I wanted to thank the entire team at the Wedding Seamstress for my amazing gown. My mom passed away when I was eight and my dad passed away just two years ago so it was really important to have a part of them at my wedding. I brought my moms 80s gown in, explained what I wanted and the team did an amazing job transforming it into exactly what I wanted. Everyone I worked with was friendly, helpful and made the process easy and fun. I would highly recommend them for any Mothers Makeover or any altering.

Deedee and her team are wonderful to work with and all of my dresses have came out perfect! I have been here 3 times, once for my wedding dress and the other two times for bridesmaid dresses. The most recent dress was way too small as I am 7 1/2 months pregnant and did not get a maternity dress. Deedee and her team worked their magic and the dress is perfect! I had my wedding dress altered at the Wedding Seamstress. When I picked it up there was something not quite fitting right but I couldn’t articulate what it was so I took it home. The next day I called and asked if I could bring it back to have their opinion. They got me right in (on a busy Saturday!) and Denise and Didi were so friendly and kind and they made a couple of quick alterations on the spot and did not let me leave until I was happy. My daughter wanted to get married in my wedding dress which is 32 years old. She loved everything about the dress except the puffy sleeves (from 80s). She contacted the The Wedding Seamstress to see if they could remove sleeves without altering the rest of the dress. They did a phenomenal job. I flew out twice to Colorado for the dress fittings and was blown away by how well they did in removing the sleeves and how friendly the staff is. I highly recommend The Wedding Seamstress. Ive been looking for someone to alter my dress and found some good recommendations on this place but after visiting, I didnt give my business nor would I ever. The customer service is lacking immensely if you dont look a certain way. When I walked in I was greeted by judgemental looks. I told her I had an appointment which she immediately denied. I said I was going to leave and she went and grabbed someone in the back and got me into a room which she wasnt willing to do before. The two ladies I worked with had lots of catty comments about my dress. The price was definitely over average and the sad part is, is I would have paid that extra bit if they treated me better and used professional customer service which they did not.

Took my BHLDN dress to the Wedding Seamstress for alterations, they were friendly, responsive, and flexible (I ended up getting my dress bustled late in the game after a change of reception venue and they were very accommodating!). I was especially grateful for the bustle instruction/in-store practice and having my dress packed up for travel. Absolutely recommend using the Wedding Seamstress!!

The Wedding Seamstress is the best! They did such an incredible job with my wedding dress and it wasnt easy. The lace had to be peeled off by hand in order to reach the seams and the hem. Not only did they remove the lace without any issue, they put it back on perfectly! Because of the amount of work the price was not cheap, but it was definitely fair and competitive with other places. They also did a bustle that was perfect for the dress. I received so many complements on how well it fit. Not only does the team at The Wedding Seamstress do great work, they are very enjoyable to work with and so sweet and accommodating. Every fitting I had was wonderful!

When I found The Wedding Seamstress, I was about to start looking for new dress as I was so disappointed in the lack of attention to fit and alterations that occurred somewhere else. I decided to go here based on reviews and hoped they could turn my nightmare into what I had imagined. My anxiety of how the dress looked before/would look was sky-high and I was terrified going into my pick up appointment. Im not a crier and have never had a dream dress, but when I picked it up I was on the verge of crying because it fit my body perfectly and it looked absolutely amazing. I drove over an hour one way to go there and am so happy I did. They are so professional and attentive to every detail. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my wedding. My dress was already being worked on. They stopped once I called and even refunded for work not completed. Very honest and reliable!

