Maybe theyve improved over the months.But I dropped 5 Hard Drives off back in February to get info retrieved from them. 9 months later, still no correspondence. I called them the first few weeks. They hadnt gotten to them. I have been working with this company personally for 3 years and never have I been disappointed. Mr. Parks is at the top of the computer knowledge realm. And, if there are any additional items (software, monitors, etc.) needed, he is the one to see. Miracles? Yeah these guys rock. I went to Best buy they couldnt do anything for me like at my computer or have a charger I went to parks and I got everything done my computer fixed and a charger in less than 10 minutes

Parks computers staff is awesome. The computers that they sell are first quality and at a good price. But the best thing about them is the support that they provide both at your site and at theirs. The support is quick, skillful, and informative (in words that you dont have to be a computer guru to understand). We are so pleased that they are there for us.

Very honest and professional

Ive been a customer of Parks for about 7-years. Ive seen them grow to meet the challenges and needs of the customers. This is no easy job-highly detailed and we need results NOW (i know I can be pretty demanding), otherwise our lives fall to pieces. Ryan and Gage show up smiling and ready to help. They have supported me through several laptops, operating system, upgrades and hard drive recoveries. They answer the phone and assist with my questions often at no charge and their prices for repairs are very inexpensive. When they make recommendations its based on whats best for their customers, not whats best for themselves. An example of over top service, I forgot my charger once when traveling. They were going to ship (because they own the shipping company next door) a charge to me in Missouri overnight to keep me running. They believe in hard work and pleasing the customer. They encouraged me to purchase a solid state hard drive because I was so frustrated with my speed and use my laptop on the go. I thank them every day for this advice. Computing is a whole ball game with Solid State. Thanks guys!!

Best computer repair and purchase experience Ive ever had. Gage and Ryan built me an amazing computer based on my specific needs (business related use) and even saved me some money. They also will handle my repairs and warranty claims with HP. The icing on the cake was that Gage was able to get all of the data off of my fried hard drive and load it onto the new computer. I dropped off a computer to be repaired nine months ago and still have not gotten my computer back. I contacted the shop several times to see if it was ready and I got the run a around every time. At one point they could not even find my computer in that mess of a shop. I finally gave up and just counted it as a loss. I will never do business here again and discourage anyone else from doing so. As you can see from the other reviews, this seems to be a pattern with this place.

They are miracle workers and will loan you a computer free of charge while working on yours. Theyre responsive, caring, and knowledgeable. I recommend without hesitation.

Lots of people have their go to computer repair shop in Asheville, and though I live 45 minutes away mine is still Parks Computers. Ryan and his staff have always been courteous, respectful, fair, and fast no matter if it was the cracked monitor screen I dropped and needed to be replaced despite being out of warranty and several shipping mishaps, the timely repair I needed during the time of the Cornoa virus today, or the ongoing digital support offered through the interactive Parks System Upkeep tool. I kind of dont want to leave this review for fear that others will swamp them with business and thus make any future work I need get delayed, but the juice is worth the squeeze here and I look forward to continuing to give them on the Lenova laptop I bought almost a decade ago. -=JR=-

The Best IT Service EverI have been working with Ryan Parks for more than 15 years, and he makes my business run. He is expert and skilled and can always figure out problems. When computers fail, I send my laptops back to him rather than work with a local provider.I have read the negative posts, and I disagree with the harsh assessments. Ryan runs his company like a business - extremely professionally, but works in a difficult industry. People contact him when they are experiencing technology failures, which is obviously a stressful time as it compromises their work processes. However, it is unfair to slander Ryan due to having unreasonably high expectations. Your computers will die, both after several years of use or unexpectedly. You will have virus issues occasionally, and software will be difficult to figure out. Ryan is a miracle worker, but he cant save everything. He also books out with service calls and planned work, because he is excellent. If you have to wait for his time, it is 100% worth it.

I was extremely pleased with both the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They have both technical know-how and patience to answer my many questions...and I ask a lot of questions! Keep up the good work!

I have been taking my computers to Parks Computers for years now. No matter what the problem, Ryan and his staff work tirelessly to find me a solution. I have even purchased computers and printers from them, because I trust their expertise on advising me on the best technology to meet my needs. I dont know what I would do without Parks Computers!

They have quality service their kind and courteous they understood that I had a work-from-home job and gave me a computer well a loaner computer until mind was ready

Beware. Avoid this place. Gave them my laptop to diagnose and repair. Three weeks later (after multiple calls,) they had to admit they had not looked at it. Next call (five days later,) they said they had BUT they admitted they had lost the hard drive. It never surfaced. They STILL charged me the entire cost of a new drive. No apologies - no return of the bad hard drive. Asheville has some excellent computer repair places. This is, based on my experience, not one of them.

