I’ve now gone to Auto Select twice for services. First time was to get new brake pads and the most recent time was to have some repairs done to my transmission. Both times I ended up going there after I was given outrageous repair estimates from my dealership. I am incredibly impressed with their services and professionalism. It is nice to be able to trust a business to take care of your vehicle and not overcharge you.

I absolutely recommend this place. I stopped by and was given an appointment as soon as the next day for a general check up on my car. These people are kind and honest. They also have a very lovable dog who plays while you wait. I had a few concerns about my car that were explained in a way I could understand and options for fixing the issues. They were funny and just as concerned about my safety as I was. Ill be back every time for my repairs. Its hard to find people who are honest with a lady about car repairs but they seemed to be on point. Thank you kindly for your time and patience with me.

Brought my Jeep in for Oil Change, tire rotation, and “back to school” special. Tried to schedule 9 am appointment… brought it in at 9. Told that time was full (understandable). Left vehicle with instructions to rotate the spare onto the vehicle as well. Told there would be a $10 extra charge. Picked up vehicle around 1 pm. Went through receipt w service guy. Was told 5 tire rotation was performed. Only when I got home did I realize that only four tires had been rotated. I looked at receipt and I had not been charged extra for spare but had requested it and was willing to pay for it. Disappointed when I went back to inquire $10 was charged for the 6th quart of oil but not the spare rotation.

Ive been using the Richmond location for oil changes for a few years now. So I called the East side because of a grinding sound. Was able to drop off my car that night and it was diagnosed and fixed the next day. My 2017 Chevy Sonic died on me 8/12/21 at an intersection and wouldnt re-start. Ive had other issues with this car earlier this year and I had taken it to a Chevy dealership cause I thought theyd be experienced and honest like they claimed to be. Boy was I wrong. I wont go into that; as thats a whole different review. On 8/12/21 I had AAA tow it to nearby AutoSelect on Express Ct in Appleton. I walked in somewhat flustered. They were busy but he said hed get it looked at ASAP. I told the service advisor (Darren, you are awesome) I could sit and wait but he handed me a pair of keys and said take the loaner. Its free to use as needed, just put gas in it. I was floored. Even the big fancy dealership never offered that to me.Long story short - they tried and tried on Thursday and half of Friday to get the car to fail again but it wouldnt. No error codes registered in the diagnostic system. They checked if there were any recalls on this car; there werent -- but this random engine failure on Chevy Sonics seem to be a known issue among owners. They said they could put in a new engine control computer system, but because thats also not a guaranteed fix, he didnt want to go that costly route. So this morning I told Darren to just do an oil change and well call it a day. When I came to pick it up and pay, I was told theres no charge for the diagnostic because he couldnt actually see anything fail -- so I was just charged the oil change, which was also cheaper than the usual place I went to. How refreshing! An honest mechanic that isnt just focused on nickel and diming its customers. A+ service, thank you, this made my day!I have found my new go to mechanic. No more dealerships. Thanks so much!

Auto Select is far and away the best auto service center in the Fox Valley. Mike and Darren from the Appleton East location are very professional, friendly, and transparent with any issues that are diagnosed on a vehicle, and they are diligent in ensuring that all is remedied effectively. They are an easy choice whenever I need work done on my car, and cannot recommend them strongly enough. Great work, everyone!

Ive used these guys before on my Hyundai, but this time it was for the electrical diagnosis on my 2017 Chevy due to AC issues, which was reasonably priced (I called around). I was prepared to pay a lot since AC issues are usually costly. They were up front about the problem just being a disconnected cable, checked with me for approval before doing anything else, and the repair was completed fast. My total bill was very very reasonable and I was glad to have it fixed!

I was really amazed at how quickly they were able to get me in. My car died and I called them to help me. I was towed to the Auto Select East and given a car to use while the they fixed mine. Ok so after been going there for a year, Auto select has shown me that they only want money! Didn’t fix my van correctly. My van left with problems to the steering still engine light still on radio still saying code and my break light is out. But I paid over $2,000. A little over that! This is the most unprofessional place. They called me with a deal then a week later when going to pay for part of work till other half is done, yeah no he said never was mentioned and it was never said and he also said that he never checked over my sliding door when he did say the week before that he did indeed open my sliding door! This company just charges for small things and doesn’t really spend time with the Vehicle and say they did a lot and that’s why the bill is so high. But when I review the itemized sheet, none of what my worries were on there except steering pump and wipers and new battery all over $2,000 smh bad business for my van to leave you business and still not fully service like first intended. Owner is rude to customer and speaks over them and likes to hang up. He lies about conversations and rudely disrespectful to customer and made rude comments! Please if you don’t want to get swindled, don’t go to Auto select! My sister had the same issues and so did two friends! Smh

