This is a wonderful friendly business that is community minded. They educated me as to what my needs would be and delivered a wonderful product in a timely manner. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Rubber and plastic waste was sold as topsoil. I bought a truck load of topsoil for $400 and it was full of rubber and plastic from artificial turf. When I complained, they gave me a refund but refused to take the material away. Now I have to deal with garbage in my yard.

Probably the nicest office staff of any business. Good pricesheet and my go to place for HDPE pipe. Even when I drive over to the soil/mulch yard to look at some material, the guy actually gets off the loader to explain the material more.My number one place I would recommend.

Ron saved me today. I had been hit on biltmore Avenue last night and sustained a flat tire in the accident. I dint have roadside assistance and it was late. I was able to park my car at the gas station overnight. When I returned today thinking I could handle the task of changing the tire, I was disappointed to realize it was more than I was capable of. Ron happened to be parked close by and my friend asked if he had a tool to lower my spare. Not only did Ron have the tool but he came over and did the entire job for us! He was so kind and courteous and refused financial compensation. There are good people left in this world. Although I am not yet a customer of riverside stump dump, I know I would patronize their business just because they employ a man like Ron. There’s no way I could have handled that situation today if he had not helped me. I’m truly grateful to him. I hope I have the opportunity to pay this forward and I pray that man is blessed. His mother did a great job!! Thank you, Ron. Thank you Riverside for hiring such quality people and I hope you know what a valuable employee you have. He deserves recognition.

Called a couple of places for topsoil delivery to Waynesville and Riverside Stump Dump was the friendliest and fastest. Great customer service and same day delivery available. Thank you!

Im a local construction company owner, weve been making purchases from the Riverside Stump Dump for a few years now. I dont often review businesses but I felt compelled to put it out there how impressed I am with the folks there. How friendly and kind they are, especially the people in the office. I have and often do recommend them to others.

Really nice folks with great service and prices. I bought a bunch of 2ft culvert pipe and 30 yards of fill dirt, both delivered quickly and carefully. best prices on fill dirt around. Will be buying mulch next! Keep up the great work!

Brian helped me out big time by connecting me with a source for wood chips, even though I didnt have a big job for him. Super personable and helpful, I cant recommend these guys enough!

I went over there with a trailer to try and pick up some (overpriced) topsoil. The man in the shack at the entrance was very standoffish and rude, and told me to call and schedule an (overpriced) dropoff since they wont let you pick it up yourself. I called several times and nobody picked up, so I left a voicemail with my information and as of now its been a few days and still nobody has reached out to me. Dealing with these people is an unpleasant waste of time.

What a rip off. The old man charged me $120 to dump just because I had one small half of a stump. I will not take anything else here!!

My experience is strictly with the Riverside Dr. location. I have purchased mulch here for many years. I have found the product consistently inferior to what I get at other mulch yards, but I dont expect to get $25/yd quality for $18, so that has never been a sticking point with me. What led me to post this review is that on my last visit, I noticed the dispatcher was packing some serious heat in plain view in his waistbelt. Im sure this would not be a problem for some people, but if youre like me the implication that the facility is so unsafe as to be life-threatening, or that the proprietor might be inclined to pull his weapon on a disgruntled customer, thats enough for you to take your business elsewhere. No matter the price.

This facility has raised their prices repeatedly over a year from $14 to $25/truckload for drop off. They process and sell mulch from the yard trimming people pay to drop off.I have lived in four states over the last ten years. This is the only mulch yard which charges for drop off. Every state, including Texas, Pennsylvania, and Wyoming, was happy to take the yard waste for free. After all, they process it into mulch for sale. Not only is this the only place I know of which charges for the waste, they continuously raise their rates!I was told today to burn my waste if I did not like their prices. I have a burn area on my property. My property makes enough clean up that I could have burned all day, with Buncombe County approval. We get the option to burn because we are not in Asheville proper.I choose not to burn for a couple of reasons. One, I am burning. Just doing so is offensive in a day when we know the consequences of such. My burn pile is also close to a neighbors property. If I burn they get to deal with the smoke the entire time. On a Saturday, a day traditionally at home for most families, I think it would be rude. Third, I cannot afford a mulcher which can handle tree limbs. I clean my yard with a saw, rake, clippers, and shovel. I have a LOT of detritus.I let them know today would be my last time. They position their facility as being green. And yes, it is in that they process yard waste. They do so, however, at high prices and with attitude. Never will I spend another dollar to drop off waste or purchase their mulch.

These folks are an absolute pleasure to work with, and have a conversation with. I highly recommend their services and value the relationship with their company.
