Brendon and Anthony did a fantastic bathroom update for us. New custom shower (made it bigger), faucets, countertops and toilets throught the house, and hung new mirrors we purchased. Everything was well coordinated with plumber, electrician and city inspector so there was no downtime. They finished in half the time. They were neat and respectful of our home.

The contractors were friendly, polite and professional. The job was completed on time, within the original agreed price (despite finding a few horrors when they removed the old tub). We used them for a main bathroom remodel. They were super professional, on time and thorough. They were so well organized with all the materials and subcontractors and inspections that the job was completed in 10 days. There was a wait in getting on their schedule and for all of the project materials to come in, but that is part of their brilliant strategy so that the construction disruption is minimized. They did a great job of cleaning up the work site each day. Their craftsmanship is superb. It was a very good experience and our new bathroom is beautiful.

We had Great Lakes do a complete master bathroom remodel this past March and we could not be more thrilled with how it turned out.Our original idea was to just replace the shower with the Onyx material we saw at the Minnesota State Fair. But thanks to some great suggestions from our salesman, we ended up gutting the whole room and starting from scratch. We ended up using the Onyx material to surround our shower, tub, and also used it on the vanity and make up table tops. We are in love with Onyx- its beautiful, durable and easy to clean.We also were impressed with the installer who was meticulous with every detail. He even suggested to wrap our window in Onyx and that now is the center piece of the room.We love how all the colors for the Adura floor tile (also provided by Great Lakes), Onyx and artwork decor all pulled together and complemented each other. This is a room we use everyday and we are so happy with the end result, we can not say enough good things about Great Lakes. There were no cost overruns, they started the work on time and finished when they promised. They also were very accommodating with other contractors we had working along side of them. Their team of professionals certainly helped us exceed our goals!We definitely recommend Great Lakes, and look forward to planning our next remodel job with them.

This was an all around great experience. Gary came out and presented what GLHR could do for our two showers in a professional manner. We decided to go with Great Lakes Home Renovations; we loved what we saw. The original time frame was approximately 12 weeks out, but we got a call and they were able to start in only about a month! Andrew and Spencer were a great team. The work is beautiful. Ive included before and after photos so you can see what great work they do!

Henry and his worker were very good at their job. Our bathroom looks wonderful and Henry went above and beyond to make sure everything was as we expected. We are still waiting for the cabinet replacement but that was manufacturing error. We would recommend him and the company to anyone and will if the opportunity arises

Five stars for Henry who did the installation. If I could give him ten stars I would. He was prompt and worked the whole time he was here. He was courteous and friendly. If there was a problem or issue, he informed me and made it right. His work is meticulous and he cleaned up the work site each day. I couldn’t be more pleased.I was way less happy with Henry’s helper Travis. He showed up 2-3 hours after Henry arrived, and didn’t do a lot of work when he was here. He was polite and friendly, but I don’t feel like I can award stars for his work. Plus Henry had to do the work for two people, which isn’t right.I was also not pleased with my interaction with Brandon. He was very rude to me on the phone. I have not been talked to like that since I was twelve years old.Everyone else at Great Lakes that I met ot talked to (Ashley, Dave, Peg) was great.

