Just got my tongue pierced here and it was amazing! Its super clean and the staff was great. Piercer did a great job explaining the process and was very kind and patient. 11/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a piercing.

I won’t go anywhere but here. They’re all so professional and kind and you aren’t rushed. The piercers are all incredibly knowledgeable and the place is very sanitary. They take time to explain the after care and answer all your questions. Their priority is your comfort and happiness with the end result.I think the fact that they don’t even offer “surgical stainless steel” as an option is a testament to how great this place is. You can choose between implant grade titanium (can also be anodized if you want something colorful), white and yellow gold. There’s a lot of beautiful and unique jewelry to choose from and if they don’t have something you’re looking for they can order it for you.It’s a little out of the way for me but I happily make the trip because I’ve been to a few other places in the NOVA area and nothing compares. Seriously do yourself a favor and go here for your piercings.Thank you guys for always being so wonderful!

Wow! I had the most amazing experience getting my nipples pierced. I am legit blown away. The studio is very clean and well organized. They have a beautiful selection of jewelry to choose from. The sterilization process of the needles and jewelry is unlike any I’ve ever seen. You can tell they invested a lot to give their clients the best. Blake was so professional, accommodating and supportive. He is highly skilled and my piercings were relatively painless. I honestly could have not have asked for a better experience.

I had the BEST experience all through my visit. i came in for a walk-in appointment septum piercing and only waited for a very short time before i was taken back. the lady at the front desk was so incredibly nice and very informative with anything and everything. once i got back to the room, i was walked through everything that blake was doing and was informed about the whole process before we even got started. he was quick but careful with the piercing and i was over in a minute. he was clear and very very helpful when explaining after care and i even got my own cleaning solution. the jewelry was excellent quality and this whole experience was amazing. so glad i had the privilege to be pierced here :) !

I’ve been considering coming here until I took a look at the reviews more specifically how the business reply’s to the reviews. It seems they cannot take criticism and if they’re replying to a negative review I vividly image a 15 year old writing that. It’s highly inappropriate and unprofessional.

Got a nostril piercing by Amy, who was, as other reviewers have mentioned, incredibly thorough about explaining the process, including the piercing itself, jewelry handling, and aftercare. I felt very comfortable and sure in the chair.She marked the spot, let me verify positioning with a mirror, then stuck a sterilized needle through my nose to insert the tiny gold stud of my choosing.Front desk lady was very friendly and efficient. The entire visit from form signing to walking out the door, piercing in nose, lasted no more than 20 minutes.I live in DC and certainly have closer piercing shops to me, but chose CraigPokesU for the great reviews. I am so glad I did, no regrets! I will be back to change out for a ring once this guy heals up.I am thrilled! (Despite my serious-face pics below, lol)

I love this place. I got my ears pierced about 2 years ago, but I had to get emergency surgery only a couple of weeks after that. I had to take the earrings out of my still healing ears, and I wasnt able to make it back until recently. I was pretty sure one of the holes had closed, but when I walked in they took a look at it for me and determined there was just a thin layer of skin that was keeping me from being able to comfortably push through earrings on my own. Not only did they help me pick out beautiful new earrings, but they also helped me get the new earring through the hole I thought was closed without an additional cost. They were quick, clean, and the professionalism and friendliness has been top notch at every visit. Thank you!!!

The entire crew was great. Blake did my industrial piercing and was patient and amazing. He did an ear anatomy check, lined me up, made sure I was good with the placement, and pierced away. I left a very happy camper!! The shop is also very clean and sanitary. Blake also gets extra thumbs up for how he treated the customers before me when their little girl was all set on getting both of her ears pierced. He focused on the emotions & readiness of the young child (as his customer) and that made me smile.

As someone whos spent the better part of my twenties poking and prodding myself, this was one of the best piercing experiences Ive had. I went in to get my septum pierced, and the team was so incredibly patient and kind. They were both super knowledgeable and walked me through the whole process. I decided to get my nose pierced right before the pandemic hit so I had to wait until mask mandates were no longer in effect in order to get it done. I was very nervous about the entire procedure because of cleanliness during a pandemic, being around others without my mask, and the pain in general. Holly did my piercing and she was so good about helping me through my fears by talking me through step by step and showing me how the instruments were cleaned. Its a small shop and the parking entrance is actually hidden to the left and not the right of the building. They share a building with a tattoo parlour and a restaurant so be careful of where you park. They also take after care seriously and invite you back after a month for a check-up.