My experience with having my wedding dress altered at The Wedding Seamstress was a bit of a roller coaster. My initial consultation started out fine, the staff were friendly and got me all set up in my dressing room. I tried on my dress, they took measurements and did a few things based on what I was looking for. After that they provided me a quote for the alterations and I was absolutely stunned, I started crying right there in the dressing room. Their quote for alterations was almost as much as what I paid for the dress, upwards of $800. Once getting over the shock, I did decide to move forward with them as I felt they had good reviews and did not want to take any chances with my dress especially because it was heavily beaded on the top. The alterations I was in need of included: hemming of the whole dress and shortening the train, having it taken in a few sizes as I bought it off the rack and it was much too big, and having the straps adjusted.Following the initial consultation I had 3 fittings for my dress. Overall these fittings were fine, again staff was always nice and progress on the dress was moving along. However, the big issue I had with them came in the 2nd fitting.At my 2nd fitting, I was told I needed to make a decision regarding the train of my dress. It was extremely long, too long for my taste. When discussing with the staff, I felt that they really only gave me two options for this: to remove the train entirely or keep it as is. Feeling pressured during that fitting, I decided to keep it all - I couldnt imagine no train at all for my wedding dress! I dont ever remember them mentioning simply shortening the train or how the process would work in regard to adjusting the train in relation to adjusting the rest of the hem of the dress... I am obviously not a seamstress and am unfamiliar with the process.I go in for next fitting and decide the train is just way too long. Upon asking about having something done with it, I am informed that if I do indeed want to shorten it, it is now going to be an additional cost because they have already done the rest of the hem and will have do re-do it all. I was very mad because I dont feel that this was explained to me and I felt pressured at the last appointment. It was hard to visualize the train length and they did not offer much support or personalized attention in my dealing with this. Ultimately, I decided to move forward and have it shortened and pay the additional cost to have it done.All said and done when I received my finished dress it was beautiful, fit very nicely, and was what I wanted. However, I cannot say that I felt the staff provided much support during the process and definitely does not offer very individualized attention. I went to every appointment alone and really struggled through this and did not feel supported.If you are just looking for basic quality alterations, then I am sure this is a great place to go. However, if you are looking for more special attention and the option to talk through any ideas you may have about altering your dress... I would suggest looking elsewhere. The shop is extremely busy and I just dont think they have the time to do that.

I got my wedding dress altered into a summer dress here and I also got my bridesmaids dress altered since the dress ran a little big. I had a great experience and they did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend them for any alterations you might need!

I first heard about the Wedding Seamstress through online reviews, and went to get my wedding dress altered. Despite my dress having a complicated lace pattern, the team took care and provided a perfect fit! Unfortunately I was a covid bride, but even while postponing our wedding, my fittings all were covid safe, and incredibly professional. I needed to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed, and they were immediately able to fit me in! As always I received just absolute kind professionalism from every member of the staff at the Wedding Seamstress. I will continue to use them for all dress fittings going forward.

DeeDee is amazing!!!! I redesigned my mothers dress. The experience was beyond what I could have ever asked for. Her attention to detail is what truly made my dress, one of a kind. Not to mention, DeeDee has the most infectious laugh! I would recommend her to ANYONE!!!!Below are the before and after pics. We called my moms original dress, Princess Diana. I got married on the beach, and my dress was PERFECT!!!!

I am one who never writes reviews but I was so upset with the service I received, so here I am. I went to the wedding seamstress because of how highly reviewed they were. I was excited to work with them after our initial consultation meeting. I ended up very disappointed and frustrated, however, with their customer service, communication and handiwork. Took four fittings, not including consultation, for them to finally get it right. They did a great job hemming and bustling my dress-- that they got right at the first fitting. Anything else, be wary.My dress was a fit and flare with a beaded V neck (see photo). There was some nude tulle in the bodice that I wanted to add liner to but still wanted to keep the V neck open. They said they could do it. They referenced all of the years of work they did and have gowns in the entry room to attest to that, so I decided to work with them. On the day of the consultation, they took pictures of my dress and even put in a piece of fabric to the area I had wanted to add liner to in order to show their seamstresses exactly how I wanted it, v neck was left open (see photo). Seemed like itd work out ok. Instead, on the day of my fitting, they had lined the entire front of the dress, covering the V neck that we had talked about leaving open. Ok, I thought. Honest mistake. They cut it down that day so I could see what itd look like with the V (see photo), took notes again and said theyd be able fix it as we had initially talked about. I showed up a week later...again, not fixed as we had discussed. The v neck was still partially lined (see photo). I met again with them a couple of days later and they finally got the V neck right. I took the dress home. I decided later on that week, just 1 week til the day, to try my dress on again. I had been so focused on making sure they fixed the V neck that I failed to notice their other mistakes. Found that the liner they placed was pulling on the tulle in such a way that the V neck was crooked. The breast cups were also very obviously puckering on one side (see photo). I do appreciate that they were very accommodating and saw me that same day. It was only during this FOURTH visit that they really worked with me to fix it. Although they were now finally attentive, I felt like they were either blaming the dress or me for all of these shortcomings. It could never have been their crafmanship! I dont feel that they once owned up to their mistakes. They finally were able to fix my dress after almost 2 hours in the shop with them. Because they made me wait those two hours, Deedee gave me a $15 Chipotle gift card I presume in an attempt to make me a happy customer. Felt somewhat insulted by this gesture. Clearly she understood that she was in the wrong and wanted to make amends on my >$600 alteration fee with a $15 gift card. In truth, a lot of this could have been avoided had they LISTENED to me and paid better attention to detail in the first place.

