Himalayas Import carried Art handicrafts and antiques from Nepal and Tibet. This place brought back the memories of Nepal. In the beautiful town, this store pulled my attention and attracted me to enter. Felt like a home for a bit. The store owner was from Nepal and was very friendly. Wanted to pick up all the stuffs they had. Compared to so many other such stores this store had affordable price as well. Picked few stuffs as a souvenir from Nepal rather than from North Carolina. Most of the customer seemed to like their products. Highly recommended.

I am a local and spend 100s of dollars there. The lady was on the phone the whole time. made me leave the store to continue talking on the phone. I bought a shirt and didnt notice the pocket has a tear. She mocked me saying I spent 29$ and I ripped it. experience terrible. prices terrible. new employees terrible. they have lost my business forever. I hope you dont waste your money on cheap products from over seas. Please save yourself the time and shop online for cheaper!

My name is Dwayne D’Mac McMillan. I’m an independent recording artist that travels from South Carolina to Asheville to bless folks with my music. I know the owners of this location and they are very nice people. However, yesterday while busking at the flat iron where I normally busk sometimes.I must say the lady who was working in that store yesterday treated me with no respect! She came out and did not ask me to turn down but she demanded it! This is always the wrong way to communicate with anyone. Many folks were loving and enjoying my music just like they always do. This store worker called the cops on me twice for no reason. Her compliant was she could not hear! Really. no one has ever complained before because they know other people really enjoy my music. This worker operated in a very selfish fashion! The bottom line is she had no reason to do what she did other than pure hatred! This is what hate looks like in America up close and personal! This is my living and someone who is an employee at Himalay’s stop me from making money to help support my family! I’m a caregiver for my mother and father and I help them financially. This lady interrupted that for no reason at all other than hate! The sad thing is more people would stop in the shop because at times they stand around so more business would come to the shop but because of her hating ways she stopped so many good things from happening! This is the problem with America today! Hatred is a sick and evil force that divides us for no good reason at all! That’s why I promote love during my musical busking sessions. This employee needs to be tested for hatred! I would never employ a person who has hatred in their heart for other races of people!Dwayne D’Mac McMillan

I visit every time i find myself downtown; its easily one of the most interesting shops there. I had to finally write a review due to my visit yesterday. I had seen a crystal necklace last time i was there, and i came back to purchase it. Paige was happy to help me take the time to find the right size, and was an absolute joy to talk to; i thoroughly enjoy this shop every visit, and highly recommend!!

My mom and I stopped to look around this store and it is very neat. It has a sizeable collection of religious statues and ceremonial knives. They also had a unique collection of clothes, ranging from casual boho style to more traditional Himalayan-inspired wear. It is definitely worth a look around.

My experience buying handmade imported singing bowls from Himalayas Import was practically mystical! Every possible question I could have had was anticipated and answered before I could even ask. The bowls are very high quality and the price was competitive with online sources.

This place is really cool, they have a lot of stuff which I think is imported, I cant really speak to its authenticity. But my wife and I found a tree that was made with both of our gemstones, which was really cool. A lot of the stuff seems kind of expensive, but that seems right for this kind of shop.