The entire staff is knowledgable, professional, and friendly! I first went to this shop for help with a tragus piercing that was several years old, done by another piercer, and they were able to get me situated with better quality jewelry and after care. Since that appointment, Ive gotten three new piercings with them and have had a wonderful experience each time!

A week ago, I went for an ear curation; a piercer looked at my ear and told me which piercings would be best because everyone’s ears are different. I ended up getting a conch and helix piercing. They don’t use piercing guns. They were very professional, knowledgeable, clean, and kind. I felt comfortable and not rushed during my entire visit.Although they take walk-ins, it is best to schedule an appointment through their website before arriving. They were fully booked on a Monday. Heads up, the parking lot is through a small little alleyway that’s hard to notice at first. Also, please if you are a minor, make sure your guardian brings the proper IDs as listed all over the website (I.e birth certificate, driver’s license, and passport). Also, the price of earrings may seem pricy to some people because they’re real silver and gold. It’s good that they’re real because I and others I know are allergic to fake metals. They also have titanium earrings which are good for people who are allergic to gold. They also have genuine and non-genuine diamond options. I asked them the price range over email before going, but it’s something that can catch people off guard. A suggestion for them would be to include a price range on their website. It’s also cash only but there is an atm on site. My piercings are healing nicely and they do one month follow-up appointments. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience!

This was my first piercing at an actual piercing place and it was everything I could’ve hoped for! The two people who helped me out at the front desk were so kind and professional when going through the paperwork and jewelry selection. They had so much jewelry to choose from that were all super cute. When I had to wait in the waiting room for about 10 minutes to wait for the piercer, Blake, to sanitize and sterilize everything, which I even saw him do through the little window in the lobby. When I got back to the room, Blake explained everything to me and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole experience. I got my tragus done and it was quick and easy! They say to come back a month later to get the piercing checked (free of charge) to make sure it’s healing nicely. 10/10 experience, would definitely come back again!!! Thank you!!

I was at the shop yesterday to do my first eyebrow piercing n was kind of scared how it would ho but from the front desk girl until my poking was done, it was a very smooth experience!! They were very patient n nice although i had so many questions. I did my piercing with Blake- a very kind n professional person. I love this place. I am a return customer and have gotten 2 piercings done by Amy. She is heaven sent and amazing at what she does. Not only does she take the time to make sure the piercing comes out how YOU want it, she super professional and super sweet. They sterilize they jewelry, clamps and needle right there so you know is super clean. They are amazing on their Covid-19 precautions right now. I will never go to another piercing shop again.

Had a good experience here when I first got my nose piercing done back in October 2020. They do have experienced piercers, but when I went back to get my stud changed to a hoop, I was extremely disappointed with the way the piercer handled the situation. It had been 8 months since I got my nose piercing and I know it was completely healed and ready to be changed. The piercer was unable to get the hoop through the hole and proceeded to poke around with the needle trying to find the hole. She was clearly damaging the tissue and causing bleeding and swelling but continued to poke around trying to find the hole. I had to be the one to stop her and question why it was hurting so much and if we should even continue if theres all this damage being done to the area. This experience was a million times worse than when I actually got my piercing done. She tried to say that the mucous membrane closed up that quickly in a matter of SECONDS when she took my stud out. No honey, you could not get the hoop through and proceeded to poke around the original hole causing damage to the tissue around it and making me have to go through the healing process again. She couldve stopped when she couldnt find the hole the first 50 times she poked around there and let me know that it wasnt healed enough, but I had to be the one to stop her after being in excruciating pain. I had to go back home with the stud in, in pain, with all this swelling in the area and she told me wait another month to try and change it again. I definitely will NOT be returning to get my jewelry changed and sincerely do not recommend going back to change your nose stud to a hoop here. This was traumatizing and dont wish this upon anyone.

