Prices tend to be a little high and coupons available in the app favor online shoppers. Still, the selection is great and there are often good in-store coupons available. Employees are generally friendly and helpful.

Gave this store another shot after encountering a rude employee on the phone. Im glad I did! Curbside service was very quick and friendly. The website asked me to rate the transaction, and I gave it/the lady who helped me 5 stars!

Store was well stocked. Lots of Halloween, fall and winter holiday fabrics and crafts. Danielle at the cash register was awesome.

Excellent experience. I felt like I was a tad bit of a nuisance customer ( unpriced items in the clearance bin). But everyone was extremely patient and we found the correct prices. Got my deals. This is my go to store for craft items.

I only go to Joann Fabrics if I cant get what I need anywhere else. Selection is usually good but prices are consistently the highest in town.

I could shop all day. I think the staff needs to be more knowledgeable. I ask a worker about some silk. She had no idea not did she try to help me find out.

It has a lot of good things but the prices at Joanns is too high for most crafters to afford. Id shop there more if they would drop their prices considerably.

They have many Fabrics, sewing notions and supplies, and needlework supplies. Their prices are not the cheapest, but they do have a wide variety of things available.

Great selection of craft and sewing goods. Loved to see all the clothing patterns. Very friendly staff who made sure customers were serviced quickly at the registers.

My complaint is that theres a sign on the door requiring masks but the person cutting my fabric, crooked, did not have a mask and was looking at the fabric with her face 6 inches away from it. I wouldnt want someone doing that before the pandemic and much less now.

Dislike this location. It’s small, cramped and does not have a good variety of many things I’ve found at others. They DO have an over abundance of baby flannel. Check out lines are always long.

Compared to Michaels, from cooking to crafting stuff, they just have everything you want in stock that maybe sold out down the road, and with more options.

Prefer it over Michaels, just realize their standard practice is to double the price over what it should be, and then sell it for 50% off.

Large store. One 1/2 is fabric. The other 1/2 is crafts, decor, storage, ribbons, lights, and other non fabric items. Most staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I do wish that they sorted their knits by material better and separate the character fabric by material. To find the knit character fabric, you have to look and feel almost the whole isle of bolts to find it mixed in with cotton.

I needed to buy fabric to redo my dining room chairs. When I entered the store I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of excellent quality fabrics. Fabrics can be expensive but Joann had 40% off and they gave me an additional 20% off even though I didnt have a coupon. The staff were very helpful and do an excellent job. I highly recommend this store for fabrics and other sewing and crafting supplies.

As usual the gentleman at the register was kind and provided excellent customer service. The only reason I didn’t give five stars was a girl named Jodi who he had called to request a break. She was so disrespectful to him. Rolling her eyes, sighing, signing in to a register with aggravation. I was uncomfortable for him. I could barely keep my mouth shut. I’ve never seen this kind of poor attitude in the Asheville store. As soon as he walked away, she left the front unattended. He asked kind young lady who gladly accepted. I asked him about the incident as he walked by. He said “I just need to keep smiling and take care of my customers”

Staff was great very helpful found exactly what I was looking for and could not find in many other stores in the Asheville area giving the store a great big thumbs up

Good selection of craft supplies. First time visiting multiple JOANN Staff were accusatory and rude about keeping their boxes. Cared more about their empty cardboard boxes than helping customers. Weird!

It had everything I needed, I met a really nice lady there and the only slightly downside was they were super busy and it took a while to check out.

As a fiber artist I totally love this store. The Staff is extremely helpful, the selection of merchandise is abundant and they usually stock everything that anyone would need. Should I mention their sales and coupons and seasonal decorations?!?! I could go on but you get the idea, its a great place to shop.

They also have all kind of other craft supplies. You can sign up on line and receive coupons to go along with the great sales that they have. Great place to shop!

I bring my daughter here often for Fabrics and sewing needs. She makes letters for sororities and fraternities at her school. The staff is always very helpful and attentive and she gets what she needs quickly and easily. Im always surprised at what she buys and what comes out as a finished product. If you have any creativity at all oh, this is a good place to shop!