My wife and I finally decided to take the plunge and replace all of our windows in our home. Our house was built in the late 1950s, so replacement was long overdue. We were referred to Great Lakes by some friends of ours, who have used this company in the past for window replacement.Thomas came out listened to our needs, then gave us a thorough education on the products that they offer and specialize in. Simply put, the Sunrise Restorations window line matches or exceeds the specs of the other high-end window manufacturers while costing less. Great Lakes Home Renovations is the only company certified to perform installation of this product. After much discussion and evaluation of alternative products, we decided to use this company for our window replacement needs.A few days later, Ozzie came out and performed precise measurements of our window openings, and took down all of the specs for the products that we were slated to receive. As a result, this job happened without a hitch (see below).It took 6-7 weeks for our windows to be custom-built. Once this was complete, I was contacted by the installer, Joe. He walked me through the process of how/when the install was going to happen. A few days later, Joe and his crew of Noah and Clint, showed up to begin the old window tear-out, and new window install. They performed both of these functions on 22 of our 23 windows in one day!! They returned the following day to tear out/install the remaining window, along with finishing work on all windows. I originally did not expect this job to be finished in 2 days, so this was a pleasant surprise. Add to that, this crew is knowledgeable, approachable, friendly, and clean up well after themselves.If you are in the market for replacement windows, I would highly recommend contacting this company! I absolutely LOVE my new shower and the new tub in my bathrooms! The whole process from selecting what I wanted to the measurements to the install went smoothly. Rick, my design consultant answered all my questions and advised me on what would work best in my bathrooms. Andrew did a phenomenal job with the install, at the end of each day, he made sure everything was cleaned up out of the way. I would highly recommend!!

What a great experiene we had replacing our bath tub with a shower! We have had remodeling work before, and were not always thrilled with the results. But Great Lakes/Rebath group was excellent from start to finish. The sales team gave us numbers that matched the job right to the end. The team they sent to do the work were prompt, ready to work, prepared with what they needed, and more than capable to do the work! We have no regrets with our decision to use Great Lakes Home Renovations when we are ready to do work on our home again!

Great Lakes just completed a terrific bathroom remodel for us in Plymouth. We heartily recommend them to all who are looking for a professional service that produces high quality work with integrity. We look forward to working with them again in the future.3 MONTHS LATER:Sadly, I have to revise my opinion of Great Lakes following a flood we had in our home, over the July 4th weekend. We were away from home and when we returned we were devastated to find chaos with water covering our bedroom, family room, and of course bathroom. Experts concluded that the remodelers had driven a nail through a pipe causing the disaster. I had phone calls with the Great Lakes Project Manager, who was completely unsympathetic and unaccommodating. The upshot is that my insurance company is working on Great Lakes insurers to recover costs. The damage caused by the Great Lakes fitter was extensive, the distress immeasurable. As if this wasnt enough, three weeks ago I called upon Great Lakes on a warranty issue (the shower head isnt releasing water as it was on day 1). I havent had a reply from their plumbers. Mark my words, the work seemed fine at the time by there is no after sales service.

We had windows replaced in our dining area. Great Lakes worked with us on the best solution to not only put in quality windows in our budget, but to match the wood decor in the room. The installers came and did a great job of not only putting in the windows but also cleaning up everything and respecting our home. Joe and Zack were professional and super careful and showed us how the windows operate. Everything from Tom in Sales, to Ozzie measuring, to Joe and Zack installing was easy and top notch. If we have more windows to do, we will certainly look to Great Lakes again.

Had 11 windows replaced. They did it in record time. Joe and Kevin did a great job. They were respectful of our home and our took as much pride in their craftsmanship as if it was their home.

I wanted to use great lakes for my 20 window and 2 patio for project. Ive never been through such a large project and was hoping for some advise. I used them in my old house and it went great. This time was way different.Scott the scheduling manager started out well and got me connected with Thomas to come out to my house.Thomas came out and didnt seem like he wanted to be there. He was more interested in hearing what someone else told me then giving me his advise and thoughts. He left saying hed get back to me. I called to get scheduled and Thomas didnt have a quote for me, said that I needed to do more on my end. I needed a rough quote to know how much I needed.3 weeks time goes by and no word. Scott calls and asks about my end. I told him I was going with a different company and that it didnt matter with who. I tried to explain to him my disappointment and he hung up on me.They lost out on a 40-60k job due to being unprofessional, unhelpful and ending up being rude.I was disappointed.

I did have a great rating for this company but just recently I needed some warranty work done and they were very unprofessional never bothered to contact me back and tell me they have no idea when they can fix it basically saying they have no work in my area so it wont get fixed tell they have someone near me. These people were GREAT at first but when they have to fix there screw ups they DONT CARE. I would not recommend this company there is better out there that will back there work and fix there mess ups right away.

