Ridiculously quick on shipping. Ordered Saturday afternoon, received my order Wednesday morning. Prices suck everywhere nowadays, but they were completely reasonable compared to anywhere else. Beats having to time a delivery truck and wait in line for hours to hope theres a box or 2 left.

Really good place to shoot. Nobody looking over your shoulder and bugging you as long as youre not being unsafe. The staff are all super nice. Everyone I have taken there had a good time. Very reasonable rates too. Go check them out.

Just got in a order of ammo, less than a week after ordering. Yea the price was higher than it was a year ago, but everyone is like that these day. I still got the best deal per round with Top gun ammo. Their shipping cost was also cheaper than everywhere else. The next day I looked at different sites, multiple sites had the same bulk ammo I purchased but for $50 more. Top gun doesnt twist your arm back making you buy their ammo, the price is up if you like it get it if you dont NO NEED TO COMPLAINT.

Placed a fairly simple order online and part of it came in wrong. I called and the service was incredible. They asked that I send an email stating the problem and so I did. I also included a picture. Within 30 minutes, several emails had been exchanged between the president of the company and myself. Great guy to deal with AND they had boxed up the correct item ready to ship that same day. I will definitely buy from them again and highly recommend you do to.

Pros: Clean, Well lit, Friendly Staff, Well ventilated, huge ammo selection.Cons: Ammo prices are fair but on the high side, Gun prices are high, Transfer fees are 50 bucks for non-members use someone else.

HORRIBLE Price gouging! The same ammo case they sale for $600 +, they’ll sale to another dealer who’s price, with mark up, still doesn’t surpass $425-$450.Then if you were to buy one box for a set price ( say a box of 100 rounds of ammo for $65) and they sale a 500 round box too, they will charge you the price of the 100 rounds 5x. Instead of giving you the intended benefit of buying the bulk price. Even if it was only $10-$20 off.They might as well wear purple hats with Zebra printed feathers in it and have gold side teeth.I can’t rate their facility but I would hope their unfair pricing practices isn’t a direct reflection of it.Replying to the reply.....I can appreciate you responding. AND let me say I totally understand business, BUT let me ask you what is your Federal .223 $600 but $425 elsewhere. AND that elsewhere bought from you....? Rhetorical. But just know I know. Bottom line I have the choice to purchase or not as you do the prices you choose to charge (Walmart/ Gucci). This was my opinion, my experience, and even though I added a little humor this was my view and it is factual.

The range is pretty nice and the staff is great. They have a nice selection or various firearms to try before you buy, and you only pay 1 flat rate to rent everything on the rental wall. I would buy my ammo elsewhere, however. They tend to run a little steep on most calibers.

Very pleasant staff fast working. I went on a Wednesday when a lane is charged $10 instead of the usual $20. Extra charge for additional people in one lane. Overall a great experience.

Would not work out anything when a person had COVID 19 for 3 1/2 months . Wouldn’t transfer to my daughter who purchased the membership, she paid for it. Manger wouldn’t even come to the phone. Also , I’m a amputee hard to get around. An price of ammo 9mm $32.00 a box when your on social security you can’t afford to shot in this times of 40-50 percent higher prices. My son in law is a retired marine after 20years an they don’t care to work out anything beware

Inflated prices and young kids working the counter with very little knowledge, if any, on the products they are selling. They couldnt answer very simple questions over the phone or in person using correct terminology. I had $1,200 cash in my pocket when I walked in, I walked back out with the same amount in my pocket. Ill spend my money at a store with competitive prices and a knowledgable staff.

The range is nice. They have cheep soda. Renting guns is surprisingly cheep. Workers are nice and helpful. As long as you are a member you only have to pay for the paper targets so I can usual spend 3 bucks and get an hour of fun. Would recommend to anyone!

Placed order for 1 item but charged for 3. Looks like Id visited the site on 3 separate occasions and put 1 item in my cart and even though only 1 showed up when I pressed order, the system saved the previous visits which totaled 3. Sent email immediately and had to wait over the weekend to get someone on phone. Was told that they can stop it but it would cost me 10% cancellation fee plus another $20+ for something else, even though - it wasnt my fault so now Im on the hook for an extra $120+. This was my first time ordering from this vendor and needless to say, my last. Beware! Shouldnt have to jump through so many hoops just to cancel an order.

Use to be a decent place, after trying several times to give them the benefit of the doubt I wont be back, not the friendliest of people which i get we all have bad days, but as far as knowledgeable thats questionable. Keep the brand loyalty in your back pocket, salesman dont mean experts, but at least understand the fundamentals of the firearm in question.

