We had a great experience at the store as well as the buying experience.However the secretary we ordered has drawers that stick and are very difficult to open. I wrote a review and was contacted by them to get a replacement. Again a good experience.When the replacement came the drawers were worse than the original so we didnt accept it.We are very happy with all the other pieces we have and love the design of the secretary just wish this flaw was worked out.

Started off good but when we tried finalizing purchase it was 3 card Molly. Worked with Lisa and was told delivery is 10% of total $1400 so the math to me is $140. In addition we asked if they could assemble and she responded no but they did have a inside delivery service for additional $40 to bring to any room.. Buyers beware if your item have more than 1 part Ballards will charge $40 per piece and on top of that a $35 surcharge per piece. None of which Lisa mentioned. She couldnt explain the additional $150 and summoned someone else to explain who talked in circles about truck drivers thresholds, surcharges...nice piece but a rip off in delivery fees. Nope too many furniture stores that are transparent about their delivery fees...Ill take my business elsewhere.

We had a horrible experience with Ballard in Atlanta. We wanted to buy the Ananda table in a white wash finish. We went into the store and they had one in the store; great! Unfortunately they said they couldnt sell that one to us, but they would send us a new one from the factory. Sounds good, so the clerk at the store ordered it online while at the store. Originally, it was going to take 6 weeks, but it ended up taking 4 months to deliver! Meanwhile the floor model we saw that we wanted had been sold. After opening the package, we found out it was the wrong color, so we had to return it. I happen to live very close to the store, and the package was huge, so I went in and asked them if I could just bring it in to the store. They said, oh, well call you and have someone come pick it up, and they got my phone number. I never received a phone call. Ultimately, I was able to use a shipping label and return it, but the whole ordeal was riddled with inaccuracies and mistakes.

The staff at Ballard Design in Atlanta was very helpful in helping me purchase a floor model chandelier that had been discontinued. Miss Lisa and Scott were just a few of the associates that helped in the transaction. Its really great to have a store where you can see so many of the catalog products in person. Always happy with my Ballard purchases.

My husband and I worked with Paul at Ballard Designs this weekend, and he was absolutely wonderful. Not only was he able to visualize the concept we wanted and anticipate our needs after only asking a few questions, he came up with some awesome ideas and designs for the space that we never would have been able to imagine on our own. He was super responsive and quickly made us a presentation and floor layout, incorporating everything we had discussed so I could better visualize it in my mind. We never felt pressured to buy anything, but loved all his suggestions. He was so patient, answered all the questions we had, and made the entire process completely painless. I highly recommend working with Paul.

Do not shop here if you want to exchange or return anything. I purchased two pillow covers and two feather down inserts among other items. I decided I wanted to exchange my pillows for different ones and was told upon arrival “We dont do exchanges only returns”. No big deal I thought so I returned my pillows and purchased the new ones I wanted. It’s been a week and the refund ($110+) still has not posted on my account. I have called the store three different times to discuss the issue and am always told my the store manager they will look into it and “call me back” which they never do. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. I was very excited upon moving to 30318 to have this cute furniture store to shop in but they will not continue to get mine or my friends business.

On a Wed. afternoon about 1:45 I waited for 20 minutes to enter their huge showroom.Certainly its their choice to limit shoppers but its mine to go elsewhere . Everyone had masks, if grocery stores, their neighbor Westside Market, Ikea and others can accommodate shoppers they could too. Il patronize the people who truly want to do business, not hide behind it.

Update: The person who reached out to me after I wrote this review was just as unhelpful as the rest of the customer service agents have been. My furniture is on a Ballard truck, and yet they are unable to give me any details beyond their standard line that It takes 14-21 days AFTER it shipped. It shipped two weeks after I placed the order, so the total time for this to get from their warehouse to me, is going to be between 5 and 6 weeks. That is ridiculous, and nowhere does it indicate you will wait a month and a half when you are placing the order online.I ordered some items online, and had them shipped to the store because it was free shipping. On the website it said it usually takes 10-15 days for delivery. It has now been almost a month, I’ve had 5 calls with customer service, and they have no information. Several times they promised it will ship the same day, and it didn’t ship for another week. Now According to what they are telling me, it has been on a truck from Ohio to Atlanta for 14 days. When I called the store to ask if it has actually arrived, the woman was very rude. I so wish that I didnt already have some pieces from them that I need to match. I would love to cancel this order!! I think they have cute stuff, but its not worth the hassle.

