If Icould give them a zero I would. Do not go here take your time and money somewhere else. There quality of glass is poor they have scratch resistant for glasses false my son had scratches on them the first day. They then turn around a have you pay more money on a recheck up appointment and you were told there is no charge for that and then magically months later there is. Dont go here stay far away.

Excellent service. I went in with a current prescription and picked out glasses and sunglasses. Fabian was especially helpful and patient in helping me choose the right ones. Glasses came in quickly and Im very happy with everything. They looked up my insurance information and gave me a detailed listing of all charges. Happy to have found a new eye care option in my area!

Sadly, recently went for a full eye exam and purchased a new set of glasses to replace a pair I purchased from them. Spent over $1,000.00. Was told it would be a few weeks wait for my new pair. ABSOLUTLY NO OFFER TO CLEAN, ADJUST OR FIT MY OLD PAIR to make my wait for the new any better. The obvious desire to just sell and not service was a huge turn off and will result in my never returning.

When Robert Blomquist owned this practice it was spectacular. I moved to Apple Valley in 1981 and he provided the best care. I have gone there for over 40 yrs but since he retired and sold the practice the constant turn over is ridiculous and the sevice is terrible. You expect that of a big box.

Apple Valley Eye Care is such an easy place to get great glasses. I had an appointment with Kim to replace my prescription sunglasses. She helped me find the perfect pair. I’m picky but she helped me narrow it down quickly and gave me honest feedback. I really appreciate that.

The doctor was worth the wait. She took extra time to diagnose and treat me for several symptoms which were unrelated to the follow-up reason for my appointment. The doctor and her assistants were pleasant and professional.

I went to the ER & was told I scratched my cornea, apply this eye ointment & follow up with your primary eye clinic in 3 days. I called AVEC to schedule my follow-up & casually mentioned that I hadnt started my ointment yet because I needed a ride to the pharmacy because my eye was still bothering me. The scheduler verified with an assistant that I needed to be seen same day. I had gouged my cornea, not scratched and the ointment was not the right treatment for how I had done it. They gave me a bandage contact, dilated my pupil, and prescribed a drop. My pain was immediately better. They had me schedule a follow-up for 2 days out. The OD called me personally the next day to check on me. I am positive had the scheduler not heard my off hand comment as an issue I would still be in pain and may have permanent damage. Because of this clinics staff I will likely have just a story, not even a scar.

Dr. Annika Anderson takes the time to discuss your eye care needs and was great with follow through. Fabian provided excellent service in picking out my new glasses. Glasses came in very quickly! The techs were also very good with contact lens assistance.

Good expeirence but they wont tell you about your insurance unless you ask, they didnt give me a detailed list of what was covered and what wasnt, i ended up paying out of pocket when if i went in my network it wouldve been free, they waited till the exam was over to say i was charged for contact fitting. ive been wearing contacts for 15 years using this place for 15 years they charge me to tell me i can wear contacts? 15 years, never going back again. 1-800 contacts save you 55$Edit after response, yea you should inform your customers of EVERYTHING they are being charged for out of pocket. I asked about multiple things if my blue cross blue shield covered it, and it should have made you understand I was trying to go through health care and or eyemed. If you would have told me it would have cost $55 out of network i wouldve had it done some where else. Ive been going to you guys for 15 years and I still did the exam and everything with you guys while asking what was covered through out the exam. I understand Eyemed wasnt covering for the basic eye exam But blue cross blue shield was. You guys need to be clear about the prices up front. State exactly what is covered and what isnt.

After having an unfortunate encounter with some articles hanging in my garage I needed to have my glasses re-aligned. Kim took up the challenge and fixed my glasses to better than new. Kim is amazing at re-aligning glasses - Im no-longer readjusting the glasses on my face.

Ive been seeing Dr. Wellik for years, for regular eye exams and for monitoring and treatment of glaucoma suspect issues. He does a great job for me, as does his assistant Mike and the rest of the AV Eye Care staff. Highly recommend Apple Valley Eye Care!

Receptionist was rude! She asked for my insurance info and I told her. She talked to the insurance person and said I need to vsp. I asked what that was and she became really snippy because I didnt know. Glad I didnt give them the business. Burnsville Eyecare were way more helpful and friendly. Its not too far from this place.

