So relieved that this was a fantastic experience as it’s always daunting to try finding a mechanic that you can trust. After the clutch failed on my Subie and I had very few options in town to repair it, I knew I could potentially be laid over a barrel and taken advantage of. As far as I can tell, though, I was treated very fairly. PNW Automotive was very flexible and accommodating. Once I could actually get the vehicle to them, they got it diagnosed and fixed in two or three days at a reasonable price. Transmission work is never cheap. Furthermore, the interior had been vacuumed and they even left a Halloween goodie bag. 🙂

PNW Automotive saved my road trip after another company didn’t properly attached my skid plate after an oil change. They took a look at my car on a Saturday morning with no appointment and quickly had me back on the road. They were extremely friendly and helpful. Bonus points for Christmas, the adorable shop cat who entertained us while we waited. I will say I almost didn’t come to this location because Google Maps said I’d arrived while I was in the middle of the road with no sign of the shop. Just look up the hill and you’ll see it though. Definitely recommend!

PNW Automotive is the best! I had an 89 F-150 that had developed a lot of issues over the years. Engine, clutch, transmission, ignition, they made it purr, runs like a champ! Recently I upgraded to an F-150 4x4, 2001. Got it cheap, needed lots of work. Took it in to PNW Automotive for a work over. Picked it up the other day, feels like I am driving a new truck! Runs awesome. And the cost is always fair and reasonable, and they are open weekends.

PNW Automotive has been really helpful to me in the past and in my current car situation. I went in because my tires were suddenly messed up and they thankfully fit me in without any prior appointment.They got right to work on my car and were very kind to me as I was very stressed out and offered me coffee and in general were very nice-- plus they have two awesome kitty cats that will keep you company while you wait. They let you know the costs up front before they start working and dont charge anything until you know what the deal is and if you want to continue with the fix.They are very accommodating and I would definitely recommend coming here for any of your car troubles.

After our family of 5 went out to astoria to visit, we experienced car problems 20 miles outside of astoria, we managed to get to our destination, and we immediately started searching for a mechanic. We were surprised PNW was open on a Sunday, we called and we were greeted by a very nice secretary and she went above and beyond to schedule us in for the following day. We are happy to say, that the humanity side of this company is something we have never experienced in another repair shop. The owner and the secretary did everything they could to get our family back home. They gave us hope in what could have been a stressful situation. I would 101% recommend to take your business to this establishment.

The staff were very friendly. They diagnosed and repaired my car in a timely manner. Price estimates were available before repairs occurred; they were honest about potential issues, and told me what issues were actually hazardous versus those that I could safely put off for now. I was happy with the price they charged. They also left a lovely thank you for your business card in my car. When I brought it in, they offered me a loaner car. I dont know whether that incurs additional costs because I declined as I had alternate transportation available, but it might be nice to know that they offer this service. They also had at least 2 very cute and friendly cats on the premise. I am very satisfied with my service.

I finally found some 45long colt @ PNW Ammunition The experience was nice and easy on line ordering. They claim it will shipIn 4 to 5 days which would be nice Ive been over rounds for other pistols and rifles its been crazy man taking up to 10 to 15 days to get my orders in so well see what happens so far so good Im really happy with the company and the experience. I definitely use them again looking for 30-06 roundsIs nex for hunting. 🤪

I needed to get a new timing belt, and the 1st mechanic I called was quoting a ridiculous price. I decided to check reviews, PNW has an unbelievable positive reputation, so I decided to gamble. Im so glad I did 😌The repair was quick, and Jeremy was completely honest and transparent about what was wrong. I drove my Versa Note off the property satisfied and intending to keep them in mind for the future. Thats when things get interesting.I headed to Gearhart for a treat, and noticed the heater wasnt working. I also had dashboard lights blinking on. When my cruise control didnt engage, I called PNW and explained the issue. We agreed to bring it in the next day. Well, I broke down a few miles down the road 😔Friends, Jeremy worked quickly and prioritized my car even though he had plenty other customers. When I get the text to pick up my car, I expected a recap of what he did, and perhaps labor for a related part. The most amazing family! We took a road trip to Seaside with our little girls and ran into car trouble on the way back (alternater issues) PNW Automotive took us in right away and on a Sunday! Did an amazing job, gave us a loaner car, sanitized my vehicle, and at such a great price! We live 200 miles away from Astoria, they truly truly saved the weekend..