When I made my first appointment at the Wedding Seamstress I thought it might go one of two ways. After hearing my idea, I thought they would laugh and show me the door or say heck yes let’s do this! Luckily I got the second response! Deedee and her team at The Wedding Seamstress took a gown bought during a previous engagement that didn’t feel “right” and totally redesigned it into a masterpiece that once dancing in it, I knew was made perfectly for me and me alone.I was astonished by the quality and so were all the guests at my wedding. Everyone said it was “so me” and I have Deedee and her Team to thank for that! Even after an appointment that didn’t not go as planned, Deedee compensated me for my travel time and made a new appointment a few days later. Deedee redesigned a dress that I loved in nearly the same price range that I would have spent on a brand new dress and made it into even more that I could have imagined! I dreaded being one of those girls who didn’t look like herself on her wedding day, just some done up version of myself and that was not the case at all! I felt like myself, but as a Bride! I highly recommend calling The Wedding Seamstress and making an appointment. Whether for a redesign, or alteration, this is the only place to go in Colorado!

I had a great experience at The Wedding Seamstress! I picked up my wedding dress today after they did alterations and its perfect. They made it fit like it was made just for me. They listened to what I wanted and made it happen. Im so grateful. :)Practical details: The price and turnaround time was reasonable. The storefront is a little difficult to find, its around the back of the shopping center that google maps sends you to, but I called the first time I went and they gave me good directions. The atmosphere inside the shop is low stress. The shop is clean and spacious. The dressing rooms are comfortable with flattering lighting, and have plenty of mirrors to let you get a good look at your dress. The people who work there are all friendly and professional. I would give them ten stars if I could! Ill be recommending them to others.

They did an amazing job. Brought in my grandmothers dress from the 50s and they transformed it into a beautiful skirt that I could wear with the top of my choice. They did a very good job at handling my fragile dress and all of the tailoring work is very clean and professional. They also had good recommendations for where to look for a top and style suggestions. They were very professional and to the point. Waisted no time fussing around. I appreciated that. I highly recommend them for altering or repurposing a vintage dress. I can walk down the isle wearing my grandmothers dress in a style that fits me!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING.I was planning my own wedding, and I moved states in the middle of it. I had ordered and gotten measured for my very expensive wedding dress in the first state, by the time it was ready for pick up, it was months later, I had moved to Colorado, gotten a new job, gained a bit of weight. I was beyond stressed. I could no longer go back to the place I bought my dress from since I didnt live there anymore, so I googled and found the Wedding Seamstress. I scheduled an appointment, and I convinced myself that it would be disheartening and the dress would be impossible to deal with, etc, etc. Boy was I wrong. They seriously made my life SO easy - they let me vent to them about the stresses of moving and planning a wedding, and the dress not fitting the same as when I first bought it. They had heard it all, and they made me feel so validated. They were so sweet and kind and understanding, and they gave me so much relief that they could absolutely handle my dress and make it perfect! AND THEY DID. It was fantastic, I mean my god i feel like a freaking MODEL in my dress now. I cant recommend this place enough. They made my life so much easier, and they REALLY know their stuff!!!

