A historic place in Athens. Thats why you visit. The ice cream and menu are no different - better or worse - than any other similar place, and there is no hard serve ice cream. But I still go. Its local, its yummy, I can walk there from my house, and gosh, its part of Athens history!

Always loved coming to this place! It has been around for many years. Great place for ice cream and shakes.

After we paid the ice cream machine broke and could not get a twist and we barely got vanilla. I thought the ice cream was kinda airy and not icey dense enough.

They have less and less. I used to live coming here for the flavor blast ice cream and their chocolate ice cream. They had neither on Sunday. A huge disappointment

This is our favorite ice cream place. Their butterscotch shake and soft serve are incredible. They usually have short wait, but even when they are busy the line moves pretty quickly. Highly recommended!

Super cute small town america type ice cream shoppe. Got a hotdog, brownie Sundae and a banana & peanut butter milkshake with my husband. It all was enjoyable and seemed to indeed he homemade. Parking was also good as its the corner business and accessible on either side. Outdoor seating was there under a covered A Frame metal roof. All-in-all I think worth the stop if you are in the mood for a sweet treat.

Absolutely love Kreme Delite. We visit often. In my opinion it is an Athens Landmark. Upsidedown Banana Split? Yes please! Coke Float, Root Beer Float, Dr Pepper Float? Ill take them all please! One Scoop on a cone? Sounds great!You cant go wrong here. Grab some ice cream, park, and enjoy. Dont forget to tip.

40 minutes in line only to be informed theyre not serving chocolate ice-cream today. A sign would have been a good idea for those of us with a vanilla-aversion. Typically, top-marks for Kreme Delite.

Open since 1951, Kreme Delite has been a favorite of mine since my 1st visit over 20 years ago. The menu has changed slightly since then but one thing that has stayed the same is the quality. That may be why this place is always packed. Kreme Delite has out lasted 2 different dairy queen locations in the area and I dont see it going anywhere anytime soon. From their ice cream cones to their chili dogs and nachos, there is something here for just about everyone. The ice cream is always cold and the employees are always warm and friendly. If youve never been, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Have loved this place for 40 years! Chili dogs and milk shakes are awesome. My precious mother-in-law would always bring us food from there when we were at her house. She always took the grandkids there for ice cream. Larry loved their banana splits.

We saw the long line of cars so we had to see what the big attraction was. It was well worth the wait. Had the foot long chili cheese dog and the banana split (that comes in a cup). They were both very good.

This is a neat little place and the locals seem to really love it. I had the grape milkshake which was a little odd at first but actually grew on me a lot. The chocolate dipped cone is good. Overall, this place was good. It isnt fancy ice cream, but we enjoyed it.

This place holds so many memories for me and each visit is truly... a delight. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The chili dogs are messy & delicious the way they are supposed to be! I go by at least once a week for a large vanilla cup that I can eat in for 2-3 days

Thanks to great thinking, our Kreme Delight has been able to remain open during the pandemic! Their makeshift drive thru is working great! And their ice cream treats are great as usual!

My family and I have been coming to this little place since before sliced bread was a thing. Okay.. maybe not THAT long, but you get the picture. Ive never been let down here whether I want a banana split, milkshake, ice cream sundae, or a hot dog, its always excellent. They accept cash and cards, but no checks. Theres decent covered seating around the back. Its lacking a bit in parking, but theres really nothing that can be done about it due to their location. Theres always ample parking across the street.

We waited about 8 cars deep in the drive thru line for ice cream that tasted to me exactly like dairy queen soft serve. Ice cream was fine, staff was polite but, I think I would just go to dairy queen and save myself some time.

You have to go here. Medium sized cone tor $2.00! Good Purity ice cream and the serve pretty good h it dogs too! It is a good thing I live 20 miles away or I would weigh on excess of 30 pounds! It is that good and one of Athens, Alabamas hidden treasures!

This is one of those mom and pop shops off the beaten path. And Ive never been (in the summer) when there was less than 15 people there. Theres no inside seating. You park, walk up to the window, place your order, then step to the side. Theres usually 2 windows open with 2 lines going. And 2 people taking orders, and 1 that preps orders. And the people taking the orders will slide to the back and prep food after 2 or 3 orders. They got milkshakes, cones, in a cup, etc etc. Milkshakes are made with actual ice cream and milk and syrup and made to order. Highly recommended. And try the peanut butter shake. Its amazing. With real peanut butter.

Ice cream is always great! I’ve came 3 time this week 🤦🏼‍♀️ but today i waited in line for 30+ minutes and watched the two girls working talk on their phones and stand around just having a great time while the line was wrapped around the building and they had no cares in the world.

This place is amazing! There is always a line in the evening, but worth the wait. 5 of us usually get dipped cones, all for under $10 bucks. Cant beat it!

This was a neat and unexpected find while put traveling. It appears to have been in business since the 1950s, just based on the look of their sign and the style of the building. My kids enjoyed the treat. Great cones!

Last two times I was there for an upside down banana split, they practically turn into strawberry milkshakes from so much of the syrup being put in the banana splits. Mind you I asked them to please drain the syrup so it would not be runny, even after leaving a generous tip both times I could not even eat half of the banana split.

Nice people! AMAZING ice cream. I didnt give it 5 because last time I went i ordered a hot fudge sundae. And instead of the fudge they put chocolate syrup. Didnt taste as good.

Ordered a banana split. Came in a cup. Ate about a third. NO BANANA. Went to the window & said I think you forgot the bananas. The girl says No, theyre at the bottom, keep on eating & youll find them. I ate another third & poked around... NO bananas. I went to the window & asked for my $$ back because I ordered a banana split. Ill come back & try again. They said No refund because I ate the ice cream. Seriously! How ridiculous. I asked BEFORE I had eaten it and THEY said to continue & bananas would be there! Be cautious: You order, they do what they want, its wrong & they keep your money. Poorly managed. Worse customer service.