2starts because Store has a lot of cool stuff in stock but costumer services aspect needs lots of work ... it seemed that the worker got pretty offended when I asked if they carried Zastava AKs. After getting full of attitude “No” I followed up with are you able to order it ? Dude paused .. rolled his eyes and said we have hard time ordering stuff. So I took my business mid America arms and ordered what I needed.

Nice range with a good selection of guns and ammo.

I took the beginner class with a group of friends and family. I had never fired a handgun before, and did not think I would do well. The instructor helped get a proper grip, and helped me with my posture. After a couple tries I was able to get a grouping in the center ring of the target. I recommend the fancily and our instructor David Price.

WAS once the best place to go in the area. NOBODY would answer their phones today so we drove 35 minutes to get there only to find the have reduced gun stock to almost nothing. They were once friendly and attentive. Not today. Couldn’t even get someone to help us .

We went for ladies night. Aaron and Dennis were very helpful. Two of us were new to shooting hand guns. Aaron walked us through the basic do’s and don’ts without making us feel stupid. We had a great time and I left feeling more confident handling a firearm. I can’t wait to go again.

I’ve been going to Top-Gun for a while now and it’s just a great place to shoot. Everyone is very friendly, the lanes are only $20 for all day shooting but I like to go on Wednesday’s for only $10, it’s mens day so....😎 But yeah, it’s a good place to shoot and for only an extra $10 you can trade off using their guns trying different ones out to see what you really like. This is super good if you’re a new shooter and are unsure what handgun you’d like to buy as a first gun. They have like 50 different handguns to try out. Seriously.Any way 5 stars for me as the only thing I’d change is that they’d have hourly lane rental for say $5 per hour. I usually only shoot for an hour so if I go after work during the work week $20 for only 1hr or so is a lot of money. Now having said that, they do have a membership for $200 for one year or $100 for 6 months which that could work out if you’re planing on going twice a week or so as that would pay for itself in one month. Personally I haven’t found any ranges, other than TopGun, that offer a 6 month membership, let alone having one for as low as $100. That’s very cost effective for a weakly shooter. But if you don’t want the membership then remember, $10 Wednesday’s, rental guns free. If your a guy that is, but I think women’s night is on Tuesday’s so they do appreciate woman too.I definitely recommend this range.😬

When I cant be at the outdoor range, I shoot at the indoor range a number of times per week. Great staff, great facility. I highly recommend any shooter to visit Top Gun in Arnold. Well worth the trip. Very knowledgeable when it comes to buying the right firearm.

Always had a great experience here. Began teaching my wife how to shoot and the team there always provided excellent service and great tips. Terrific selection of weapons to practice with if you dont have your own or never shot that particular style of gun or rifle.

Matches we shoot are great and all the guys are very nice to us even if we are a business competitor they treat us like family. Keep up the good business and keep doing what you are doing!

I have several good things to say about top gun.I have been here several times and have never had a bad experience. The staff had always been super helpful and friendly everytime I have been there. Im no gun guru so I have a lot o questions, some that would be considered stupid by some. But everyone has always been there to help out with even my most inexperienced questions.Also took a class from Dan Smith and that was an amazing experience as well. He mad the class super fun and enjoyable. I will definitely be back an definitely take more classes from Dan Smith in the future. Goo job guys. Keep up the good work!

Only been one time. Have never been to an indoor shooting range. They are strict on safety and very helpful. I wish lane prices were a little more affordable for 2. Make sure you have good ear protection.

Been a member here and other places. I would suggest them to anyone over the competition. Honest and no dumb rules like youd find at others (allow you to shoot steel cased ammo). Its a bit of a drive for me but I dont mind as long as they dont change their ways. Also have the best gunsmith Ive seen in the same building.

This is a great place..The people that work there are nice and helpfull.The on site gun smith is amazing, well priced, and knows his stuff..So why the 3 stars?? Its a little run down..The AC in the range is horrible... so for the very hot summer days.. no way...The shelves for your gun bag are not attached and will fall on the floor.And when it rains hard it leakes in the range,I counted 3 the other day..

Havent been by Top Gun in a while because I moved farther away but have gone back twice in the past weeks and they have been great and helpful even when the range was packed. Would recommend anyone to go by there for pistol target shooting or when its too cold out for the outdoor ranges.

Facilities are top notch, but the service could be better. Not always the friendliest. Many times they seem to really not want to help you and firearm prices are higher than other places around the area.