The owner literally had to reconstruct my whole dress. My wedding dress was discontinued in 2017 and the only 1 I could find was a size 14, but the team at The Wedding Seamstress worked their magic and made it into a size 2 to fit me. They are very professional, super helpful, and always friendly from the moment you walk in the door. I highly recommend!

This place is reasonably priced, timely and has impeccable customer service. I wanted a custom jacket made from the train of my dress. They asked for my inspiration photos and created a jacket just like I had imagined. I received so many compliments on the dress and no one even knew it was made separate. They matched it perfectly. Additionally there was something I was uncomfortable with regarding the dress itself at the final fitting and they patiently waited for me to work though it on a busy Saturday because I wasn’t sure what it was. We talked for a bit and the shop owner made a comment that she noticed I kept lifting the top up by my chest. She realized I didn’t feel like I had enough support there and quickly sewed in straps and she was right! It was perfect after that. These ladies know what they are doing and I would go back in a heartbeat and will always highly recommend them.

Being a bridesmaid is never fun, especially as you get older, but the team at the wedding seamstress was great to work with and made the experience very positive. I had two bridesmaid dresses that need to be altered for two weddings out of town on back-to-back weekends. They were able to work around my schedule and get me two dresses that fit perfectly.

Both the owner and G helped with my wedding dress. They took it in 4 sizes with a corset and full lace and it was as stunning as ever! They were kind, helpful, and considerate. I never felt like a price tag but felt like a bride every time. I can see why they are top rated. Id take any clothes alterations to them if they did that!

I could not be happier with the job the Wedding Seamstress did on my wedding dress. The dress itself was beautiful already, but after they worked their magic it was perfectly fitted to my body and incredibly flattering. They were so wonderful!Complimented me and made me feel great not only about my dress but about how I looked in it. I had been working very hard to lose those extra 10 pounds before my wedding so even though it sounds strange to have someone complimenting your body it really goes a long way. Especially when you want to feel beautiful and have the anxiety about how you will look on your special day.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. I had a terrible experience during my second fitting. I paid substancial amount of money to get the modification I wanted in a professional manner. She quoted me $659 but ended up paying $625 since I paid cash. All this to have my dress hemmed, change the neckline from straight to sweetheart and add volume to the train.The owner was very rude and I feel very sorry for her employees, they were really nice and professional. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to keep a customer. The owner apologized several times after she acted very disrespectful but it was too late.I ended up leaving this place with a dress that I don’t love.

My impression of this place was not a good one. Honestly I did not feel welcomed here. Although I was happy that they (Deede and her team) accepted to change my initial appointment for the consultation because I had timing issues, when I came in, I truly felt rushed and pressured to sign a contract the day off. I drove 1 HOUR to come here just to be treated this way: I mean it was Saturday afternoon, the least you could do is stay a bit longer for your last guest. Also, they ended up charging me $45 for cancelling the contract due to a Family Emergency, which I felt it was unnecessary as I had only left my dress for three days at the shop. Not sure why I was being charged and most places do not even mind cancellations nor are there fees. I am a struggling bride trying to make ends meet during this pandemic and this is what I get.PLUS beware the contract (which is a piece of paper with all their notes) has a fine-print on the back that seems like this shop had some liability issues in the past. DONT LET THEM PRESSURE YOU. Learned my lesson.

Had the best experience, and highly recommend to those looking for dresses to be altered. I purchased my dress online and wanted to make sure it fit me correctly. They gave great input on what was necessary as well as alterations they would suggest but were really up to me. They were not pushy or judgmental. They had no issue getting suggestions from other staff members if they needed help or had a question, which is just nice to know. My bridesmaid dress turned out great and fits me perfectly.

