Extremely unprofessional. Walked in to buy an AR (used) and Glock. They were friendly and easy going. They guy told us if we had an issue removing the sights that were placed on the AR prior to our purchase, just come back in and theyll take care of it. I bought a case for the AR from here too, but after adding my sights to it, it no longer fit in the case. I brought back the AR and case within 2 days of purchase. They refused to even acknowledge that I had walked in. After finally flagging someone, they said all sales are final, we cant help you. They refused to remove the sights that were stripped on, had to go to another place to get them removed. The guns work great, but this place is trash for its customer service. They lie to your face just to make a sale.

This is just the saddest little waste of time. It’s as big as a closet and has almost no firearms. What they do have is pretty poor quality guns. Lame.

This is a wonderful place; clean, orderly, knowledgeable. Ive had two firearm transfers and both times the communication was excellent. They even have a consignment service where you can sell your used firearm. This is probably the best place to do it because of the high level of people coming and going. As long as Im in town, they have my business.

Complete price gouging on ammo. These are the kind of people just trying to take advantage of the current situation. Nothing but adding to the problem. No way a box of 25 rounds of 12 gauge bird shot should cost $25. Absolutely ridiculous.

Had to go to NOVA Armory a couple times when the COVID thing first hit. First time I went, had to wait in line outside for a bit, but it was a nice day and I didnt wait long. The second time I went, I made an appointment ahead of time and no waiting. Regardless, the staff is knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. Fellow customers were all just regular folk. A great experience! Also very convenient for me to go to. Highly recommend!

Started out smoothly, but soon as they hit a stumbling block all the window dressing seemed to fall away. I entrusted NOVA with add-ons for a new gun: at a month they were nearly there, before discovering they had fumbled the most important part of the install. Suddenly it was like pulling teeth trying to get an answer by phone, email, carrier pigeon, you name it. After much frustration I gave up and went to salvage my unfinished product.I fully believe these guys are as busy as they say-- if its not in their financial best interest to remedy a project I will be understanding. But waiting a week for a simple yes/no/go-away answer is inexcusable, and myself, I will be extra busy from the additional days of commuting needed to rectify this somewhere else. The gunsmith was pleasant on the phone and the rest of his work appears solid, but until their organization/communication improves you should consider yourself warned.

NOVA Armory is a great place. I ordered a gun at the beginning of COVID, the guys did a great job at keeping me updated the best that they could as to when I could pick it up. Then once inside the transition was super easy. Not to mention all of the employees were just dudes. Definitely a place I recommend.

I ordered two magazines from their online store to ship to my house.After 1.5 months post order I followed up via email on the status and ETA of the items to my house, no response for a few days, I followed up via email again and received a response that my items were in the store and to schedule time to pick them up.Replying to the above to understand why I needed to go to the store for an item paid for ship to house, the response wassometimes mix ups happen, sorry.I attempted to have the item shipped to my house as I purchased, no response, ended up canceling the order and getting a refund 2 months post order. Pretty disappointing from the customer service, and the online store not honoring the shipping requests.I can only recommend them for firearm transfers, if you want to buy accessories, or other items I would suggest taking your business elsewhere.Youll get better prices, service, and timely delivery from other stores.

Great guys who have the the knowledge to help you with down selections choices, fit and accessories, ammo, mags etc. Multiple visits and transactions allow me to say that they are exactly what you would like in a local business: Knowledge, experience, helpfulness, and positive attitude when working/assisting experienced and novice rifle and pistol owners.

Their online service was easy to use. At the peak of COVID-19, it took a while for my rifle to arrive, but was contacted by Nova Armory when it was in and easily made an appointment to pick it up. Nova Armory followed strict guidelines for dealing with the virus. Despite the risks and difficulties the employees were very professional. I would make a purchase from them again.

Ammo expensive. but given the immediate political/economic/public health situation thats understandable. Also offered us free pizza and candy but Ishant be swayed by such delicious bribery. Ive been going to these guys since they opened back in 2016. I can say as of Dec 2020, they are really doing it right. Its a great place to do business. Hey its a crazy time, so inventory comes and goes which is a problem all guns stores across the country have had. Good place for FFL transfers. You could find some slightly cheaper transfer prices...if you want to drive 30-45 minutes. But for close in convenience to NOVA/DC, you cant beat them.

Knowledgeable staff, polite and friendly, just always seem to be super busy/rushed because they are one of the few FFL gun shops in NOVA. Prices are typical for brick & mortar store, can get 10-25% cheaper online. Cant really ding them just would be nice if they actually had time to spend with customers, especially ones relatively new to the firearm scene.

The shop is nice and has good parking. COVID guidelines are followed correctly. The unfortunate part is that the workers are incompetent in the products. I drove 45 mins to get to the shop ready to buy and the shotgun they described was WRONG. Waste of time.

These guys were not very helpful in trying to assist me with my first arms purchase. They had me do a background check, that they told me takes 15 min, then they had me wait until closing saying sometimes it takes longer than that then they encouraged me to pay for my guns that they clearly had no intent on really selling me, asking me questions about why I wanted a gun, as if its not 2020. I left, was told I would be called when my background check comes in. I call them back and tell them Im coming for my $1200 refund, then ask that they call me when the background check comes in. They didnt. I call back a month later, they say owe its been more than a month, we dont have any records.. At this point, I would never recommend this place. I will go to Cabellas.