Dr Wedeking is fantastic. She is a physician that listens to you and takes care of your eye needs. Exceptional care all around. This was my first appointment with her and she is my eye doctor from this point forward.

I’ve been having my routine annual eye exams here with Dr. “Annika” Anderson since moving to MN four years ago. She is nothing short of professional, patient, and pleasant. She takes time necessary to answer questions and explain procedures, and I’ve had a lot of questions about those procedures since my “routine” exams now include age related glaucoma and cataract issues. She also has a sense of humor, which goes a long way in this day and age of new “normals”. As a matter of fact, everyone I’ve had contact with in this clinic, from receptionists to technicians, all seem to exhibit those same traits, professional and pleasant. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic.

I had a very pleasant experience with AV Eye Care. They were very careful with their Covid-19 awareness procedures. They were easy to work with and it was a fast in and out even with selecting glass frames. Even though I had sticker shock with the cost of my glasses (they were up $100 from 2 years ago) I’d recommend them to anyone.

I in fact canceled my annual eye appointment because there was not an urgent need for an exam. With the covid-19 pandemic reaching yet again both MN and US record increases and deaths, I decided it wasn’t a risk I was willing to take. The exam is of corse directed in and around my face and eyes, with puffs of air shot into my eyes. I decided the morning of the exam to cancel, communicating via text messaging before the office opened. AVEC must have understood because I was not contacted in that regard which I appreciated. My family has been with Apple Valley Eye Care for 33 years and trust their expertise and care.

I accidentally poked myself in my right eye with my finger on a Sunday ! ( I have natural nails that are very sharp) I called my friend to take me to emergency room . I was in such pain and couldnt open my eye. My friend called AVE and Dr. Kass dropped everything to see me on a SUNDAY. She discovered I had made 4 lacerations on my cornea. She numbed it & I was so relieved😁 she also gave me antibiotic drops and put a lens bandage in that eye. My eye was finally well enough to remove the lens bandage (it is similar to a contact lens) on Tuesday. I have scratched my eye in the past but it was basically just annoying. Not this time...excruciating. I wanted to hug and kiss Dr. Kass but because of Covid19...no can do. Everyone I had contact with at AVE were extremely kind and helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊

My first appointment was for a complete eye exam. It was thorough and efficient. Everyone was welcoming, respectful and professional. This exam led to a referral to a surgeon to assess and ultimately perform cataract surgery. Follow up care was handled through Apple Valley Eye Care. They were tremendously responsive regarding some unforeseen postoperative hiccups. I could and will recommend them to anyone looking for good, responsible and responsive eye care.

Dr. Anderson even went above and beyond by meeting me for an after hours appointment and locating an out-of-state clinic for continued monitoring so I could go forward with my vacation plans. Her daily monitoring of my symptoms has positively progressed to a gradual decrease in care and treatment.I would highly recommend Dr Anderson and Apple Valley EyeCare for any Eyecare needs. Update July 2020. I was able to get in earlier due to a cancellation, so saw a different eye doctor. Very professional as usual. Person doing the pretest stuff was extremely friendly and everyone was professional and seemed genuine. There was a note on my chart from last year that I was about to have a daughter and I was asked about her - it’s the little things that make a big difference.In the Age Of Covid, they did the standard temp check, sanitized stations as I went through them, and and kept track of what areas were clean with little laminated cards.I normally like to get 1 pair of glasses through my insurance and then a backup pair or two online at a site I’ve I’ve used for years that is ridiculously cheap. However, I didn’t decide on a pair in the store, so asked for my PD from last year. I had to ask a couple of times to get it. I don’t hold this against them - I totally get it - I’m pretty sure opticians would have a hard time staying in business without selling lenses and frames. And they did provide it, which I don’t think many would do anymore.I’ve been to a few local opticians in the last few years, and I’m glad I found this one.———Everyone super friendly from call to schedule appointment to exam to picking glasses. No pressure for sales and no rush to get through the exam. Answered all questions and the person who took the eye pictures took the time to show and explain them to me . Decent frame selection.