Fantastic experience here! I needed new jewelry and help changing my jewelry. Staff is very professional, timely, friendly, and helpful. There is a large selection of jewelry and the space is incredibly clean. Being new to the area, the piercer who helped me knew my former piercer which was a huge plus for me! Amazing!!! Everyone was super nice and helpful, and informed me on my questions in such a polite manner. Amy, was the absolute best. They informed me on when to breathe in and out for my piercing, with minimal pain! I felt a little dizzy after standing up but they immediately got me a cup of water and a packet of gummy worms to get my blood sugar up!! Took my 7 year old daughter to get her ears pierced, and it was a wonderful experience start to finish. We were a walk-in on Sunday and lucked out in that two piercers were available, so Blake and Amy each pierced an ear simultaneously. I walked in then said i wanted my tragus pierced and on the website it said 30 dollars, after almost 40 min of waiting they finally called me to talk about the piercing then turns out it’s 30 dollars because it’s tragus then 70 just to get it pierced this not including jewelry either. They told me the total would be 270? When on the website it didn’t say from 30 it said it was 30. Then my cousin wanted her belly pierced and were very rude about piercing her and said they wouldn’t didn’t explain much and just kind of walked away from her before we could ask any questions.Update: their reply is a clear example of their unprofessionalism, we weren’t the only people walking out in frustration.. Also if just to get pierced is 70 you might as well update ur website and say starts from 70 for each piercing.

Cant say enough great things! Got my first nose piercing in November. A really tiny diamond stud. Process was quick and relatively painless. Noticed 2 1/2 months later that the stud seemed to be sinking in my nose. Reached out and they responded immediately that I could come in the next day- no appointment needed. Went the next day and swapped for a bigger one. Took all of 5 minutes. The establishment is very clean and sterile. They follow sanitation procedures and staff is super friendly!

Theres nothing about my experience I wasnt thrilled about. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and comfortable. They helped me pick the right jewelry for me, found the right spots, and went at my pace. Blake did an AMAZING job of explaining everything that was happening and why, what was going to feel weird or a little painful, and I left feeling so warm and fuzzy and loved. I went in for a naval piercing, and was told they could not do it after waiting for like 20 mins, the reasoning made no sense

I got my second and third earlobe piercing done on each ear today. Blake and Amy both helped me with my piercings, but we primarily spoke with Blake. He and the rest of the staff were extremely patient and kind with me through my millions of questions leading up to the piercing. He was very good at helping me relax and prepare for the pain. After all four piercings where done, he reassured me that I did well and chatted with me for a bit while I calmed down. I am a huge germaphobe, and Blake took cleanliness and hygiene even more seriously than I do, so I know I was in great hands. Its been ten years since Ive gotten a piercing, and I know the work I had done today was far superior to what I got in the past. Im extremely grateful to Blake and Amy for making this a simple and pleasant experience!

I have been getting piercings since I was 16, so Ive been to many different places but nothing beats CPU.I was hesitant to go because the pricing was way more than I have ever paid if I am being honest. But after today I dont see myself going anywhere else for as long as Im living in the DMV area.For starters when I called for information the young lady who answered was super nice and answered all my questions before I could even ask. I walked-in here today because I was having problems with a daith piercing I got at another piercing shop. The check up was free. Blake took his time to check out my piercing and recommended I take it out because of the placement. I felt so good leaving there knowing I just prevented potential problems with the piercing. It only cost $10 to take out the piercing. Thank god its out! I also got my nose piercing here a few months ago. I would definitely recommend this place. This place knows what theyre doing!

Been pierced here twice so far and both times have been fantastic. Most recently I was pierced by Amy and she made the process a breeze. Everything was explained to me beforehand, including how I was suppose to care for my new piercing. I took my 8 year old daughter here (over and hour drive) last night for ear piercing and couldn’t be happier. Our piercer Lindsey was fabulous. She explained everything and made my daughter feel very comfortable. The whole process was great and even the front desk staff was patient and helped us and answered all our questions. And the best part is that she said it barely hurt at all and even on day 2 it doesn’t hurt!Such a far cry from how I had my ears pierced as a child in the 80s!Highly recommend !

I read so many great reviews about this place that I immediately made an appointment. When I arrived all of the pieces were in place for a terrible experience: an accidental system double book and a piercer who had to leave early. But that’s where this incredible customer service kicked in. The staff remained patient, courteous, and quick thinking. They managed to fit everyone in and still took the time to give me one-on-one service in discussing placement and jewelry. I didn’t feel rushed and they gave me, and every other customer I saw them work with, honest advice, thorough temperature/ID checks and safety measures, and guidance on everything from placement to aftercare. 1000/10 recommend.

