Paul is absolutely an expert of violin. His candid suggestion is valuable to all level of learner. He is very humorous and easy to work with. And he puts customers need in front of just selling instrument to you. I love the way he interacts with kids and very educational personality. Definitely will come back again for my next purchase.

Mr. Stevens is not only very knowledgable about the string instruments but also a very good musician. He listens to all kinds of sound coming out of the instruments and decides what work needs to be done according to the sound. Besides knowing well what he is doing, he is also very helpful with explaining about the instruments.

I asked for him to fix my sons violin. What he did was go way above my expectations. He fixed parts that I didnt know needed adjusting, explaining why as he did so.

I came here looking for a new cello end-pin thinking it would solve my issues with my hand cramping and spoke with Paul and he told me that there are much better/cheaper solutions and was more concerned with figuring out why my hand was cramping instead of trying to get a quick buck out of me by just agreeing to switch out the end pin.I have a bent end-pin with a strange extension mechanism that I assumed was a broken mechanism because I could never get it to lock in its extended form. Paul took a look and figured out how to make the mechanism work and told me a new end-pin wouldnt be necessary.I asked him to look at my bow and see if there could be a cause for concern there and he educated me briefly about the importance of a bows balance and how if the bows hair were not properly maintained, it could ruin the feel of an expensive bow/any bow, really. I got to compare my bows current feel against a cheaper bow that was properly balanced and instantly felt the difference (took the bow home to test, and of course the hand cramps seemed to go away with a properly balanced bow).He broke down the costs of what could be fixed and was not pushy to sell anything to me which I greatly appreciated.Looking forward to coming here next time any issue/concern with my instrument arises.The only issue I had is that I did not call before my first visit, so I came to a locked door. Paul isnt always in this location so please make an appointment to save yourself the same confusion I faced.

The owner of the shop is very rude. I called about getting directions with the hopes of having the chance to check out his inventory. When I called he kept interrupting me and repeatedly asked what I wanted/needed in a crude tone, following with a oh Im not in the shop right now, can you wait till I get there ? Ugh.. You just lost a customer. Which is sad !
