I am thankful for my experience at this location with Melvyn Thomas. Regretfully, I was having a less than desirable experience with Mattress Firm. Previously, I ordered my mattress online. Unbeknownst to me, I would undergo several delays due to the vendor being out of stock. I could not call to speak to anyone to request another model in place of this, nor could I request a refund. I was so disgusted and frustrated that I didnt know what to do as I was being redirected to a website without any personal interaction (an area of opportunity for Mattress Firms Customer Care).I went into the closest location to explain to Melvyn that I had a designed budget (from the refund issued to my PayPal account) to procure a replacement mattress. I requested that it would be in stock and that I could get a delivery sooner than later. He helped me locate a comfortable replacement and ensured that the product met my budget.When I went to pay for the goods, I encountered another two hour dilemma between Mattress Firm and PayPal. For clarity, I did not want to use an alternative payment option as I had a refund pending from Mattress Firm to my PayPal account. I already paid off my PayPal credit card balance and I did not want to have an outstanding credit that I could not liquidate on the back end. Therefore, I wanted the charges to cancel out.Unfortunately, I did not have the ability to pay using my PayPal credentials in the store, I had to do so online. And, when I went to regenerate my cart online, the price increased significantly. However, Melvyn was patient and kind enough to call around to identify a suitable workaround solution so I could pay for my merchandise.Finally, after three hours (literally), I was able to pay for my products and leave with a delivery date in hand.I am so thankful for Melvyn being there, that day, to help guide and support me on this endeavor. Had it not been for him, Mattress Firm would have lost a returning customer.
