New favorite place! I love that it’s plant based and has non-dairy options. The regular gelato and the diary free are both really good. They have pretty unique flavors in the best way and my dairy-free friends and family members were also very impressed! I got the We Woke in the picture which is coffee chocolate gelato.

The best hot chocolate around, hands down!Especially after a nite of cold ice skating. Its a little slow but EVERYTHING IS MADE TO ORDER. and worth the wait. You wont regret trying it. Dont forget to tip well!

Seemingly run by 2 kids who didnt really know what they were doing. Significantly overpriced for the quality. The cookies were pretty good. I was given sampling shovels for ice cream instead of actual spoons.Its ice cream, I guess.

This is the perfect cookie. You can search all over or try to make your own chocolate chip cookie, but none will ever compare to what they make here. It is soft but crispy at the same time and melts in your mouth. The delicious gelato is just a bonus for coming here. Everyone needs to try the cookie. The staff is also very friendly, the location is great, and everything is priced fairly.

Just went by during hours it should be open and it looked like they may be permanently closed?Edit- they are permanently closed. I have been asked to update my review by the owner to reflect information about the product. The gelato is ok. If you are expecting traditional gelato, however, you may be surprised. They do not use sugar, which Im sure is a plus for many, but that is reflected in the flavor of the gelato. Its fine, and when it was the closest place to go, we were happy to patronize it. I dont know that I would go out of my way for it.

Truly incredible gelato! One of the highlights of moving back to Northern Virginia is living close to this shop. While all of the flavors are delicious, I cant get enough of the banana pudding and pistachio. And the great customer service is the cherry on top!

The gelato was delicious and perfectly sweet! And if you want something warm, they have crepes too!The gelato is fruit based with zero cane sugars - its sweetened with dates! They also have many plant based vegan options.This place is Black owned, Woman owned, and Veteran owned. The owners name is Thereasa Black.And, if all these reasons werent enough to earn your support, get this: they recently earned a small business grant from the one and only Beyoncé from her organization Beygood!!

Just tried this for the first time since they opened in Pentagon Row. Such great gelato! The Peach Cobbler literally tastes like pie and the We Woke has the perfect balance of chocolate and espresso. Plus, love that it has tons of vitamins and minerals. This will definitely be our summer staple for sweet treats!

The gelato is amazing. I first went because I wanted to support a black owned business and the reviews were great. I ordered a pint of banana pudding. I tasted some as soon as I got home. Loved it and figured I’d save some for later. I told my teenage son he had to try it and he finished it. I came back 3 days later to get another pint of banana pudding and peach cobbler. The customer service was good, staff were courteous. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because I believe when people work in food service, particularly prepare food, I think it’s best to wear a hair net or pull your hair back. The young man who made my gelato has lengthy hair that bounced around as he made my gelato. I hoped nothing got in it. All is well. Hair net or pulled hair back couldn’t hurt though. I’ll be back to try more flavors!

Veteran-owned business with a story that will make you proud to support. My boyfriend and I tell everyone we know about this place. The date-sweetened gelato is amazing! Our favorite flavors are banana pudding and we woke. I appreciate that there are also dairy-free options. Give it a try, you wont regret it!

Great story behind the business--the owner is a Navy vet with the cutest little daughter ever--and the gelato, in all its wonderful flavors, is top notch. I think Ive tried about all of them and couldnt begin to say which is my favorite

The gelato is OK if over-priced. The owner however seems like an extremely mean person who treats her teenage employees in a very demeaning way. She also claims to know the identity of every customer who has purchased a gelato at her place which is both obviously false and rather creepy.

This gelato is delicious! I visited the tent at the Reston Farmer’s Market at Lake Anne (Saturday’s) and bought myself a pint of cookies n cream.I like how the product is sweetened using dates and other alternatives to cane sugar.Buy local and support small business :)

As a pastry chef I 100% love love love what she has to offer. Also as a parent it makes my heart happy to know I can say yes to my children when they ask for a large serving size!

The gelato is really good (I personally like the chocolate and espresso flavors). Nice place to get some dessert after dinner. The cookies are fine. Havent tried any of the other menu items. They’re kind of slow (not really sure why) so expect to wait a bit

Oh mah gawd!! This gelato was so delicious. My son ordered the cookies and cream chocolate chip. I didnt even know I was doing something wonderful for him. No sugar!Anyway, we were about to walk away when he said mom taste this. I immediately purchased one for myself. There are plant based Gelato options. I got the one with ginger and fruit. I dont know how she does it. It tasted as fresh as real food. Hint of sweetness. My 2.5 year old ran around and played but, made sure to circle back for bites very frequently.Strong work. I live in MoCo. When I am in the area I will stop by Pentagon Row to purchase this. It should be in Whole Foods or MOMs. Please do a poppup next year post-covid (praying) at the food hall at Savor in Brentwood. Youd kill it in the summer and its an easier drive for me (wink)

We got the Banana Pudding and the We Woke (Chocolate Espresso) gelato flavors. They both taste great, and we will be trying more in the future!

Delicious! Came in on a whim for a cookie and gelato (sweet tooth today) and only wish I got one more cookie and a larger sized gelato. Independently owned-a rare treat in these parts-and super yum. The owner was working this evening and she offered a number samples and was quite welcoming. Will definitely be back for crepes and a few more offerings.

Lovely, cozy spot. I had a Nutella crepe with strawberry jam, and it was incredible. Already looking forward to next time.