Had tub, surround, vanity top, flooring, and toilet replaced in main bath. We were pleased with range of choices in product to customize the look of our remodel. The installation crew was on time and courteous (all four family members were home due to COVID). The job was done quickly and we we were consulted regularly about progress and appearance of the job.

The good: installers, (Travis) was great, Jessie who did our initial meeting and quote was very helpful with making choices and came super prepared with every option we could want. Gave us a separate quote for another project we are considering down the line. Overall, we have a shower that will get a lot of use, it looks beautiful and I am glad it is complete. I wish the timeline had been clear from the start, (took 12 weeks from measure to completion, quoted 5-7) I wish things had ended differently on the customer service side of things, but ultimately got what paid for and am pleased with that outcome.

The sales team is friendly and professional, listening to our needs considering design and budget. They helped us decide on projects in a low pressure manner ensuring we were aware of all costs and timelines. There were no surprises. The measuring and installers were on time, efficient, friendly and clean. They let us know what to do to prepare the space, and after as well as cleaning up as if they had never been in the space and sharing information about anything we needed to do post install depending on the project. We hired Great Lakes to install a bay window in front of our house. The end product is beautiful and well insulated, but with a few touch ups needed. The installation was way easier than we expected. Everything was torn out and the new window installed in less than a day. It hasnt gotten that cold yet, but already the new window keeps the room much warmer even with the overhang.

We did a tub to shower conversion. Henry was the installer and did a fantastic job. Very detail oriented and super courteous to work with. He kept us informed throughout and always had our best interests foremost. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this type of work.

Very poor to work with. Did not respond to our concerns in a timely fashion. Installers left early. Job was quoted as 3 days and we knew it would be more than 3 days. I would not hire this company again. 6 months later received a notice from County Building permits and final inspection was not done. Lack of paying attention to details. We had to complain about the work that was not done to our satisfaction before we got a response. Still details that should have been done, we just gave up.

Although I have not heard of this company before, I got lucky to meet them at the Minnesota State Fair. I am just overwhelmed by their service, quality and price. The guys that came out to measure and install were talented and professional. When they were finished, it was if they never were there. I had gotten a quote from Window World a year or so ago. I just about fell off my chair when I received their quote. Great Lakes did the job for less than half the cost of Window Worlds quote. I highly recommend this company. I also understand they do bathrooms as well. Great Job

Jesse and James worked diligently on the week long project; turned an old, small, 1950’s pink tiled bathroom into a stunning and modern bathroom. They had great ideas as how to maximize the space, and have made it into a whole new room! The guys were always prompt, really great about explaining things through the process, and cleaned up at the end of the day. Very pleasant to have around. Thank you Rebath for my new shower. The contractors did a marvelous job and I cannot wait to try it out. The two young gentlemen were very efficient and worked well together and with us to provide beautiful place to sit and relax or quick shower with out knocking things over and having to bend to pick them up. We had Great Lakes Home Renovations remodel both of your bathrooms recently. Super impressed with the quality of work that was completed. Communication at the job site was a bit of an issue in a few instances. Installed a different toilet product without asking first or explaining why that it was necessary. Lost a small nut for a vent light assembly and didn’t tell me until I asked about it after they left, which required me to make a trip to the hardware store to finish the install myself. BUT…..overall the quality of the work was TOP NOTCH! We are very pleased with the final product! I would recommend Great Lakes to anyone looking to remodel!

My husband and I recently bought a 70s home that turned out to be a DIY nightmare. One of the many issues was the basement French doors: bugs constantly getting in, incorrectly sealed, rotting frame, etc.I was very impressed with how quickly and professionally the installation went. It was just one guy and he finished in a couple hours. By the time I was able to get away and take some pictures the old door was out and the new one was going in. He was all finished and cleaned up right before my family came into town.I would rate them 5 stars, but I was not impressed with the sales pitch. I thought it was a lot of unnecessary demonstrations to promote the quality of the product. I found the contractor to be a lot more honest and knowledgable than the sales rep (not surprising).

