I live down the street and love this store! However, the workers not so much. If you don’t mind EXTREMELY rude employees then this store is perfect. The selections are great and the shelves are normally very well stocked, but as you go to check out the person in front of you or you yourself will be given a load of attitude as you check out no matter how kind you are. Bad days are understandable, but the employees there seem to always have one at least from what I’ve seen the several times I’ve been.

Has been a long time since I have gone into a 99cent store but after going back into one. I dont think I will be going back. Not much in the store that is 99cents and the stuff that was, you can buy other places for 79cents or less

The store and selection is great. But when the employees dont make you feel welcomed, its makes it kinda hard to want to come back. The cashier not only didnt speak, but didnt even look up, just started scanning. And a barley audible mumble after I said Thanks, have a nice one. Hopefully Carla will be feeling better on subsequent visits.

The selection is pretty good and of course its a dollar store so prices are always good (not everything is a $1 but I will survive) However the cashiers are slower than watching paint dry. They are terribly untrained for running the registers and scanning, overall getting customers in and out of the store.Expect to wait in line for 15-20 minutes on a weekend.

I live close by so I come to this store all the time, Probably 5 times per week easily. Every single time without fail, there is a long line with usually just 1 cashier open.This makes for extra long lines and customers get angry and upset. The cashiers are usually very old ladies who look at their phone in the middle of scanning items because they are getting calls, then do not speak to you and scan the items as slowly as possible.The manager seems to be working hard which is why I am giving the extra star but she clearly needs help or a better management style. The lines should not be this long every single time. If there was a closer grocery store I would go there to avoid the long waits.

Im not from this area and was visiting my aunt so this is based on only one visit. Because of the location and other establishments close to this store, my expectations were pretty low. But I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and well stocked the store was. Plus there was very little clutter and plenty of room to maneuver the shopping cart past other shoppers. I get very agitated when I cannot go past someone on the same aisle without hitting their cart or brushing (and knocking down) merchandise hanging from clips from the shelves. So all in all the place was really good. I would have given 5 stars but I had a very hard time communicating with the employees I spoke to and couldnt find anyone who speaks fluent English.

This used to be such a cool store, now they hardly have any “home” items. Also, check expiration dates. I looked at home but these expired 3 days ago!

I love this store, what a fantastic addition to Arlington. I drive past several grocery venues just to come here. Most of the time I find some good items at a discount, but you have to be wary of the expiration dates. At the beginning when the store opened, it seemed like you would find something good every time you drop by. Not sure if it is the pandemic or what, but the variety of items are less than what it was before and the prices have increased as well. Normally what I would find for $1 is now $1.99.. maybe its the supply? Nonetheless, I hope the costs go back down to what they normally were or I would be considering shopping at the closer stores I pass each time I visit here.Also, some items are not priced properly or missing the pricetag entirely. Store motto is it is $1 unless stated otherwise, but often some items are not marked at all. Only when you check out do you get to see the price and sometimes it is a lot more than $1. I know that the variable inventory can make it difficult to keep up with prices, but there needs to be a more defined system of pricing items inside the store for the customer to clearly understand.

Its... Okay. Dont let the sign fool you. Many item in here are way over .99 cents. Not to mention the mark up is really high so they make their money off you coming for the trinkets and get you with the other items. Its a new store so very clean and knowledgeable staff. Lets revisit it in a year and see.

Mask up pleaseThey had some good deals if your good at knowing prices of other stores.As most of yall know now Not Everything is .99Cents in there stores anymore.So watch what you grab!If it has a price tag on it thats how much it is.And some of their price tags are hard to see cuz sometimes it blends in with the background of the package.

The cashier at the second register an older lady was so nice and professional. I immediately felt welcomed. The husky Hispanic guy was not helpful and told me the wrong aisle for everything I asked him for. The African American slender guy was professional and very helpful.

They didn’t let me exchange party supplies we decided to change colors so i just need it to exchange them the rude lady said is was seasoned and couldn’t exchange them they sell the same table clothes all year long the lady is rude the manager is rude tacking rude to employees in the middle of the store store number 2885 in Arlington tx 76014 so unprofessional i give one star because there is no option for cero

Overwhelmed cashier. Manager let the single lane build up to 7 customers, then took the last two when he opened a lane.

