We didnt go into the shop. We just walked around the site. The murals werent part of the shop. Its worth going to see the works done by the artists in the buildings that make up the complex. We didnt have enough time do really appreciate the place. Please do!

I buy from Mountain Glass regularly & couldnt be happier. The team is prompt, the order is always correct, and the glass is packaged well. Ive never received a broken tube or rod in the mail when they ship it! Their prices are competitive, and even if its not always the cheapest, their service is top notch and worth the extra couple bucks. Whenever they notice something unusual about an order, they call me to discuss it and make sure I meant to send the order I did. My poor boyfriend. He is a glass blower and we drive from Johnson City to do the sad state of picking up purchases here. Every time it is very standoffish and you never know what quality of items you will get. Example - he ordered a rod of specialty glass and it was thin and then thick in the middle and all “messed up,” completely useless for his purpose. I do wish they would take the Ashville sticks up their butts and open up in store shopping at this point.

Its always something with this place. Ive had issues with these guys since day 1 I started melting glass. Super expensive, shipping is absolutely ridiculous. Couldnt even walk in to pick out what rods or tubes I needed. Make sure you weigh, caliper, and inspect your order. Lampwork supply online is a way better option.

One of the staff, Miller, was incredibly helpful and answered every question I had. He went out of his way to help me with my order and is a great customer service representative. If you order any type of glass or any tools to work with it, I recommend this company for their wide range of knowledge and their customer service.

Mountain glass arts has been nothing but amazing to order from since i started flameworking. Fast shipping and always accurate. Im just starting out so i order a bunch of colors but only 1 or 2 ounces of said colored glass at a time and they have always got my orders right. They call you promptly if something is up with the order which is a great courtesy. They are everything you want in a company.

Bought Y oxygen connector about three months ago. Since time of purchase havent had the chance to use the item until last week. Upon hooking the Y oxygen connector up determined the item has a manufacture defect, tubing through the Y connect is solidly sealed off. No oxygen was able to pass through the Y connect. Felt skittish on how returning this piece three months from time of purchase would go over. Reached out to Mountain Glass, they were completely apologetic and more than willing to exchange the item for a new replacement. My experience onsite and online has been nothing short of a wonderful experience. Cant be happier with Mountain Glass Arts being my glass supplier. Thank you!

Fabulous finds for the glass worker. Geared more towards Boro but a good selection of soft glass as well. Extremely knowledgeable staff that answers any questions you might have. There are places you can order your soft glass cheaper but this is a good place to start so you can see and touch the glass.

You can find just about every color of boro and soft glass, even from some of the newer companies coming out! Any price range of tools, depending on what you’re working with. The customer service is unparalleled and incredible. I’ve been buying all of my glass and tools from them for over a year now, and everyone I’ve spoken to on the phone and e-mail have been so pleasant, kind and helpful. They are always happy to answer my questions (and sometimes I have a lot of them!) and any time I’ve had an issue (which has been nothing major) they have done everything they can to make it right, quickly. I have even bought my kiln from them, which is a major piece of equipment but it arrived perfectly and has been an excellent asset to my studio. No problems at all with it. No issues with my torch either, and I’ve had it for going on 2 years now. Planning on purchasing my next torch from them, for sure. I will continue to buy my glass and all of my tools and supplies from them as long as I continue blowing glass, which with luck will be forever. In May 2019 I ordered a Bethlehem Bravo torch from Mountain Glass Arts. I wasn’t sure about whether my concentrators would run it or not so I called MGA before I ordered. MGA is by far one of the best supplier for anyone who works with glass. First is the selection; all the major manufactures of Boro color and several different manufactures of clear.Also their customer service is great! If you email them they get back to you very fast with answers to all your questions. I emailed them about a torch by GTT the not only gave me a wait time but also made other recommendations on torches and other places to call.Finally if you ever need to return anything, all you need to do is make a quick call, get an RA number and send it off. No problems!
