Absolutely delicious! Great view and atmosphere! The waitresses were very nice and helpful and had great recommendations. On the pricier side, but so worth every penny!

Theres a great view and the service is incredible. The food was excellent and the House Mojitos superb.

The restaurant has an incredible view of the Atlantic ocean. Although the food was excellent, the service wasnt. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a waiter to come to get our order, we have to wait a lot for the plates been retired and for order a dessert.

This is our second time eating here. The first time was about seven years ago. Food was incredible both times, excellent service and the views are to die for. Can’t wait to go back on our next visit to Puerto Rico!!

Although the attendance forgot that we were there, and I had to get up my chair to said hello we are there, the experience was good. And extraordinary view of the September sunset. And an excellent plate, make the expensive dinner worth it. All in a rustic by the ocean setting.

Please change the hostess!!!. What a miserable soul. Is not what you say but how you say it.. This not a restaurant to afford a hostess so arrogant and nasty. Believe me we could have gone anywhere else to have dinner but decided to give a try. The food and view were very nice. Our waitress was a sweetheart. However, food was expensive. We were verbal about our experience with the waitress and really hope this girl gets the message. Your clients pay to be treated with care. A little respect for a $400 bill could have taken you to the next level. Not coming back.

Location is amazing. Occasional helicopter landing in parking lot is fun for kids.Food is seafood with mixed results. Paella is a hit. Octopus salad is a little rich on the vinegar. Steaks are seasoned well. Recommend the plantains and rice/bean side. Service is great for English or Spanish speakers.

I don’t know what the hype was all about this place. There food was tasteless/bland. Drinks were horrible. We ordered 2 appetizers to start off with - one of them was the octopus & it didn’t taste fresh - almost like they opened up a can, warmed it up and threw that oily mess in a plate. Never again & I would not recommend this place to any of my friends. Took forever to even get the drinks- We actually had to get them ourselves. Not even a glass of water. So happy that we did not order dinner. Overpriced. We will not revisit.

Wonderful place to watch the sunset. Food is varied and excellent. Service is impeccable. Menu was fully explained. Followed Covid precautions. Last time I came it was only indoor dining, but addition of outdoor seating was an excellent idea. Highly recommend.

Ask for the sea food paellas. Also ask for the catch of the day, theyll bring it to your table so you can choose your fish before cook it. It doesnt get fresher than that.

Great view with good food. The reason on the 4v.5 was because the lobster in the paella was overcooked, it was hard and extremely chewy, we had to add sauce and limes to make it easier to chew. The asopao, and lobster tail were really well cooked and seasoned.

Its a great place to be for special occasions..The location can be spectacular during day time, to see the waves caressing the rocks and boulders and on some of the sandy shores of this beautiful island.Fortunately for me it was blue skies and without a single cloud. The food was worth the wait. I suggest you have a drink or an appetizer and enjoy the view during your wait. It could take from 30 to 45 minutes for your main dish, it depends on how crowded.

Awesome restaurant for seafood. It is so good that we drove here from San Juan two straight days just for the food (mostly). Outdoor seating has beautiful coastline view with bigger waves. The baked fresh yellow tail snapper was delicious!

We had the daily fresh fish and it was superb! Mahi Mahi and Ahi Tuna, both perfection! This restaurant came as a sincere recommendation from a local friend and we were thrilled we took the advice. Also gorgeous ocean view on patio, just perfection for us

Dee. Lish. Ous.Atmosphere is so good. Feed was lately excellent. Everything was well seasoned. We stopped after visiting Cueva del Indio and it was a great choice. Ive cold beers. Fresh seafood. Friendly service. If you can make a reservation do it... We walked up and had to wait... and there are a lot of folks with reservations. Buen Provecho!

Healthy and delicious...good service, good drinks...great outside scenery!

Tourist zone in front of the beach, restaurant looks good , but I have to say it took a while to get our drinks and flies were everywhere Makin it harder to eat, pigeons where bothering too because there is no net to keep them out, view is great, they got to fix that , put a net or something to keep clean and smooth on the dining.

The food and service were excellent. The grilled octopus was tender. Dorado mofungo was filling and tasty. Local beer $3!

Everything there was good!! Seasonally they serve a small local river fish (yellow from the seasoning) on their menu. My husband recommends it!! I got the Coconut shrimp and it was delish. Oh and the rice and beans were seasoned perfect!Views are great and there was a cool breeze that was nice after exploring their local cave. Service was great. We sat outside on the deck under a big shade tree, beautiful!

Beautiful scenery. Great service and tasty dishes. Went just to taste Cetí, a delicacy worth trying. Had it in empanadas and on cassava mofongo. Will be back!

Costal Gem at the Sea ...the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We also stayed overnight in their mini hotel. Its very clean, modern, and its a nice place to relax.

The food is fresh, great, savory, of excellent appearance and smell. The waitresses are always happy and helpful. All my experiences at Salitre Mesôn Costero have always been the best. I know there is always space for improvement, but I just cant think of a single one, except me moving right next to them; but, thats just a thought.

Pricy but very good flavor! Food took a while to come out but was fresh and gave us time to relax. Definitely recommend for how delicious everything was. Staff are bilingual, menu changes often due to what is available at market

Salitre is excellent. Very easy to get to. Ample parking. Its right on the coast, Atlantic ocean view. The dining experience is amazing. The food is delicious. Excellent wine selection. Fully recommend.