We recently redid our tub and shower in one of our bathrooms. Mike the installer did an excellent job, previously we had a very heavy tub and tile that had to be dismantled which was difficult. He handled it very well and professionally. We also greatly appreciated the quick turnaround time and we only have one full bathroom with a shower. Gary our sales contact was very nice to deal with as well. The end result is great and a definitely improvement over what we had. The plumbing was done correctly as well which we greatly appreciate. We orignally met with Rick who came to our house to look at and bid our bathroom work. We were not sure we were ready to move forward with the project but after meeting with him and gettin a bid for the work it was something we definately wanted to move forward with based on everything he had to tell us about the work and the company.At the time the work started we met Tony, our installer. He did a great job working through the issues we knew we would have making space for a larger tub than the one we took out, but as with any project there were things that came up we were not expecting. Tony took the time to think about all options and what was the right way to do it, not just the easiest or fastest. Even with the extra work the project finished without any extra charges and on time.We love our new bathroom and would recommend this company to anybody looking to get thier bathroom redone or updated.

Weve now replaced all of our windows with Great Lakes - and we would highly recommend their work! We replaced 3-5 windows at a time, over the course of about 5 years. I appreciated that they never tried to pressure us to buy more than what we were asking for, and understood our budget.

We hired GLHR/Rebath to replace our bathtub/shower area and bathroom floor tile. We are very pleased with the results. Some damp areas and mold were found behind the tiled walls. The damp insulation was removed and the area was treated and dried properly before continuing. Our old tile was removed and replaced with some beautiful wood printed vinyl planks, and the new shower/bathtub and fixtures look excellent!

The installers were very polite, clean, and explained all the features of our front door installation. Its a great value with offers available for referrals from friends and family. Everyone we dealt with was great! It took a month and a 1/2 to get the installation, but I understand that springtime is real busy and there was no rush on our end.

The only reason why I am even giving this company 2 stars is because of the crew. The salesperson Ashley who initially came to us to discuss our bathroom remodeling project was kind and patient with us. We signed the contract, made the necessary payments and then waited for the project to begin. Things were fine until we ran into issues with an exterior wallduring demo.The problem wasn’t necessarily the wall, but the way Brandon York (our project manager) managed the problem... he abandoned it... Brandon York abandoned the project. Said it was not his job and that we would have to have it repaired before he would allow the crew back on site to continue the bathroom remodel. He would not help us connect to other contractors and worse, offered ZERO empathy or compassion to a family of five with one bathroom. Luckily, someone on their design team offered to help us get through this problem with another contractor that we paid separately. The project was completed in 3 weeks...over the 2 week timeline Brandon projected. The crew and subs were all outstanding! Dan Simmer, their plumber was outstanding and a god send—even the City of Saint Paul inspectors were punctual, kind and sympathetic to our having to run around and get this problem solved quickly! However, Brandon was a horrible problem solver and an even worse communicator. He could have cared less about helping us through it. I will never ever recommend this company to anyone as long an Brandon York is involved.

I found out why they only do (2 hour) in-home quotes and wont give you any numbers without it, the prices are absurd and they try to use pressure sales once theyre in your house. Gross. I wanted a quote to convert a tub to a walk-in shower using their rebath product (its vinyl or plastic interlocking pieces). They quoted $15,000 to do this lol. I dont know who actually pays these prices, maybe seniors? I really dont know.

Mike was the worker that completed our bathroom remodel. He was so nice, our son is 6 and has autism and he was super interested in what work Mike was completing. Mike was very nice to him. He also worked clean which I loved!!!! Our bathroom is amazing and will definitely be using them in the future for our basement bathroom!

Great Lakes Renovation installed an Onyx shower, replaced drywall and installed new flooring in our bathroom. Dave and Ben did a great job - they were very professional and responsive to our needs. Were very happy with the finished look!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. They didnt know what services they offer, couldnt answer questions, and just generally did not want to provide decent human interaction. I would avoid this place if I were you.