Prices are ridiculous. I recommend Foam & Fabric in Fletcher for better pricing, specifically on upholstery supplies. JoAnn is a last resort if I cant get what I need elsewhere.

A useful place for crafting supplies and fabric. Always clean and well organized. The staff are eager to help. Dont forget to check for coupons online makes check out cheaper for most items.

Great fabric selection. I love the selection of fat quarters. That is what I build my stash on. If I have all the fabric that I need for a quilt but need a great solid then I can go here and find exactly what I need. Love the coupons that you can use. I love their holiday or season section. You never know what you will find. The staff is friendly as well.

By far, the worst shopping experience at a Joann Fabrics ever! I placed an online order and got a text saying it was ready. Drove an hour to get there and order was incomplete, and what WAS cut, was short on yardage. Wait in checkout line was long and staff members were unfriendly and rude. Wont be visiting or ordering anything online for pickup at that store again. I will drive further to get better customer service if items are not available at my local store or for shipping. I will also be returning what I did get to my local store for a refund.

Such helpful staff and so much fabric from lightweight quilting bolts to heavy plastic-coated outdoor fabrics - we found just what we were looking for!

Jo-Ann fabrics and crafts has everything you need when it comes to your hobbies definitely recommend it they have competitive pricing.

If you are doing crafts, quilts or fleece you will like this store. Also great sales on patterns. They dont stock high end clothing fabrics.

Its always a joy to visit here. Theres always something new. They really know how to decorate the store and draw your attention. If you do crafts you can usually find what you need here. I love to walk every aisle so I dont miss anything.

I love JoAnn Fabrics but I always have to wait in a line behind 5 people while the cashier waits to call for backup.

I went looking for something specific. Check out line was quite long & slow moving. There were a few other employees in the store, but they would not speak to anyone. They kept their heads down & kept walking. There were others in the store having the same issue. Its too bad this is the atmosphere

I have never see the shelves so empty. I asked if a certain yarn would be carried as a regular item . The answer was yes so I got it. When I went back for more of the same yarn I was told it was discontinued. Its hard to find the yarn u wanted today because of empty shepves

Ive always loved this store, last time I visited I was so happy with how kind the staff was even though I had my angry teething baby with me. Patience and a good sense of humor really makes me feel at home when shopping.

Firstly I would like to let it be known that my wife is a very frequent shopper of Joanns in Asheville. That being said she was in this store today looking to buy a new sewing machine. As she was looking at the different machines they had on display to see what would best fit her needs she was watched and then approached and told all the accessories had been removed because people were stealing them. I understand this as I work in a place where this occurs. However I do not treat all my customers as if they were thieves. We will never shop this store again nor any other Joanns. I really wish I could just get the money from her gift card so we could spend it with someone else!!!!

Love the place! My go to for a lot of my crafting needs. They have a wiiiiide selection of fabrics, sure but also other general crafting/art related goods. Better IMO than hobby lobby (heavier on home decor) and michaels (more expensive with less selection and if it /is/ cheaper the items in question tend to be lower quality). 10/10 will be back many times, Im sure!

Kudos to Mary and Art! They saved my life today-- or at least my wallet. After spending two hours trying to pick out the right red color for a project and bothering Mary with a ton of questions-- she was nothing but polite and professional. After placing a special order for more fabric from another store, I left my wallet back at the fabric table and went to pay. While I was having an anxiety attack, Mary had found the wallet and brought it to me while I was searching the store. Art was very empathetic and caring in my situation.I had a terrible time at the Joanns in Pigeon Forge the day before while I was out of town, and coming back home to Asheville today reminded me why I love the staff in the Asheville JoannesThe team keeps their store perfect, with put up bolts of fabric and always provide amazing customer service. Always clean, organized and stocked to the gills. When it comes to crafting these things are more than appreciated. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

Neat stuff, clean, bathrooms need a lil help, and I think stuff is overpriced....my reason for 4 stars. But some may be okay with prices. However, I think its overpriced.
