Richard Johnson at the Bray & Scarff in Arlington, VA, helped me in purchasing a new refrigerator on 10/26/21. I hadnt bought a new refrigerator in over 20 years, and sizes, colors, etc., have changed a lot in that time. At first, it didnt appear that B&S had a refrigerator that would fit the dimensions of my kitchen. However, Mr. Johnson went the extra mile in searching on the computer for one that would work for me. He spent quite a bit of time on the search and was determined to find something for me. And success --- he found a beautiful Whirlpool refrigerator that will work perfectly. He explained everything to me in great detail and answered all my questions. He was extremely personable and helpful and it was a real pleasure to work with him. I have used B&S before and have always returned. Since my experience with Mr. Johnson, Ive recommended B&S to a friend who needs a new dishwasher. He gets an excellent rating across the board!

Not ready to start the remodel but the old fridge is going…We had a series of bad interactions trying to find a refrigerator that would fit in our Condo. The dimensions just prevent a wide range of options, and we are usually left with either Builder Basic or high end Cafe models. We tried shopping online and visiting showrooms and kept getting met with the upsell or dismissal. We had one salesman ask us why not just remove the cabinets?Already frustrated, I called Bray&Scarff and Ali answered and was immediately understanding and helpful. He cautioned about general availability but promised he would do what he can. He jumped right in and started searching. He was patient and reassuring as he kept at it and never made us feel bad for just wanting a simple model. He found one that fits for a very reasonable price AND he found us the matching Microwave AND he was able to give us discounts on the price AND it can be delivered /installed this Friday! AND he even made me laugh at the situation.It’s reassuring that customer service isn’t lost in the pursuit of sales; I will be back when we do our remodel and would give highest recommendations if you are having problems shopping for appliances to call/visit Ali at the Arlington Bray&Scarff.

Jerome was great. He made the process of purchasing a washer and dryer easy and seamless. He knew all of the product features and I felt informed as a customer. He didnt use any push sales tactics or try to upsell me. Plus Bray and Scarff has the same prices as Home Depot and Best Buy. I received great customer service and the best pricing.

From the beginning to the end the experience was great. The Bray and Scarff sales rep helped to get our appliances to us in time for our kitchen remodel despite challenges in the supply chain across the country. Our sales rep even recommended a better dishwasher to replace our original option which was delayed with little increase in cost. Incredible respect for the 2 man delivery team that had bring in 6 separate appliances up a large hill after a heavy rain to my back interest. Their perseverance is highly appreciated!!!!

I’m planning to update my kitchen soon and went browsing for a new refrigerator. I wanted to shop locally instead of buying from a commercial chain store. I chose to browse at Bray and Scarff and was helped by a Ms Katarina. She was immediately helpful and recommend a few options that would best suit my needs. She was very thorough when answering my questions, especially about the dimensions I’d need! Jerome is great. I have been stressed for so many days in talking to many salesperson about replacing my washer. So many mixed advices out there that requires me to purchase newer models and in set of dryers and washers so that they can be stacked. My salesman, Tyrone Gibson assisted me with my new upright GE freezer selection. Due to Covid, GE had long shipping delays. Tyrone provided me a monthly update as to when he hoped GE would ship freezers and was always a delight to talk to. I have been buying appliances from Bray and Scarff since 1970s and have always had wonderful experiences. My kitchen appliances are aging and I will order new appliances from Bray and Scarff when they start to fail.

We had a cooktop replaced and there was interference with a drawer in our island making it unusable. We asked for service Jeremy Payne from service came out and engineered a solution to give us full use of the drawer. Creative pleasant and efficient. Could not ask for more

We have purchased a washer/dryer and refrigerator from the Arlington location and cant recommend them enough. Our salesman for the refrigerator was Ali, and he was so helpful, understanding exactly what we needed. The sales and delivery departments were super helpful in solving a problem after delivery as quickly as possible!