Everyone is very helpful! The only complaint I would have is that I found a duvet that I loved, asked if they had king size in the back since there were not any out on the floor, and they came back and said they were out of stock in the store and online as well. I checked online later that evening to find out they did have a king size in the color I was looking for. She was very nice about it, I just take it that maybe there was some miscommunication about what I was looking for? But love this store and drive over from B’ham a couple of times a year!

Would be a five if it wasnt for the terrible delivery service they use. Wouldnt bring my outdoor couch to deck without my offering $$. Then they wouldnt open the box so I could check the merchandise. Shouldnt you be able to see if there are any damages? Love the couch, didnt care for the employees of the delivery service

Beautiful store and friendly staff. Wasn’t really sure what I was looking for, but needed some inspiration. A super stylish person with cool dreadlocks (I think the name was Avante, sounded French) was obviously busy decorating the store, but was so nice and knowledgeable about colors and styles helped me anyway. Someone told me later that he was the visuals manager, which made so much sense. Really got my creative juices flowing, so I’ll definitely be back for help with my apartment! Avante, fix my life!

Ballards Backroom is a fantastic showroom. Here you will find everything in the regular catalog generally discounted by at least 25%.. One section in the back of store has deeply discounted items that may have small marks or imperfections. You need to browse carefully to find hidden treasures!If you like the Ballard catalog, youll love the Ballard Backroom.

Been Shopping Ballard Designs for over 20 years -- always found the staff to be knowledgeable as well as helpful. I am very excited that they are moving to a new space twice the size of this current show room, and cannot wait to visit there. Im sure I will be able to buy many more things without having them shipped and pay for shipping! (The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because their current space has become very cramped and is obviously dated.)

I love Ballards...great products and great pricing! We are fortunate to have a retail/outlet showroom in Atlanta off of Howell Mill and I-75. I will say that the staff there could use some customer service training based on my six visits there in the past three months, and the lines at the register can be interminable, but I will for sure continue to do business there because the products and prices are whats most important.

This place is great, as there is always stuff rotating into the outlet side. Also it is a part scratch/dent sale as current items that are not 100% are placed in outlet. Usually can find some good deals.

My husband and I recently ordered a number of custom chairs with Ballards along with some other items for our dining room. We have had nothing but poor experiences with customer service and follow through on various items (sent the wrong rug, never sent the correct one, never picked up the wrong one...we had to deliver it to the store ourselves). The tipping point is I received 6 of my custom chairs and 1 of them was VERY badly damaged. After a run around for a couple of days over the phone and emails with no sucess...we physically went to the store and was promised we would hear from the custom design team within 48 hours. After no follow up, I had to call to be told I had been credited but the replacement hadnt been ordered. I was promised a call back at 12.. at 3 I heard it is on back order and Im not expected to get this chair until January! I ordered these in August! Needless to say, some of their items are beautiful but the process is NOT worth it. Stay away!

My husband and I first time in the store. Looking for living and bedroom. The manager Scott ruined the experience for us. He came over i asked about a item. He started touching me on tge arm, shoulders grabing at me. Then he turned to my husband touched his arms. It was a shock and very uneasy feeling. We felt disrespected. My husband wanted to leave. Wow, this is awful. I called in to check on the availability of some counter stools I saw online when Laura or Lauren put me on hold to check. Ive been on hold for over 30 minutes now (and counting) and still no one has picked up to tell me whether they have the stools. Either Laura or Lauren got lost or the store doesnt value customer relations. I hope they dont work off commission because this whole situation is not deserving of the sale(s).

Horrible! Super slow and unable to receive packages. They shipped them to my billing address, and 6 phone calls with customer service, lying and telling me each time I would get them by end of day. All the packages are still in CA and they are unable to get them to MD. And they still continue today 9/7 that I will get packages by end of day. EVEN thought they admit they are still in CA! I bought all this essential stuff for my new home and I am stranded without bedding, tables and eating on the floor.