We find Parks Computers to be very professional and knowledgeable. Theyve helped us on many occasions over the years. And they came up with an excellent solution for our constant virus infections that have saved us a lot of time and money (in repairs). They go above and beyond the call of duty to meet our computer needs.

I recently bought a laptop from Ryan. He spent considerable time with me to determine what I needed, which was considerably less price wise, than what I thought. But when I wanted more, he offered me a price less than the box stores for the same item. And he removed all the programs I didnt want while installing his maintenance package and my data. Only had it two weeks, but so far very happy. One minor issue, if you arent a major client, everything takes at least twice as long as he promises.

If there were negative stars I would give this business as many negative stars as possible. I took a friends laptop to this place over 5 months ago for a possible repair. It took over a month just to get ANY information that they had even looked at the computer. Then many more weeks after that to find out what if anything they were doing with it. After at least 3 months and several phone calls and notification that I was just going to pick the laptop up and forget it, I was convinced by Mr Parks that he had a similar laptop that he just got in that he would swap out some parts between the two and get it up and running. Fast forward another month or more.. and MY calling to find out what was going on, because he NEVER contacted me with any updates, he tells me the swap out of parts was successful, the computer is up and running and I could come pick it up. I go to pick it up, hes not there, another gentleman who was there has no idea at all where the computer was, no paperwork.. just the deer in the headlight look. I asked him to contact Mr Parks and let me know what was going on. He never did. I call again... nothing. I go back in again and demand to know what is going on. This same gentleman calls me back and tells he me has the laptop and that NOTHING actually had been done to it. NO swap out of parts, nothing. Even though I was told by the owner that it was ready to pick up and he had swapped out parts. My cost was to be 150.00 I went back after 5 plus months, picked up a still broken computer from a totally inept, unprofessional business. When I picked up the computer, I told the gentleman that I was VERY SORRY i had ever walked in the door of that place. I asked him if this was how they normally treat their customers. He simply stared at me and never even said a word. PATHETIC.

Great technical skills and service. Has kept my laptop alive for EIGHT years, but its time to replace it with a new all-in-one PC. Theyll even transfer my data after they scan it for viruses.

I have been using Ryan Parks as my IT guy for appx. 5 years and I really couldnt be happier with him. Hes a very pleasant straight-shooter and he has taught me so much about computers and straightened out many problems with my PC. I have, also, bought various equipment from him, at competitive prices, that Im very pleased with. Owner was nice on the phone, however I wasnt 100% confident in technicians diagnosis. Unfortunately they dont carry much stock in store so he was testing a solution with borrowed parts. I then had to go to Best Buy to purchase what he suggested and it did not work.

Ryan is the only computer tech we will ever use. Hes been delivering amazing service on our business and personal computers for over a decade.

I dropped my laptop off in September, 2016, they said it would be done in a couple weeks (just asked him to backup my data and wipe the harddrive). It is now January and they still have it. They have not kept any communication with me. I was calling once per week to get updates on how it was going and they told me I didnt have to and they would call me. A month went by without hearing from them so I called again, the owner contacted me to apologize for their lack of communication and said he would do everything to get it back to me ASAP. Another three weeks after that conversation theyre still telling me it will be done this afternoon or tomorrow or by the weekend...An entire seasons worth of work Ive missed because of their lack of expertise, communication and organization.I am appalled with their lack of customer service and overall unprofessionalism. I chose Parks computers to support a local repair shop. I will never return again and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if things are not settled in an appropriate manner soon.Dont waste your time and money at Parks Computers, there are many other repair shops much more worth your time and effort.I will revise this review if my laptop is ever returned to me.EDIT: After over 6 months I got my laptop back and it still did not work right. They wiped the entire hard drive, installed an absurd amount of spam apps that slowed my machine and changed all my basic sounds to these very strange twangy noises vs the default computer sounds. Now whenever I close my laptop and go to re-open it it will not turn back on. I let them know about this and they again took my laptop for another week. They returned it to me a week later and it worked fine for about a month. One month later and my laptop again wont turn back on if you close the lid without doing a full re-set. Parks computers ruined my laptop and lost me thousands of dollars of work in the time they kept it from me. I will not be returning and I strongly advise any future patrons avoid this place unless you have 6 months to spare to not get your machine back.Oh, and after all of this and multiple apologies they still charged me full price.