We were extremely pleased with the entire experience of selecting, buying and installation of our new dishwasher. Ali Sajid was our salesperson and did an outstanding job of showing us dishwashers that would meet our needs, explaining and comparing features and enabling us to make an informed decision. He further explained the warranty coverage that made sense and provided necessary protection. He gave us a realistic delivery schedule based on the backlog of appliances, and were pleasantly surprised when the dishwasher was available well ahead of the projected delivery date. As we had special installation issues, Ali offered to advise the delivery crew of those requirements to avoid installation delays/issues. He scheduled delivery to meet our needs. The delivery was on time. Mario, the installer had an amazing amount of experience removing old and installing new appliances. Our old dishwasher presented a big challenge to remove, but Mario took the time to find the best way to remove the appliance. He installed the new dishwasher and noticed that the insulation stuck out from the sides of the dishwasher and would not provide much noise damping. As there were no side panels in the opening the dishwasher fit into, Mario cut plywood to serve as panels and ensure the insulation was flat against the dishwasher. His efforts worked and the insulation greatly cuts down on operating noise. Both Ali and Mario provided outstand service for us and we look forward to working with them on future appliance buys.

However, we received only one email on 13 March and since then, we have been the ones calling our Sales Rep. In addition, we have left messages some of which were not returned...so, we called again. Once again, we chose Bray & Scarff because of their previous customer service and reliability even though, while shopping for appliances...we could have saved more money at Home Depot. Best prices around and great customer service! We had to put our kitchen renovation on hold due to the pandemic. Bray & Scarff was very easy to work withas we ended up changing our order a couple of times. When one of the items wasnt going to be available due to factory shutdowns, they let us know in advance and found an alternate model in stock that let us complete our kitchen on time. The experience was night and day compared to a family members recent order from a big box store. Will definitely go back to them for our next set of appliances!

Outstanding experience purchasing a GE Profile built-in microwave oven, to replace the original, broken one in the condo we bought. I provided the measurements and old (discontinued) model number to Tyrone, the assistant store manager, and he came back in two days with a recommendation after he and the design department investigated availability. To my good fortune, the new GE microwave and trim kit were in stock, and installation occurred two days after we agreed to proceed. The installers were professional, courteous, proficient and wore masks.It was a simple, seamless process. This was a relief because I had first tried another appliance store in the area, only to be met with a three-month long delay in trying to order the same GE Profile microwave, which Bray & Scraff was able to install in less than a week, without ever having to visit the showroom.

Katie provided great insight into the current situation with appliance availability. She helped us make some timely decisions regarding our plans. I always try to use Bray & Scarff when I need appliances.

So upset about their customer service and service department. Our fridge is not cooling. We had to wait 1 month to get someone to come out and take a look. Within 5 minutes, the tech was able to diagnosed what was wrong. Payed $120 for that. Now the part is $250 and on top of that we have to pay $150 for service. Why?? Why??Very disappointed!!

Very helpful staff. Marelen helped us with picking out appliances for our kitchen project. It was easy to make an appointment so social distancing was not an issue . They were happy to work with us concerning delivery etc. Everyone was wearing masks but a couple of people were not wearing them correctly and that bothered me. Hopefully someone will see this and remind the sales people that keeping mouth AND nose covered is the key.

I am a senior living in a condo, so there is limited space. I needed a washer and dryer, but going to the usual places I found all the new models were too big. I researched the web and found that to fit my space I was going to get very small units.So I went over to Bray and Scarff on Lee Highway and met Ali. I can’t tell you how knowledgeable, helpful and resourceful he was. I had made all the measurements per instructions on the web, but he suggested having a professional make the measurements ($49), which I did . To my pleasant surprise I was told they could indeed put in a full size washer and dryer.I can’t tell you how thrilled I was. But was he right that this new big units would fit? He arranged the delivery, and the night before I received a text saying they would be here in the morning. Twenty minutes before they arrived , they called me for instructions to get in the building and use the elevator.And then there it was going into my space, brought in by two men who were well trained and efficient. They had to take down a door to get them in the laundry room, which they did. They set up the machines and tested that they worked. They did a great job snd were very pleasant.I am absolutely thrilled with this interaction and I’m ever so grateful to Ali for making this happen the way we would all like it to happen.! Go see him— he will make it the same for you.

I was in desperate need of a refrigerator and started out looking in a large hardware chain. The customer service was horrible. I wasted $30 on a measurement fee because I could never get anyone to even answer the phones after the measurements were taken. I decided to try Bray & Scarff where I thankfully met Jerome. He really listened to me and was so patient as I waffled between different brands and models. Someone always answered the phones (even Jerome who also happens to be the manager), and if they were busy with another customer, I got a return call soon afterwards. I decided on the GE Cafe’ platinum appliance package, and am beaming with joy. That refrigerator is phenomenal and I love the glass coating over the stainless steel. Fingerprints easily wipe off all 5 pieces that I purchased. If it wasn’t for Jerome, I would have settled for something else and regretted it. Jerome deserves kudos and I would give him and Bray @ Scarff more than 5 stars if I could.😁

Tyrone Gibson did a great job walking us through the process of switching from an electric to induction cooktop. We made the decision over the course of months and many visits to the store. Update - 6/21 and STILL waiting for a working Fischer Paykel fridge. This has been a comedy of errors. Sales has pushed this off to the service department, no one at this company is being responsive. 08/25- still waiting for a part with unresponsive customer service.