My husband surprised me on our 4th anniversary to a trip to the shooting range. Weve never shot before so we got instruction from Dave Price. I could not have had a better experience! He was helpful, nice, funny, and overall a great person for the job. We had a blast shooting and would make a special trip back to Arnold just to do it again. I definitely recommend Daves instruction or his classes. I dont know anything about guns, so I cant comment on the actual store, but the shooting range was great!

I took my 15 year old to Top Gun on Monday night, since we knew nothing and they were very busy as it is ladies day on Mondays so it was half priced, a very nice gentleman named Rick, made time to help us! We had the best time, but kept having to get him for help, and he had no problem every time we went to get him, even the other customers were really nice and informative! (My name is Carol and Im on my Sons account, btw.) I will be a regular there and Im planning to take the class to get my license to carry, its a one day course for 8 hours, My son and I finally have something we can share as a family! Thank you Rick and Top Gun! If you plan to go there make sure you take your ear protection, it gets very loud being an indoor range, and you are required to wear them along with safety glasses! 5 star all the way!

The only thing good about the place was the price. Im prior military for 15 years and know how to handle a firearm. However, I did NOT feel safe while I was here. Im used to having someone monitor the line. There were people in there that had no reason using a firearm.To the right of us, we had 2 gentlemen that never put their firearm on safety. They were shooting an AR, one guy shot about 5 rounds and handed the firearm to his buddy. He didnt realize it wasnt on safety and shot the ceiling 3 times and then shot over at our target. Just said ooops. This happened on multiple occasions.The gentlemen to the left of us was shooting his Glock. The rules clearly say you cant holster the weapon. However, he was acting like it was holstered and then shooting the Glock like he was a gangster (sideways.)I believe they need a qualified shooter to monitor the line in order to prevent an accident from happening or at least remove individuals that have no firearm etiquette.

I have been to their annual event at the outdoor range both years, and it was worth every penny. I have purchased a couple of firearms from them: they are pretty much my go-to store/range, and I have always been treated well and in a fair manner.

I took my CCW class there, I have bought supplies there, and I have bought guns there. Everyone who works at Top Gun is friendly (always helpful) and they know their stuff!You can not beat the rental gun option. They have TONS of rental guns - so you can try almost anything out before you buy that type of gun (to see if you like it or it fits you).Heck, even a guy at Bass Pro encouraged me to do that (when my wife was looking to buy a new toy).

I have purchased a number of guns from them and have shot there numerous times. I have to agree with all of the other reviews. Overall this is a well run clean and fair priced establishment but as with any business that deals with the public it is difficult to have a crew of perfect people loving employees especially when it comes to in-depth knowledge of firearms and self deffense.

Absolutely a must if you are looking for a quality place to run rounds down range, plus they have a huge selection of rental firearms. So if you are in the market for a firearm but not sure what you want to purchase, stop in Top Gun. Pay the reasonable range time and confirm you even like the gun you just have to have! Cheers

Place is a garbage can that you pay to be in. They dont carry much of anything in the store besides ammo . Employees were not helpful and they will do anything to get extra money out of you. They make fees come out of nowhere over some PVC. Not friendly to new shooters. I wont be back. Dont spend money here, find somewhere outside thats fair.

If you plan on buying your ammo there to shoot at the range make sure you call ahead to see if they have it. I used my groupon there to try out different compact .380s. They said they were all out of .380 rounds??? Stuck shooting 9mm:(

I did my CCP class here last weekend with my brother and a couple friends. I would highly recommend Top Gun to anyone that is thinking about getting their CCP permit. The class was a mixture of video/target practice/question and answer. I honestly have heard horror stories of other places skimping on the training class instruction. The staff was helpful answering my questions about different types of guns and holsters. They are pretty legit from a knowledge standpoint and helping me make a purchase that I ultimately would be happy with…I would highly recommend.Thanks,Jeff Horton

Uses to be a great place but after being lied to about more then one thing after spending thousands of dollars on fire arms an ammo there I will no longer be returning our my friends and family. Please take your business else where.

Facilities are great, inventory a little sparse. Out of .357 ammo when I went to the range. Giving 2 stars because of the grumpy old a-hole at the range. Was jacking around on his phone like a teenager, acted like I was bothering him. Customer service was completely unacceptable. Will not be back because if Im giving you money, you should at least be polite.*FOLLOW UP: Changed the rating to 4 stars, because owner contacted me IMMEDIATELY to apologize and to ask what happened. I wasnt looking for anything other than decent customer service, and if management has the decency to follow up with a problem in a timely manner, Im ok with that.