Nova Armory was awesome with how they treated me and the hassle free service I received. I am sad to say that even in this great nation of ours as a black legal gun owner I still face poor service from many local shops that dont want to honor my rights but not from Nova Armory, they treated me like someone that mattered and had priority for them to communicate with regarding my needs. At no point was I made to feel shunned, a burden for asking questions or even a suspect of anything wrong. I felt comfortable and as an ex war veteran, I felt they were well knowledable on the current stuff thats out to advise me on my purchase every time. Thanks

I ordered a Taurus 692 in early March and asked that it be shipped to NoVA Armory.As it happened, I picked it up on the Sunday before the world shut down.I have a fairly common last name, so the background checks normally take up to two hours.During the time I was waiting to be given the green light [and my gun !!], I watched numerous customers come in with questions and seeking to purchase what remaining stock was in the store.NoVA Armory staff was, without fail, courteous and helpful to everyone who came in. They countered every aggravated query about restocking very politely.I have window-shopped there, and it is most likely where I will make my next firearm purchase !

Rude staff, always too busy for customers. I stopped by last week, they didnt have time to help me. Went by again today at 3:30PM, opened up the door and was immediately yelled at Were closed! and no explanation as to why or if theyd be open later on or the following day. Youd think as for how small the store is and the limited inventory, they would be nicer to customers.If theyre closed during normal business hours, they should lock the door instead of yelling at customers. This may be why theyre going out of business.

So it seems everyone has had a decent experience with these guys, but that is not my case. I have been in touch with their support team and have only gotten one response from them after i sent several emails asking for someone to acknowledge my request. I purchased a shotgun from here and its been almost a month and still have not had any contact from them about my purchase. I had yo initiate the contact to get info on when my firearm would be ready to pick up.... no response so i try to cancel my order, again no response so i send 2 more emails and finally get Edward on the support team to respond to me and all he says is its been forwarded to the owner YOU ARE SUPPORT/CUSTOMER SERVICE is it not your job to cancel orders and respond to client emails. Again been almost a month and i have no clue whats going on, i just want my money back. Terrible experience

Pretty competitive pricing, very knowledgeable and friendly staff who takes care of the transferring process quite efficiently. Not a lot of guns and gears on display for you to look at, but they do have more in their warehouse and an even larger selection of firearms on their website. Highly recommend, would return for my furture purchases.

Used to be a good place for beginners to get a gun before COVID.Now the place is a complete mess. Dont bother making an appointment online they let anyone walk in and will make you wait for walk-ins even if you have an appointment.They are letting WAY too many people in the store at once -- it is packed. Some employees even do the mask under the nose thing. I saw at least one.No hand-sanitizer stations despite people handling all the guns on display.They have 3 checkout IPADS - all within a 5-10ft distance.And frankly the employees are not as polite as they used to be. I get they are overwhelmed but they cant seem to handle it.I also had one employee tell me my ejector on my Glock 17 was bent (it wasnt - thats how the new models are). So Im not even confident in their knowledge.I can only recommend this place as an FFL - and even then expect to show up and wait (even if you have an appointment), then expect to wait while the employees ask and figure out what forms need to be filled out, then if you are really unlucky you may even get a call 30 minutes after you left that you need to come back and sign something as they dont check the forms you filled out (yes really - though admitably I missed the field to sign)Overall: used to be good pre-covid, now its a mess and i can barley recommend them for FFL transfers.

Due to their location & large catalog, NOVA Armory is an excellent choice if you already have some idea of what you want to get. My email exchanges with them were prompt and professional. The website was easy to navigate and reliable. The turnaround time from purchase to pick-up was about 1-week. They moved me smoothly through the pick up/background check process. During another visit, they provided helpful advice on the type of weapon I should look for without trying to push an immediate purchase or an upsell. I particularly appreciate their discount for LEOs/Military. The only real drawback to this store is size and layout. Its very small and the on-hand stock reflects that.

STAY AWAY! As others have said there is something going on with this business during the pandemic. I ordered a handgun on April 4, 2020 after making an appointment using their online method. They called me and I gave my credit card info for the purchase. I was told it would take 7-10 days for the weapon to arrive at their location. April 14 I email them for a status and get a response saying they are waiting on shipping. I email again on April 21 asking again for a status or a refund, and they again saying waiting on shipping. On May 8 I email them asking for a refund since it has now been over 5 weeks, but they never answer the email. May 12 I make another appointment to try and get a refund but they never call. I then contacted an attorney and he advised me to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge because the merchandise was never received. I got my money refunded by my credit card company. I was lucky I used a credit card and not debit card for the purchase, because of the consumer protections. Stay away from this business. Maybe they will improve after the pandemic, but for now do not waste your time or money.

They have my money, for 2+ months. Still no items. Requested numerous refund/cancellation after i waited that long. Now its a fight with Paypal. I understand things are hectic/crazy, but when you receive multiple emails over the course of 2 weeks for refund/cancellation because its been 2 months and they still dont have my order... well you refund your client (thats bought from you on numerous occasions too).

Received a notice of a pending $799.00 payment to this place; via PayPal Team! A. I dont have a PayPal account! B. PayPal is prohibited from opening an account in my name! C. The email was immediately forwarded to the FBIS cybersecurity fraud unit! D. I read a review this business refused to let a customer in ,yelled at , and slammed the door shut! Ill bet the FBI will NOT be denied access! I gave this business the courtesy of calling them; their message states recorded Wednesday April 15! No answer during open hours as shown online , no return call; but I left a message regarding the above! Do NOT do business with this fraudulent site; and report any fraudulent action to the FBI!

I brought a Kriss vector from this guys a few months ago. They did the best they could to price match for me from a vector I found online and everything came out cheaper going through them instead. The staff was really helpful and kind and they have a great selection of stuff. If they don’t have it in display they will have it online.

I dont know how this store has any negative reviews. I just left the store with my gf and received some amazing service while purchasing a handgun. We were helped mostly by Jason, who answered all of our questions and was very informative and knowledgeable. All the other employees were friendly aswell though.