Recently we had a broken dishwasher that needed to be replaced and decided to try Bray and Scarff in Arlington since good ole Sears was not an option any longer. We contacted them and made an appointment. Arrived prepared with the Bosch model we wanted based on consumer reports and other research. Met with Katie who advised us the model we wanted was discontinued but she found offered a similar model which was also highly rated. Katie was very professional and attentive. We had been looking for a washer and dryer to fit into a relatively small room, but could find nothing between compacts and giants. After several unproductive trips to Lowes and Home Depot (during the pandemic), I emailed Bray and Scarff and Ali got back to me. We will definitely call upon Ali the next time we need to purchase an appliance.BACK AGAIN, this time for a dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. Ali helped us navigate all the complications brought on by the pandemic and guided us to the best available options for each appliance. This included an immediate purchase of the dishwasher and reserving the stove and refrigerator on an as available basis -- for the best possible outcome under the circumstances. The dishwasher was installed by a skilled technician, Jaime Medrano, who was prompt, courteous, and very patient in insuring that everything worked properly before leaving.

We walked in today to look at appliances for our new house we are building and we were the only ones in the store. Barely got a hello. Worst customer service. Don’t waste your time or money going to this store

This was our second purchase from Bray & Scarff. We enjoyed working with Ali when we bought our washer and dryer two years ago, so we returned to work with him again when we needed to replace our range and microwave. They needed to cut the granite counter and replace the circuit breaker. Bray & Scarff offered to do both, but we were able to do both for much less than what they would have charged. Installation was a breeze, and we are happy with both of our shiny new toys, particularly the induction cook top on the range.

Our new kitchen looks amazing thanks to the help of Matt Bernier! We wanted white appliances (refrigerator and dishwasher with a stainless steel stove) to go with our new white kitchen. We went to Bray and Scarff to look at the Whirlpool Ice White appliances. Matt pointed us in the direction of Fisher and Paykel instead. Although they did not have the white appliances in the store he showed us the stainless steel versions of the appliances and made us confident that these appliances were the right choice. We trusted Matt and bought the white fridge/dishwasher sight unseen. We could not be happier with the sleek white appliances in our new kitchen. His knowledge of all the products out there led us in a direction we would never have known.I have bought appliances from other places before and I will never go back to those big box stores. Our experience with Bray and Scarff has once again been excellent. We want to thank Ali Sajid for his excellent help and keeping us posted on delays due to manufacturing back ups. He even offered to substitute another refrigerator because of the delays. I in particular we want to complliment Meka and Edox for their superb installation services both on our new washing machine a couple of weeks ago and on our new refrigerator just installed this morning. For the washing machine, it was scheduled for late afternoon, but they were running late. But they kept us fully informed and, when they did the installation in the evening, it was clear that they were exceptionally thorough and courteous in spite of what had clearly been a very long day for them. That proved true again today with the installation of our refrigerator and relocating our old refrigerator in our basement. Meka noticed a leaky valve where the icemaker was to be hooked up to the house water supply, but he was equipped and fixed it carefully and quickly. Both Meka and Edox were professional, courteous and friendly.

Jerome could not have been more patient and helpful under difficult supply circumstances!

I ordered a small freezer in March at the height of demand coupled with a low in production . Ali has provided excellent customer service, keeping me up to date on predicted delivery (or not!). Its not an easy job to constantly give potentially disappointing news but he never failed to keep me informed. Great job! (and freezer due this week).

Jerome has helped me before, at the Fairfax location and we relocated to Arlington and he once again was able to help us, his customer service was phenomenal and very knowledgeable, he definitely helped us make the right decision for our kitchen upgrades. Thanks and he’s truly a great guy!

We love our new fridge! Marelen went above and beyond to help us find a refrigerator that fit in our kitchen and in our budget. We will definitely be going back to Bray & Scarff for our future appliance needs.