So happy with The Wedding Seamstress and their alterations to my dress! I came in probably a month before I needed my dress, cutting it close - I know! However they were able to get it done right on time!First consultation they provide a quote and if you want to move forward, they’ll start the measurements then. So no need to come back. Although there are multiple appointments, that’s completely understandable for alterations! I only needed one more appointment. I tried on my dress, the arms needed the final touches and they were able to finish it there within 20-30 mins. Saving me another appointment!! Thank goodness!The pricing did seem a little high. But I can’t complain since I didn’t get other quotes due to my time crunch. So maybe it’s the average pricing - who knows. I’m still happy I went with The Wedding Seamstress.All the employees were friendly and professional! I appreciate the Appointment Only business they have. I know that their focus is on me and I’m not waiting around for my turn. So pleased with my end results!

We had a wonderful experience with all the staff at The Wedding Seamstress. We are a gay couple and felt very welcomed. Dee Dee was very patient with us and designed a dress, camosile, pair of pants and altered a jacket that matched our fashions. We had several sessions, met some of the seamstress and looked at material together. She even designed a bow tie for our dog Jackson out of our material. He will look great in his tuxedo, periwinkle designer bow tie along side us. During our visits we came to know about her children, dog and husband who she lost to an illness way too soon in life. She is a kind, caring, talented professional and wonderful human being who knows her business. We brought my mom on one visit and they are very welcoming to her, each telling stories, while we changed into our wedding outfits. We could hear them laughing and having fun. I will miss coming to the shop and will recommend her to anyone who asks. Her prices are reasonable and their work beautiful. Thanks to all of you.

My friend was married 4 years ago and came all the way to Arvada to go to the best seamstress in CO, sure enough she proved to be! So, now 4 years later, as I am about to get married, I knew that I would seek the wedding seamstress talents to add my bustle to my dress. She is in a different location now, much larger location that gives you a youre a glamorous bride feel. Deedee showed me multiple options for my bustle choice and once she pinned the second one, it was like it was made for the dress! I picked up my dress yesterday and one of the consultants (I believe Gino) was super helpful and assisted my friend and I on how exactly we should tie the back of my dress and hook the bustle. I will forever be recommending people to use The Wedding Seamstress! Thank you so much!

All the ladies that work here are FANTASTIC. I came in with my mother-in-laws 1980s dress wanting alterations to make it my own. My mother-in-law and I were treated so kindly and did not feel rushed at all to make a decision. The price of the alteration was exceptional. I went to two other locations that gave be double and triple the price for the alterations I was looking for. They were able to do it for less than $300. What I really liked was how they solved an issue trying to make a key hole opening in the lace dress. Instead of just cutting it out and hoping it would fit me when I came back, she explained to me the issue and reassessed the torso of the dress and made sure the design idea would actual work. She also gave great feedback on what I wanted and stated her opinions on what would look better...and the final product looked way better than what I imagined. My mother-in-law was very excited about the alterations and loves the final product too!P.S. They also have amazing slips!

They did an EXCELLENT job altering my wedding dress considering that it was bought on consignment. The staff wasnt exactly AS friendly as I had expected after watching hours of bridal shows, but they were efficient and did their jobs well. I was incredibly happy with the results and would recommend them to a friend.

I was incredibly happy with the speed and quality of service here.I needed a rush alteration on a bridesmaid skirt for a wedding this weekend. I felt like it should be a simple job, but Im no tailor!Even though they operate on appointment only, they were able to fit me in the same day for a consultation.What really impressed me was that instead of trying to up-sell me, and offer the most expensive and complicated solution to my issue, they gave me the simplest and cheapest option first. Luckily for me, the quick-fix option worked wonders, and I was able to walk out of the store the same day with my items in-hand and fitting the way I wanted them to (for an incredibly low cost)!Their shop is spacious and clean and the staff were all very knowledgeable and friendly. I would absolutely recommend bringing any wedding attire here!