Was shocked by the price and items that they had. Found some really good deals too. The lady at checkout was very quick and very polite. We will come back again.

NOT REALLY 99 Cents Only should be the name. Signs in store say everything is 99 cents unless otherwise marked.[EDIT: I finally noticed on the shelves themselves it says 99.99 cents. Fine print. Ive added a photo. See the tiny .99 next to the huge 99?]Problems:1 - The items they have change frequently.2 - Some shelves have price tags, but they have price only -- no item name!3 - Some items have price tags on them, but not every item that needs a price tag has one.4 - When shelf has a tag (with no item name), you cant tell which items, of course; but you also dont know how far it applies. Is this thing four feet away also $4.99, in addition to... well, whatever is $4.99?BUT cashiers are pleasant about removing things when you find the real price is too high, and its fast.All the staff have been very pleasant, personable, and helpful.Go, and see what you can get for 99 cents. Like a half-gallon of Heinz ketchup! Yay! Also, look for Use By or Best By dates. Could be next week. ;-)Oh, and there are fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and more.

The store is always neat and clean whenever I visit. Im always curious to see what new items theyve added. My last visit however, there was no Social Distancing being enforced in the check-outs.

No matter what anyone says this Is my go to store. Perhaps you can name your store whatever you want, when you get in pick stuffs of .99 cents. When people see huge size name brand items and expect it to be .99 cents I just wonder what they were thinking to have felt the item would be automatically .99 cents. Anyways I go to this store for everything affordable and nice, do not hesitate and always make sure to read the prices before you pick these items.

If you are 18 and younger looking for employment DO NOT APPLY HERE , They Discriminate the young Adults trying to find a job for them selfs. This place is not an “equal employment opportunity” They will treat you differently . This is not the first time they waste people’s times, On top of that the Hiring manager is really rude . My experience applying for this company was awful I showed my interest personally went to this store about 4 Times and all those 4 times they rejected me and didn’t let me speak directly to them like I intended instead they talked for them self with out hearing me out first. The supposed manager at this store threatened violence against me when I rightfully got upset for him refusing to give me an apology because they treated me like a liar over $3 that I was supposed to receive as change.Said manager, and the cashier, were not wearing their masks correctly, and the manager got visibly irritated when I asked him why he wasnt wearing one.The person in front of me was also getting the stores information to make a complaint against this manager for a different issue.Im going to avoid shopping here until they can find better employees.

Was in a crunch for time and the store is literally right across the street from where I live the cashier was very friendly when I asked for help I needed some balloons blown up even offered to pay as if I were buying each balloon from the store unfortunately she did not have the time but told me to ask the manager who had just passed by when I went and asked he told me I could buy the balloons that they had but he was not going to help me because he was not going to waste his time like that he was very rude I will not be dealing with him again

Hi I am very disappointed with this store management , I use it to love this store until I saw with my own eyes how some manager treat a customer and also their workers I don’t understand how can they treat people like that and expected them to stay working there , you don’t trreat people like animals only because you know they need their job that doesn’t give you the right to treat them bad no one deserve to be treat it bad no matter what, if they continue acting like that they are going to loose all their good workers and people are going to stop going to that store and finally they will end up closing the store in the future, I hope they realize how the act and they changed before is to late because the store has good things but what most matters are the workers that have the store nice because if it wasn’t for them the store wouldn’t be organized and they won’t be no store without workers and the customer too , so start treating everyone nice and with respect if you want the people to continue gong to the store and the people working in the store

How dare your store employee say that the 2 children with me would have to wait longer in line because they will take more from others needing to shop. They were letting only one person in at a time and I understood that but to say we would have to wait even longer because of children is disgraceful and upsetting. What could a child take from a 99 cent store that would leave others in need. Will NEVER set foot here again. I hope upper management sees this and talks with their employees at this location because that is beyond disrespectful.

Good to outstanding great deals to be had. New store, so its real clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Most items are 99 cents, but be careful. Some 99 cent items are right next to items 1.99, 2.99 or more. Just make sure to check with the staff.

I just left the store. I found several things I was going to buy but, after standing in line for a while, an associate came up and closed the lane. She said we could go to one of the other lanes. Those were very long and we would have to start all over on our wait. I put my lttle basket on the floor and left. I will pay more for good service. I have managed retail for years. You HAVE to treat customers better than that. I wont be back. I will also share my experience with others.