Outstanding food! Don’t get demotivated by some slow service in the beginning. It is definitely worth the wait. Also, the view and location are gorgeous.

Freshest fish that I have had since I have been on the island! Would highly recommend if you want big portions of good food and great views. If you are heading west to Rincon or east to San Juan make time to stop at Salitre!

Gorgeous place for a gathering with friends or a romantic dinner. The restaurant sits right on the coastline, with beautiful views of the ocean and the Arecibo lighthouse. Try to get there for sunset - it will not disappoint. The menu is built around traditional Puerto Rican cuisine incorporating the fresh seafood available. I had the grilled wahoo filet - freshly caught. It was a bit overcooked for my taste, but flavorful. I highly recommend the garbanzo stew with chicken and chorizo which was amazing. The yuca mofongo was also very well done - stuffed with either Dorado or shrimp. And you must try their mojito to which they add sparkling wine - a refreshing delight! One caveat: do not go for a quick meal. Service is quite slow, but it allows you to sit back, relax, enjoy the views and the company you keep. Definitely check it out!

Wagyu beef NY steak was flawless, made to term and just became my new favorite. Service was great. Cetí empanadas were amazing even though I dont normally eat fish. Theyve implemented good COVID-19 measures and the ambiance is very good. Planning to celebrate my wedding here.

Food was dry and tasteless. Eating outside there were birds that even pooped on our table. Lobster was rubbery and lacked any semblance of taste. Waitress decided to explain the entire menu tu a single person and explained the pricing conventions incorrectly, ending with a rediculously high bill. Will not return.

The seafood is very good. Service was also very good. Seaside dining by the Atlantic Ocean. If you are in the northern area, one of the best restaurants around. My only complaint is that’s it’s pricey for what you get.

My wife and I were invited to this restaurant for an afternoon dinner. This is a beach front restaurant with espectacular views to the Atlantic Ocean. This is a family restaurant with an excellent variety of sea and land food. Great cocktails, we had local sangria. The food was exquisite. I had oven cooked red snaper. The service was excellent and our waitress Joanies, was courteous, accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. The red snaper was fresh and Joanies showed us the fish before preparing it. Highly recommended.

A bit over rated not the greatest taste for the price and I am not a fan of places that tell you you have to buy bottled water because they dont serve tap water

This is one of my family preferred place to be. A wide and fresh menu, within an outdoor setting that let you enjoy the wonderful ocean front view at it best. The sanitary measures, due to the pandemic, are properly executed by the team making you fell safety.

Dirty place, bad attitude employees, never answer the phone. Place looks old.

How else was i able to post without giving it a one star... Just so you can avoid this place.. They attended me and my husband at the door, cold and rushed. Got us a table and sat us down..... 20 minutes later an American family of 5 got seated and served a menu, and we didnt even get a glass of water under the hot sun. We understood it was busy, but at the point we just walk to our car and left. After hearing such great reviews about the place, this service wasnt really worth it. We live and tour on the island, so we are just going to enjoy our dinner at Copamarina.

Excellent service and best seafood.

First, the service was awesome! Lola was our waitress and she gave us that personalized warm treatment that every restaurant should have. Second, the menu is well balance. Third, the food was perfect, I ordered a Mahi Mahi Salitre and it was done to perfection and organized. Fourth, not as expensive as other restaurant that lack of the other three descriptions above stated. Fifth and last but not to be the least, the venue. The place is located front beach with a perfect view of the sunset!I recommend this place with my eyes closed!!

Five stars all the way!!! Visiting during covid times, you never know what youll get, but Salitre Meson Costero performed amazingly. Not only did they accompany our half lit party, they gave us all the recommendations we were looking for. We had paella, whole fish, a bunch of sides and appetizers. We were celebrating our new USA president and the bubbles were flowing and the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond. Thank you!!!

Beautiful modern restaurant with very fresh seafood. The patio is stunning. Enjoyed our meal, unfortunately I do not recommend the yuca mofongo, it has a very dry consistency.

One of the nicest restaurants around Arecibo, PR. Our waitress was terrific (5 stars). Some of the food was also top notch. The blackened tuna was excellent. The setting, just a few feet from the ocean, was really nice. Portions were good to huge. The only reasons I took away the 5th star, were drinks were nothing special, many menu items were unavailable, and my dinner, a meat paella, was mediocre at best. I could have fed an army with the leftovers, but couldnt muster any enthusiasm for repeating the meal next evening. A great place to sit and enjoy a drink by the ocean if only they put more effort into the drinks. They need to be bigger, be presented better, and not taste like they came from a cheap premix from a supermarket. Im inclined to give them a pass, as its been a rough couple of years there, between COVID and hurricanes. Diners around Arecibo are fortunate the restaurant still functions at all. Id go back!

This place is phenomenal. Food and view are fantastic. We were with a group of 12, all individual checks and they organized it perfectly. Drinks were strong and good and everybody thought the food was tiptop. This place is on fire!

Had a wonderful experience here. Every team member we came in contact with was helpful and incredibly polite. They were able to seat us outside and the view was absolutely spectacular. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the Mofongo of Yuca with Langosta. Puerto Rican food at its finest! They were also pet friendly!