I had an absolutely fabulous experience with DeeDee and her team. I brought in two formal dresses for a couple of alterations, and they took the best care of me. My garments were handled with care, and now fit absolutely perfectly. Every member of the staff that I encountered was absolutely lovely. I am incredibly glad I found The Wedding Seamstress, and got my wedding dress custom made from them. I was looking for something fairly unique and specific, and went to many boutiques, including some very high end ones, trying to get what I had in mind. I was willing to spend a pretty penny to get what I wanted, but was shocked at how limited the customizations offered were at many of these other places. They basically told me that I had to buy a dress off the rack and be happy with some minor adjustments, and quoted me 10 grand for it. They told me that nobody would make me a custom design dress for less than 30k, and that if they even tried to work with me Id have to source the fabric myself. And this from a place Id be paying 10 grand, not even sourcing the fabric for me!Deedee from The Wedding Seamstress not only proved them wrong by making me my dream wedding dress for a fraction of the cost, she made it incredibly well. She is incredibly talented and did a wonderful job creating my custom dress, and charged me not 30k, nor even 10k, but less than 2k for exactly what I wanted, from scratch. She is very kind and receptive to feedback and the end result is stunning, for a very reasonable price. I could not be happier with my choice of seamstress for my dress, and the dress itself. I would recommend her to anyone over these overpriced boutiques with their limited selection, especially for someone with a unique idea for a dress.

I had my wedding dress altered here and a full sequin bridesmaid dress, and both had impeccable craftsmanship and flawless tailoring. Deedee and her team really know what they are doing and can guide you through the alterations process very smoothly. The cost may be a little higher than other places, but I will gladly pay for excellence and great customer service, and thats what you get here. Hands down the BEST seamstress and bridal alteration shop in Denver.More detail: my wedding dress was all lace, and the edge of the dress maintained the lace cutout which was important to me to keep after hemming. The result was flawless, see the photo. I also had a full sequin bridesmaid gown that needed a lot of alterations. I was nervous about the result because it needed such a transformation and I know sequins are really difficult - and the altered dress fit like an amazingly sparkly glove. 100% worth the cost to make you look incredible on your or your friends big day!!

She did a great job altering a 1940s wedding dress for me. It was exactly what I wanted and she knew even more about the clothes then I even expected! Definitely a place to take your vintage dress for alterations.

Deedee and her team did a fantastic job redesigning and altering my dress....my mentor/second mother let me have her wedding dress to wear on my wedding day so it needed to be slightly redesigned and altered to my body...Deedee worked her magic by putting pins in place and I came back 3 weeks later to a basically perfectly altered dress...they needed to make a few slight adjustments and she had it done for me in 30 minutes when I was there. I am SO impressed with their precision, attention to detail and wanting to make sure you feel great....even asking me is there anything you would change about the dress?! before letting me walk out the door. They were on time, efficient and paid attention to detail! I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Where to begin? I just picked up my wedding dress yesterday and Im so excited and it makes everything feel so real! I read through a lot of these reviews before writing my own and Im not sure where the disconnect is between Deedee and these other brides that had less than positive experiences. To start off, I first came to the Wedding Seamstress and met with Deedee in August. She looked at my dress and quoted me, but suggested that I come back in October to have her actually pin me for alterations as brides can change size and shed hate to have done work 5 months ahead of my wedding and have other issues arise. I came back in October like she suggested and her quote was even less than she originally quoted me! She was very pleasant and efficient. This last time visiting her was my favorite, of course! I brought my mom and my matron of honor to join me to learn how to do my bustle as well as make sure that I wasnt missing anything on the fit of my dress. Deedee took the time to answer all of our questions, illustrated my bustle and had her team quickly put in an eye and hook to finish the dress so we could take it home. To finish it off, she danced with me in my dress and bustle to ensure I could move around with my shoes and get used to the bustle as to not step on it! Deedee was very complimentary and knew how to make a gal feel good. We ended our time together with a hug and her wish for a beautiful wedding! I cant wait to wear my dress on THE day and Ill hopefully be able to update this review with a photo. Thank you Deedee, and good luck with your move!