Card reader never works making extra charges to the card..even if you pay in cash theres always that happens..

I love this place so much it has alot to offer for the 99cents price including produce and cold grocery, but also has some higher ticket items Ive seen up to $10 for home decor and hair tools. I keep stopping by on my way from work for name brand soda and porridge farm cookies. This new store has quickly made its way onto my list of local favorites.

We are So Thankful for having the store hear in Arlington. We just like to come to the store sometimes just to see whats new. Always come home with something. THE NAME 99 CENTS ONLY IS A LIE! (The name itself constitutes false advertising) -- When I see 99 cents only, I am expecting everything in the store to be ONLY 99 cents. When I made my first visit there, I picked out a few items and went to the register. When they cashed me out, I noticed that two of my items were $1.99 and $2.99 each. When I questioned the prices, they said 99 Cents unless otherwise marked. I told the lady that I didnt see any other price marked on the item by the store. She said that the MSRP price marked on the can by the manufacturer is the one they are charging. ( I noticed also that there are a lot of other things in that store that sell for a lot more than 99 cents.) BECAUSE THEIR NAME IS A LIE, I AM NOT GOING TO SHOP THERE AGAIN. -- At least Dollar Tree is honest.

We visited a few days ago. The store is clean and they had a lot of name brands. The only thing that I didnt like is that they didnt have the right prices posted with the item. For example, the butter there had a .99 the beneath it. It sounded to good to be true, so we had the item scanned. It was actually $2.99 each. There were a lot of products like that there. I would suggest to the manager to post the correct prices with the products or have nearby scanners for the customers so they wont feel scammed. Thank you.

Cant beat the prices. Got everything I needed to pack lunches for the week food myself, my son, and the BF. Including lunch, drinks, and desserts and water and snacks for $24! Bread, sandwich meat, cheese, breakfast sandwiches, chips, juices, waters, trailmixes, fruit cups, apples.

The store was a mess. The cashier was not friendly at all. There were signs stating that holiday items were on sale, but I was charged full price.

Mostly everything is 99 cents but like dollar general there is always something thats more than. But you can get produce and its conveniently located

Customer service is excellent, and managers are patient. They have music playing in the background, but not so loud it would bother those with sensory issues. They have a selection that varies from time to time. They will have Ambit reps from time to time, and that is the only real thing that bothers me. Kudos to staff!

We had this particular chain of 99 Cent store when I lived in the Bay Area and they were always a mazing. Was kind of sad to find out that there is only about two or three in the area and you really have to go out of your way to get to them. Still brand new, but Im sure they will stock up on the good stuff eventually.I remember when they only carried .99 items and that wasnt too long ago. So you really have to be careful cause they now sell dollar up items as well. I guess why mess with the name right?

Its a good place if you need to pick up something quickly. But there policy is on returning is a Joke I didnt even leave the stire amd notice something I bought was priced too high so I wanted my money back and they toke me they dont give back money only exchanged or store credit. The sign where I got my item at was wrong.

This is not only 99 cents store. You have to be really careful what you buy. I took one item 99c but I saw it on a diferent isle marked as 1.99. When they scanned it the real price was 3.99 dollars. Only 99c is just the stores name

This particular store the answer to my prayer! I am SO HAPPY to be able to continue shopping the deals. When I came go Arlington from Phoenix in August 2018 I was heartbroken not to have one in my CITY...in Phoenix, it was in my neighborhood! Now all is well. I posted several photos of things whch caught my eye today, but all I can say is to there. Become a regular so you know when things change...youll be really happy you did! See you there!

The manager with the gold tooth of the afternoon shift its so rude and treat so bad the costumers and employees I dont know why this company let there works like that this kind of people they should not work at all with employees and costumers its not fair having excellent employees and let it go; for managers like that with no education and with bads attituded do nothing about it and the company worst no wonder why every one its quiting this job always hiring new employees the way they treat so mean the employees and even the costumers the coorporation have to do something about it before they lost all costumers

A nice clean store filled with all kinds of household goods, groceries and seasonal items. Stuff has reasonable and discounted prices, but honestly, I thought the 99 in the name truly meant 99 cents and not 1.99, 2.99, etc.
