My granddaughter needed a good quality guitar for a rock band class at her middle school. Shes never played guitar before, and we received great support from the staff to find a guitar with great sound at an affordable price, plus the beginners gear to equip her for the challenges of learning this new instrument. We are very impressed with Guitar Centers selection and price range. When shes ready for a higher end guitar, theres no question of where we will be shopping!

I ordered a New Sun Valley Super Shredder from MF that was fulfilled by this location. My Schecter arrived in a single (not double or factory boxed) oversized Dean box stuffed with a trash bag full of bubble wrap. It was missing the wiggle stick, truss and trem adjustment keys, and any normal inserts (such as warranty card ect) I am absolutely surprised that it arrived in one piece this way. There is also an issue with either the switch or volume pot. I would feel embarrassed shipping someone a guitar this way.

Ive been here multiple times and had multiple bad experiences.They will start helping you and just walk away, waited 15 minutes for a sale that we started and the person helping went and checked out another three customers and never came back.Ive been shopping with guitar center for years and this is by far the worst guitar center I have ever shopped at.

I have loved going to GC since I was a kid. Hours spent playing instruments, talking to folks, learning things and dreaming of when I would be able to buy the things I wanted. Fast-forward 15 years and I can! I have bought 2 amp and 3 guitars from this location since last November, along with an abundance of accessories. Thousands of dollars spent here but I consistently feel like I am bothering some of the employees when I ask them anything. I do ask a lot of questions and I get that that can be frustrating when you have a floor full of other potential customers, but thats the customer service industry and I almost ALWAYS spend money when I come in. Last I went in I was having issues with a mid key board I had and rather than answer my questions about how to work with this product they suggested I just return it. So I did and went to get a similar product somewhere else. I work customer service. Have for 10 years, but I never treat customers like they are bothering me when they ask me questions. No matter how common sensical they may seem. If you cant be bothered to answer my questions before I spend money at your location, I can be bothered to give you my business. Do better guys... Except Beau. He was a champ!

Sabato has the coolest hair and is one 3-5 GC employees I feel are truly excellent at what they do. 😎 seriously though. He cares, gives it his all, and is great to work with.

Guitar Center is AMAZING! A music store for both novice and expert musicians. While specializing in a astounding assortment of guitars, they also sell a wide variety of drum sets, keyboards, and pro audio as well. It’s truly a sight to see, many of these instruments are works of art. The sales staff is knowledgeable and helpful- informative, not pushy. They rent equipment and provide lessons as well. I highly recommend Guitar Center!

This is probably my most favorite place in the world no matter how hard I try I always get stuck in there for hours like today for instance was there for 2 hours just for guitar strings keep up the good work guys

Plenty of selection and the guitar area is good. The keyboard area needs better care as they are difficult to shop for with no prices and model numbers in several models.

I had a package ordered to the store with the specific reason of wanting to talk with an employee about options for the specific package I got...was waiting for an Umberto...lemme tell ya customer service goes A LONG way an the lack there of also speaks volumes. Bought a zvex fuzz factory used and it came from this location. I asked about when it’d ship and they were super responsive. Had it out ASAP and I got it a day later thanks to ups overnight. In perfect working order and with the original box. Highly recommend.

Not as good as they used to be, they stopped carrying half of what I go there for and their inventory is minimal at best. I normally have to go online at other companies to get what I want. Such a shame, used to be an awesome place to go get stuff when I wanted it.

Brought in a small guitar wed recieved as a gift. We needed a new string and a tune. Instead of selling us a new string and tuning the guitar. They told us it sucked, was not playable, that it was just a toy and that we should buy a new $500 guitar instead. It made our entire family uncomfortable. We did not ask for a review on the guitar we brought in, we just asked for a string. If it couldnt have been fixed, then say so. I cannot afford a $500 guitar, my kid did not need to embarrassed because we were trying to make the best of a gift wed received.

It has a huge variety musical equipment including VERY high end guitars (10,000$) to used (64$), amplifiers, drums, keyboards and anything that goes with.I disliked the hurried pace, the guys must be paid commission.Parking is easy., access to store not bad.