I had tire that kept loosing pressure. I stopped at Auto Select and they made me an appointment the next day. I dropped the car off and they said it would be 45 minutes. I went on an errand and they said they would call when done. After 30 minutes they called that it was done. They found a nail in the tire and repaired it .Quick and efficientl.👍

Wasnt quite sure what was wrong with my car. I have an extended warranty and called a very popular repair center in our area, but they would not repair my vehicle under the warranty and wanted me to pay for all the work up front. So I called Auto Select and they were able to get the car in the next day. They also handled all the warranty submissions without me having to do a thing. Repair was completed quickly and their staff was friendly and professional. I have a 2015 Subaru Impreza limited. I went in for a simple brake job. My car has 60k miles and has never had any issues. I ended up sitting at the shop for 4 hours. After their inspection, they told me that my check engine light and traction control lights were on and that the scan showed 5 codes. I told them that the check engine light has never been on in that car, but they insisted that it came on as soon as they started the car to pull it in. They also told me that it showed a history of running the code 7k miles ago. Like I said, the engine light has never been on and I didn’t have anyone else clear codes. I told them to clear them and I’d see if they come up again. 1.5 hours later, they told me the brakes are done, but once they started it up the lights came on the dash again. I said I’ll have to figure it out, my dad is a mechanic. I get in my car, and it was idling horribly. I started to pull out of the parking lot and it didn’t have the acceleration it usually does. Just felt like it had low power. So I turn right around. Again, they insisted that it ran the same code 7k miles ago, and that they would bring up the history to prove it to me. So they took it back and 30 min later, they said that the history was cleared when they cleared the codes so they cant show me. Wouldn’t they have known that and why did it take 30 min to tell me? I asked if they screwed something up with the computer while inspecting it. And was told no, brakes have nothing to do with the computer or causing codes. So they insisted on spending another two hours diagnosing it. They said it was the map sensor sticking. Then they asked if I had a car wash recently, that it getting wet might’ve messed up the computer. The back to the map sensor. I called and updated my dad throughout the situation. We were both highly skeptical and suspicious. They finally suggested I take it to a Subaru dealer, that they checked my VIN and I have a warranty that’ll cover the map sensor. So I limped the car home and called the local Subaru dealership to make an appt. I told them what happened. Even they said it sounded like they messed something up or tampered with it, and are concerned about working on it. Coincidence, mistake, tampering... I’m not sure. Subaru’s are tough cars to work on, I get it. If something happened, own up to me and help me fix it. I have an appt with Subaru on Monday, we’ll see how it goes.

Not only is the work thorough, but they were very informative as to what they found while doing the commissioned work. I so appreciate having that information and not being pressured into making an immediate decision but being given the CHOICE to decide my next course of action! I will DEFINITELY RETURN before winter and follow their suggestion! Very pleased IN EVERY ASPECT with this repair experience ! The establishment as well as the waiting area was clean, organized and a very visual pleasing environment !

I went in to get an oil change and the guys there discovered I had a pretty bad oil leak. They told me if they did the service, that when I got my leak looked at that they would probably have to empty all the oil out so they suggested that I get it looked at first. They also told me of a place that would look at it for free. I was very happy with my service, cause they could have done the oil change and not said anything then I’d be screwed and out the money I paid for the oil change

Professionals! Auto-Select gets my vehicles in quick and fixes them right the first time. They also take a good look at the vehicle and mention other issues of immediate or potential concern, which I appreciate so that I can plan for or are at least then I am aware could be a problem. They are also reasonably priced and always make the effort to communicate as much detail regarding repairs or maintenance as you would like to discuss.

Ive been taking my vehicles here for the last couple years and have always had a good experience. With newer vehicles I primarily just have regular service work done like oil changes and new wiper blades. The prices are fair and they have a small but nice waiting room with a TV and complimentary beverages available. The gentlemen that Ive scheduled with are always friendly. I will continue coming here and and I would recommend it to anyone else looking for service work in this area.

I needed my car fixed and my warranty covered some of it. Mike called to tell me every thing was fixed and good to go. Before I brought my car there, I had no lights on, no other issues than what I told him about. I have the paperwork that shows what was fixed on the car. I was charged for stuff that was never fixed. On top of that, i still have no heat, that was never fixed but I was charged, abs light is now on and need wheel bearings replaced which never had issues before I dropped the car off. I have a very reliable mechanic that inspected this car inside and out, also showed him the bill which claims every thing that was supposedly fixed. My mechanic advised me that alot of things were never fixed. He also advised me that hes had several people go to him that had issues similar to mine. I have pictures and proof of every thing that Mike claimed he fixed that was never fixed.

Was able to get in quickly after my car started screeching really bad over a period of 2 days. It was Friday before Labor Day weekend and they got me in by Tuesday at 8am and had me diagnosed within 30 minutes or even less. They replaced my rotors, brakes, 2 stabilizer links and knocked off and replaced my 2 front tire locking lugnuts within 3 hours the same morning. Quick, efficient, and friendly service!