She listened to every single detail and request of mine and did the best job in the world. She created a masterpiece and was so wonderful to work with. Not super pleasant, not rude but not inviting at all. She basically tried to talk me out of a custom dress telling me how busy she was and how it was gonna cost more then I could afford. She had no idea what my dress budget was, just made assumptions. Glad though because looking at the customs she had out for display her seams are not straight and there is lots of bunching. Not a great seamstress, a basic seamstress.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! The entire staff is very sweet and knowledgeable!! Took my wedding dress to her and she had it altered in 2 fittings!! And the turnaround time was incredible!!! She made my dress fit so perfectly! I took my bridesmaid dress there too for a friends wedding!! This is the only place I bring my wedding attire to be altered at! In June I went to your store looking for a quote on the price of my wedding gown being altered. It was a bit big on me and too long, and I went to your facility hoping to get everything taken care by people who were just as excited as I was that I was getting married and had the same goals and views in mind for what I wanted my over all look to be.I purchased my dress brand new in shop for $625. After looking at me, taking no measurements, and just flipping my skirt, your associate came back with a price of $630 to alter my dress to the size I needed-- MORE than the cost of my brand new, in season gown. Not only was I shocked, but I felt instead of looking at what I actually needed the seamstress simply assessed me in dollar signs.When I brought up that it was a bit ridiculous to spend more on alterations for a brand new gown (it wasnt like I purchased it online or from a second hand shop), I was simply told Well, if you can get someone to do it for less, Id be shocked. You wont find a better price.I was angry and upset at the lack of sympathy and compassion, so I left.I would like to let your facility know that I did find someone with 20 years of experience with bridal alterations to alter my dress for less than $630. I got my dress altered-- sides, sleeves removed, hip, bust, hem of 8 layers and bustle-- for $255. The alteration work is superb.I would highly advise rethinking the way you approach your customer base, creating the illusion that you are the only company that can alter their dress and your prices are the best to be found for the quality of work. It is not true, and to be blunt, a rip off. I understood going in to expect to spend a bit more at your facility (you are very clear in stating you are not the cheapest or the most expensive), but not $375 more-- more than double what I ended up paying for the same exact work.Please take this letter as advice and not as complaints. I just ask that in your field, you do fair, compassionate work-- stressing out a bride who is already trying to juggle a lot is not a way to get happy, repeat customers.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Wedding Seamstress and Deedee. I brought three bridesmaid dresses and my own wedding dress to her. I was really unhappy with my halter neckline. She really listened to what bothered me about the dress and came up with a perfect solution and made my dress much more beautiful than it originally was.She does such amazing work it is hard to believe her prices are as reasonable as they are. I would give The Wedding Seamstress 5 stars and will recommend her to everyone!

Staff was a bit rude and acted like they were better than me. Put one pin in the dress and gave me a quote of over $500. I told them the date of my wedding when I initially e-mailed for the appointment- they responded and set-up an appointment with me only for the owner to say she wouldnt take my dress now because its too early. I drove 45 minutes each way for a worthless appointment. I know there are better options out there.

DeeDee and her team are spectacular. They transformed my old pageant gown into my wedding gown, and the end result surpassed my expectations. The quality of work and attention to detail was impeccable, and every visit to the shop was a delightful experience. I am so glad they had a hand in my wedding day!

They are overpriced, offered poor advice about how my dress should fit, and they made a big mistake on my alterations. After being extremely unhappy with the results of my alterations, I took my dress to another tailor who pointed out the big mistake they had made on the hemming - the lower layer of my dress was protruding out from underneath the top lace layer. I think this place gets away with charging so much because they market themselves as a wedding tailor when in reality, any halfway decent tailor should be able to handle a wedding dress at half the price of these guys.