I regrettably did not do my due diligence before booking an appointment with this company. There is a common theme with all low star reviews: pushy sales reps who attempt cheesy sales tactics (calling manager in front of you, deal only good for today, bashing competition, and offering discounts for google reviews). Sales reps started off offering 31k for our entire bathroom remodel. After two more offers, final offer (with managers approval) was 20k if we paid today. I cannot speak to their product, services or warranties...but from what else I am reading in the reviews (minus the fake 4 and 5 star reviews) they do not seem to stand behind their work. Branding yourself as a family owned company shines through as a failed attempt at being trustworthy. I would recommend being honest with your pricing upfront. That way you would be able to spend less time monitoring your google reviews and devote more efforts to servicing your customers.

A great company to do business with. From Ashley, who listened to our wants and needs and gave a great presentation as to how our bathroom would look, to Bob, who came out to do the measuring and offered up some great suggestions, to Mike, who lead the construction process. Mike and his team were prompt and hard working, always kept us in the loop as to what was going on. Mike was always open to job discussion and was a perfectionist with an eye for detail! Thank you!

Beautiful job! I couldn’t have been more satisfied with Hassan and Mike. They were personable, knowledgeable, on time and worked hard. They did work in both my bathrooms and got everything done on time. Every day they cleaned up the mess and left things in great condition.

I just had all of the windows redone in my 100+ year old home and Im very happy with how it all turned out! Gary was a great and very knowledgeable salesman, and Joe did an awesome job installing and being the main face of the company. They were very careful to not do damage to my plaster walls, and Joe even came on a Sunday to finish up what turned out to be a 2 day job. I will definitely be calling Great Lakes for any future projects!

I had 4 windows installed 3 years ago and am very, very pleased with the results. Id had quotes from other companies; Great Lakes acted like they really cared about me as a person more than the bottom line of selling expensive windows. I was not home when the windows were installed; however, my father reported that the installer was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing. The grate on the middle window had been accidentally custom made going horizontal instead of vertical; the company immediately made the correct window and installed it as soon as it was finished. Then the bottom window cracked as soon as frost hit (Ive worked with glass as a picture framer and am familiar with the nature of glass - it was cracked but did not impact the effectiveness of the window); Great Lakes immediately made a replacement. I have had no problems since. Perhaps the best part is that they dont call me every year trying to sell new stuff. I did contact them a year ago inquiring about a bath remodel, but my project is not something they were able to do (I have an old, unique house). They did not use the situation to try to sell me something else. When I have enough saved up to replace more windows, they are the first company I will call.

Our two new sliding patio doors are gorgeous! We used Great Lakes Home Renovations for the remodel of two bathroom last fall. I would hire them again for any future projects. Joe is a great window installer! He called totell me when he would be here. Joe showed up on time and did a great job. He cleaned up after by vacuuming and put down drop cloths. Joe explained what order he was doing my windows in. I would highly recommend Joe and Great Lakes Home Renovation.I would also like to say how great Ozzie is at measuring for the windows. He knew exactly what to look and and measure for in a very timely manner.Gary was very professional and got us what we needed. He even came to check on the window installation to make sure we were happy.Our windows turned out great and we are very happy.

Extremely disappointed in the scheduling process. I was and am willing to buy several windows and sliding doors for my home but was told they cannot go to our property without my wife there. My wife and my son are busy a lot on the weekends because she doesn’t get to spend much time with him during the week and the week hours are very difficult to meet with someone. They refused to set up an appointment with me and for this reason alone they have lost a fairly substantial sized sale.

We are very satisfied with the quality and friendly service from Great Lakes. They simply do what they say and when the promised...these qualities are not so common anymore but we really appreciate them from Great Lakes!