These guys are the best. Prices are super affordable and a fraction to other shops in the area. Theyre honest and dont try scam you out of $. They are quick and deliver quality service. I was advised exactly what was wrong with my car and what could happen if I didnt get it fixed. Representative was professional and all car issues were done at a reasonable time/price along with a warranty for all parts installed.

Went down the street first with my old car. They told me $4k to fix what I needed. When I said no they offered me a different car for $4k and my car 😳. Seemed like a scam. Went to auto select and it was less than a 1/4 of the price. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars was that they wanted to do an oil change and air filter for $60 more....seems like a lot. But otherwise very happy with quick service!

Saved me over $2,000 compared to another dealer in town. The other dealer quoted me for things I didnt need fixed on my car and didnt even suggest the one thing I need fixed which was my breaks. Even when I went in the quote from another dealer and asked them what thier price was for the fixes it was a $1,500 save. Honest people who do thier work with intergity and dont try to pull a fast one on you. Highly recommend going here for any auto fixes

They gave me a good estimate before starting work. They were able to finish my cars issues quickly. I work third shift and they were able to have a flexible schedule to give me an accurate estimate before I left the car there. Overall I had no issues, only positives!

Being new to the area, I was unsure of who to service my car. I am VERY happy with Auto Select Appleton East and will return again. I called and went in for a scheduled oil change and was notified of other concerns my vehicle was showing. I was not pressured into fixing the other issues; they were informative and willing to help. Great service for a good price. Was unexpectedly provided with a loaner car to get back to work. They called me before doing any work I hadnt requested and called again when everything was done.

I had my vehicle in for a tire balance and rotate. When I got home I checked the tire pressure. Tires were 5 lbs high in the front and 5 lbs low in the back. I had to readjust them myself. Tire pressure should have been adjusted before my vehicle left the shop

Since this place allows you to bring in your own parts for them to install, I asked him if he could give me the part number for a specific part that needed replacement after they did an inspection. Im not very knowledgeable about cars, so I thought this would be okay to ask him, since he already had an estimate for the repair and probably had the part number in the paperwork somewhere.However, he was very secretive about giving me the part number and wouldnt. He gave an excuse of how they buy from a wholesaler, so the part number they give me wouldnt cross reference with anything. Then when I told him that I could buy parts from a certain wholesaler (so the part number would, in fact, help me if he gave me it), he outright LIED and said that they dont buy parts from that place. I know this is a lie because Ive seen that suppliers delivery van outside of their auto shop before....like just a week earlier.If he didnt want to give me the part number, he couldve just told the truth and said its confidential or its against policy or some BS like that. And I guess figuring out the part number isnt that hard to do, but even still, it wouldve been nice if they couldve just told me it.Service adviser is very rude and dismissive. Also, theyre not very friendly. Whenever I walk in, they just give me a blank deer-in-the-headlights look and dont even greet me first.-----------Response to owner:Yes, I do have the correct location and company, Auto Select Appleton East. And the past couple times Ive gone there, it was only Darren at the front desk and no, he did not greet me. He only gave me a look of what the hell is this person doing here again, before I had to tell him why I was there. Also, do you have a response to the blatant lying and withholding of part numbers? I used to trust this place but after this incident and dishonesty, I will never come here again.

Ive been bringing my last 3 vehicles to Auto Select. Theyve always done a great job and take the time to sit down with me and discuss everything before they commit to the work to make sure Im comfortable with their plan. Prices are fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Went in to get exhaust work done and they simply gave me a price without explaining all of the details ended up replacing a lot more than what I needed costing me $150 extra. Was then yelled at by the sales manager because I didn’t understand what I was previously agreeing to because it was never written down or explained on what parts I was getting replaced. One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had thus far.

I don’t know the correct technical terminology when I’m describing my car or engine problems. And I’m sure there are a lot of people who feel the same way. When I came in to drop off my car because I was feeling a inconsistent but very noticeable vibration that didn’t seem like just brake pads to me. Darren, one of the mechanics, asked to take a short ride with me to see what exactly I was experiencing and describing. I thought, wow, what a great idea!!! I mean, what a practical way to know what’s going on! I absolutely love that idea! I left my car and they loaned me a Chevy Malibu four-door until my car was ready! Darren figured out that my front right wheel bearing what spinning and needed to be replaced. I knew I was due soon for new tires and brake pads. They gave me a great price for parts and labor. Darren even gave me a quote on something else I’ve been meaning to replace; which I had been meaning to do for a very long time. And they checked my torque after 100 miles to make sure it was still in place after service, no charge or appointment needed. Aaaand all parts &&& labor are guaranteed for 36 months or 36000 miles! Great service! Great care! And I’m so appreciative that they took the extra time to do an excellent job!