Just got a set of speakers and had some questions about midi instruments at this location and Humberta one of the employees did a great job helping me out with what I needed

I like looking at the instruments and microphones but this place was really small and crowded. There were many workers at every corner that it was a little be awkward to just look comfortably. We were looking for a guitar and the acoustic guitar room is small and there is no volume control for the room. The floor was dirty and many of the guitars were out of tune and some were missing strings as well.

Called in to ask questions about pricing and brands and was basically made to feel like I was a bother. Ill shop elsewhere where my business is desired.

Got this wonderful love from guitar Carter. Atmosphere is fun and great. Love the acoustic guitar room. People very helpful and great personalities. I could easily spend forever there and empty my bank.

Went in to replace a cord that has a lifetime warranty but they were out. Ill come back Saturday. Nice guys.

Online ordering and customer service is poor. I ordered an amp, it came in fine. I did not set up an account at the time. Now I get emails from them and when I try to unsubscribe I need to CALL them to cancel. What is this about? I then get an off shore call center and had to spend 10 minutes trying to get it removed.

Its November 2020, and there are great deals happening. Nice staff will help you find what you need in your own music set up. There is quite the selection of guitars, live equipment and recording gear. And the drums are out of this world.

Ive bought eight guitars from this Guitar Center, 2 used. 6 new. Ive never overpaid and most of the guys are helpful even if you just need advice and theyre busy. In other towns, I look for GC first, my home away from home.

Bought a Les Paul at this location because it sounded amazing, but it never really felt good in my hands, so I quit playing it. Two years later, I reluctantly gave it back to Adam at the Arvada Guitar Center for some adjustments.I always have a tough time picking an unknown barber, mechanic, etc.. you know that feeling.. Will they make it worse? Will they treat my guitar like one of their own?Adam called me back in half the time I thought it would take, and said my guitars ready.Back home, and I cant believe how much better it is. It feels like my guitar, instead of the weird hunk of wood I never liked.High five, man! I really appreciate your work, and Im looking forward to keeping this instrument in the rotation!!

Im a college student visiting Colorado to snowboard and am taking a remote learning guitar course as an elective for my degree. I called around the area to see if it would be possible to rent a practice room for my class. The person who answered the phone the first time was very nice and said they could make that work. Day of class I drive an hour and thirty minutes from Breck and give them another call to make sure Im still good. A different employee answers who is also very nice so I explain the situation and he transfers me to one of the lesson room coordinator guys. This guy is rude off the bat and tells me they cant work with me because Im taking a class from a different instructor. I tell him its a college course and I am willing to rent the room thinking there might be some misunderstanding but he refuses to help. There was more to the conversation but the whole tone was condescending and unhelpful.This is not the customer service Im familiar with at guitar center. I ended up sitting in my rental car on zoom explaining to my teacher the situation. We both agree this is not a good way to build customer loyalty. Disappointed in the Arvada Guitar Center..

Very helpful staff! Im well versed in music but have little knowledge when it comes to the hardware. Chris found the perfect mic & soundboard for me and was very straightforward with what my best options were going to be, while still keeping my budget in mind. Will definitely be returning for future musical endevors.

I bought a $400 guitar on sale for $300 (Christmas special), an Ibanez RG series. An otherwise unaffordable guitar made affordable.... wow.... what could go wrong? Once I received it, horrible fret buzz. High E and B strings were unplayable on frets 1-4. Looking down fretboard from bridge, fretboard torqued. Went to store, they stated they do not have those models available anywhere. Trying to get a replacement, basically, all I got was well, you only spent this much (sorry it was on sale) so, all you can get is this no brand. Sorry, dont know what to tell you. Just seems like a really poor way to do business.

I cant say enough about this location, the Store Manager, Darryl and the Regional Vice President, Rick Wallis. I had a horrible situation at another Colorado GC location and contacted GC Corporate.Rick Wallis contacted me almost immediately and apologized profusely and promised to make it right. To make a long story short, Rick and Darryl were the coolest guys and were truly sincere. They MORE than made everything right.I honestly cant say enough about those guys and how they handled the situation. Im a LIFELONG Guitar Center - Arvada customer and highly recommend that if you are looking for gear...call Darryl. Hell treat you right, guaranteed.Thank you Rick and Darryl.