Very professional. Answers phone calls expeditiously, and dont leave you hanging. Estimated cost of the repairs was actually (more) than what I was charged upon completion of the job. (Old part) was kept to show me why it was not working properly without me having to ask for it. I was given a choice of a rebuilt or (new) replacement part and was given the difference in the cost for comparison. I was given 2 receipts, one for my records, and one to be kept with the warranty in case anything were to go wrong with the new part. Three year/36,000 mile warranty and Two year/24,000 mile roadside coverage.

Wow! Great service! Check engine light came on while on vacation, and within minutes, they ran diagnostics and found the problem. I was able to drive the 5 hours back home - and they didnt even charge me! Plus, there was a kitten there, and the overall experience was amazing!

So what positives can you take from your vehicle breaking down out of town and 150 miles from home and work on a Sunday no less? If you’re as fortunate as myself you could meet and be bailed out by Jeremy and Ashley at PNW! I love my older and more experienced BMW’s but the downside is apparent when you have a problem in a less populated area devoid of numerous technicians willing or able to lend a hand. I can tell you there was nothing more reassuring than hearing Jeremy’s voice when I called out of the blue on Sunday afternoon and he told me to bring it in first thing Monday to check it out! It only got better when I found myself apologizing for the car and he followed with “We love BMW’s”. As we had hoped it was a relatively simple fix(bad coil) however not roadworthy until diagnosed and repaired. This young couple’s pleasant can do attitude and absolute fairness was so impressive and served to remind us that there are still a few really good people doing really great business. We were driving and our battery light turned on. A few minutes later, everything started shutting down. Van wouldnt shift correctly and was making noise. We barely made it into les Schaub. Les Schaub said it was the alternator. We had to buy a battery just to drive from Seaside to Astoria where after calling everyone, PNW Automotive said they would do it that night (after hours) nobody else would. We were stranded otherwise. Jeremy replaced the alternator and even fixed our broken door hinge (no charge). They were so nice and did a fast, great repair. Even wrote us a nice card. We went out to long beach for the weekend from Portland and had car trouble in the evening on the way back. We called them to see if they could help and sure enough, even though it was late in the day they arranged a dropoff and allowed us to wait for our ride home past their normal hours. That plus all the previous reviews has me looking forward to them fixing whatever went wrong with our 2000 Tundra.

I have a CR-V thats old enough to drink and that came to me with little documented maintenance history and lots of interesting noises. Ashley and Jeremy were up for the challenge. They gave me a clear explanation of each issue so that I could understand as someone who is not a car person, along with a breakdown of the costs for all of the work. The whole process was totally transparent, their communication was top-notch, and my car is running great now! They also set me up with a loaner car while they were working on mine. I came to PNW for my brake lights and my AC. It was a super stressful week and my car was the absolute last thing I needed to deal with. They were able to take my car on a Sunday and fix everything by Monday. They communicated everything via text (super convenient!!) and made sure I was kept updated. When I picked up the car, they had vacuumed it and left me a sweet note and some hand sanitizer. Fair pricing, absolutely wonderful customer service, and adorable shop kittens to boot! I’ll be bringing my car back to them anytime I need work done!

On my way down to Astoria last weekend with my daughter, our Volvo started acting up and I wasnt sure who to call and where to take it...Friday afternoons are not typically a great time to have your car break down an hour away from home. Jeremy was able to get my car in right away and had ordered a replacement for the suspect part while I was en route, our suspicion was confirmed when he pulled the codes, and the faulty part swapped out. Great expirience having work done here. I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Had a complete engine rebuild, (valve came loose a dropped on the piston, pretty much destroying the motor. They have serviced my transmission, replaced the alternator, air conditioner pump and power steering pump. Also replaced the the front suspension components, ball joints, bushings and boots. All the work has been perfect, timely and at a good price. Friendly and knowledgeable people.

These folks are amazing, theyre honest, quick to the point and let you know future needs well in advance. I had them perform service on my 2018 kia Soul, no issues whatsoever!