I am so thankful I found The Wedding Seamstress. Every person I worked with was kind, professional and helpful. Deedee did an amazing job on my dress and at a very fair price. I feel like many of the negative reviewers have mistaken her prompt and business like demeanor as rude or impersonal, but that is truly not the case. She is busy and is in and out quickly, but she was very pleasant and attentive, and she is amazing at what she does. I couldnt be happier with the service I received. I agree with the poor reviews saying shes unpleasant to work with and also the positive reviews about her work. She was super nice and excited about my dress and engagement, and just very friendly, when I first came in for a consultation. I couldnt believe that people wrote otherwise. Then I came in again, and it was very different. My appointment was at 1PM, and she must have went out to lunch, and when she came back in and saw me waiting (she was 10-15 minutes late) she just rolled her eyes and seemed super annoyed that I was there. I had an appointment and had been waiting on her! During my first appointment, she told me theres the option to have your last fitting just a day or two before your wedding and then pay an extra expedited fee. I was happy and willing to do that, since I was planning to lose a lot of weight right up until my wedding date (and did). When I told her I wanted to do this at the second appointment, she was angry and made a big deal about how hard that would be for her. If you dont want to do this for your customers, then why tell me its an option at the beginning? Also, I brought my mom, sister, aunt, and grandma in for my last fitting, which she was NOT happy about! I warned them all about her, and they were all very good about staying out of her way and just there to see the dress, but she doesnt like people being there.However, her work was amazing. My dress was complicated! Like I said, I lost weight and ended up with smaller cup sizes and everything. She did an absolutely amazing job, and my dress (that was changed dramatically from what I bought) turned out to be exactly what I envisioned.Basically, if getting that special bridal treatment you find in most dress boutiques and with most other wedding vendors is important to you, this is not your place. If you want your close friends and family to join you in dress fittings, you probably shouldnt go here. If you really care about the quality and outcome of your dress and can put up with a cranky person for your few dress fittings, then I would highly recommend!

She has impeccable skill - something you dont find these days - and is also reasonably priced. The boutique I bought my dress from quoted me over double what I was charged at The Wedding Seamstress! I had called a few days prior to going into the shop. They had told me they could replace a zipper, only to find out when I got there they said they do not replace zippers. Very disappointing and a waste of time. I cannot comment on their seamstress skills, however their customer service skills are lacking. Not sure if I was to ever return to them after my first impression.

I highly recommend the crew at the Wedding Seamstress. Not only will they do a great job on your alterations, but theyll be super-cool to you throughout the process. For example: a few months ago, I had them do the alterations on my wedding dress (taking in the bodice and hemming some rather elaborate lace). They did great. I tried it on; all seemed well; I took it home. Now, just over a week before the wedding, I had the belated realization that the spaghetti straps on the dress were still just a little bit loose for my tastes. (Mostly Im trying not to flash anyone.) So I called up the Wedding Seamstress and they were happy to get me in for an appointment the very next day. That day, suffering from a serious case of bride-brain, I headed out to my appointment -- without the dress. Fortunately, I realized before I got on the freeway, and I spoke with Gino up at WS, telling him Id be late. He said no problem, and it wasnt. When I then had trouble finding the place (go up Wadsworth PAST McDonalds), Gino helped me out again. Once I managed to arrive -- dress in hand -- Gino helped me assess what was needed and then brought in Larissa for a second opinion. Once we were all in agreement that yes, taking it up just an inch (and a quarter, pointed out Larissa) would be ideal, Gino explained that itd be zero cost to me and Larissa would be able to take care of it right away, as I waited. It was mere minutes -- during which the very helpful Gino clued me in on a thing called It Stays adhesive roll-on, so as to further ensure no-flashing -- before my beautiful dress was back in my hands and back on my person. It fit PERFECTLY. They couldnt have been nicer about all of it. When I asked if I could at least tip them, Gino just smiled and said, No, thank you, but we dont accept gratuities. Were happy to help. So I sufficed with an effusive thank you -- and was happy that of all the things that had gone wrong, bride-wise, for me that day, my time in the highly capable hands of the Wedding Seamstress staff was not among them. You can trust these guys with your dress AND your sanity. Thanks again, guys!

DeeDee and her team did a beautiful job with my wedding dress. I bought my gown in a boutique in Michigan and drove it here to Denver, so I wasnt going to trust my dress to just anyone! She did quality, precise alterations to my gown so it fit me perfectly (it was too large before). I was amazed at the results; and felt great in my dress because it fit me perfectly. This place is so over priced! I was not greeted in a nice way, I was greeted with a clipboard and a calculator. It was a non-welcoming atmosphere to boot. Deedee asked me twice if my dress was a bridesmaids dress. I was pretty offended because my dress is clearly a short, informal WEDDING dress. You would think for a wedding seamstress professional she would see dresses in all shapes and sizes. I felt offended.