The Wal-Mart of Guitars. The cashiers think so much of themselves they forgot the customers. They gossip about the skills of people looking to buy and run off more people than not. The selection is good but only priced just under the nearest competitor. NEVER TAKE A GUITAR THER TO BE WORKED ON!!!! A 3 day job ( they promised it would be done)Stretched into 3 months. A simple switch wiring wasnt even done! They STILL tried charge for it then promised it would be free. In the end I had to do it. Even bought a guitar to practice on in the meantime. They wouldnt take it for trade in after mine was done. Poor service.

I purchased my first guitar/amp set-up of my life via their website using the ship-to-store option. Once inside, I was acknowledged quickly. However, the employee proceeded to drop my guitar while bringing it up front on a dolly (albeit in a box, but still horrible), TWICE! Their employee also assumed all my gear was in the two boxes he grabbed out of a stock room. However, had I not meticulously checked, I would have arrived home without my guitar stand. Overall, the quality of the gear is great. But, the quality of the gear I bought is not the reason for only 3 stars. This review is primarily about the customer service I received at this specific Guitar Center. Three stars because the gear is great and Im sure a different employee would have handled my gear with care.

Got my 🎸 tuned up, got some new picks along with extra strings. Customer service was great, a little wait but its almost Christmas. :) I definitely will go back soon, all in all in and out 35 to 40 minutes.

Call ahead if you want something that’s listed on the website and is shown is in the store. There have been several occasions where they don’t have the thing I saw was listed online. Also, there have been multiple occasions where they tried to sell me opened / damaged equipment with missing peripherals at full price. Usually they’re pretty good at giving a little discount when I point it out but they have been sneaky about that kind of thing, especially recently. Some of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable but those encounters are kind of rare. I assume it depends on how busy they are but customer service is sort of an afterthought here. Generally I like going here for the convenience and their generous return policy but the last few times I’ve had interesting customer service experiences. Most recently the sales person argued against everything I wanted to purchase which was degrading and condescending. Like I came here to get my stuff and leave not get life advice. Bottom line is I don’t think I will be coming back to this location for a while.

Rude staff. Guy with a beard looks like he just rolled out of bed. Lazy staff that didnt want to help me find a keyboard. Looking for something fun and colorful for my kid and nobody wanted to help. More concerned about social distancing themselves from customers then making sales I guess. Stupid place.

My experience:- started online when I found a cable I needed for project the same day.- store details showed that the item was in stock at the location near me.- ordered the parts i need and received a confirmation. this was 9am- at 5pm I still had not received a notification that my parts were ready so I tried calling the local store. the number rang until I was disconnected. twice.- I tried calling the 800 number for customer service for online orders. when I got to a person they informed me that the items I wanted were in stock at the store but my order would not be ready until tomorrow. when I told the rep. this was unacceptable they suggested simply going to the store and buying the item and cancelling the online order. he assured me they had enough stock and they were only opened for another 2 hours.- I believed him and went to the store to learn that they did not have the item that both the website and the customer service rep assured me was there.This was only my recent experience. My other experiences with Guitar Center through the years I have worked a musician has been mostly disappointing. Im sure the people who work there are great and doing their best but its clear that their systems are broken. there is often no correlation between what you see online and what they have in store. I wish there was another viable solution for a local retailer that carries this kind of gear. I guess, Ill have to plan better in the future so Im not stuck with trying buying from a company that cannot deliver.

Three of the five guitars in this photo were purchased used from Guitar Center. Shopping on line makes every GC in the country, your local store. Find what you want, have it shipped to your store and a few days later, play it, dig it and its yours. If it is not what you expected, its still theirs, after the customary paperwork. Shopping/looking/playing is not discouraged though I have felt like causing mayhem to a budding thrasher with a love of volume.

Customer service was terrible, employee acted like it was a huge inconvenience that I was asking for information on a product I was buying. Every time I’ve been to this location they’re rude.