I really appreciated the customer service and the cleanliness at this shop. My piercer, Amy, was quick and skilled. Which is appreciated because it doesnt exactly feel good to have a needle plunged through nose and cartilage. Shell explain everything shes going to do, and tell you when you need to breathe through it.The jewelry was a bit pricey, and the prices shouldve been labeled, as theres no refunds on jewelry (I 100% understand that policy). thats the only reason Im deducting a star. And its only because I feel like it will make customers feel more comfortable. Id only deduct half a star if Google would let me. Otherwise, great staff, super helpful and theyll let you take your time with picking out your jewelry. You have to make an appointment. I got a same day appointment via their website. The dino and the stud above it are the new piercings. I loved that I could get pierced with the jewelry I wanted to wear right then.

I will be coming here for any future piercings. First of all the staff is the best! I wanted a nostril piercing but was concerned about the pain. The staff was completely patient and walked me through every step of the process. I’m a bit of a drama queen and they constantly reassured me that everything will be alright and were super patient with me (which lets me know they have to be good with kids). Amy was my piercer...she was beyond patient, professional, and soooo nice. She made me feel comfortable enough to consider coming back to have her pierce the helix on my ear. I can’t remember the name of girl who worked the counter and answered the phone but she was great and even remembered talking to me on the phone when I inquired about getting my nose pierced. I did pay more than what I anticipated but I felt it was worth it. The price included the cleaning solution to clean my nose and I like how they included a follow-up appointment. Btw...this is one of cleanest establishments (including restaurants) that I’ve been to when it comes to COVID cleanliness. They constantly wiped everything down, enforce that you keep your mask on, check your temperature, etc. I definitely recommend this place for anyone getting pierced.

Awesome body piercing spot!

I am a HUGE tattoo person! The thought of piercings usually cause me to freak out pretty bad. I’ve had quite a few over the years with not so memorable experiences. It’s been YEARS and on a whim my fiancé and I went and got piercings that had some bad reactions. I removed mine completely and she seeked out another professional to help her with her healing process. *Dramatic music plays* and in walks Amy at Craig Pokes U to save the day. The entire experience was one for the books! My new found best friend Tishy that works the front desk was extremely professional and welcoming. She clearly knows not only her job but a thing a two about different piercings and experiences as well. She reassured us that Amy was awesome and we were in good hands. Without fail, my fiancé’s piercing was looking 1000x better within days and it made me rethink getting another piercing. So I called back and scheduled my appointment with Amy. I had 50 questions for Tishy regarding the piercing and she was knocking the answers out of the park. What I appreciated about her is that if she didn’t know the answer she didn’t bs me, she went and spoke with one of the piercers and got back with me right away.So the piercing experience: was pretty damn smooth! I was freaking out and preparing to basically black out from the pain, but as Amy explained every single step the entire way, before I could even panic I was done. She was quick, extremely smooth, and very patient. My septum was easily one of the smoothest piercings I have ever had!If you are looking for a great experience and sense of comfort about your decision to get a piercing or add to your art do not hesitate to check them out. It is well worth the money and you absolutely get what you pay for.

I was visiting from Philly. Blake was my piercer and he is absolutely amazing. I got my nose pierced and it took all of 7 mins but in that time he was very profession, engaging, and knowledgeable. I left feeling like we were friends lol. I’ll travel to Craig’s again for this kind of service.

Loved this shop! Ready to go back for another piercing. Lindsey did my nose and helix and she was so good and professional. They take covid very serious too which is great. its been 2 days since I got it done and Ive hardly had any pain or swelling at all. I only give it 4 stars because the jewelry is so beautiful but so very expensive. Like $150 expensive. I ended up spending an addition $50 for something titanium, but Ill probably go back for their jewelry in the future because I loved a few pieces so much. Overall, best first experience and I recommend everyone to go here!

My 7 yo wanted his ears pierced so bad, so we came here and happy we did. Everyone was very nice and inviting, they explained everything in detail and it was super clean. Blake did an amazing job! He talked my son through the whole procedure and he had another girl pierce one ear while he pierced the other at the same time. It was quick and he made my son and myself feel so comfortable. We had such a great experience here and I will definitely go back for future piercings. Its been a week and my sons ears are healing beautifully. I could not have asked for a better experience, I would definitely recommend.