Disclosure: I only used the range for 30 minutes while I qualified for my CCW training (sponsored by another gun shop.) I did not interact much with the proprietors.But, having been all over the city, I can say - Hands Down - Top Gun has the largest selection of guns and accessories. Period. Bigger than Cabellas. Bigger than Bass Pro. Ive been price shopping a lot lately and I recognize that Top Guns markup is the second lowest Ive seen in St. Louis. Very Fair prices.Store is laid out logically. The indoor range was clean and well maintained.Again, I cant speak for the customer service. I can promise you that the selection is so big it will make you gasp Wow when you walk in.

Very poor facility with rude staff. The target hangars are pvc and they charge you $10 at checkout if you break one. I wouldnt suggest wasting your money on a low end place like this. People pointing loaded firearms around and no staff near the lanes for safety. Do your best to fimd an alternative range imo.

One word to the staff at Top Gun... SMILE. This store has the worst customer service of any retail store I have ever been in. I frequent the range often and it is a very nice set up, but dont dare try to engage any of the staff with a question. They are beyond RUDE. I went in to spend a cool $1,000 on a new pistol and felt like I was intruding or bothering the sales staff. I have heard this complaint from a number of people who will no longer shop there. I am done as well. It is too bad really. Their prices are a little on the high side but they have a decent selection.You can go there, but dont expect them to treat you like a valued customer...

First off theres no range safety there at all I had people pointing loaded Firearms at me off and on the entire time I was there secondly when I put my target on their hanger and sent it down range whatever hanging system theyre using wouldnt hold the Target still the targets bouncing up and down on the wire and Swinging left to right I didnt realize it at first when I wasnt getting very good hits on the target but then I realized its moving with 2 to 6 inchs of variation up down left right I let the staff know they had me try some weights folding the target didnt help they moved me Lanes it was no better it was worse because the lane next to me their target was swinging so violently it was swinging and hitting my target I went back out to the staff and ask him if theres anything to be done they said theres nothing else they could do I asked if I could get my money back and they said the best that they can help me is taking $2 off I still got charged $17 just sit there and waste ammo missing the target and most the time I was there I was trying to get the target to hold still overall I would not suggest wasting your money here.

Was assigned a lane that had no lighting. Told the guy and he could not have cared less and proceeded to wait on someone else. Had to ask him for another lane. Then he acted like I was just bothering him. He gave me ANOTHER lane with no lighting. Horrible service. Will never return. Too many other places that care about their customers.

I only gave one start because I had to. I asked for a band Aid And the guy saw where I was bleeding from. I told him why I was bleeding and he question me on it asking if my slide hit me. And kepted on going like I was stupid and I didn’t know what I was saying or doing. Then after that when I was done shooting. He pretty much asked me if I would be killed if I was out in the real world shooting if I needed to be. IM SORRY YES IM A GIRL, BUT I DO KNOW WHAT IM DOING. everyone here everytime I have been there has been Rude to me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. There is lots of other places in stl I’d reather go to than there. Places that treat every customer like they are equal even if they are girls.

I went in with the intention of purchasing a gun. We asked if I could shoot it before buying without being charged a rental fee. The guy said I would ONLY pay $18 for a lane fee plus ammunition cost which was $16. When I was finished 10 minutes later, I asked another worker if he had any other suggestions for me to try before buying. He was zero help, and said he couldnt recommend any. Come time to pay they charged me $48.20. They were so rude and the first guy try to act like he didnt say it would only be $18 lane fee and no gun rental fee. Total rip off for 10 minutes of test shooting a gun that I will definitely NOT purchase from them.

My training did go as well. My instructor was old and grouchy. He was unable to really identify students problems and correct them. He actually screamed at people instead of talking to them about what they were doing wrong. I will not take another class with him. I wish I had your instructor.

Top Gun is an excellent place for any first time shooter to visit. I went for my first time on Monday which happened to be ladies day at the shooting range. On Mondays they offer half off of range fees and FREE GUN RENTAL for women. I was able to try out any gun I wanted to determine which fire arm I felt most comfortable with. Rick behind the range counter actually walked into the range with me to help me learn, load, aim and shoot every gun I tried. He was so patient and sweet. After about 45 min. I determined that I like the Ruger SR9 best. I walked over to the sales counter and had a fantastic sales woman to answer my questions. This is the 4th gun shop I have visited in STL and I have never seen another woman behind the sales counter. Brittney is extremely knowledgeable and was able to advise me from a womans prospective. I came back a few days later to pick up my gun and the sales staff recognized me immediately, they knew me by name.I find it hard to believe that anyone could have a bad experience here. This place offers top notch service! I plan on becoming a member the next time I visit.