It was time to replace the 40 year old windows in our home. We had several quotes come in. Great Lakes came in, showed us their windows, explained them very well, their process, warranty and everything else about the windows. We were given a very good price on the windows in comparison to pretty much every other company we looked at. The only thing I didnt care for was that we needed to sign up on the spot or we wouldnt get the price quoted so be prepared for that. Beyond windows costing a lot of money it was an easy decision as the cost was good and the quality of the windows is very good.Installation of the windows went extremely well! Our installers were great! They got everything done in two days. They used drop cloths throughout the house, cleaned up each area they worked in as they went along, explained what they were doing and why when I inquired, gave me updates on timeframe as each day went along, explained exactly how the windows worked, how much prep they did on each window and why and in general were pretty good company to have around for two days. With the exception of a little bit of sawdust on our driveway and having brand new windows youd hardly know they were ever here. I firmly believe they take pride in their work and in doing the job right.Its only been a few days but so far the windows seem really great! Way less outside sound than before, rooms have stayed a much more consistent temperature, better airflow when the windows are open and even though the openings are the same size we have much more window to look out of than before so each room feels a bigger.

Great Lakes recently replaced several windows and a patio door in our home. Their entire team (sales, service & installation) were highly professional and easy to work with. What sold us was the overall quality and look of the windows (Sunrise Restorations), as well as the lifetime warranty on both the window and the installation. The installers (Joe and Noah) did a fantastic job! They were very meticulous and fun to work with. I would definitely recommend Great Lakes!

I had 2 large picture windows and one bedroom window installed today. The Sunrise product is beautifully crafted. I can’t believe what a difference the new windows make. I’ve gone from the old metal frames to beautiful wood. The outside of the windows has such a classy look. My installer, Joe, was friendly and kept me in the loop as to what he was doing. He’s very skillful and knowledgeable. He cleaned up inside as well as outside. Can’t tell anything was amiss. I will definitely recommend Great Lakes and especially Joe who did a fabulous job! Very satisfied with my bathroom renovation project. Chuck from sales was easy to work with, ensured that all needs of my project were met and we settled on what I considered a very reasonable price for the scope of work. The installer, Hassan, did an excellent job completing the project before I left for a week long vacation. Incredibly pleased with the long hours he was willing to put in to finish the project before this deadline, he was very friendly and provided daily updates. He truly went above and beyond what I expected and the install looks great. Ran into a minor plumbing issue (partly operator error) and the Project Manager Brandon was quick to respond to my request for service and sent the plumber out in a timely fashion. Overall, great company, great service, and great people. Id highly recommend them to anyone and theyll be first in line for any future projects I have!

I had my master bath shower replaced and am glad I went with this company. The sales guy informed me of how the process would work from start to finish. The guys who did the remodel (Hassan and Mike) were fabulous. They were very easy going and worked within my schedule. Plus they made sure everything was cleaned after they were done working. The only disappointment I had was from my own doing. I was steadfast in the color scheme but after the project was completed I probably should have listened to my salesman (Gary). But overall, I am very pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to do a remodel. I will go with these guys again.

We met Great Lakes Home Renovations staff at the Woodbury Home Show in March 2017 and immediately liked their products for our two bathroom remodels. Jessi (sales rep) spent as much time at our home as we needed to pick out colors and options. We visited the showroom in Apple Valley to do a final selection of flooring and shower backgrounds. It was fun! Laura and Julie were a great help in showing us a variety of options to choose from. Being new to home remodeling, we werent sure what to expect, the timeline, what was needed from us, or how scheduling worked. It turned out to be a great experience. Our installers, Josh and Travis, really pulled the entire project together for us and did a fantastic job. They worked hard every day and had the project completed in the time frame they originally said it would take. They took care to make sure we always had facilities to use and consistently communicated about their progress and what to expect.Plus, they were nice people to have around! We truly enjoyed the installation experience and absolutely love the new look of the bathrooms. We are so happy we did this, and Great Lakes came through with flying colors.

Great Lakes was a wonderful company to work with and is honest and fair. They have done all the windows in our house and also added a patio door that looks amazing. My windows and patio door are beautiful and easy to clean. We love their work and the installers are very knowledgeable about what they are doing and have been doing this for a long time. They are clean and pick up after themselves after the job that is important to me when there are kids.