I went here for two piercings, and the entire experience was lovely! Blake did my piercings, walking me through all the steps he was taking and ensuring that I was calm and felt fine throughout the entire process. I was also told all the aftercare steps and able to ask questions the entire time! I highly recommend this place, and look forward to going back for more piercings!

I was nervous about getting my first cartilage piercings, but was immediately reassured by the professionalism, cleanliness, and kindness that I found at CraigPokesU. My temperature was taken, I signed some forms, the jewelry and tools were sterilized, and every surface I came in contact with was wiped down so I felt very comfortable and safe. Every step of the piercing process was clearly explained by Blake so I knew what was going on. More money than Ive spent on piercings before, but really great quality and service that definitely make it worth it.

Me and my friend went to get piercings. They took us as walk-ins. We showed up and Amy is the one that pierced both of us. She was very nice and helpful. Made the entire process super easy and quick. My friend got another piercing by Blake and he was nice and made sure my friend was happy with the placement of her piercing on the bridge of her nose as well as asked about her glasses use to know where exactly would be the best place for her jewelry. Both were very professional. It was a very good first experience at this location.

My fiancee and myself went in to have our ears pierced. The staff (Rob and Tishy) were very knowledgeable and experienced. The atmosphere was inviting, laid back like being at home. The furniture is antique and fantastic! The selection of jewelry was great! Dont listen to the bad review, come check it out you wont be dissapointed! Oh, just remember Dont freakin touch it!

I made the mistake of going to other piercing shops in the DC area and always found my way back to Craigs to fix their mistakes. Craigs only uses top quality jewelry where other shops will give you cheap jewelry which ultimately always gave me some sort of infection. You get what you pay for at Craigs and theyve always been professional, funny, nice, and welcoming. I cannot say enough great things about this shop. I will be back in the future :)

I went to CraigPokesU to get my tragus and my double piercing done. Their professionalism and cleanliness exceeds any place that Ive ever gone to before for my other piercings.Tish behind the counter was super friendly and patient as I made up my mind as to which piercings I wanted to get done and the respective jewelry. Amy was great at explaining exactly what was going on while she was measuring and setting up where to place my piercings, the sterilization process and the aftercare.I really liked how they took the time to sterilize everything from the needles to the jewelry while I was there, so I could see it with my own eyes as opposed to having to take their word for it and hope for the best. I also liked the variety of jewelry. The venue itself was super clean.Only feedback Id give is to be more clear on the pricing of jewelry so that it can be seen by the customer before having to select it. Jewelry was a bit on the pricer side, and it would be good to know what to anticipate because I was assuming Id spend $100 for my piercings based on the information online, when in reality it was actually double that. Not the biggest deal based on the quality of the place, but just to be able to anticipate how much one is actually going to spend and set the correct expectation.As someone who has gone to about half a dozen different places for my piercings, based on my initial experience, I would recommend and come back.

DO NOT... i repeat.... DO NOT GO HERE - absolutely horrible experience. I would give them negative stars if I could. The piercing I received put me in the hospital overnight and I am on antibiotics for an infection from the piercing I received.

The best piercing place I have been to. Everyone was super nice and the piercer explained everything. Will definitely go there again for my next piercing. It was also clean and they sterilized everything.

100% recommend this place. I got my nose pierced right before COVID, it was painless and healed really fast with no complications. I decided to come back today to get my septum pierced. They were doing temperature checks, and they were sanitizing the iPads and the counter after every single customer. Blake was the one who did my piercing and he was amazing. He was really nice, he made me feel extremely comfortable, he told me step by step what he was doing as he was doing it, so no surprises, and the piercing itself did not hurt at all. I will definitely be coming back here for any future piercings :)

Couldnt speak more highly of my experience at CraigPokesU. I worked with Blake on two separate appointments for a nose piercing on the right and left side, respectively. Blake was very easy-going and patient in ensuring we selected the best possible placement for the piercing, and a total masterclass when it came to the deed. He explained every step in the process as he performed it, and also provided thorough aftercare instructions. At the second appointment, to match the placement of the right-side piercing on the left-side, he was especially attentive in ensuring the new addition would complement and mirror the location of the first. Ill never go to anyone else, and recommend them both to first-timers and those seeking a new addition.
