help me (a wine idiot) pick out something special that will go with dinner. They also have an excellent selection of high-end liquor.

Just visited Ansley Wine Merchants this past week to stock up on wine for a fundraiser, with the goal being really good wine for a really good price. They helped me pick the perfect wines for our crowd... I walked away with 6 cases of 4 different wines all for $8 or less and they were perfect! I will be back for future events and for myself!

What a great store! This is my favorite bottle store/boutique wine store. The staff are super excited to help you find exactly what you are looking for. They made me feel like they were excited to get me exactly what I want.The interior is super fun: lots a snarky and clever signs on their products: If at first you dont succeed, try try a GIN!I LOVE going into places that LOVE their work!THIS is my store. I will drive out of my way to come here.

...and Im not just talking about expensive wine.They have it all here, and they will help you find exactly what you want in your budget. Sure, you could pay a buck less at Kroger or some other liquor store... but this store has a staff that will help you one-on-one and find something in your budget that will knock your socks off.It happens to me every time :)

AWM is why I support locally owned businesses. They offer incredible knowledge and a true passion about their product. I had recent been turned on to Bitters and know that this is a direct result of AWMs staff knowing my personal tastes.
